Lord of the Rings is an Action Shojo.
Reasoning:
- Nature symbolism everywhere, specifically trees going into blossom.
- Éowyn is the classic "I must disguise my gender in order to fight!" heroine. No changes required to make her an Anime Protagonist, she even has a crush on a man who already has a girlfriend. She still manages to get with Best Boy so all is good.
- Aragorn is a hidden/reluctant Prince (King) who is both incredibly gentle in his approach to life, and an all mighty powerful fighter.
- Horsies =D
- Homoromantic Under/Overtones of Frodo and Sam.
- Narrative that emphasises emotional intimacy over fighting prowess. Yes, Aragorn does get a cool Power Up Weapon, but more importantly it's him accepting his destiny and his role as heir of Gondor. The sword doesn't give him magical powers, it gives him responsibilities.
- Galadrial's "IN PLACE OF A DARK LORD YOU WOULD HAVE A QUEEN!" moment feels like something straight out of Sailor Moon, right down the beautiful costuming. A+ No commentary needed.
- You just KNOW that the metaphorical Sakura was blowing in the wind during Faramir's proposal scene.
- No For real: "Yet I will wed with the White Lady of Rohan, if it be her will. And if she will, then let us cross the River and in happier days let us dwell in fair Ithilien and there make a garden. All things will grow with joy there, if the White Lady comes." is peek Shojo Romance. Kiss Kiss Fall In Love you adorable Mother Fuckers.
- Actually Aragorn and Arwen fall into this category too. Right down to the slightly weird "We're distant cousins actually, and also I’m her Foster Brother, but we only just met as adults where I first saw her looking beautiful underneath the woodland trees and I mistook her for our shared ancestor."
- Samwise is the embodiment of the Childhood Friend character who the heroine should have gotten with and then didn't for some BS reason? Except of course he does get the girl/boy in the end. Thankfully!
- Tragic Deaths that have actual meaning to the narrative.
- Everyone's fashion is absolutely on point at all times. Even when they're just in ratty travelling clothes they're still all gorgeous.
- Somewhat bitter Sweet ending that discusses the different ways we deal with grief and PTSD.
- Merry and Pippin as the comic relief best friends who get their own arc and become fan favourites beyond what happens in the main story line.
- Elijah Wood has magical sparkle Shojo eyes. He just does. Frodo is Anime.
- I like Shojo AND I like Lord of the Rings ergo Lord of the Rings MUST be a Shojo.

The Teagan Valencia Series: The Meeting  / The Fight / The Proposal / The Present / The Recovery / The Future
The Future
“Teags? Baby you gotta get up now... Teags, come on. I can’t let you sleep in any more. Plus, breakfast is here and you need to eat before things get crazy”
Teagan snuggled into her pillow a little more, groaning at Charlie’s soft voice that disturbed her slumber. She was never a morning person, but she knew today she had to be. After a solid year of planning, the countless hours she spent at Bridal expos with Savannah and her cousin and all the tedious decisions her and Charlie had to make, their day was here. She rolled over to face his side of the bed and opened her eyes, squinting at the sunlight and the beauty before her. Charlie was smiling, familiar twinkle in his eyes that she often saw when he was excited.
Today was the day!
“What’d you get us for breakfast?” he chuckled, kissing her on the nose, not surprised that she cared more about the food than getting up and getting ready for their big day.
“Well, you’re going to have to put some clothes on and meet me on the balcony to see. You get five minutes” she groaned at his conditions and pulled the blanket over her head, not wanting to leave the warmth of the bed. Grabbing her phone off the nightstand, she saw that it was 7am and with a big sigh she got up and threw on a hoodie and sweats. She followed the scent of her nose into the living room of their hotel room, shivering a bit as she felt the cool air from the balcony come through. The view of the mountains from their balcony was breathtaking and adding Charlie while he softly played his guitar made it even better. Teagan wished that she could freeze time to just soak in this moment, capturing the image in her memory, but she knew they were on the clock now. She padded softly over to Charlie, kissing his lips quickly before taking a seat at their table for two. He had arranged the table with everything that was previously on the room service trolley, including the small arrangement of flowers in a slim glass vase at the center of their table.
“Well this is sure fancy! Thank god for room service, no?” she smiled lovingly at him as he rested his guitar on the side of the table. He grimaced at his placement and went to move his guitar to a more secure location, eventually deciding to run it into the suite, placing it on the couch. She giggled at his antics and as he hurried over back to her.
“I mean, seeing as we both love food and most people hate us when we’re hangry, I thought a nice, big, but healthy, eggs benny would be the perfect fuel for the start of our day” he smiled brightly, running his hand through his hair as she took a sip of coffee. He offered her both of his hands across the table and she placed her hands in his, both bowing their heads and saying a silent grace before beginning to eat their meals. As they sat and ate their breakfast together, they enjoyed the calmness of their environment briefly discussing what their respective schedules would be like that day. The two had made a point that they wanted to start their big day together. The entire event would be busy, but having a moment together to enjoy their last meal as an engaged couple was probably one of the best decisions they had made for their special occasion. However, this moment couldn’t last forever as Charlie’s phone started ringing and a loud knock at the door signaled the end of their breakfast. Charlie opened the door as he answered his phone, smiling at Savannah and Teagan’s cousin Michelle as his silent hello, continuing his conversation on the phone.
“It’s Wedding Day! Good morning our beautiful bride!” Teagan smiled at the excitement her two maids of honor had as they rushed in to give her big hugs. “You all ready for today?” Savannah asked, her giddiness radiating through her smile.
“Let’s do this!” Teagan smiled, getting up from her seat picking up the plates from their breakfast, the other two girls helping her. Charlie caught her waist after she put the dishes on the trolley and pulled her close as she giggled at the sudden action. He started to tickle and kiss her as she helplessly fought to get out of his grip. “Charlie! Come on! That tickles! No fair!”
“Just one last kiss as your fiancé?” he pouted, turning her around to face him. She shook her head and rolled her eyes, giving him a kiss, but he quickly deepened it. “I’m going to go to Owen’s room to get ready. Everything’s already over there. You gonna be okay getting ready here?”
“Leave her with us Charlie. We’ll take care of everything!” Michelle smiled, reassuring the groom. Charlie opened his mouth before Savannah interrupted him. “Call you if we need anything. We know!” and with one more quick peck and a hug, Charlie slid out the door. “Alright miss, you got 30 minutes to shower before the hairstylist, makeup artist and photographer arrive. The other girls will be over with snacks and sangria in about an hour! Hop to it!”
The next few hours were a blur. After Charlie left, Teagan did shower and get into her bridal robe for the rest of the morning. True to Savannah’s words, she was swept away to get her hair and make up done while the photographer took pictures of her getting ready. Teagan’s sister, Charlie’s sister Megan and Teagan’s childhood friend showed up right on schedule with her bridal gown and the other bridesmaid dresses. In a whirlwind of hairspray, powder and camera flashes, wine glasses were toasted, music played softly in the background and Teagan’s mother showed up to help her put her wedding dress on.
Meanwhile, Charlie was playing rock band in Owen’s suite with Jeremy and Charlie’s brothers, snacking and toasting the occasional alcoholic beverage to one another. Eventually the boys got ready and headed over to the ceremony location making sure everything was fine. Charlie was grateful that Teagan had suggested hiring a wedding planner and coordinator as he had no idea what still needed to get done. However, the planner had everything under control and simply used their muscles to help move a couple things around, eventually shooing them away to a small room as guests started arriving.
Teagan shared soft tears with her mother as she put on the finishing touches on her outfit, buttoning up the last buttons on her dress and placing the veil on her head. They both cried a little harder when her father entered the suit to see his daughter all dressed up. After a few teary moments and a touch up here and there, the group took a few photos and headed down to the lobby of the Fairmont Whistler where their limo awaited.
As the music at the ceremony began, Charlie took his cue, with the help of the planner that is, to head down the aisle with his parents at his side to the altar. As each couple walked down the aisle and lined up on either side of the altar, Charlie eagerly searched for his bride. He smiled and high fived their ring bearer and flower girl as they made it to the end of the aisle and into their seats and as the crowd rose, the music pausing for a moment, Charlie knew it was time. As the music played, his eyes lit up as his bride and soon to be wife appeared at the top of the aisle. Teagan locked eyes with him and held his gaze as she floated down, her parents at either side. For the both of them, it felt like an eternity had passed until Teagan arrived at the altar, the both of them hugging her parents and quickly taking their places in front of the officiant.
Just like that, the ceremony began without a hitch and it went perfectly. They completed wedding Traditions in the Filipino culture for Teagan’s family, with a few clumsy moments with Charlie. Teagan had insisted that if Charlie was uncomfortable with the traditions, they could leave it out of the ceremony no problem, but Charlie always loved learning about her culture and thought it would make the ceremony that much more special to include it. When it came time for the vows, Owen passed Charlie a folded up piece of paper and with a deep breath he prepared to read it. But for a moment he paused, reading over the first few lines and then crumpled it up, shoving it into his pant pocket, the crowd laughing at his actions.
“I wish I had the perfect words to describe how much I love you or how amazing of a person you are, but there simply aren’t. I am eternally grateful for how much you have impacted my life. Before you, I was a chaotic mess that would be running around from thing to thing. I mean, I’m still a chaotic thing that runs around from thing to thing, but I now have someone following me, supporting me, reeling me in when I’ve gone off the deep end and occasionally engaging in the chaos with me. I remember feeling like absolute shit when I spilled coffee on you that day, but you were so kind and forgiving. You’ve never met me with anger and you’ve always shifted your life around for me. I knew what commitment was, but I didn’t understand until what it was until you came into my life. I’d always be off on some adventure, doing whatever it is that I wanted and I never knew that I wanted, needed, someone in my life until I left you in Canada after asking you to be my girlfriend. I know I don’t have the best timing, and I eat weird food that make my breath smell weird, but I vow to love you, cherish you and be with you even after life decides to separate us. There is no one else in this lifetime for me, other than you. Mahal na Mahal Kita” Teagan smiled and used the Kleenex Savannah had given her to blot away the tears, as Michelle passed her a neatly folded paper.
“I wish I was as good at winging it, but I’m not so I’m going to read mine” the crowd chuckled at her comment as she took a deep breath, steadying herself before reading. “Monsieur Gillespie, je t’aime. From the moment you spilled coffee on me, I knew that fate had brought you into my life for a reason. At first, I thought you were put into my life to force me to live a little and take a break from my life, but I was so wrong. It wasn’t until I was going through therapy, that I realized why you were a part of my life. I’ve always loved everything about you, from your adventurous side to your caring gentle side and yes, even your chaotic side that, at times, makes me want to kill you. But I didn’t know how much I needed you until I faced the biggest adversity I had ever faced in my life. Throughout my entire recovery process, and as I still recover from the trauma, time and time again you have shown me that I am worthy of love.” her voice cracked and she had to take a few deep breaths before continuing. “Even though I felt broken, ashamed and disgusted with myself, you continued to do whatever it took to help me feel like me again. Had you not been with me through the whole ordeal, I don’t think I would be standing here today, marrying you, as the happiest woman in the world. I vow to love you with every ounce of my being and I commit an eternity to loving you and supporting you. Il n’y a rien dans le monde qui peut enlever mon amour pour toi. Je t’aimerai aujourd'hui, demain, la semaine prochaine, pendant les mois qui suivent et toutes les années après ça.” As she finished, Charlie wiped away a tear that managed to escape his eyes and held her hand tightly.
In this moment, there was nothing that could take away the peace that befell both of their hearts as they vowed to spend their lives loving one another unconditionally. They exchanged their rings, sealed their commitment to one another with an “I do” and were officially pronounced Husband and Wife. As they walked up the aisle to  the main lobby area of the Nikita Lake Lodge, they giggled and stole a few kisses here and there before being joined by a photographer and starting their two hour photoshoot. Teagan’s parents interrupted their photos briefly to bring the two a snack and coffee from the Tim Hortons down the road, which the newly wed couple were grateful for.
As the reception drew nearer, the couple were ushered into the limo with the rest of their bridal party and were welcomed by Teagan’s hairstylist and make-up artist for touch ups. Everyone was quickly ushered into a small waiting room away from the main reception hall and they indulged in hot hors d’oeuvres and champagne, awaiting for their time to enter the reception. If Charlie and Teagan could have it their way, they would’ve celebrated like this for the rest of the evening, but they knew that there would be cries of outrage without a reception from both family and friends.
As the night drew on, they dined on delicious food supplied by the hotel caterers, occasionally interrupted by the clinking of glasses to steal a kiss from one another. They shared their first dance as a couple and Teagan smashed a mini cupcake in Charlie’s face when they cut their cake, but their favorite part was the toasts. Savannah kept her composure, while Michelle did not as both girls gushed over the newly wed couple and the memories they shared with the both of them. Owen went completely off script but Jeremy was there to help him get back on track for the both of them to deliver a great speech that had everyone doubling over in laughter, but also tearing up at the end. When the couple said their Thank yous, and wrapped up for the night, the part they had been looking forward to the most had finally arrived.
The dance floor, unlike most weddings, was full with people the entire night. Everyone had the time of their lives dancing and the newly weds were occasionally interrupted by their guests who wanted to wish them well and say their goodbyes. Owen did his signature Flash Dance jump with Charlie and Jeremy, while Maddie, Jadah and Savannah killed it when Beyoncé came on. Charlie and Teagan were honestly the happiest they had been in a long time, but the night had to wrap up eventually, and as much as they tried to help and clean up the reception, their bridal party forced them to go back to their suite.
Upon entering their suite, they were shocked to see that the entire place had been cleaned, as a  bottle of champagne on ice and a plate of chocolate dipped strawberries welcomed them on the counter. Teagan munched on the strawberries as Charlie popped the champagne pouring them a small amount in the champagne flutes. The tired, but happy, couple sat on the couch cuddling and sipping champagne in a comfortable silence, hand intertwined. As Teagan gave a big yawn, Charlie couldn’t help but smile before a yawn overcame him as well.
“I really don’t know how couples have the energy to have sex on their wedding night. Like honeymoon I get, but man this was a long day!” Charlie burst out laughing at Teagan’s tired observation and kissed her on the forehead as he got up from the couch. He extended his hands out to her, offering her to help her up from the couch, knowing that a wedding dress wasn’t always the easiest to move around in. Charlie helped Teagan out of her dress, kissing her back softly as he undid every button sending shivers up her spine. When she was out of her dress, she quickly picked it up and hung it on the hanger it originally came with as Charlie undressed to his boxers and climbed in bed. As he flicked on the light of their bedside table and plugged their phones in, Teagan shut the main bedroom lights off and crawled into bed with her husband.
