@bucketofdrugs is ruining Hank's day
Lucy had been nervously clutching at her little bouquet while Overseer Jackson stepped in to discuss the exchange with her dad, happy to reunite with a friend. "So... who am I marrying?" she asked playfully, but with a hint of nervousness, and the Overseer moved aside to let her future husband come in. Oh. He was a charming looking man, now that was sure. Older than her, which raised a few questions - had he chosen to not marry? had he not been given the chance before because there was something wrong with him? He was married and divorced or widowed? - but she noted with relief that there was nothing scary or immediately displeasing about him. He was not a cannibal or full of tumors either, no matter what Norm said. She hadn't seen his butt yet, to finish refuting everything her brother had suggested. Plus, since he was handsome, it would not be difficult to do her part in repopulating America, and that was great.
So Lucy smiled, her wide, happy, friendly smile, "Hi, I'm Lucy. Do you have a name?"

Character Info Sheet
name: Lucy Bloodengutz/Katherine Kurtzberg
name meaning:
Light for Lucy / Pure for Katherine. Point and laugh at the irony.
alias(es)/nicknames: Technically Lucy is the alias, since her legal name is still Katherine, but she considers it like a real name. Nicknames are Kat and Katie, but they haven't been used much recently
ethnicity: American of German, English, and Armenian descent
one picture you like best of your chara:
Tumblr media
Always makes me think of the Kat that may have been if she'd not been through the trauma that made her Lucy. It's very back of the book author picture
three h/cs you've never told anyone:
1. Lucy, due to going off the deep end, never went to college. She was accepted to a lot of good schools and even had full rides some places. She just never replied to any of them, since she was in such a deep depression at the time. She's considered reapplying before 2. Larry actually wanted to continue the Mary based names for girls more than Marianne did. She took no stock in the family legacy in that sense, just the generations of psychiatrists. Larry was the one that suggested Maria, which ended up being her middle name. 3. She can't handle anything more alcoholic than wine. She likes the idea of pretty martinis, but she will get drunk very quickly if she actually drinks them
three things your character likes doing in their free time:
1. Reading. She's still an avid reader and is always after new avant garde fiction to consume 2. Listening to music and disassociating 3. Watching old Hollywood movies
eight people your character likes / loves:
1. Her brother, Harry 2. Reynolds (RIP) 3. Paulo (@oughtabeinpxctures) 4. Dom (@hxuntedshxdows) 5. Nadia (@birdhouse-in-thesoul) 6. Julian (@phantomcurtaincall) 7. Bird (@marisetcaelum) 8. Carlos (@handicappedbuenchico)
two things your character regrets:
1. Not doing anything when her godfather was being held hostage and then killed 2. Her failure to get her work out there/her inability to procure justice. She feels like she's spinning her wheels
two phobias your character has:
1. People she loves dying 2. Becoming like her father

Listen, if you were to push Lucifer down on his back, then pin his arms above his head and sit down on his stomach as you smirk down at him, he WILL short circuit so hard that his pride will be temporarily deleted from his brain
For the next century or so, his gaze will continue to hold nothing but complete and utter reverence for You and only You. He will look at You like You are beauty and holiness and perfection incarnate, as if the only purpose of the stars decorating the night sky above—and by extension, the only purpose of the morning star himself—was to bear witness to Your allure and charm. To the brilliance of Your existence
Compared to You, his father has been nothing but a false idol all this time
Also if you lie down on his chest & raise your head just high enough that he can't kiss you he will start to vibrate at 900 miles per hour proof: I'm the skeleton in Luci's room

Okay, now that we've gotten confirmation of season 7, I am more confident than ever saying what may be an unpopular opinion.
Tim and Lucy need to stay broken up for the rest of the season.
Here's the thing. We're walking a very fine line with this.
I do believe (and neeeed) Chenford will come back together. They will always be end game.
Having said that, again, it's a fine line. If the writers bring them back too quickly (anytime this season) than what was the point of the break up in the first place?
If they wait too long, many of us will stop caring about the relationship, and as a result, the show, and the ratings will tank.
Just my opinion here, but I really think the sweet spot for bringing them back together is somewhere between 7x04-7x10.
I never wanted this breakup in the first place, but now that we're here, I just want them to do the storyline justice.

