Alright, payback time >:)

You now know what my Moonrise Legacy would think of Tyr, so now I return the question! What would the Zarmahan Legacy think of my Jedi Knight, Corrain - would any of them get along? First impressions? For as many or as few of your ocs as you want!

Since you answered with all of yours, I shall return the favor kindly! Yulizzia (JK): It'd depend on when they meet. If Corrain meets 'Bratty'-Yulizzia (Chapter 1 and early Chapter 2), she wouldn't really understand or comprehend Corrain, finding him just weird. However, if he met post Chapter 2 Yuli, who's mainly a generally noble character with the occasional darker streak, she'd be a lot more mature and understanding. If they both went through Vitiate's BS, I could see her bonding with him over it, trying to help him cope and understand. She'd basically be that emotional support friend who acts as someone you can emotionally unpack to and be a shoulder to cry on. I say she and Corrain would get along just fine. Escillan (JC): Escil tends to find he works best with more unconventional Jedi, so he'd get along well with Corrain. Escillan's not a big conversationalist, and he's got his own fair share of social awkwardness. But he is a very good listener, and manages to keep a cool head on his shoulders, so if Corrain isn't too bothered by a lack of response, they should be good to go.

Aellisu (SM): Aellisu, I imagine being that cool uncle or older brother (depends on the age gap). He'd be the type that takes Corrain out to bars or strip joints, teaches him how to shoot and fly, and he might even give tips on how Cor can...'please' Lana and Theron. If Corrain's not into any of that, of course, Ael'll be respectful and back down. Otherwise, they might be buddies, too. Baduenda (RT): Badu might take a while to warm up to Corrain. She's not used to being around people like him, so their relationship might be a little distant. However, if someone like Yuli were to act as a third party, I could see them being acquaintances or friends.

Tyrrnith (SW): Just like Yuli, Tyr would probably get along with Corrain the most. He'd definitely have a lot of respect for Corrain, and can relate to being used as a toy by Vitiate. Even if Cor doesn't trust him, he'd be kind and polite enough to keep his distance. After all, Tyr’s kinda used to being feared and hated by people, he’s almost numb to it.. If Cor were to reach out, however, so would Tyr. Like you said, they wouldn't always see eye-to-eye, but if they bond enough, I could see Cor being a sort of younger brother figure in Tyr's eyes, someone who he'd protect with his life, and maybe even a good hugger if Cor wants him to.

Lavissia (SI): Lavi's is a very snarky and teasing individual. She might occasionally play around with Cor, but nothing absolutely soul-crushing. If he tells her to stop or at least tone it down, she'll definitely do so. She'd want to stay on his good side. Heck, if he's willing, Lavi might even end up being a good 'gossip buddy' for him, as she likes to collect secrets on both her allies and enemies alike.

Hadisha (BH): Hadisha would be a little cautious at first. She's definitely had her fill of smug asshats like Jun Seros, so she wouldn't be rushing to get to know Cor. However, if Cor proves he's nothing like that sort of Jedi, she'd gradually warm up to him, especially if he demonstrates his honor towards her.

A'vash'l (IA): A'vash'l does not like Jedi. I mean, he doesn't like force users in general that much, unless they prove they aren't anything like Jedi or Sith. With Cor, however, I think they'd do alright. If A'vash'l's serving under him, he'd be more than willing to work as an advisor, offering guidance on how to deal with situations, and dealing with anyone Cor wants 'removed'. It's his specialty, after all.

Fully going to just bring my Ketheric rambles over here wholesale.

So the joy of Ketheric fucking Durge to me is that there are three main angles that I think you can play into in his motivations - one is the apathy: he doesn’t care about anything but Isobel and he’s getting used for people’s agendas all the time, why not theirs? The other is the daddy issues, and hey it can be daddy daughter if Durge is a woman to trigger off his issues too but also I think people underplay the idea that potentially if Thisobald actually is his son there’s a rich vein of guilt that can be mined there, and the third is actively trying to cause friction between the established relationship whether it’s sexual or not of Durge and Gortash. Gortash needs to feel in control so fucking with that is delicious, both as a writer and I’m sure from Ketheric’s perspective. For all his apathy there is a spark of pride in him too (“try again” lives in my head rent free.) I think he would love putting Gortash in his place. And what a fun way to do it!

As for Durge, their motivations can be so rich but I love the fact that Ketheric is unkillable and that can either be a delight because they can kill him and he can come back or a complete frustration because of it too! And I love the idea of a Durge without a family going to the towers and finding out more about Ketheric and Melodia and Isobel and going… oh. This can be had. There is a simple happiness here that is so out of reach.

And then! There’s a whole area to explore around legacy with Ketheric too. And Gortash, for that matter. Both of them are legacy building where the child of Bhaal exists only for their father’s use and consumption whether they are aware of it or not. What does that do to them? Gortash writes part of his memoirs at Moonrise. Ketheric already had murals and statues dedicated to his prowess as a general all around them. Everybody knows his name. The Dark Urge might not even have one.

Could that create jealousy? A desire to tear apart the Great General as well as the man?

What is Corrian’s relationship like with Koth?

Corrain's relationship with Koth is....tense, especially at first. Because while on one hand he's grateful to Koth for risking his life to help Lana rescue him from being Cor-bonite (i'm so sorry XD) - and doubly grateful to Koth for helping Lana care for him after the carbonite poisoning took it's toll (Corrain reacts the cure badly and ends up pretty sick for a few days while it slowly works its way out of his system) - he's REALLY not fond of Koth implying that Valkorion was. a good guy, in any way. So he's...civil, but it's very strained.