“So how does it feel to be Mrs. Gillespie?” Charlie wiggled his eyebrows at her, pulling her closer to him. She pondered for a moment, already knowing an answer, but knowing her fake hesitation would catch Charlie off guard. His smile faltered for a second, a little confused.
“Honestly? Pretty fuckin great!” He laughed at her response, kissing her on the lips. “How does it feel to be married to me?” Charlie paused a moment, eyes twinkling and grinning at her.
“Pretty. Fuckin. Great”

Reader x Jongho
Word Count: 1590
Summary: Apple
Tumblr media
Jongho rolls over to wrap his arm over his girlfriend’s, Y/N’s, waist.  When he reaches out, he feels nothing.  His eyes snap open to look at her spot on the bed only to find a single apple.  Grabbing the apple while laughing, Jongho calls out to his girlfriend to stop hiding, “how funny, Y/N.  Now come here.”
When he gets no response, he sits up in the bed looking around.  She’s nowhere in the room.
He decides that she’s probably already awake and in the living room, so he goes to the bathroom to wash up.  Finishing that relatively quickly, he runs to the living room to find his girlfriend.
There’s still no girlfriend to be found; instead, there is a basket of apples on the coffee table with a note attached.
My apple breaker, where did we first meet?
Jongo’s gummy smile pulls across his face, “did she make a scavenger hunt?  An apple-themed one at that.”  He begins to rethink to the beginning of their relationship, almost three years ago.
The couple met through his groupmate, Yeosang, because Y/N grew up in Pohang with Yeosang and the pair are childhood best friends.  These two went to the same school from elementary to high school, and are the same age making Jongho one year younger than his girlfriend.
He considers this an accomplishment since he’s mature enough to get an older girlfriend.
Yeosang introduced Y/N to him, technically the entire group, for the first time in their practice room.  Since Y/N began working as a choreographer just that year, Yeosang brought her in to help make some performances.
Jongho takes one of the apples to eat then walks out the front door, heading to the KQ building.
He arrives at the building pretty fast, in twenty minutes or so, already starting to run towards the door and up the stairs to the practice room.
Slamming open the practice room door,  Jongho takes in Wooyoung eating an apple while holding the next note.
“Your girl is pretty damn romantic, Jjong.  I think I might want to snatch her,” Wooyoung sends Jongho a smirk as he hands him the note.  Jongho rolls his eyes at Woo’s words sending a quick thank you before snatching the note.
I apple-solutely fell for you at first sight here.  Where did we go for our first date?
Jongho thinks to himself, “is she really going to keep up the apple puns?”  He lets his smile break across his face once again slipping the note into his pocket heading out the KQ building.
They never officially had a first date, but the first time they met each other alone was by accident at a cafe near KQ.  The two ran into each other, decided to talk over their drinks - an iced americano and an iced matcha latte - then somehow spent the entire day together.
He tossed the apple core into one of the trash piles, there’s hardly a trashcan on streets in Korea, as he makes his way to the cafe.
Right when he walks in, the owner walks up to him handing him an apple, a note, and an iced americano.  “I remember seeing the two of you come in years ago. It's amazing to see the two of you still together, not to mention how romantic your girl is.  Next time the two of you come in together, it’s on me,” the owner gushes at Jongho’s relationship as she shoos him out the door.
Jongho takes a sip of his drink while reading the next note.
You have to strengthen your core at this place!  Haha, core.
This note is the first that makes him laugh aloud, how can my girlfriend be so cute.  The next place is Jongho’s favorite gym where Y/N always goes to bring Jongho snacks to take breaks or to walk him home.
He heads down the street towards the gym so far she chose places that were really close to their shared apartment.  The walk takes only five minutes until he’s pulling the handle to enter the gym.
Again, a person approaches him with an apple and a note, but this time there’s also a small bag.  “You guys are such a cute couple!  She told me about the scavenger hunt so I grabbed a small bag to hold the apples in,” the worker hands him the items and waves him off, “good luck!”
Jongho starts walking out of the gym already, excited to be at the next location.  Slipping the apples into the bag, he begins to read the note.
You’re so a-peel-ing but I’m running low on ideas so here's the final address.
A frown falls across his face; this place was not in walking distance. Jongho has to get a taxi to get here, and the ride would end up being around thirty minutes.
He flips the note over hoping to get more information - he does.  On the back of the note is a phone number.  It’s not a number he recognizes so he gets a little bit more confused.
Jongho finishes his drink and pulls out his phone to dial the unknown number.  The phone hardly rings once before the other end picks up, “hello, is this Jongho?  You’re done at the gym already, I’ll be there in two minutes.”
After finishing the sentences, the phone is hung up.  He’s even more lost now, the voice wasn’t even familiar.  Jongho finds a bench right outside of the gym to sit down while he waits for whatever is supposed to arrive.
Within minutes of him sitting down, a small white car pulls up right in front of him.  An unfamiliar man steps out of the car and hands him an apple with one of today’s notes.
I couldn’t have “picked” a better person to bring you to me!  This is my cousin, Dongyul, so don’t be too alarmed.
Jongho stands up to shake his hand, “nice to meet you, could you tell me where we’re going now?”  Dongyul shakes his head no as he turns to open the door for Jongho to get into the car.  When he gets in, he notices the backseat is filled with baskets filled with apples.
His hand flies up to smack his forehead, “she’s very prominent with the apples today, isn’t she?”  Dongyun, trying to remain quiet, starts to laugh, “yeah, but she’s very excited about it, and it’s pretty damn funny.”
The two talk about Y/N on the way to the mystery location, sharing stories of their times with her and her stupidity - though she is very lovely.
Jongho begins to notice the type of trees that they are driving past.
Apple trees.
“She is damn dedicated to this theme,”  Jongho begins to laugh once more, “I hate her so much.”  He rolls his eyes as the car comes to a stop in a circle of the trees.
As soon as he steps out of the car, Dongyun reaches over to shut the door and drive away.  Jongho stares in disbelief as he is stranded in the middle of nowhere.
He looks around and sees a singular apple on the ground a little further down the path.  Heading towards this apple, he sees that there is, once again, a note with it.
Head straight.
Excited that he will finally be able to see his girlfriend, Jongho runs straight up the path where Y/N is there waiting for him.
He’s running to tackle her into a hug as soon as his eyes fall onto her.  Jongho picks her up, spins her, and pushes a kiss onto her lips.  “I missed you today.  I just wanted to be able too kiss you all day,” he continues to kiss her while peppering kisses around the rest of her face.
“I missed you too, Jjong.  Do you have any idea of what this scavenger hunt was about?”
Her boyfriend stares at her blankly, “is it not just for Valentine’s Day?”
Y/N waits for Jongho to place her back down on the ground, then she pulls out an all too familiar jewelry box to hand to him, “could you be any more discreet?  You left it on the kitchen counter for days.”
Jongho’s eyes begin to water, “I’m an idiot aren’t I.”
“I’ll only call you an idiot if you don’t show me what’s in the box.”
“Princess, I can’t believe you ended up planning your own proposal.  I literally forgot that I bought it already,”  Jongho takes the box from Y/N.
He steps backs from her to put his left knee on the ground, kneeling in front of her.
Jongho takes a hold of her left hand and opens the box, “I know this didn’t turn out to be a surprise and you already saw the ring, but this doesn’t change the fact that I really want to be your husband.  We’re both still pretty young, but will you marry me?”
“Apple-solutely.”
“Nevermind then,” Jongho begins to stand up, turning to walk away when Y/N grabs his wrist and takes the box from his hand.  She takes out the ring getting ready to slip it on.
Jongho takes the ring from her grasp, delicately holds her hand, and slips the ring onto her left hand.
“I love you, my fiancé, even though you made your own apple themed proposal,”  he pulls her left hand against his chest and uses his other hand to hold her jaw, bringing her in for a kiss.

Title. Burnt Out, Part Two
Pairing. Suna Rintaro x Fem!Reader
Summary. In which he’s intoxicated and opens up about things he never got the chance to. Part two of Burnt Out, Suna Rintaro’s point of view.
Warnings. Excessive intake of alcohol, cursing, and manga spoilers.
Suna Rintaro started dating his long-term girlfriend L/N Y/N in highschool. She was the type who kept to herself and had a small, yet golden, circle of friends. She got along well with his volleyball team because she had a great personality, and she went along with teasing their friend Miya Atsumu.
He met her when he was in preschool and he made her cry because he accidentally took her chuupet. His mom made him apologize and they bonded over a whole pack his mom bought for them to share. A few years later, he realized he liked her in his last year of middle school, when he got upset over losing his last competition with the team and she was there to cheer him up with a pack of chuupet.
He admits he’s not one for romantic gestures, but his feelings for her were always sincere. Growing up, Suna lacked the energy nor the personality to make much friends, so he was always relieved knowing she was there. They grew up together, and that’s something Suna would never replace. He associates his childhood with her and their love for chuupets.
Throughout their relationship he tried his best to show he appreciated her. Though what he liked best about her was that he didn’t need to try. He always assumed she knew and she understood his actions. After joining a pro team he got a bit busier, but he assumed she would understand.
“Quit assuming Y/N-chan’s gonna stick around for your shit. Sure, she’s always been the best of us for understanding your...detachment to everyone else, but she ain’t a saint. Get ‘yer shit together or she might just finally up and leave.” Atsumu once told him, but Suna tries not to dwell in anything the piss haired dumbass tells him. But what he said was true.
Which is why Suna decided to gamble. He told his teammates and the twins that if he won the next three consecutive games and the team placed top three in the league, he’d finally propose. Osamu told him not to gamble with life, his teammates told him not to blame them if they lose, and Atsumu rejoiced and called him brilliant. Suna’s not sure how he feels about their response, but he’s willing to risk it. Because it’s for her.
After the third win Suna went with his team to celebrate, mostly because he was in a good mood and because he was nervous yet excited at the same time. But then she called.
What if she found the ring he loosely hid in his sock drawer? What if she thinks it’s for someone else? Oh god, what if she thinks he’s cheating on her? What if-
“Actually-” “By the way-”
He lets her go first because he cares like that. But suddenly he wishes he didn’t.
“I don’t think we’re in love anymore.” Oh. With that one sentence all the pride and joy brimming up his body is flushed down by sorrow and dread. Color drains from his face and he feels like he’d stopped breathing. Suddenly all those “what-ifs” didn’t sound so bad anymore.
“I’ll pack my bags while you’re at work tomorrow.” Suna ends the call there because he’s scared she might hear his life crashing down through the phone. Still a bit shocked, Suna lets his body slide down the dingy alleyway. No tears fall because he’s not an emotional person like that, but the turmoil in his head makes him itch for a distraction.
He hears the loud cheers of his teammates inside the bar and finds the perfect solution.
-
“Rintaro-kun, get ahold of yourself!” Komori Motoya whisper-yells at his intoxicated teammate. Said intoxicated teammate is currently stumbling over his own two feet as he tries to walk in a straight line with one arm slung over Komori’s shoulders.
Komori mumbles a few strings of curses as he drags the man to the elevator. “Why did you even drink this much?” He asks no one in particular, mainly because the man in question was too busy laughing at his own reflection in the elevator mirror.
Komori remembers that MSBY has an away game, which probably means they’re all together in a hotel or probably running late with practice, and decides to call Sakusa for help. Much needed help, as he hears another groan from Suna. If he pukes - no, he won’t even think about it. Shaking his head, Komori pulls out his phone and dials a number. It rings four times, before his cousin’s cranky voice mumbles out, “Hello?”
“Sakusa! Is Miya still around?” Komori urgently grunts out, simultaneously hoisting up his teammate who’s currently being dragged down by gravity and alcohol. “What could you possibly need from that moron?” He can imagine the scowl on his cousin’s face, but he decides to focus on more important matters.
Like the idiot now hanging loosely on his shoulders. Suna’s a bit taller, so Komori has to drag his feet through the floor with one arm and keep his phone pressed to his ear with one hand. “Tell him it’s about Rintaro-kun.” There’s rustling and the sound of the phone being handed off to someone else, and then Atsumu’s croaking out a, “What-,” obvious that he was awoken from his sleep.
Komori’s not in the right state of mind to feel any remorse, so he gets to the point. “Miya, do you know Rintaro-kun’s girlfriend’s number?”
“Why?” Atsumu grumbles, still half asleep. The sound of a boisterous laughter through the phone snaps him awake, though, as he recognizes the familiar sound. “Holy shit!” He shoots up, sheets strewn on the floor. Sakusa looks like he’s about to commit a crime.
“Komori, listen - whatever he does, make sure you get it on camera!” (Komori hears Sakusa mumble, “You’re a shitty person,” and Atsumu bark back with a, “Shut ‘yer trap, Omi-kun!”) Choosing to ignore his idiocy, Komori urges on, “Do you know her number or not?”
“I mean yeah, but if ‘Taro’s that drunk then I’m pretty there’s problems with Y/N-chan.” Komori feels a vein pop, both because Suna’s weight is really starting to push down on his shoulders, and because Atsumu’s proving himself to be pretty useless in this situation.
“I don’t care anymore! Can you just text me her number so I can drop this idiot off?” Komori huffs. Atsumu hums and hangs up, seconds later texting him Y/N’s number. He hands Sakusa (who’s now unsurprisingly wearing gloves) back his phone and plops back down to his comfy hotel room bed, remembering to check on his friend the next morning.
-
Komori finally makes it to the address sent to him by Suna’s girlfriend after about thirty minutes of dragging the said man through crowds and avoiding the judgemental looks from people passing by.
He wastes no time in pressing the doorbell before he’s met face to face with the girlfriend-in-question. Her eyes are red and puffy, and she looks about as bad as Suna does, though a lot more sober. Miya was right. He thinks to himself. Relationship problems, huh?
“Ah, thank you for bringing him home safely, Komori-san!” She bows. Her voice is strangled and hoarsed, but the politeness is still there. “I’m so sorry for bothering you, I can take him from here.” Y/N holds out her arms, and perhaps because of how heartbroken she looks, Komori gently shakes his head.
“I can set him down on the couch. He’s not exactly lightweight, you see.” She simply nods, not having enough energy to go back and forth over the matter. “Thank you so much.” She says with another bow. Once Suna’s bodyweight is off his shoulders and he can feel his full body again, Komori waves his hand to show that it was no big deal.
He silently hopes he’s not overstepping, before mumbling on his way out, “I hope you two work it out.” She responds with a weak smile and another bow before locking the door behind him.
Finally alone again, Y/N steps towards her now-ex boyfriend, and decides to help him feel more comfortable by removing his shoes. Suna complies by grumbling something that can’t be understood, so Y/N continues with cleaning him up.
