I helped a much older butch lesbian pick out the ripe avocados from the pile in a shop today.

She casually told me that she wanted to make avocado toast for her wife for Easter morning because her wife couldn't eat dairy (like chocolate) but she really liked avocado toast (like it was one of her fav foods), except they didn't have it often because they're expensive and only her wife eats them. Saw that video with the cool old fridge and the first comment after the OP was ‘look what they took from us’ and my spidey senses started tingling. So I checked and it was not in fact an ironic deployment of the phrase; that person genuinely believes in all the related antisemitic conspiracy theories. And so does OP. And so do like. The next several commenters except for the last, who is just part of the trans witchy side of tumblr.

And I do wonder who was following whom for a post like that to break containment to people who so clearly do not believe anything OP does, but I also think its sort of an object lesson in how the ironic deployment of neonazi memes and related shithead phrases allows people who use them with sincerity to append those comments in plain sight without anyone in the subsequent reblog chain going ‘wait hey what the fuck.’

So earlier in art class today, someone drew a characters hands in their pockets and mentioned that hands are really like the ultimate end boss of art, and most of us wholeheartedly agreed. So then, our teacher went ahead and free handed like a handful of hands on the board, earning a woah from a couple of students. So the one from earlier mentioned how it barely took the teacher ten seconds to do what I can’t do in three hours. And you know what he responded?

“It didn’t take me ten seconds, it took me forty years.”

And you know, that stuck with me somehow. Because yeah. Drawing a hand didn’t take him fourth years. But learning and practicing to draw a hand in ten seconds did. And I think there’s something to learn there but it’s so warm and my brain is fried so I can’t formulate the actual morale of the lesson.

The authors of XKit Rewritten said during the experiments that at the time, since this was an "experiment" they weren't going to implement anything to revert to the old UI (although who knows if they'll do it now). And the dashboard unfucker has worked beautifully enough for me to where I genuinely couldn't tell if they had ended the experiment or not.

Hey, a quick PSA:

Stranger Things is green-lit for its final season. It's not getting renewed anyway. Refusing to watch a show that's already being made does nothing of importance, just like how watching movies already being released did nothing to harm the WGA/SAG strike.

If you want to do something that will actually make some kind of difference you can:

Cancel your Netflix subscription and actually stop giving money.

Don't buy any Stranger Things merch going forward.

Boycott the companies that Palestinians are ASKING you to boycott. Boycott McDonalds, Starbucks, Disney+, and all the other companies on the list they GAVE you. Targeted boycotting is more effective, and these companies are directly supporting Israel.

Keep talking about Palestine more than you talk about Noah/Stranger Things. Keep the focus on Palestinians!
