Yknow why im not really that stressed at my new retail job?

Everyone is nice and understanding and patient which is good bc its my first job

Customers are actually quite pleasant. there's been maybe two or three that I've seen be mildly rude, and I was not the one to deal w them lol

Even the managers check in like "hey howre you doing? how you holding up? are you liking the job so far?" which helps me remember what i DO like about the job. Also they will not tell people off for standing out back when doing trash rounds and smoking, just join the conversation

Everyone just jokes around and even during busy hours everyone mostly keeps up a good attitude even when away from the front where customers can see

One of my coworkers is trans and everyones okay w it. He uses they/them pronouns for me when I said I use any whereas people usually assume she/her. When a new hire was there yesterday, coworker introduced himself by saying "[name] he/him" and THE NEW HIRE WITHOUT MISSING A BEAT SAID "[name] also he/him"

Same coworker is also a furry and openly admitted to it. No one raised an eyebrow, another coworker just asked him questions about the beef going on with a particular furry in our city when he was complaining

slow down for your disabled friends. thats like a bare minimum kindness that we shouldnt have to ask for. i love that youre so quirky and walking fast is a cool personality trait to you and all that but i bet you can count your physically disabled friends on less than one hand

what's my biggest pet peeve well it's when someone makes a text post on tumblr dot com in which they are trying to romanticize the notion of the livestock guardian dog but they don't know the distinction between a livestock guardian dog and a herding dog and also they've never met a livestock guardian dog and do not realize what their attitudes towards the sheep that they protect actually are

Offscreen, Dipper probably went on a crazy, fantastical journey to break into the multiverse and find his great uncle. It was at LEAST as intense and eventful as one full season of gravity falls. Made friends, enemies, friends from his enemies, maybe a whirlwind romance. And the whole thing was leading up to finding his grunkle in a fucked up contest to determine which Man Will Become Pregnant.

(Congrats on making it to the finals, Ford!! I'm actually so excited about this.)

I dont know how White fandom ppl will watch a movie or series with like a 99% nonwhite cast & a plot focusing on them & their culture, but instead will hyperfocus on the one or two White characters (often ones that are there specifically to be the villians and are racist) that are there and then not think that that's weird

being plural means a headmate pulling you into headspace to cuddle with you and help you go to sleep because of your& insomnia

being plural means smiling and laughing at a joke one of your headmates made, or having witty banter with them as you make a meal that you'll both be able to enjoy

being plural means a headmate going "its okay, you don't have to do this, i can do it" and you thanking them because yeah, you cant do that, and thats okay

reveal of my gordon hlvrai costume project, now that about half of it is done! this is cardstock and glue and tape and more glue and paint and velcro. and 2 gloves (one hand-sewn)

i got started sometime in early-mid fall, but i committed to making it work with cardstock in january- it was originally meant to be a sizing test before construction with eva foam over the summer. then i realized how expensive thatd be, too much pressure for a form of craft ive never practiced. im pretty amazed with how its come together, even with the large seams! during that whole time when it was unpainted (started painting two weeks ago) there was no way to tell