“Sit up real quick, ‘Taro.” She whispers. Suna obeys and sits up with his eyes still closed. His movement releases a whiff of beer and his usual cologne. Y/N has to hold her breath because of the pungent scent, but she continues to care for him with gentle hands.
Suna opens his eyes and though everything is still blurry, he could easily recognize her anywhere. He grabs hold of one of wrist that was busy yanking off his coat from his body and pulls her closer to him. She slightly falls down on where he’s seated on the couch, but she catches herself before she could completely crash down on him.
“Hi.” Suna mumbles into her neck.
“Hey. Let’s get you into some more comfortable clothes, ‘Taro.” Y/N tries to pry herself off him, but his hold on her tightens and now she finds herself engulfed into his chest with two strong arms wrapping around her frame. “Don’t wanna. Just wanna stay here.”
“Okay.” Y/N decides there’s point arguing with an intoxicated man and allows herself to melt into his hold.
But then she remembers their conversation from earlier, and her cruel decision of breaking it off without an explanation. Guilt overwhelms her and soon she attempts to pry herself off again, and this time she’s successful. Suna whines.
“Come back.” His voice is an unfamiliar pitch higher and he’s making grabby motions at her with his arms. “Try to sober up a little first, okay?” Y/N calms him down before heading into the kitchen to grab a glass of water.
It only took ten seconds for Suna to follow suit, albeit still drunk and wobbly, but he is able to hold himself up until he grabs hold of her from behind, her warmth heating up his frozen body once again. “Don’t leave me.” Y/N’s not sure if he means now, or in general. Does he even remember their phone call?
Nontheless, he isn’t in his right mind, and Y/N doesn’t want to say anything that might cause him to react wildly. “Okay, let’s sit down though, yeah?” Suna nods, and his hair tickles the back of her neck. They awkwardly shuffle through the kitchen back to the couch, where Suna continues to snuggle into her chest. Y/N finds herself combing her hand through his tangled hair, somehow finding comfort in this rare display of affection.
They stay like that for a couple minutes, Y/N sitting awkwardly down on the couch and Suna’s overgrown body slumped over hers as he clings onto her waist for dear life. Y/N decides not to beat around the bush and tries to clear the elephant in the room.
“Did this happen because of what I said?” It’s a stupid question, and Y/N knows the answer to it, but she doesn’t know why she needs to hear it coming from him. Suna only nods, not once breaking away from his hold on her.
“Do you want to talk about it now?” Y/N offers. Maybe, if he’s being this uncharacteristically clingy right now, then he’d be more comfortable with opening up.
“Don’t leave me.” Suna mumbles again, this time Y/N can feel the desperation in his voice.
“I won’t. Not right now, at least. But we need to talk about it.” Y/N’s hand is still combing through his dark locks, and for a second she thinks he fell asleep because of it, but he speaks up again.
“If I ignore it will you take back what you said?” Suna tries to bargain. Y/N lets herself laugh, though it comes out choked because of how dry her throat was from crying. The sound however, makes Suna lift his head up from its place on her chest, his chin resting just above her breasts as he stares straight into her eyes.
“I’m being serious right now.” Everything about him is delirious, but his eyes scream that she should listen to what he’s about to say.
“I don’t know what changed, but I’m sorry if it’s because of something I did.” Y/N can easily tell that he’s just starting to sober up, but not enough for him to totally pull away or stop talking yet. “It was because of something Atsumu said,” She finds herself confessing. Perhaps she hasn’t totally sobered up from the bottle of wine she finished a few hours ago.
“That bastard.”
“- back in highschool.” Suna shows no remose towards what he said. Highschool school or now, Atsumu is still Atsumu, and he said what he said.
“When you guys fought over who’s fault it was when you lost a game, he told me I was dating a rock.” Suna tilts his head in confusion (and Y/N tries not to make it too obvious that she’s getting ticklish every time he moves). “A rock?” He grumbles with a scowl on his face. (He totally looks like an angry puppy right now, but Y/N decides that this isn’t the right time to gush over it).
“And then I got a wedding invitation from Mika and Daishou-kun. I drank a little too much too, so my thoughts just spiraled down negatively.” Y/N sighs as she relives the emotional turmoil she went through that evening. “I let my emotions and something Atsumu said years ago get the best of me, and I really hurt you. I’m sorry, ‘Taro.” Y/N doesn’t notice the tears streaming down her face as she cups his face in her hands. Suna leans into her touch and hums.
“I think I can understand what Atsumu said, though.” Suna mumbles out. He gets up from his comfortable spot, and Y/N feels herself missing his warmth right away.
And then he heads into the bedroom, much more sober now, and Y/N stares at him him out of curiosity. He comes back out within seconds with something in his hand and sets it down on the coffee table as he sits back down next to her. Y/N gasps.
“I told myself that I was gonna do this after winning three consecutive games. I think I was gonna do it even if we didn’t, though.” Y/N switches her gaze between her lover and the velvet box that contained a ring.
The ring itself was simple, yet elegant. There’s a single big diamond sitting in the middle of a silver band, and its beauty makes up for its simplicity. The ring is true to Suna’s character, though she suspects some of his friends had a say in picking the ring (there’s no way Suna would have been able to decide on it himself).
“This wasn’t how I planned for it to go down, but I feel like if I don’t do it now, I might not get another chance.” There’s a certain sincerity in his eyes and desperation in his voice that makes Y/N’s heart ache, both out of happiness and guilt for what she did earlier that night.
“I know I’m not gonna be the best husband - hell, I wasn’t even close to being the best boyfriend - but what I do know for sure is that there’s no one else I’d want to be with other than you.” Suna grabs the box from the table and gets down on one knee in front of the couch, where she’s still seated with tears streaming down her face.
“I promise I’ll try my best to open up more. I won’t let you get bothered by something that idiot said in highschool again, and I’ll make sure you’ll never have to question my love again.” Suna finishes with a smile, “So, Y/N, will you marry me?”
Y/N doesn’t trust her voice so she chooses to nod vigorously instead, launching herself into his welcoming arms. He falls back from the impact but his hold on her is still tight. Everything is in place again, and the figurative fire between them sparks again. If they tried hard enough, even a burnt out match can still be relit.
“Wanna mess around and pretend we broke up because of what Atsumu said?”
A/N. Also another re-uplod. Thank you for reading! You can tell I was pushing my ‘komori is team mom’ agenda bc I love my boy. Anyways, sorry if the ending got a bit cheesy but I don’t really know how to write it without making it cheesy - chuu

Breaking Us Both ~ Kuroo Tetsuro x OC
CHAPTER ONE: Leaving Me Hangin'
PLOT:
"Yeah, I couldn't get my eyes off her back then..." and my heart till now. He almost blurted out the last part and sighed.
It's been six years and yet the memories were so fresh like it was yesterday when he first laid eyes on her peculiar dark auburn locks and her steely gray eyes. The way she regarded him with distrust and annoyance... and curiosity. She should have just run instead of facing him head-on. Maybe they could have saved themselves a heartbreak. --- I DO NOT OWN THE ARTS IN MY COVER. ALL CREDITS BELONG TO THEIR RIGHTFUL OWNERS.
Y E A R : 2018
The bar was filled with cheers and laughter as the music reverberated in every corner. It was a Friday night, a night where workers filled their glasses and rejoice for the upcoming weekend after a long day of work, or where couples have their date, or where people reward themselves for their success, or simply just where acquaintances meet up after a long time of not seeing each other. Either way, it was a night to be remembered by most and the others long after a stressful week.
Kuroo on the other hand was on his way to the said bar for one reason only: to meet old acquaintances.
As he trudged his way inside, the music was already deafening. A lady wearing a sexy black waitress uniform came up to him once he made his way inside. Despite the on and off disco lights, he could clearly see the way her eyes raked his body like a predator to its prey which clearly made him uneasy. If he was his past self, he would have enjoyed every single moment of it. Alas, he was a changed man; more professional and more mature.
"What can I help you, sir?" she asked, or rather purred seductively at him.
Kuroo combed his bed-hair with his fingers and flashed her an uneasy smile. "I'm meeting with somebody who already has a reservation here. The name is Bokuto Koutaro."
The lady's eyes lighted up at the mentioned name. "Right this way," she said and gently grabbed hold of his biceps to guide him towards a booth on the other side of the bar where few people were sitting.
Kuroo could only sighed and let the lady do what she wants. He didn't want to embarass her in public since some eyes were on to them already.
Once they reached the last booth, she knocked twice before opening the door wide.
"One of your acquaintances is here," she announced.
"Thanks," Kuroo said and the waitress winked at him making him chuckle. Once he made his way inside, shouts of greetings welcomed him.
"Kuroo!" a man with spiky, white hair and black streaks boomed once the door closed and barraged him with a tight hug. It was none other than Bokuto Kotaro; a volleyball player for the Black Jackals who just won last week against the Adlers. It was an epic battle that moved everybody in the arena and everybody that they were acquainted with during their volleyball years came to watch.
Kuroo grinned before returning his hug.
"You're late!" he teased and punched him lightly on the shoulder.
"Yeah, sorry. Got stuck with something in the office," he apologized as his eyes scanned the small crowd inside the booth.
Akaashi Keiji, Tsukishima Kei, Daichi Sawamura, Sugawara Koshi, Iwaizumi Hajime, Kageyama Tobio, and of course Hinata Shoyo were huddled up in a round table already eating their fill. Unfortunately, Ushijima Wakatoshi, Kozume Kenma, Miya Atsumu, and Sakusa Kiyoomi did not make it for personal reasons.
"Well, well, isn't great to see you lot, again," he greeted with a sneer as he put a hand on his hip regarding each one with his hazel orbs.
"I couldn't say the same thing to you, though," a man with brown hair joked making the others in the room chuckle.
"Oy, Daichi, that's rude, man. You know you missed me," he joked back as he sat between Bokuto and Akaashi and in front of Daichi who offered him a drink which he gladly accepted.
"We all did!" Bokuto joined with rambunctious tone. "You barely hang out with us."
Kuroo rolled his eyes at him as he took a sip from his scotch. "I've been busy with work. We're launching Shrimpy's promotional video with Kodzuken in a few weeks," he explained, his hazel eyes landing on Hinata who gave him a thumbs up.
Despite his age is 22, he still looked like a kid that seeing him holding a glass of alcohol makes Kuroo want to snatch it away.
"Besides, haven't we just celebrated last week after your victory?" He added with a brow raised at Bokuto.
"It's a different story tonight," Akaashi commented before he put the grilled pork in his mouth. "Bokuto-san has an announcement to make."
Bokuto blushed a deep shade of red whether it was from the alcohol or from Akaashi's statement, Kuroo's attention piqued.
"AGAAASHI!!" Bokuto whined and crossed his arms on his chest. "Don't bring it up this early!"
"Oya? What is it?" he asked, turning his attention to his best bro who was suddenly fiddling with his fingers as if he was shy to tell the others his announcement. "Don't tell me you're going all shy all of the sudden? Are you finally realizing your hidden desires for me?"
"Shut up, Kuroo!" he snapped before he cleared his throat. He took a deep breath before a wide grin spread across his face. "She said 'Yes'."
A deafening silence surrounded the group once the news broke. Only the sound of the muffled music from the outside can be heard. An amused smile formed on Akaashi's face as the once loud group became mute.
A few more seconds had passed and when the news had sunk in, a loud gasp and cheers erupted.
"What the hell?!" Iwaizumi exclaimed and clasped hands with his trainee; a wide grin on his face. "Congratulations, man! That was unexpected!"
"Oho, oho, I’m surprised she accepted the proposal," sneered Tsukishima as he put a hand over his lips.
"Tsukki!" Bokuto growled and punched the giant lightly on the shoulder. "At least I have the guts to ask my girlfriend, unlike some other guy I know!" That shut Tsukishima up, Kuroo grinned. Bokuto's getting witty with his comebacks lately. Must be the influence of the soon-to-be-missus.
"You're really okay with this, Akaashi?!" Kuroo countered as he slammed his drinks on the table. "You're letting him marry your cousin?!"
"I already warned Addie-chan with what she's got herself into," Akaashi joked lightly and patted Bokuto's back over Kuroo's shoulders; his eyes turning serious despite the small smile on his face. "Besides, if Bokuto-san ever hurt or as much as make her tear up, he knows the shovel is all set--”
Bokuto gulped and backed away slowly from the threatening gaze his best friend was giving off.
"—is what I would say normally as the older cousin of your soon-to-be bride, had I not known you, Bokuto-san."
Kuroo sweat-dropped as the others laughed at Bokuto's uneasy expression. 'Well, that kept Bokuto in line,' he thought as he took a sip from his drinks. Nevertheless, he was thrilled for his best friend's future.
"So, when's the wedding?" Iwaizumi piped in. "Hopefully, I could get Trashykawa to attend it, too."
Kuroo's smile faltered slightly at the mention of the former Aoba Josaih captain.
"Oh yeah, where's Oikawa-san, by the way?" Sugawara asked looking over at Iwaizumi, who was Oikawa's best friend.
"He just arrived in the U.S. yesterday to meet with someone," Iwaizumi answered and tipped his drinks in one go but his eyes landed on Kuroo when he mentioned the 'someone' part. "He's set to arrive next week for a vacation."
Kuroo pursed his lips at the face Iwaizumi was sending him his way. His heart skipped a beat slightly when a certain someone entered his thoughts.
"Oh! I met Oikawa-san when I was studying in Brazil once!" Hinata beamed; his face a little red from alcohol. "I think that was two years ago?"
"Pipe down, boke!" Kageyama growled; his face the same shade as Hinata's due to alcohol.
"I think you two had enough already," Sugawara warned and grabbed both of their drinks much to their dismay.
"As I was saying!" Hinata continued and poked Kageyama's head for him to listen. "You'll like this one since I also saw Machi-senpai, your first crush, with Oikawa-san in Brazil!"
Kuroo's stopped mid-drink at the mention of the name he longed and at the same time never wanted to hear. A familiar twinge of pain resurfaced in his chest that he almost dropped his glass had he not recovered quickly and tipped the glass to downed it in one go. The bitter taste of alcohol didn't help with the situations as he cringed slightly.
The others, except Kageyama and Hinata, paused their conversation and glanced warily at him for his reaction but as quick as the pain resurfaced, the quicker he masked it off his face.
"M-Machi-senpai?" Kageyama stuttered and blushed a deeper shade of red this time; after all these years, he still had this little crush with his senpai that he couldn't get rid of. "H-How is she and w-why didn't you send a picture of her? You only send yours and Oikawa-san's selfie like what am I supposed to do with that, boke?!"