It isn't that Lucy doesn't know Helen is her mother. She remembers, in hazy, smudged colours, the shape of those lips upon her forehead. The feeling of those soft fingers in her hair, knotted at the back, greasy in the front. Dark eyes, in dots, as a painting that makes no sense at all when viewed up close.
Helen Pevensie is thick layers of paint, not yet dry. Not yet framed. Not yet hung, with instructions on where to stand. So when Lucy, with child-eyes and child-lungs, looks at her, she sees:
Susan's smile lines. Peter's nose. The blush of Edmund's lips. Her own freckles, faded and powdered. Smudged. When she smiles and cradles little eight year old Lucy in her arms, the paint flakes from her hair.
Greys and browns. Blues.
Susan's skin is smooth. There is a gap between her teeth, and her hair is too short by half. Lucy skims her knees running on a straight alley, and it's Susan who holds her in her lap, humming songs of home. Susan's small hands on her neck, Susan's eyes, no longer golden as the mid-day sun in a cloudless sky.
Peter's nose is missing the hump that came from breaking it when he was ten-and-seven. His cheeks are bare. His hands are steady when she presses against him, fevered and coughing and greying at the edges. His voice is too high when he reads to her, and his skin is too soft.
His eyes are just blue, now, nevermind the storm outside.
It isn't that Lucy doesn't know Helen is her mother. It is just that her lap isn't the one she folds herself into. It's just that it isn't her blouse she presses her tears into.
"Lucy, darling", says Helen Pevensie. Her eyes are grey. Her mouth is grey. Her hands are grey. "Come sit with your mother, hm?" Lucy turns her face into the crook of Susan's neck.
Helen Pevensie sighs.

@aamusedly asked for a Lucy starter - warning: spoilers about the finale ahead.
It had taken Lucy a couple of days to feel like talking again: seeing her mother as a feral ghoul, learning that her father was behind that and Shady Sands, leaving Maximus behind, and everything else that Moldaver had told her was simply too much to digest. Everything about her life had been one lie after the other, or at least it felt that way. Still, there was a part of her that refused to believe there was only misery in this world: Norm had nothing to do with her father's choices and was waiting for her in the Vault, Maximus was still breathing, and there had to be hope for a better life now that cold fusion was active.
Tumblr media
She was still quiet, besides a few words here and there to the Ghoul and to a few merchants they met on the road, but what truly snapped her out of her silent sadness was the dog, finally sitting close to her during a break to eat. It was a rather adorable animal when it wasn't consuming cockroaches, one she had only seen in old movies and journals, and she found herself rubbing his back, at first with caution but then more comfortably as the dog seemed all too happy to receive attention. See, hope.
"Did you hear what that merchant said this morning?" she piped up, but her voice sounded off to her own ears; a bit of forced enthusiasm there, in her attempt to stop feeling like she was still being kept underwater. "If all this energy reaches the laboratory, it may be able to clean irradiated water. Clean water should be in everyone's best interest and it's just on our way." People steered away from it because the place was 'infested by cockroaches and other things', the merchant had also said, but they had faced worse, and surely the Ghoul would also agree that drinking more dirty water would harm him as well as her. What she really wanted to ask him was how did he know her father exactly, and what had happened to his family, but Lucy knew she needed to talk a bit more about something else, anything, before she could take whatever awful answer he'd give her.

“this wasn't supposed to happen.” From Dom to Lucy - hxuntedshxdows
@hxuntedshxdows
Here she was, laying in the bed of the man who'd more or less acted as secret keeper for her and Adelaide. He'd warned her several times that this was a bad idea to mess with her, that he knew from personal experience; his kindness was something all together new to her. Lucy wasn't used to the detail anyone paid to her interests or likes; even Adelaide didn't do anything special with the knowledge that she loved Bossa nova music and had a love for silly horror movies as well as the serious ones. Dom, however, did. It was no conscious decision to end up in bed with him, but with his concern, tensions were high, and they'd suddenly started kissing, then much more.
"I know it wasn't. I certainly didn't plan for it," she replied with a soft huff. The young writer wasn't angry with the situation by any means, more so, this just made things more complicated. Dom was good. He was handsome. He lingered on his own mistakes too much. ...it was easy to romanticize the thought of him. All the same, she knew what just transpired was likely a moment of passion and nothing more. "If you wish to forget this ever happened, my lips will be sealed. All the same, I'd like to thank you for the care you've shown me tonight. I don't know if I've ever had such a... giving partner."

The best thing about BSD Lucy Montgomery is that she is trying so hard to live her fairy tale dream, like asking Atsushi to save her from the Guild and all that nonsense.
Instead, she just gets beaten by him once when they're enemies, gets out of the Guild on her own, and has to save that sorry boy's life over and over again.
Like, sorry, Lucy girl...you're not the damsel in distress in this fairy tale. You're the prince charming who had a bit of a villain arc and now is doing good out of sheer spite and stubborness. Better luck next arc?