This comes to a head when the Scions lure Corrain and Senya into their little test to try and see why they can't foretell Corrain's future, and it's revealed that he's got Valkorion in his head. Both Koth and Senya are- excited by this, they think it's a *good* thing, and Corrain has suffered SO much at Vitiate's hands. He's seen first-hand how this man has destroyed the galaxy for his own gain, (Uphrades, Ziost) seen how Zakuul's prosperity was built on Valkorion funneling shit away from the Sith - and he snaps.

And it's not like- he just loses his temper. Because he does - but by this point in the plot he's strong enough in the Force that when he loses his temper he also loses grip on the Force, and he accidentally drags everyone present into an extremely vivid hallucination of a series of moments from his past - his torment on the Fortress, Uphrades burning, Ziost's death and Vitiate taunting him there, Orgus's death and the murder of his entire creche, that sort of thing. It's kind of a forced reverse-psychometry, and he's not in control of it. (This is where Valkorion has the opportunity to snatch a few of Corrain's memories as well, and from the memories of Corrain's mother, he realizes that Corrain is his son)

Lana has to calm Corrain down to get the whirlwind hallucinations to stop, he's managed to accidentally do some structural damage, Koth and Senya are both in utter shock both at Corrain's raw strength in the Force and the scale of devastation that Valkorion/Vitiate was able to invoke upon the galaxy - Koth doesn't say shit about Valkorion being good for Zakuul after this. Neither does Senya. Neither of them are willing to risk that kind of wrath again.

After this incident, Corrain and Koth get on alright. They're not close, but they're not necessarily antagonistic either, and Koth respects Corrain's dedication to trying to preserve Zakuul as well as he can. And they kind of maintain that distant-colleagues attitude for their entire 'partnership'

I'm a scientist by day and a warrior cats fanfic author by night. I'll be using this blog mostly to share my writings and any thoughts that come along with that, as well as general Warriors-related musing. You can find the links and summaries of my Warriors fanfics below!

Cold Bloodlines

My current main focus, in progress: Trilogy with two out of three books finished. The third book is over 75% completed!

This is a "soft reboot" of Warriors, featuring a new cast of characters and conflict, a new time period (taking place in the past, after DotC but before SkyClan left the forest) and some additional worldbuilding around Clan cultures/traditions.

It follows Frost, a young rogue kit who is left alone in ShadowClan after being rejected by her father and orphaned after the death of her mother, as she tries to prove herself and find the place where she belongs.

Shaken Roots: A New Prophecy Rewrite

My secondary focus, in progress: The first and second books, "Shaken Roots: Midnight" and “Shaken Roots: Moonrise,” are complete! The next book, Dawn is now being written! I’m hoping that I’ll begin to publish chapters for Dawn on AO3 sometime mid-2024.

It's basically what it says on the tin: The New Prophecy but I do my best to improve on the weaknesses of the arc to create a stronger, more cohesive narrative while not entirely destroying the Erins' original vision. Many thanks to Tennelle Flowers, whose video "Let's Rewrite The New Prophecy" inspired me to start this fic!

Lightning's Storm

Low priority, complete(ish.) This is a rewrite my first fic, originally published on Fanfiction.net from 2014-2017. The rewrite is only 75% finished, but the final 25% of the original remains on FF if you dare read my ancient writing.

This diverges from canon following "SkyClan's Destiny." Written in the style of the old super editions, it follows Leafstar's daughter, Lightningkit, from kithood to becoming a warrior in modern day SkyClan. The Clan is thriving until a new danger appears, and the young warrior finds herself in the middle of the conflict and the focus of an ominous prophecy.

This fic explores themes of destiny vs free will and asks the question how much power a cat truly holds over their fate.

Warriors Characters' Spotlights

This is a collection of oneshots and novellas that are each focused on a particular canon warrior cat with the intent to show "missing scenes," or fill out gaps in the canon timeline. I write these sporadically, whenever I feel inspired to.

Fics in the series: "Leopardstar's Regret," exploring Leopardstar's emotions in the time after TigerClan.

"Ashfur's Judgment," exploring Ashfur's StarClan trial.

"Hawkfrost's Plot," exploring how Hawkfrost and Ashfur planned to kill Firestar together.

"Thrushpelt's Love," exploring Thrushpelt's relationship with Bluefur.

"Fernsong's Grief," exploring Fernsong's emotions after Bristlefrost's death.

"The Herb Thieves," which is my short story entry to the official 2021 Warriors competition about Brightpaw investigating some missing herbs. I didn't win, but I'm honored to have been mentioned among the top 10.

"Ashfur's Purgatory," exploring Ashfur's time in StarClan between his death and The Broken Code (acts as a follow-up to Ashfur's Judgment)

“Squirrelstar’s Lives,” a fic about the nine lives ceremony that I’d like Squirrelflight to have.

“Silverhawk’s Legacy,” an in-progress novella about Silverhawk’s life and actions that eventually land him in the Dark Forest. It is set in the Clan’s distant past, right after the tradition of leaders being succeeded by their kin is replaced with the amended warrior code, which states that deputies always take over after their leader’s death.

Another one of those silly stories made with the wonderful game made by the folks at officialclangen!! This is vaguely a Legacy challenge run, in that all the leaders must be kin of the previous one. Otherwise, it's just a fun story that's slowly being put together!