"Oh yeah!" Hinata exclaimed and rubbed the back of his head before grinning sheepishly at his best friend. "I totally forgot about that. She arrived on the third day of our beach volleyball match. She just passed by to pay Oikawa-san a visit and she wasn't expecting to see me there. She said she was doing volunteer work in Brazil for a week." Hinata's eyes sparkled and he had the same dreamy look in his eyes as Kageyama.
"Machi-senpai is doing volunteer work?" Kageyama closed his eyes tight and clenched his fist on his chest. "I've always known her to have a big heart! HOW LUCKY OF YOU BOKE?!!!"
"Well, that's Machi. She probably got it from her mother who was a philanthropist before she died," Iwaizumi noted and smiling softly at the memory of his childhood friend. "She have a soft heart for orphans."
Kageyama and Hinata sighed dreamily as if they were on cloud nine. "Do you still get in touch with her, Iwaizumi-san?" the Adlers' setter asked to his former upperclassman.
Iwaizumi shrugged his shoulders. "She'd call sometimes to say hi," he answered and pursed his lips as if what he said was enough information, Kuroo noted. That kind of topic always made Iwaizumi looked reserved about it especially when the rooster-haired captain was around.
Kuroo's grip on his glass tightened as he stared hard at it. It confused him and frustrated him greatly to the point that he wanted to punch the answers out of Iwaizumi. But even he couldn't form a question properly. He didn't even know where to start. Hell! Why was he even feeling like this?
"She looked more divine than she ever was in high school. AGHHH! I should have asked her to join us in playing beach volleyball! I wonder how strong she is, right now?" Hinata pondered before he was elbowed by Sugawara. "Sugawara-san, nani?" he asked but stopped when he saw him pointing at Kuroo who staring hard at his glass. "O-Oh. Oops."
"She quitted," Kuroo snapped; his eyes cold as he stared at his clenched fist on his glass.
For the second time of that night, the deafening silence filled the group once again.
 --
"Hey, you okay?" Bokuto asked once they were alone, walking down the streets of Tokyo in the dead of the night.
Akaashi and the others already bid them goodbye and went their separate ways. After Kuroo snapped, he apologized quickly to Hinata to which the latter completely waved off. Had it not been for Bokuto, the dinner would have turned into an awkward mess.
Kuroo sighed deeply before his fingers combed his hair. "Yeah," he answered as he put his hands inside his jeans pocket. "I was caught off-guard but I'm fine. Sorry back there."
"Nah, I don't mind. You weren't expecting to hear about Machi-chan, were you? It's been six years after all," Bokuto gushed as he blew his cold hands.
"Six years since she shut me out without explanation; left me in the air hanging," Kuroo lamented as he looked up at the dark sky. "You know that. I even tried to find her in the US when Oikawa refused to tell me her whereabouts."
Bokuto patted Kuroo at the back in sympathy. "Oikawa is very protective of Machi-chan, you know that since she's like a sister to him. He's even protective than Iwaizumi."
"Yet as a friend he could have told me what was wrong or what did I do wrong, right?" Kuroo growled and kicked a can on his way.
"You'll have your chance to ask him why he didn't tell you next week. Oikawa will be attending Iwaizumi's birthday for sure," Bokuto cheered and gave him a hard slap on the back.
Silence descended upon the two as they walked side by side before Bokuto suddenly chuckled. Kuroo glanced at him and raised a brow as if he was going mental.
"I just remembered that time when Machi-chan overheard us at the first away games," Bokuto reminisced earning a small grin from Kuroo over the memory.
"Yeah, I couldn't get my eyes off her back then..." and my heart till now. He almost blurted out the last part before he sighed and rubbed his face. What was wrong with him all of the sudden? It's been six years already!
Bokuto, noticing his best friend's struggle on his face, wondered how he'll cope up if ever Addie left him hanging too without explanation. He'd go insane, for sure. It's a wonder that Kuroo stayed strong through all these years.

This is going to be VERY long!
I'm creating this mainly so that I myself, as well as everyone else, remember which OCs of mine are canon. I'm also going to re-explain who said OCs are, just as a refresher. Oh yeah, and I'm also going to mention certain events that pertain to this AU in particular. Keep in mind that as of right now, I have yet to give this AU a proper name. There is another reason I am making this: I simply keep changing what is canon and what is not. I am ALSO creating this because I have yet to post all of my OCs and I kind of want to explain who they are before putting them on here.
My only OCs that are canon are Raven, Stormy, Aisleen, Natalie, Subject 21, Markus, Princess Beatrix, Empress Roberta, Violet, Ashley Norm, Brandon, Ashley Thomas, Lyra, and Princess Lily.
Raven is the older sister of Violet. She was overprotective of her, which eventually drove Violet mad, so she ran away. Even though Raven later discovered that Violet had even moved to a distant planet in the 1st Dimension to get away from it all, she didn't seem to worry too much about her safety.
Stormy is the cousin of Raven and Violet. There isn't much to say about her, other than she is a tomboy. That's...all there pretty much is to her.
Aisleen met Cortex, N. Gin, N. Brio, and N. Tropy during high school while she was pretending to be an exchange student from Scotland. N. Tropy was pretty much a jerk to the other three boys until Aisleen made him eventually see the error of his ways, and the four became fast friends. It wasn't long after that that Aisleen revealed her true identity to her new friends. In actuality, she is from the 10th Dimension and is one of the Masters of Darkness. Strange occurrences were seen at the Academy of Evil for the next few months until it was revealed who the culprit was: Lyra, who revealed herself to be from the same dimension as Aisleen; she also happens to be a MoD. After a grueling battle, it was Lyra who was defeated and she was thus sent back to her own dimension. It was after that that Aisleen revealed why she went to the 1st Dimension: to find her twin sister, who had been missing for years. She fled the academy after that, as she knew that her sister was nowhere to be found in that area. As the years went by, Cortex formed a team known simply as Team Cortex and had a castle built for him, which was dubbed Cortex Castle. He then had several animals mutated, but shortly after, a "newcomer" who was dressed in a black hood showed up to the island in an attempt to destroy Cortex and his fellow villains. Needless to say, the newcomer was defeated. She took her hood off, revealing herself to be none other than Aisleen, much to the shock of Cortex and his school friends. With Uka Uka's permission, Aisleen was allowed on the team and has been fighting by their side ever since. As time passed, Aisleen and N. Tropy began falling in love with each other and they eventually began to date. They got married only a year after, and they had a child about ten months after. Their child happens to be Natalie Time Tropy. And no, N. Tropy did not come up with her middle name. It was Aisleen that did, actually. Aisleen and her missing sister did not get to see each other again until about eighteen years after Natalie was born.
Natalie is the daughter of Aisleen and N. Tropy, meaning she is a mix between a human and a cat. She is Nina's best friend, although the two have nothing in common. Even for a villain, Natalie seems a bit too kind. Still, she aids her villains as best she can, mainly when her father is involved. There was a time, though, that she betrayed Cortex and the others and joined Team Crash. When her father became much of a nuisance for the heroes, however, she and N. Brio (who had temporarily joined the side of good as well) were forced to rejoin Team Cortex. Ever since then, Natalie has been acting a bit more...sinister than usual, but not by much. She usually only harms others when N. Tropy orders her to, but that rarely ever happens.
Subject 21 is personally my favourite of the OCs that I have created. She is a demon known as a Nightmarw from a world known as Nightfall. The only portal that leads to her world is in a book, which there is only one copy of. Let me try to shorten her backstory as best I can. At the age of five, her parents died and she began blaming herself for such a tragedy, so she was sent to an asylum for being so-called "insane." What really made her insane, though, were the experiments she was eventually put through in the asylum. After a while, her psychiatrist simply got tired of her, so he killed her. I'm not sure if anyone was wondering, but if you were, 21 died from body disembowelment and dismemberment. Oh yeah, I almost forgot--she was given the name "Subject 21" due to the fact that she was the twenty-first child to be experimented on in the asylum. Oh yeah, and she was killed at the age of 18. Just thought I'd mention that. One more thing: she only became a demon because someone attempted to resurrect her. When you try to resurrect somebody who was already insane to begin with, it tends to have its consequences. Currently, no one in the world, not even herself, knows her true name.
There isn't really much to say about Markus. He is Natalie's boyfriend. The two met, of course, sometime during school. They have currently been dating for two years now. Markus secretly wants to propose to Natalie in the future.
Princess Beatrix is the daughter of Emperor Velo and Empress Roberta. She once explained to the earthlings that her father was once a robot, but someone experimented on him (against his will, of course) and made his tall and obese form be able to function as an actual being, meaning he can have children and such. Anyway, although Beatrix is a princess, she doesn't wish to be. Throughout her childhood, she would often act like a tomboy and was rather violent. Although not a tomboy any longer, she still has a sadistic side. Beatrix happens to be the niece of Nitros Oxide, who I made Emperor Velo's brother in all of my AUs. Beatrix happens to be related to an earthling: Natalie Tropy. The two are cousins, being as Beatrix's mother is Aisleen's sister.
Empress Roberta is, of course, the husband of Emperor Velo XXVII. Before they got married, Roberta was nothing more than a servant under the employ of Emperor Velo. She was his most loyal subject, at that. He soon found himself infatuated with her, and he was actually quite disgusted with himself for having those feelings, being as he normally shows no emotion rather than anger. After Roberta made one little mishap, she was brutally punished by Velo. It was only a couple weeks later that she discovered she was pregnant with his child. It was after that that Velo decided to confess his feelings for Roberta, and the two got married that same day. After their child was born, they named it Beatrix. Soon after, Roberta mysteriously disappeared. It wasn't until Beatrix was 19 that Roberta was found on Earth, pretending that she had lost her memories. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention one thing: Roberta and Velo actually had twins, Princesses Beatrix and Lily. Lily is the last OC I will talk about on here.
Violet is Big Norm's girlfriend. The two were best friends throughout their childhood. Even after the two did not see each other for years, they remained the best of friends. Sometime after Violet moved to Kobold, the planet on which Emperor Velo is ruler (yes, I decided to give that planet a name), she revealed to everyone that she is from the 10th Dimension and is a Master of Darkness, but she also promised to do more good than harm to the planet. Strange occurrences were soon seen on Kobold, and the culprit was later discovered to be Lyra. Brandon, Violet's ex-boyfriend, was also in on what was going on. The two tried to destroy Violet but ultimately failed, and they were sent back to the 10th Dimension, where they are from as well. After that, Big Norm confessed his true feelings toward Violet and the two began to date. They have currently been together for twenty years, although they have yet to get married.
Ashley Norm is the daughter of Big Norm and Violet. She is an eighteen-year-old tomboy who plays video games for a living. She keeps claiming she is Beatrix's best friend, but the princess doesn't acknowledge her presence half of the time. Ashley Norm's greatest rival is Natalie, although it has never been explained why.
Brandon is Violet's abusive ex. That is exactly why she broke up with him: he was rather abusive to her in the past. He was so angry about it that he even attempted to destroy Violet, with the help of Lyra. The two were, of course, defeated and were sent back to their own dimension: the 10th Dimension.
Ashley Thomas and Subject 21 became immediate friends when they met each other in the asylum. Back then, Ashley T. was known as Subject 53, but she discovered her true name when a stranger helped her escape the asylum (this was after 21's death, of course). After Ashley T. and her former mentor attempted to resurrect 21--well, let's just say it backfired and 21 turned into a demon instead, causing turmoil around London. It was then that 21 became enemies with her former friend, simply because Ashley T. is a human. Sometime after 21 became part of a prophecy and was forced to aid Crash and his friends, and even foes, save the world from destruction, she suddenly began to remember who Ashley T. was and the two became friends once again. After that, 21 joined Team Cortex and has been getting along with mortals a little better.
Lyra is the rival of both Aisleen and Violet in particular. She attempted to destroy Aisleen on Earth but failed. Sometime later, she managed to escape the 10th Dimension again and tried to destroy Violet instead, on Kobold. Again, she failed and was banished to the 10th Dimension for her transgressions.
Princess Lily is the twin sister of Princess Beatrix. The two are sworn enemies, needless to say. You see, when it was declared that Beatrix was to become the heir to the throne, Lily was downright furious and attempted to murder her entire family. She, of course, failed and was banished to the 10th Dimension. For some reason, though, she keeps managing to escape. Why this is, not even Emperor Velo knows. Every time she makes an appearance, she attempts to destroy both her family (particularly Beatrix) and the earthlings.

Other than The Moment of Truth—which is a romance book in a series I didn’t have yet—the rest of the book order I’m placing this week are all by black or POC authors.
The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo is about a teenage girl who discovers slam poetry and is told in verse. I own and read her other two books, I just haven’t read her debut novel yet.
On The Come Up and The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas are books I’ve read before, but I don’t own them. I really want to add them to my collection though because I enjoyed them so much. Especially THUG because it’s such a powerful book about police brutality and what the black community really goes through.
Opposite Of Always by Justin A. Reynolds is a romance/contemporary. I’m not exactly sure of the premise, but this guy meets the love of his life then loses her when she dies suddenly, but he keeps reliving the first time he meets her over and over again? Something on that order.
The Vanishing Half and The Mothers by Brit Bennett are two books that have caught my eye and sound really good. I’m not entirely sure of what they’re about other than it deals with typical stereotypes against black people and racisim and they sound like they’re going to be really powerful books.
Learning To Breathe by Janice Lynn Mather is a contemporary about a young, black teenaged girl with a strict aunt. She’s never done anything to disobey her aunt, but when she gets pregnant and finds herself homeless, she ends up at this yoga retreat, hoping to find a home there and she finds so much more, including friends, support and love all around.
Color Me In by Natasha Díaz is about a girl who goes to live with her mother in her childhood home after her parents divorce. Being a biracial child—her father white and Jewish and her mother black—she struggles with finding her identity, especially when cousins on her mother’s side of the family claim she has no idea what it’s like to experience their pain and problems because she’s too white.
I’m Not Dying With You Tonight by Gilly Segal is another book I’m not quite sure what it’s about other than I know it involves two strangers—one white and one black—that meet in the face of racial inequalities and a race riot that turns their town upside down. It sounds like a great book that has important messages and also even a possible friendship in it.
Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams is another book I’ve been wanting to read for a while. It’s about a Jamaican woman living in London learning how to find herself after a breakup with a long time white boyfriend (I think I remembered that correctly).
A Taste Of Sage by Yaffa S. Santos isn’t actually a black author, but she is a POC author and this adult romance sounded intriguing. What pulled me in was the fact the main woman character who can cook also has the talent to know what a person is feeling by tasting what they’ve cooked. I think that’s what it is? But it sounds intriguing either way.
The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon is a romance/friendship strong contemporary. Three girls find out they’re dating the same man and decide to become friends instead of hating one another. For some self care, they agree for a year or so not to date at all and just focus on having fun with friends and each other, but apparently there’s a guy that comes along and threatens that no dating period for the main character. (This apparently is going to be a series, each book focusing on each of the three girls’ stories)
A Song Below Water by Bethany C. Morrow. Honestly all I know about this is that there are black mermaids and I was like SOLD!
The Invicible Summer of Juniper Jones by Daven McQueen is a book that—and bear with me with this explanation—is one of my friend’s friends’ girlfriend. My friend recommended this to me since I was looking to support some POC authors and this takes place in the mid 1950s I think, when the main male and biracial character is sent to Alabama to spend the summer with his aunt and uncle and for the first time seems to experience difficulty regarding his skin color. Juniper Jones who happens to be the town’s outcast and doesn’t like to follow the society’s rules forms a friendship with him and the two take on the summer together.
The Wedding Date, Party Of Two, The Wedding Party and The Proposal by Jasmine Guillory is a series of adult romance companion novels. I already bought the Christmas themed one for this holiday season and I wanted to purchase the entire series.
Lastly, A Song Of Wraiths and Ruins by Roseanne A. Brown is a fantasy based of African folklore. Two characters, a male and a female are set out to kill each other, but at the same time are falling in love with one another. This one has me SO excited.
Also I’m so sorry this is so long, I just wanted to share some great books and especially some written by POC authors. @spideyspencer @themetaphorgirl

Lacho fake marriage AU outline
@sob-dylan after your messages I spent the entire day thinking about that Lalo/Nacho fake dating/marriage AU and while I can’t give this fandom the 30 chapter slow burn fanfic it deserves, I can give you my rundown of one!
Lalo’s an ambitionless spoilt little brat in his mid 40’s who always thought he could just coast through life, party and have a good time and fuck whoever he wants. Which was the case, until he screws up really bad and it’s revealed to everyone in no unclear details that he’s gay as the night is dark. He thought it wouldn’t be a big deal, that tio Hector would just turn a blind eye to it like he usually does. But this time, it’s different, and Lalo is running danger of getting disowned - in a best case scenario.
And that… actually hurts Lalo. Pissed and sulky that his own family, who he’d do everything for, is so ready to just throw him out over something as trivial as this, he actually starts developing some ambition. They wanna disown him? They won’t be able to, if he’s their boss. He’s gonna show them. He’s gonna show them all.
So he actually starts rivalling Hector’s son for position of Don Hector’s successor. (I’d say Hector never ended up in a wheelchair cuz he’d lend himself perfectly for an antagonistic power in the story.) There’s just one problem: Lalo’s got to be married for the job. Now he COULD just get himself a fake girlfriend - or he could piss everyone who spurned him off even more and get married to a guy. Now all he needs to do is find a man whom he trusts completely, who can handle himself in sticky situations, and who is ready to set foot into the lion’s den that is the Salamanca family and the cartel business.
What better candidate than dear Ignacio.
Nacho is of course not exactly enthusiastic about the proposal, and no promises of material wealth will change his mind. So Lalo strikes a deal with him. Complete immunity for Nacho and his dad, protection from within and outside of the Salamanca family, even after their business has concluded. Which it will, after Lalo has reached his goals, and then Nacho is free to go his merry way. Nacho agrees, under one more condition: Any physical affection happening between them is purely for show, and the moment they are in private, he will NOT let Lalo lay a single finger on him. He’s no hooker, and he will most definitely not become Lalo’s little plaything.
They shake hands on it, and before Nacho knows it, he’s in Mexico, at the Salamanca’s place, and the wedding preparations are already underway. Oh my god this would be my fav part because Nacho would be introduced to Lalo’s buddies, cuz you KNOW he’s got a huge circle of syccopha- I mean friends at home that he hangs out with all day. They laugh at all his jokes and they play poker with him and Lalo has missed them SO MUCHHH. Anyway, this would be. SUCH a good opportunity. To come up with some female Salamancas. Does Lalo have sisters? WHAT ABOUT LALO’S MOM. I WOULD FUCKING LOVE to read about Lalo’s mom. I bet she’s amazing, just as much of a spoilt little drama queen as he is, and Lalo is a TOTAL mommy’s boy, no one can convince me otherwise. (Maybe his dad has been out of the picture for a while, cuz I would really like to push this whole Hector-is-Lalo’s-father-figure angle.)
ANYWAY, back to Lalo and his mom. She’s a tough as nails lady, lofty and reserved, but overly protective of her son. They’re super close and affectionate with each other and it’s so weird for Nacho to see cause he thinks it’s the first time that he sees Lalo with someone that he seems to. Genuinely… CARE about?? Except for Hector, that is. But mamá is not a huge fan of Lalo getting married to Nacho, she can’t understand what the FUCK her son is doing there, she begs him to PLEASE stay under the radar with his caprices and tries to talk him out of it.
This in turn only goads on Lalo. He’s getting more and more tired of the way he’s being treated. It’s not that he actually has enough social awareness to deplore his family’s homophobia. For him, this is personal. He’s been a good boy, he’s loved his family and been loyal to them all his life, he’s kept his desires on the down low for all these years, now they’re turning on him because of one measly slip up?? He’s fed up, betrayed, and he’s gonna show them. And totally not win back their respect or anything, this is not what this is about at all, noooo~
There would of course be more Salamancas, most of them taking issue with the marriage, but I do absolutely adore the idea of overly supportive Tuco!! Just THINK about it, everyone greeting the newly married couple awkwardly or even with slight hostility, only Tuco barrels in like “YEEAHHH, where’s my favorite cousin?? You and my man here? You be good! Nacho, you’ll do good by Lalo, right? Riiiight!” And everyone grows more uncomfortable by the minute while Tuco can’t read a room for shit and he’s having SUCH a ball, he’s so PUMPED it’s not even funny.
There’d be all this tension between Nacho and the other Salamancas in the weeks after the wedding, it would be glorious.
And of course there’s the matter of Nacho and Lalo having to pretend they’re married for. Other reasons than a cold and calculated agreement. They don’t spend their entire day together, both taking care of various dealings. Nacho gets incorporated in the Salamanca’s business this side of the border and proves himself just as much of a reliable associate as he has been up North.
But whenever possible, they have to have dinner together, breakfast together, and sleep in the same bed. Fortunately, they’re both professional enough to arrange themselves with the situation quickly. Lalo is sometimes a bit flirty about it, but when Nacho makes clear that he doesn’t appreciate the come-ons, Lalo backs off.
Of course Lalo still reserves his right to fuck whoever he wants, just that he has to go back to being absolutely stealth about it. Only Nacho and his lovers know about it, and it’s not that Nacho disagrees with anything that’s happening, he’s not enough into Lalo to get jealous (yet), but this is starting to look a little bit weird to him, especially when he finds out that this is how it’s been for Lalo all his life.
Nacho doesn’t understand much about social awareness either, but he knows a repressed gay when he sees one. He gets all these insights into Lalo’s life, into how he grew up, and Nacho can’t help feeling at least the slightest bit of sympathy for how Lalo had to deny himself his entire life. Him being bi wasn’t always easy either, but at least he’s not a Salamanca! …Or at least, he didn’t use to be. Maybe Nacho talks about it to some of Lalo’s buddies, some of who maybe have even known Lalo since childhood, and who have seen him struggle with this all his life.
Just… UGH, this would be the perfect opportunity to explore just how much self-denial and internalized phobias have wreaked havoc in Lalo’s head! Because if you try to approach this from Lalo’s PoV, he’s not gonna see it at ALL. A river in Egypt, baby, that’s where Lalo is about this. He’s fine, he’s FINE, he’S   F I N E, he didn’t have dreams about tio Hector shooting him in the face as a kid after that incident in the desert back when he was ten, no, he’s fine, HE’S FINE!!! But his buddies? They’re probably not the princes of social graces either, but they have EYES and maybe one or two of them give enough of a shit about Lalo to actually have noticed what’s going on, and it would be so good to have them reveal that knowledge to Nacho!
So while Nacho starts seeing Lalo in a slightly different light (we’re talking VERY slightly, repressed gay or not, he’s still a murderous sociopath), but still, there’s part of him that grows protective over Lalo. They spend a couple of months together, and Nacho is starting to settle. He only has one half of a bed instead of a whole one, but other than that, the tasks are much the same as they used to be, the goddamn luxury in which he’s suddenly living doesn’t hurt either, and it’s almost scary how easy it is to get used to all of this.
Lalo’s PDAs don’t bother him, and neither do the hostile stares. This is his role, and he’s gonna play it. There would be so much time and space for lots of power play between Nacho and Hector here, or Nacho and the other Salamancas, and it would be a thing of beauty. They live their lives under the ever watchful and suspicious eyes of Hector Salamanca, and Nacho and Lalo are starting to form an excellent team. No one can really do anything against them cuz their work is solid as all hell, and Nacho’s growing more confident by the minute.
There’s just one problem, and that’s the fact that Lalo behaving all respectful towards him and the casual kisses they sometimes share to keep up appearances are kinda starting to linger on Nacho’s mind. Lalo takes actions that show Nacho that he was being absolutely serious about protecting him as part of their deal, and Nacho can’t remember the last time someone protected him.
Nacho becomes a bit less strict about the no-body-contact-in-private policy, lets Lalo give him a massage when he’s all tense and returns the favor, and it’s not lost on him that Lalo does express some signs of attraction towards him, though he explains it away with Lalo just being. You know. Lalo.
There’s just one problem. It’s been forever since Nacho has seen Manuel, and Nacho really feels like he should check up on him. But he knows it’s against their agreement for him to just go back to New Mexico whenever he feels like it. So he offers a mutual breaching of their rules: Lalo lets Nacho go to New Mexico for a couple of days, and in return, Nacho will sleep with Lalo. This is of course an offer that Nacho makes while already climbing into Lalo’s lap, just to hasten the decision making.
But after letting Nacho squirm for a second, Lalo declines. He gently pushes Nacho away and says that tio Hector wouldn’t be happy at all if Nacho just ran off like that. Why don’t they just take a little vacation together? And Nacho is like: “A vacation. In New Mexico.” And Lalo is like “Yeah idk either we’re gonna be bored out of our damn minds!” And Nacho actually laughs. He’s not happy about having to take Lalo with him, but it’s better than nothing.
So they go to New Mexico together, which officially counts as a road trip and I am a very happy boy. There’s gonna be endless mariachi songs and Lalo singing along, fun for everyone! They rent a little vacation home in Abq for a couple days, and Nacho invites Manuel over for dinner. Nacho is super nervous beforehand, but Lalo talks him down, tells him about how his cooking will immediately convince Manuel that he’s got himself the perfect son in law, and Nacho almost appreciates the sentiment - if only it were that easy.
Lalo lets Manuel in, and the most awkward dinner of all time ensues. Lalo aggressively tries to make conversation while Manuel and Nacho eat their food in complete silence, the tension between them so thick you could cut it with a knife. After the main course, Lalo excuses himself to, idk, look after the dessert that he left out on the patio table to cool.
Finally, Nacho asks Manuel how the shop is, and Manuel is preeetty taciturn, just says yeah, it’s fine, and then Manuel opens his mouth and he’s just. So aghast at. Everything transpiring in front of him. Ignacio, what is going on here. You went to Mexico? Got married? To a man your dad’s never even seen? And half a year later you suddenly show up and wanna have dinner together?
And Nacho knows he is kidding himself if he thinks this is just magically gonna fix anything, but he just wanted to make sure his dad is okay. And concerning the man he married… well. He said who he is, right?
But Manuel’s like, he said his name was… Lalo?
And it finally dawns on Nacho that Manuel’s got no clue who he’s having dinner with. And Nacho just. Puts his face in his hands as if he could just hide, from this conversation, from his dad, from everything, and he murmurs: “Eduardo Salamanca.”
And his dad, he’s so deeply shocked, he just stares, and in that moment it really hits Nacho that through all these months of getting accustomed and settling in, through all the calculating and scheming that’s ruled his mindset day after day, he has forgotten who it is that he shares a bed with every night, even if it’s just symbolical.
“Salamanca”, he hears his dad repeat incredulously, and it’s like he’s seen this all before and he wants to say it, he wants to say that he’s doing all this just for his papá, but he can’t, and no matter what he does he won’t win his father’s love back, especially not with stunts like this, and when Manuel gets up to leave, Nacho can only follow him half-heartedly and watch him drive away into the night from the door, until his taillight vanishes in the dark.
Along comes Lalo, all chipper and acting completely clueless, like, what have I missed? Oh, your dad left so soon? What a shame, now he’s gonna miss dessert! But Nacho’s not listening, he’s leaving, getting his car keys, and Lalo… actually lets him.
Nacho just needs a couple of hours alone, driving through his hometown, and he’s lucky there’s so little traffic cuz he can barely see through the blur that’s suddenly befallen his vision, and he drives, and drives, past his old school, past Tampico Furniture, until it’s late in the night.
When he gets back, Lalo’s fallen asleep on the couch, and Nacho crawls on top of him, and starts kissing him, and he just doesn’t care, he needs this right now, he’s just desperate for something, anything.
Of course it doesn’t mean shit. It was just what Nacho needed, nothing more, nothing less. And when Lalo offers a little trip the next day, Nacho is glad to have something take his mind off of last night. Not that it was bad. Quiiite the opposite. He still has bite marks all over his neck and when he sees Lalo hop under the shower he notices the dark red streaks all the way down his back and uhm YES that is a THING that Nacho FEELS and MAYBE he just bit his lip at the sight but yeah. MAYBE he hit rock bottom yesterday night and then proceeded to have the most mindless, hottest sex of his entire life. Maybe. I just need Lalo and Nacho to be so sexually compatible in all the best and most horrible ways.
They take the trip back and somehow, with every mile away from Abq, Nacho’s dark thoughts dissipate a little bit more, as he returns into a world where he understands the problems, and he can handle them, and he’s in control, and he doesn’t owe anyone any explanations or emotional debts.
This is where all the dramatic shit could happen, like Nacho taking on harder jobs, going on a shootout with the twins, or Lalo getting back from a deal gone wrong, or them having to pull off some dangerous stunt together, and there’s bullets flying and blood and injuries and fretting over the other one’s life and pulling each other out of harm’s way and don’t you dare die on me we still haven’t reached our goal yet we’ve come so far godDAMNIT DON’T YOU DARE!
And when Nacho wakes up, bandages all over, he expects to be alone, but instead there’s Lalo, who’s fallen asleep by his bedside, and. It makes Nacho feel all sorts of things, but he’s not ready, not yet, to acknowledge this. Also he’s just seen Lalo shoot three guys while grinning like a maniac so that’s a thing.
Nacho’s in it for the long haul now, and he stays with Lalo through hardships and dangers. He eliminates every threat to Lalo effectively and efficiently and helps him on his rise to power. When someone schemes against Lalo, Nacho sniffs it out and saves him. When Hector or his son have plans to move against Lalo, Nacho’s there to thwart them.
In time, the violent lifestyle he’s exposed to affects him less and less outwardly, though it doesn’t stop leaving marks on his psyche. Days blend together, and Nacho alternates between a life of domesticity and that of a crime lord with ease now. And when he beats a guy that he was supposed to torture into revealing information into a bloody pulp because his mind has turned into scorching rage against absolutely everything and everyone, when he wrests the canister from Lalo’s hand, douses the entire house in gasoline and flicks the match in with a dark and merciless glint in his eyes, it only takes until they’re back by the car that Lalo shoves him on the backseat and kisses him so hard and deep it feels like he’s drowning, the smell of gasoline and ash still fresh on their skin.
Idk whether Hector dies of natural causes, or whether Gus swoops in as a final boss to take care of him, but after Lalo and Nacho have reached their goal, and they could end it, they find new aims, like taking down Don Eladio, taking down Gus, new excuses, just like Nacho has always found excuses not to run away from the Salamancas. Lalo and Nacho are both uprooted and looking for closure, through the years, they’ve grown closer than they ever anticipated, know each other better than anyone else.
And without realizing it, Nacho himself is slowly turning more and more into a true Salamanca.

hello all!
as many of you know, i mentioned that i was working on a thomastair fic. well, recently i gained the confidence to finish the chapter and i finally have! i’m going to upload it here first to get some opinions, and after that it will all be going on wattpad. if you like what you read and don’t use wattpad, please let me know! without further ado, here it is;
ethereal - thomastair, ch1
Thomas Lightwood did not enjoy parties. However, he was attending this one. One of his best friends, James Herondale, was celebrating his engagement to his long term girlfriend, Cordelia Carstairs. Thomas was happy for them; of course he was. But deep down, he wanted something like what they had. A love so strong, so beautiful.
He would never comfortably get it.
"You ready then, Matthew?"
Matthew was bubbly as usual. Something about him felt slightly...off, though.
"Of course! Yes. I can't wait!"
Thomas grabbed his cousin Christopher and the three left. James was already at the Devil's Tavern with Cordelia and Anna, Thomas's other cousin. Anna had given Cordelia a dress -surprising, as Anna herself never wore them.
The celebration was to be small; The Merry Thieves, Cordelia, Anna, Tessa & Will, and Sona, Cordelia's mother. Elias Carstairs was not going to be there, as he was still 'unwell'. As for Alastair, Cordelia's permanently MIA brother, he was still not going to be there. He never was. Cordelia had been sad; she loved her brother and would have loved him to come. But there was something 'odd' about him. She'd explained it in short once before:
"I do have a brother -Alastair. I love him dearly. But none of you will ever meet him- at least it's highly unlikely. He has sworn off ever socialising with anyone other than family."
"Why?" Christopher had asked, with genuine curiosity.
"He hasn't told me exactly what it is. Until a few years ago we were close, but now he just shuts everyone out. He's always been terrified of emotions. Acting like love is a weakness. I want him to meet someone, to fall in love and be happy, but any time I ask him if he's met anyone he just replies with 'To love is to destroy'. It's like his mantra or something."
"He isn't possessed is he?" asked Matthew.
"Of course not you idiot! But he might as well be. All I know is, whatever this damn curse is I don't have it."
Thomas had become fascinated. He played around with the theory that Alastair was one of those ethereals he'd always heard about. He knew the stories, and to be honest had always wanted to meet one. None of the other Merry Thieves believed in them, so Thomas usually kept quiet.
"Guys! You're here!"
The trio of boys were immediately absorbed into hugs.
"Wouldn't want to miss it. Congrats!"
"Thank you," said Cordelia, blushing.
"Your dress is...beautiful. Where did you get it?" asked Matthew.
"Me. I gave her it," Anna responded, with a smirk. "I have them lying about my apartment. Never would wear any, but I like to keep them in case," she ended with a wink.
"ATTENTION, ATTENTION, I DEMAND YOUR ATTENTION," came a loud voice from the other end of the room. Thomas sighed and smiled when he saw who the voice belonged to.
Of course it was Magnus Bane.
"NOW THAT THE BOYS ARE HERE, I BELIEVE WE MAY BEGIN THE PARTY!" he said, ringing a bell.
"Why does he have a bell?" whispered Thomas.
"Seriously. You looked at him and the first question you asked was about a bell?" Anna replied.
She had a point. Magnus was well known for his outlandish and elaborate dress sense, and today was no exclusion. Somehow, he managed to look incredible no matter what he wore. Which in today's scenario, was a dark purple velvet jacket, some (leather?) trousers, a pair of extremely glittery boots, and a satin shirt of baby blue.
Matthew stared at him. "I can't tell whether I want to be him or be with him. I-"
"Adore him, we know. Why don't you go talk to him?" Thomas proposed.
"Absolutely not. I am not going to risk embarrassing myself, especially after the river incident with James that one time. I believe I will mingle with the ladies instead," Matthew concluded, approaching Sona. She began laughing.
"Christopher you haven't spoken a word. You okay?" asked Anna.
Christopher looked shocked someone had even spoken to him.
Even though Anna was his sister.
"I'm fine. You know I don't really like parties though. Too many people," he said, nervously laughing.
"You can stay about with me if you want?"
"No! You love partying. I don't want to be a hindrance-"
"Hindrance! Chris you're my brother! I can sacrifice one party for your sake. And besides," Anna cleared her throat, "I know all the girls here. No one interesting or single."
Christopher shrugged. He and Anna started talking to each other. Out of the corner of his eye, Thomas could see Cordelia glancing towards the opposite end of the room, and almost immediately darting towards it. Had she seen something?
Someone?
➿➿➿➿➿
Alastair Carstairs did not like hurting his sister. Unfortunately, he felt like he had. So that was why he went to the Devil's Tavern. He'd snuck inside through the back room, and was standing to the side, hoping to go unnoticed.
Alastair loved his sister. He was so fiercely protective of her -had been ever since childhood. So when that fateful night occurred four years ago, it had been hard for him to come around to.
Alastair thought about what had happened. Why his life was so different now. He was so scared and confused at the time -just fifteen years old. A man had come knocking at their family home door, asking for him. Sona was terrified -who was this randomer to come to her door and demand to see her son? But Alastair had woken up and had agreed to speak with him. He was tall, very very tall, Asian, and...beautiful. So beautiful. He didn't look too much older than Alastair himself, which was odd.
But the beauty.
It struck you in the face.
It was indescribable.
Alastair had recalled feeling unnaturally comfortable with this man, like he was a brother or some other male relative. He told Alastair that he was special; that there was something slightly different about him. He told him of the 'ethereals' -a community of people all across the world. They were a beautiful people. Not majorly different to normal people, but nowhere near the same. They had an immediate attractiveness that made them literally impossible to resist regardless of a person's feelings towards them. This, however, proved bad at times, and often ethereal relationships did not work out. They loved with their entire soul; if this love was not returned, their loved one was, well, it was awful really. Ethereals could have relationships with each other and they could even be with normal people if they wished. However, that was not recommended nor respected by other ethereals.
Alastair faintly recalled the man telling him how he felt about that rule/idea.
It was clear he did not like it.
But he assured Alastair that he was okay, and that he was there for him. One thing Alastair thought was unfortunate was that he couldn't remember his name- it was a unique one anyway.
As if thought became reality, Alastair returned from his daydream to see that the man he'd met all those years ago was here. At his sister's party? Odd. He thought he would've seen him again at least once if they were friends. He thought about talking to him, but he still wanted to stay unnoticed.
You can't always get what you want, though.
"Alastair?!? My brother?!"
Cordelia was standing right in front of him.
———————
Cordelia threw her arms around her brother, hugging him tight. "Why did you come?"
He gave her a glare, but couldn't help but smile. "I felt truly awful. I thought I would upset you, and so I snuck my way here. I still wish to remain unseen by the others, however."
Cordelia's smile faded a little. "Couldn't you meet them? Just introduce yourself? Please. Just once?"
"No. I am not quite sure they would like me anyways," he said, tailing off a little.
"Alastair. What are you afraid of?" Cordelia inquired.
For a moment he was silent.
"That man, the Asian one, he's the man who came to our house."
"Magnus Bane?"
"Yes, him. I wish I could ask him questions."
Because lord knows how many I have.
"I can bring him over if you like?" The younger girl offered.
"No," said Alastair, shaking his head. "I don't want to make anyone suspicious."
"Daisy? Where'd you go?"
"Oh, I am so sorry. That's James. I have to go. But thank you, Alastair. Thank you for coming. And hey; loosen up a little, alright?"
Alastair only smiled in response.
————————
Thomas was still standing chatting with Christopher and Anna, although he hadn't entirely been paying attention to the conversation. He was watching Cordelia. He could definitely see her talking to someone, but whoever she was talking to was extremely well hidden. Then he heard James call out for her, and she turned and dashed off, returning to him with a smile. He tried his best to see if he could make out a person, but it was virtually impossible.
"What's got you staring off into the distance? A pretty girl?" joked Anna.
Blood rushed to his face immediately. Thomas wished to tell Anna the truth; that he did not care for pretty girls. That he cared more about pretty boys. Anna was his cousin; and not only did he know she would support him she was also, for lack of a better word, the other way inclined.
But something was stopping him, and he wasn't quite sure what.
"I was joking, by the way, in case that's why you haven't replied," she said, raising an eyebrow.
"I- yes. I mean not as in yes I was looking at a pretty girl, I mean- actually I'm not quite sure. I'm too tired."
That was partially true, however Thomas wanted an excuse to investigate Cordelia's secret friend.
Christopher looked delighted. "If you're tired, we could leave together?"
"Oh my! Christopher, mine own brother dear, do not sound so excited to be out of my presence!"
Christopher panicked. "I didn't mean it like that!"
"I know you didn't kid. It's fine. You two leave, we'll see you tomorrow."
Thomas and Christopher left, waving to Anna. Once outside, Thomas turned to Christopher.
"Hey, there's one last thing I want to do before going back. Do you want to wait here for me, or do you wish to walk home alone?"
Christopher shrugged. "I can stay here and read."
"Are you sure? It's quite cold."
"I'll stay here for as long as I can, but if I begin to think you are taking too long I shall vacate the area and make my advances toward home and a warm bed."
Thomas laughed. He adored his family; and Christopher was no exception. He may seem odd to others, what with his obsession with science and lack of social skills, but Thomas didn't care. He and the Merry Thieves would stand up for him even if it meant losing their legs.
Thomas gave him a reassuring smile and snuck back inside the Tavern.  This time, he decided to sneak in via the back in case anyone saw him entering and re-engaged him in conversation.
He certainly did not expect his chest to collide with someone's head.
"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't know that anyone- hey!"
The boy he'd collided with shoved his way past Thomas angrily. He was significantly shorter than him, but to be fair so were the majority of people. Curious, and to be honest- slightly offended, he followed him.
He called out to him, only to be met with an intense glare and for the boy to continue walking away.
Thomas got a glimpse of his face. It wasn't much, but the glare lasted long enough for Thomas to figure out who it was. He looked incredibly similar to his sister, save that he had pitch black hair compared to her ruby red. He called out again, this time using the boy's name.
"Alastair!"
Alastair's head snapped back to face Thomas again, like a deer caught in headlights. Thomas approached him. "Hey! You're Alastair, aren't you? Cordelia's big brother?"
Alastair spoke for the first time. "I do not see why that is of any worth to you. Also, your chest collided with my head, and now it hurts."
"I'm sorry! I didn't think anyone would be there. I just wanted to-"
"I have no reason to be concerned with what you are about to say, so if you may allow me I shall be on my way. I have places to go and things to do and talking to a stranger is not one of them."
“Alright, no need to be rude. I'm only trying to be friendly-"
"With all due respect I don't care."
Thomas was getting frustrated. "Listen, Alastair. Your sister told us that you aren't a people person and I get that, but being unnecessarily rude is not the way to go. You could at least pretend to care about your sister-"
"You have no right to talk about me like that. You know nothing about me. I do care. I care a lot more than you think. Now, I will be taking my leave."
As Alastair turned to leave, Thomas still called out to him. "But aren't you curious who I am? Don't you at least want to know my name?"
"I know your name. I do actually talk to my sister, you know."
"Then why are you never here for her? Why do you never bother to make an effort to talk to her friends or to get to know any of us? I think you're-"
Alastair was seething. "Thomas Lightwood, I suggest you stop talking and leave me alone. You have no idea what you're speaking of and I intend to keep it that way."
Thomas changed the mood of the conversation, and spoke softly. "What are you afraid of? Why are you so scared to talk to people? Are you afraid of falling in love? Is that it?"
Alastair opened his mouth to make another snarky reply, but instead he bit his tongue.
"I'm cursed, okay?! I have this thing, this burden that was put on me when I was just fifteen. It makes me weird, and I hate it. I hate everything. All I wanted was a normal life and a normal life I did not get. Goodbye, Thomas. Enjoy the rest of your night."
In his mind, that was an answer to the question Thomas had been thinking about for  several years now.
“You’re not weird. You aren’t cursed either.”
“What do you mean?”
Thomas paused, and Alastair turned to walk away.
"Ethereal," he whispered.
If Alastair was surprised Thomas had said that it did not show.
"I don't know what you think you know about me, Mr. Lightwood, but what I do know is that it's best I never see you again."
Thomas felt a small pain in his chest as Alastair finally started walking away. He was so curious about him.
And still offended. He started walking back to Christopher.
"Oh and Thomas?"
"Yes?"
"If any single one of you even thinks about hurting my sister, you'll have a spear through your neck."
Thomas raised his eyebrows.
Spears were an odd weapon choice, especially to have lying about the house.

Jonathan POV
Hi! My name is Jonathan Joestar! A little about my self? Well, I'm 26, I have 4 younger siblings that I take care of since my father is always working. But it's fine I love taking care of them! I have a girlfriend, her name is Erina Pendleton and I'm planning to propose to her soon! Please don't tell her that, or any of my bothers, I don't want them to roast me for being a softy again.
Even though I am the oldest I can't be there some times, so when I'm not there my brother Joseph is in charge. But Joseph sometimes can be... How can I say this without sounding rude? Stupid? Immature? Idiotic? Well, yes to all of those.
Since Joseph can be a bit dumb at times, dad gives responsibly to Jotaro. He's pretty chill but sometimes can come off as rude. It's all a fake though, he loves marine life (especially dolphins lol) and when he was ten he told me he wanted to be a Marine Biologist! So in short, he's a dork.
Then there's Josuke and Jolyne the twins. There the youngest in the family. Josuke is the oldest by a few minutes. He's a goofball but can be serious if needed. Like if someone insults his hair he could go as some might say, Apeshit.
Jolyne, our only sister. Her personality is much like Jotaro. She just says whatever she wants, whenever she wants. I can't really say much about her since I'm being blackmailed by her and Jotaro. They're so alike it's scary.
I know I said I only had 4 siblings but there's another I didn't mention. 3 years before Joseph was born my father adopted a "friend" of his's son, Dio Brando. Dio was, excuse my language, a dick ever since we were kids. He ran over my dog Danny with one of his "friends" cars. As soon as Dio turned 18 he moved to Italy to become a lawyer. But that wasn't the last time I saw him.
While in Italy Dio, had a child with a woman he didn't even know. That woman neglected her son and allowed her husband to abuse him.
"She would leave days at a time and leave little food for him." I looked at the toddler sleeping in his arms, he had black hair and a cute bowl cut. "He's only a kid, he can't survive like that," Dio said to me.
"..."
"I can't let him have the same childhood as me." he looked dead into my eyes. I finally understood where he was coming from torturing me all these years.
"..." I stayed quiet.
"But I'm not taking care of this kid."
And now he lives with us! His name is Giorno Giovanna-Brando-Joestar. He is only a year younger then Josuke and Jolnye. And that's my family!
And remember when I said my dad works a lot, that was a lie...
He died on Jotaro's 11th birthday. He and my stepmother were hit by a drunk driver. Jotaro blames himself for the crash. It's not his fault though, he had no control over it. He was only a kid. I'm sorry to drop this on you now but with my father's death made me like a father figure to them. Dad would be proud.
Ages,
Jonathan- 26
Johnny- 22
Joseph- 20
Jo2uke- 19
Jotaro- 17
Josuke- 16
Jolyne- 16
Giorno- 15
Narrator POV
Jonathan woke up first as normal and recapped his schedule,
Ok, so I have to make breakfast, Make sure they're ready for school, go to work, and meet up with Erina, and? What else do I have to do? ...Oh yeah! Take away Joseph's phone for getting arrested yesterday! Next time he should, you know, not try and run over his WHEELCHAIR BOND COUSIN! Goodness, I got angry again, sorry about that.
Jonathan arose from his bed and began his morning routine. He showered, washed his face, brushed his teeth, and got ready for the day.
He then started to make breakfast for his big family.
Joseph likes bacon with coffee.
Jotaro likes toast with coffee.
Josuke likes eggs with juice.
Jolyne likes yogurt with coffee.
And Giorno likes vegan pancakes with tea.
Oh yeah, Johnny, and Gappy and/or Jo2uke are staying with us! I wonder what they want? I'll just make them eggs.
A door opens from upstairs. Giorno walks out from his room to the bathroom to get ready for school. He liked waking up before the rest of his family.
When Giorno was done getting ready he walked down the stairs, and greeted Jonathan as he sat down.
"Good Morning, Jonathan."
"Good Morning! Did you sleep well?" Jonathan asked.
"Yeah, I think s-" He was cut off by a door slamming shut. Very loudly.
"Must be Jotaro. Jolyne must have gotten in the bathroom first." Giorno commented.
Jonathan laughed. "I guess so."
~~~~~~~~~~~
"Good Morning, retards!" Jolyne came prancing down the stairs.
"Jolyne, that isn't nice," Jonathan said sternly.
"You're right, Joseph isn't here right now." she sat down. Jonathan sighed. saying nothing back to her, defeated.
"Where is Joseph anyway?" Giorno asks.
Jonathan scoffs, "I told him to be awake at 6:00 sharp."
"Why 6:00?" Jolyne asked
"That's his punishment for trying to run over Johnny yesterday."
"Ohh yeah! I remember now!"
"Your next line will be, 'The things he'll do for 20 bucks,'!" a voice from inside the pantry spoke.
"The things he'll do for 20 bucks- JOSEPH!" Jolyne yelled.
Joseph popped out of the pantry fully dressed and looking proud.
"I've been up since 4 am!" he said proudly.
"Did you have another nightmare?" Jotaro said sarcastically walking down the stairs.
"Yes actually, Ocean Man!"
"What did you say?" Jotaro asked sternly. Even though Joseph was 3 years older than him they were about the same size.
"He called you, OCEAN. MAN! O-C-E-A-N M-A-N!" Josuke called from the upstairs bathroom.
"Fuck off." Jotaro sat down. "Langage, Jotaro!" Jonathan told him.
"Joot, you seem more pissy than usual, are you on your period?" Jolyne asked smugly.
"Jolyne, I'm not in a good mood and I want you to know I will not hesitate to choke you out and then feed it to your simp."
"Anasui is not a simp!" Jolyne defended.
"Funny, how you knew who I was talking about without saying his name."
~~~~~~~~~~~
"Have fun at school!" Jonathan yelled at his younger siblings.
"Yeah, fun and school don't mix well," Jolyne yelled back.
Joseph usually carpools with Ceasar and Smokey. Jotaro drives him and his friends to school with Jonathan's car. (Jonathan drives there dads car to work). Jolyne caught a ride with her girlfriend Ermes. Josuke walked with his friends Okuyasu and Koichi. And Giorno either walked by himself or ride with his older friend Bruno, today he was alone with his thoughts.
Joseph POV
"Ugh, collage sucks!" I groaned. "Suck it up buttercup It's only the beginning of the year," Ceasar said, reading a book.
Asshole.
We were in the library supposed to be studying but I got a bit distracted. See Suzi Q was also in the library, by herself. Nobody around her, the perfect opportunity to ask her out, but this blonde bubble-blowing bitc-
"Stop staring at Suzi, it's starting to get creeping now," Ceasar said still looking at the book.
"And why should I?"
"1. We should be studying, and 2. Your so small no girl wants to date you." that asshole wrote something in his notebook.
I. Was. Annoyed to say the least. I mean it's true, BUT YOU DON'T SAY IT! So I did the only rational thing, put him in a headlock.
Good thing the library was empty except for a couple of people who were used to our bullshit by now.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU BUFFOON!?" Ceasar said, or at least tried too.
Ha, get rekt, bitch.
Jotaro POV
"Ugh, I hate school."
"Can you stop being edgy for 5 seconds?" Polnareff asked.
Dick,
"Can you guys stop arguing and actually help!" Avdol said while he was doing the science assignment, I don't know why. Fucken dork.
"Kakyoin is literally sleeping!" Polnareff wined.
"Kakyoin has had a long day."
"Yeah... what are we talking about?"
"So, sleeping beauty is finally up," I say.
"I know you meant that as an insult but I'm taking it as a compliment, Aurora was fabulous!" Kak laughed like the maniacal little gay shit he is.
"Aww, you guys are so cute!"
"Polnareff focus on the experiment!-" the test tube cut him off, by exploding.
"..."
"Finally something exciting," I said because it was fucking epic.
"I mean this would not have happened Joot and Kak weren't flirting with each other."
"Wtf."
Josuke POV
"Math is hardddddd."
"It's not that hard, Oku."
"Bullshit."
"Okuyasu, you should probably pay attention to my lesson instead of complaining." our math and gym/Hamon teacher Lisa-Lisa said to my friend Okuyasu, and trust me no one wants to get on her bad side, the last person to do that was Joseph, he still has nightmares, and he graduated.
"Yes, Josuke?"
"Is this going to be on the test?" I ask so I could know what to remember.
"Most of it will. But if you're asking me if you should listen in class or not, the answer is yes." it felt like she stared into my soul at that list part.
The bell rang
Lunch finally! Freedom at last!
"Your homework is to study for the quiz I'm giving you on an undisclosed date!"
Giorno POV
I walk over to bleachers outside of school where my friends (And Abbacchio) usually eat.
"Hey, guys." I quietly say. Right now there is only, Bruno, Abbacchio, Mista, and... Trish. Anyways as soon as Fugo and Narancia get here the peace will be ruined. Right now Bruno was talking to Mista and Trish about some party this Friday, and Abbacchio was on his phone with headphones on.
"Hello Giorno, how was your morning," Bruno asked.
"Eh, it was fine. Jolyne almost got ORAed."
"What else is new," Trish said drinking her mineral water. Wow shes really pretty, what?
"SUP BITCHES!" Narancia ran up to the bleachers with Fugo following behind him, sighing. Well, that was fun while it lasted.

Angela Eugenia Christiansen (Templeton)
a complete-ish backstory for angela, my slasher oc. the timeline i have for her is tentative and i might play around with it a bit more, all i’m definitive about for her is that she’s somewhere in the mid-century period
---
Angela Eugenia Christiansen Templeton
Born: December 2nd, 1940 to Mary and Peter Christiansen
Age: 28
Height: 5’5
Hair/Eyes: Blonde /Greenish-hazel
Hometown: Jacksonville, Florida
An only child born later in life to her parents (who considered her conception and birth miraculous), she was doted upon by her mother and various other relations that came to call, being the only child in the family at the time (with all her cousins having reached an age bracket far enough away from her as to make meaningful connection difficult). Her father, already not particularly fond of his wife’s family or of being sociable, spent long hours locked away in his office, where Angela was forbidden to go. “Sorry, Angie, Daddy’s busy,” was a common refrain of her childhood. Peter really did love his daughter dearly, he just didn’t know how to express it, and had long since given up the hope of children long before she was born. He worked hard as a way to show his affection, made money to keep her in nice clothes and buy her nice things. Angela often wondered what was wrong with her, when everyone else seemed to like her so much, but her own father wouldn’t give her the time of day. Upon later reflection, she agrees she has daddy issues because of this.
Upon reaching school age, she found it easy to put on a gregarious face and attract others to her; as her mother told her, everybody wanted to be friends with a pretty child who smiled and laughed all the time, even when she didn’t feel like smiling or laughing. The attention felt too good to not keep doing it, however. Eventually, she collected a gaggle of girlfriends, all similarly well-heeled and pretty, who giggled over the same boys and attended the same parties. For most of her adolescent years and into high school, she was content, growing into an amiable and eager to please young adult.
By the time her senior year of high school rolled around, some of that contentment had faded. She was realizing, slowly, that she might want more from life than a secretary job, a husband, and a house to keep, like her mother and most of her friends talked about. That slowly burgeoning doubt wasn’t enough to impel her to apply to college, or to keep her from accepting (with everyone in her life’s strongly-voiced support) when she was proposed to by a local banker’s son with wicked eyes and a razor-sharp grin, Richard Templeton.
Her father died when she was twenty-one, a year after she married Richard, from a sudden, devastating heart attack. Neither she nor her mother ever really recovered from the loss, since despite the slight dysfunction they all really did love each other, and Mary died less than two years later.
She spent the next ten years as Richard’s housewife, which she quickly realized meant his live-in maid and cook. At first they were friendly and even loving with each other, but as the honeymoon phase ended and they realized they really had no idea who the other person they had committed their life to was, they drifted apart. Eventually Richard was taken in entirely by his workplace environment of toxic masculinity and flagrant abuses of power, which carried over into his home life and how he treated Angela. She was never abused physically, but he did eventually become emotionally and verbally abusive.
This was not what Angela had been promised her life would be like. As she tells Richard, “I did everything right.” But it still wasn’t enough to make her happy.
The last straw came the day Richard came home, already drunk, and cornered her in the backyard as she was hanging out the laundry, and yelled at her for not having it done already, since he wanted to wear a particular shirt out with “the boys” that night, and it was currently in the wash. Angela, already annoyed since he’d specified what he wanted done that morning, snapped at him that he could wear a different shirt. He backhanded her across the face, his wedding ring breaking open the skin over her cheekbone, and sent her staggering. He snarled at her to never talk back to him like that again, and to dry the damn shirt already.
Her head ringing with the aftershocks, Angela nearly collapsed. It was in that moment that she spotted by the toolshed an axe, left out. She didn’t think as she stood up, moved to the toolshed, picked up the axe, and turned to go inside. She found Richard in the living room, taking his jacket off while muttering to himself. He didn’t have a chance to turn around and ask her what she was doing before she raised the axe and brought it down with a meaty wet crunch into the upper part of his back.
After she finished killing him, still high on power and adrenaline, Angela went about staging the scene. She wouldn’t do well in prison, she knew, and now she had plans forming in the back of her head, floodgates that she hadn’t known existed were opened; a new path presented itself. She’d do anything to feel that powerful again, to take that power from those that abused others. She couldn’t put this new notion into action if she were arrested for murder in the first degree. It took nearly an hour, but through working feverishly and rehearsing the lines she assigned herself as well as she could, she set the scene quite effectively for a home invasion gone bad. Fingerprints wiped from the axe, valuables removed from torn-out drawers and flushed. The final touch was to remove all suspicion from herself. Placing the axe on the floor with the glittering edge pointed up, she deliberately forced herself to slip and fall backwards on it. The large lot their house sat on kept any neighbors from hearing her scream. One genuinely agonized call to the police later, and Angela closed her eyes to wait. Either this worked, or maybe she could make a plea deal, get out early on good behavior.
It worked. No one could believe that Angela, sweet Angela, could possibly have murdered Richard. The scene really did appear to be that of a burglary gone south, especially the brutal axe wound poor Mrs. Templeton sustained trying to run away.
The police chief, a personal friend of the Templetons’, was especially helpful in removing all suspicion from Angela, since he could personally attest to the “happy marriage” the two shared.
Angela was happy to give a witness statement, to sniffle and cry through saying she didn’t really have much to do with her husband’s business, that she hadn’t seen the men’s faces because they were masked, that they made off with some of the valuables in the house before getting into a vehicle she hadn’t seen and taking off. Once she built her story, she was careful to stick to it. Within a week, she was formally cleared of all suspicion, and the gossip columns were all sympathy for poor Widow Templeton. She was allowed to leave the hospital soon after that, and laid low until Richard’s funeral was taken care of and the commotion died down around her.
After that, she sold much of their belongings including Richard’s car and their house, packed up what she wanted to keep, and decided on a whim to roadtrip out to California to start a new life. She returned to using her maiden name. The first day she was out on the road, she stopped at a motel to buy a map and ask about renting a room for the night. The manager was very unhelpful, openly ogling her and making inappropriate comments. That high feeling returned, flooding Angela’s veins with a glimmering wicked desire. The next day, a maid found the manager dead on the floor behind his desk, his eyes gouged out with his own desk scissors, gutted like a pig.
She’s aware she can’t just kill everybody who’s ever rude to her. That’ll get her caught, and she’s already come so far! She determines, however, that as she makes her way across the country, not to stay in one place for too long. So that if something were to happen, it wouldn’t be traceable to her.
-
Internally, Angela still longs for acceptance, since the recent events have led her to second guess every amount of love she’s ever gotten. Did her mother and relatives really love her, or did they love the idea of her? The concept of her they’d created in their heads, that Angela herself let them create?
She loves as deeply as she hates, longs to love and be loved. She tried tirelessly for ten years to love Richard and to make him love her. Despite her proclivity towards violence, Angela really does have an enormous amount of love to give. She wants to give it, wouldn’t mind taking care of a partner again, but doesn’t know if she can trust like that anymore.
She doesn’t know who she is, but if she can’t discover who she is, she isn’t afraid to forge herself anew, by any means necessary.
Random Facts:
-She likes animals of all kinds, and has a fondness for small children.
-An absolute sweater hoe. If you give her an article of your clothing that’s a bit big on her and soft, you’re not getting it back
-Has a quick wit and a sterling sense of humor, surprisingly easy-going and quick to laugh among friends or those she trusts
-Has a genuine need for glasses, but it’s not severe enough to need them all the time, and she prefers not to wear them
-Develops faint freckles when out in the sun for longer periods of time

“What’s wrong with you?”
“Is everything ok?”
“Are you ok?”
Roman has been asking these questions repeatedly, over the past few weeks. Only to have a half ass excuse as a response.
You’ve been so stressed planning his birthday party and trying to keep it a secret, that you didn’t even realized how much you’ve been neglecting your boyfriend and how odd you’ve been acting.
It was only when he asked for some time apart that you came to your senses. When abruptly all of your plans, all of your hard work seemed to just… go to waste. Everything went out the wrong way.
Now, you want to explain yourself and your actions, because you definitely owe him an explanation, but that means you have to come clean about his surprise party, and… in all honesty, it breaks your heart to have to do so. You’ve been so excited about it; working on all the details, inviting all his friends and family… and stupidly engulfed in everything about him, but somehow forgetting the most important part: him.
After debating with your thoughts for what seemed a century, you decided to let him get his space and clear his head. Knowing him, pressuring him to talk or listen to you would just upset him even more and make things worse.
So it’s been a week since you last saw him, or even talked to him. You followed your decision and let him be, and, much to your dismay, he never reached out ever since. And you’re missing him as hell.
Tomorrow it’s the big day. His birthday.
You still decided to keep the surprise party up. So that’s still happening. You’re not going to be there, but at least you know he’ll be there surrounded by the ones he loves. Happy. And that somehow is enough for you.
It’s 4pm, and you’re currently sprawled on your couch, a cup of tea sitting on the table, as you type the message with all the details to the venue to all the guests. You left Jimmy and Jey out and sent them a specific message, because they’re in charge of bringing Roman.
Once you’re done, you place your phone down on the couch, sighing as you look up at the ceiling, lost in thought. A few minutes later, your phone beeps.
“Hey, what’s up baby girl? You gonna be there tomorrow? Hope you’re feeling better. And don’t worry, we’ll get him there!”, the text said. You smile. Jimmy really is the sweetest.
The smile fades as you type your reply.
“Hey Uce! I’m not… I’m sorry. Make sure he goes, and please have fun.”
You put your phone on silent and turn off all notifications after hitting send, setting it down at the table, as if doing all that would stop all the stress and pain in your chest and protect you of your own thoughts.
To avoid any more overthinking, you ended up watching a couple of movies and ordering a pizza for dinner. Then, you took a long, hot shower, in hopes of relaxing and getting a good night of sleep, but you still had trouble falling asleep.
Waking up, your chest tightens once you realize what day it is. You drag yourself off the bed, but can’t seem to do anything but mope around the house.
Finally, it’s 5PM. In a half hour, guests would start arriving at the venue.
Once more, you’re lying down on the couch. The TV is playing some movie in the background but you’re not paying it any attention. Your mind… your heart is some miles away. Wherever Roman is.
Meanwhile, Roman is being dragged out of his bedroom by his two cousins who are insisting that he needs to get his 'stinky ass' in the shower. Reluctantly, he agrees and soon enough put on the clothes that were laid out on the bed before slipping on the shoes and lugging himself to the car waiting downstairs.
5:30PM.
Lots of guests have already arrived at the venue. And it’s all looking so good. Everyone’s admiring its decoration, and pretty much everything, since every single detail is somehow linked to Roman and something he likes or admires.
Finally, 15 minutes later, every guest is there, in their position, waiting for Roman and the Usos to arrive. Once their car gets in the parking lot, everyone is excited and trying to be quiet until they get there.
Roman seems lost in thought, so lost that he’s not even questioning why his cousins took him to this place.
“SURPRISE!” Everyone yells excitedly, jumping out of every corner.
Roman’s mouth falls open, his brows furrowed in confusion, but those features are quickly replaced by a gentle smile. Not a full, sparkling smile, because obviously something was missing. But he chose to ignore the feeling in the pit of his stomach.
He went out greeting and thanking every guest for their presence and for their birthday wishes. Once he’s done, he stands there in the corner, just glancing are the venue.
Everyone is here. His coworkers, his friends, his childhood friends… even his family is here. How did this happen? Who did this? Someone had to do this. His mind is now running with lots of questions.
Luckily, Jimmy knows him as the back of his hand.
“What’s up, Uce?”
“Uh, nothing. I was just thinking.” Roman sighs, glancing down at his feet, but Jimmy knows best.
“Thinking about what? It’s your party, enjoy it.” He tries to hype his cousin, putting his arm around his shoulder gently.
“Who did all this anyway? You and Jey?”
“Nope. Our job was merely to make sure you were here.”
“What? Then, who-”
“Seriously, Uce? Who do you think knows you this good and would put this much effort in a surprise party, uh?” Roman finally hits realization, running his hands down his face.
“I fucked up. I fucked up big time.”
“Why exactly did you break up with her?”
“I… I didn’t break up with her. I just… I asked for some time.” Jimmy shoots him a look. “I know, it’s pretty much the same. But she had been acting so weird. Always on her phone or on her laptop. Always dismissing me with lame ass excuses. I just assumed...” He trails off. “I just couldn’t handle it anymore… And I know I haven’t seen her or talked to her ever since but-”
“What? You haven’t talked to her ever since? Are you serious?” Roman nods, in shame. “You know she was probably just busy planning this whole thing right?” Once again, he nods, averting his gaze to the ground. “You need to go talk to her and make this right, Uce.”
It’s around 9PM, and you had just gotten up from the couch and headed to the kitchen, trying to find something to eat, when someone knocks on your door.
You go and open it, no questions asked, thinking it’d be Jimmy and Naomi. When your eyes lay on Roman, you almost feel like your heart would jump out of your chest.
“Roman, what-?”
“No, (Y/N), just… please, just hear me out, ok? Just hear me out and then you can make a decision.” Roman pleads, his whole demeanor almost desperate. You sigh deeply, moving from the door so he could enter.
You walk towards the living room, sitting down in the couch and pulling your knees to your chest, hugging them, as Roman sits down next to you, but still maintaining his distance. He sits there for a while, staring at his hands.
“I know it was you who organized the whole party.” He breaks out the silence, as he turns to face you, his voice slightly rough.
“Uh, yeah… It was nothing, I-”
“It was everything.” Roman cuts you off. “You got everyone there. My friends, my family, everyone.”
“I just… I just want you to be happy. That’s all I want, really.”
“I know, and I’m guessing all your weird behavior had to do with all that?”
“Yes… I was trying to keep everything a secret, so it’d be a surprise. I wanted to surprise you. I wanted you to have a different birthday. A memorable one. And I definitely didn’t want to ruin it. And I didn’t, and you had fun, so… mission accomplished.”
“I had fun, and it was definitely memorable, but… there was something missing.” You furrow your brows questioningly, urging him to continue. “There was someone missing.”
“Oh God, who did I forget? Was it a family member? Oh my god, I knew it, I-”
“It was you, (Y/N).” Once again he cuts you off, and you finally lock your gaze with his, seeing nothing but pure adoration there. “You were the only thing missing there to make my day perfect, but that’s entirely on me. And I’m so, so sorry.”
“No, I’m sorry. I’m at fault too… I should’ve acted differently. If I did, I could’ve saved us a lot of trouble.”
“Can I hug you? I just miss you so m-”
You don’t even let him finish, you launch yourself into his arms, hooking your arms around his neck and pulling him close.
“I missed you too, so much.” You sigh, finally feeling home. You pull back to face him, cradling his face in your hands. “Happy birthday, baby. I love you so much.”
“I love you too. So, so much. And I really can’t thank you enough for what you’ve done for me today.”
“You don’t have to. Seeing you happy is all the thanking I need.”
“You want to see me happy?” He asks, with a wide, kind of teasing smile.
“What kind of question is that? Of course I want to see you happy. What do you-”
“Then, marry me.”
You’re pretty much sure you’re hearing things. Roman didn’t just propose. No, he didn’t.
“W-What?”
“You heard me. I don’t know about you, but for me, having you as my wife, would make me the happiest man on this planet.”
“Baby, marrying you would make me the happiest woman on this universe.”
“Could you just do me a favor, then?” You nod. “Check that box, below the TV.”
You stand up, and head to the wood furniture, kneeling down on the floor and pulling the box out. Opening it, there’s a bunch of CDs and DVD’s on top. You look back at him and he motions you to keep looking.
Your motions come to a halt once your eyes lay on the small dark red velvet box. Picking it up, you couldn’t help but feel very emotional. Once you open it and see the ring, the tears start falling. The ring is so beautiful.
Suddenly, Roman is kneeling next to you. You hug him right away. Pulling back, you kiss him, deeply and hard. These days seemed ages. You were craving him… his touch… everything about him.
“Yes.”
Roman had the most beautiful, bright smile you’d ever seen on his face.
“This is, easily and by far, the most amazing birthday I ever had.”
Give me some feedback please?

What are your headcanons about Teddy?
An excellent question, thank you anon! Edited to go under a cut because it got too long!
Ellie:
Just a disaster to be honest
Victoire dumped him about halfway through her final year of school. He was honestly a bit relieved
Inexplicably stayed incredibly good friends with her sister Dominique and Molly, who is Dom’s best friend despite being three or four years younger than her. By the time he’s in his mid-20s they’re pretty much his only friends. He’s aware of how lame that is
Has 0 self awareness, falls easily to self pity, doesn’t believe in analysing his own feelings and likes to make everything into a joke rather than thinking too hard about it
Constantly beleaguered by Potter kids and hates them for it (but loves them)
A surprisingly talented artist, particularly illustration. He never intends to do anything with it but eventually Ginny and Harry convince him that he has to get a real job instead of living off his inheritance/grandmother/War Orphan benefits. His first official Art Job is illustrating a new set of textbooks Harry commissions when he takes over the DADA job at last. He’ll end up being the biggest name in magical art but still turns around to see who’s followed him when he walks into a room and everybody claps
Falls quite pathetically in love with Molly at some point, but takes forever to realise it. They live together for eight years before Dominique gets sick of waiting and proposes to Molly on his behalf. He’s genuinely confused because he thought he’d proposed to her the week they first got together and had just assumed she wasn’t interested when she didn’t start making any wedding plans and was too embarrassed to ask again. (What he actually said was, “We should get married,” and Molly said, “What, now?” and he said “No obviously, but at some point in the future, right?” and she said “Yes” and assumed a proper proposal would be forthcoming at some point in the future. It was not.)
Pearl:
Teddy has 3 occupations: super popular gaming youtuber, weed dealer to the Weasley kids, and part-time hotel manager
(The hotel is his flat and the only tenants are the Potter-Weasley kids)
Exceedingly popular despite having no idea what he’s doing 95% of the time
His WizTube channel ‘Where Wolf? There Wolf’ features a lot of him rambling about his life in the middle of playing popular magical video games as well as trying muggle video games and being absolutely baffled by their game mechanics
Does not know when to shut up, this has gotten him in trouble with his girlfriends and the Potter-Weasley parents more times than he can count
Dated Victoire briefly during her seventh year but it was stupid since she was in school and he wasn’t (he took this break-up a lot better than her)
Reconnects with Victoire when she’s 20 and they decide to give it another go; second time around they last for 4 and a half years and Teddy proposes to her, but a few months after the engagement they have a series of escalating blow-ups that lead to them calling off the wedding and breaking up for good
After this, the Weasley family is split down the middle between who will talk to Teddy and who won’t out of loyalty to Victoire; nobody knows the true reason they broke up except for them and both of them refuse to tell or to talk to each other so it’s a whole mess and Teddy has to stop coming to family get-togethers
This break-up is extremely publicized since Teddy’s a popular WizTuber and Victoire’s a fashion blogger/insta influencer + they’re both famous for their families + their internet fanclubs shipped them together and were devastated at the surprise break-up; the press hounds him for months and it’s just generally a circus
Second break-up he takes pretty damn hard since he had been ready to marry her; his girlfriends after Victoire are lowkey terrible and he gets drunk a lot more than he used to
Eventually they figure themselves out and become friends again although it’s very hard for a while there but if there’s one thing Hufflepuffs are good at, it’s resilience
(Despite all his drama) Teddy is genuinely a good time, good for a laugh, and always good for his word; he loves his grandma and the Potter kids more than anything and what truly snaps him out of his post-Victoire funk is the various, rather serious troubles the Potter kids get into that he wades into to help solve
Also has a truly abysmal fashion sense which no one is quite sure if it’s on purpose or not
Becca:
It’s a long time since I wrote my Teddy properly, which is why I hesitated in putting down my headcanons, but as it turns out I still like most of the basics I established, so here goes
He’s either a Gryffindor or a Hufflepuff (originally I wrote him as Gryffindor, but I’m considering moving him; he fits in either really, but I have a lot of Gryffindor Next Gen characters)
Teddy is so laid-back he’s horizontal. He takes life and the world as it comes, he’s steady and kind and almost never angry, but (initially at least) lacking in any type of ambition, and very disinclined to work hard at much
His main passion from childhood is magical creatures, and although Hagrid has retired by the time Teddy reaches third year, he still has his hut in the grounds and his herds of creatures in the forest, and Teddy is regularly to be found down there, even when he’s supposed to be somewhere else
He gets on very well with Charlie Weasley too, and spends the Easter of his fifth year out on the dragon reserve in Romania, which really solidifies his desire to work with magical animals
To the Potter kids, he’s like the best kind of big brother, always there to play games when they’re little, to plead their case (especially Lily’s) with their parents, and, as they get older, to listen, give advice (not always good) and tell them to stop being little dicks when they’re being little dicks
After Hogwarts, he drifts for several years, not really knowing what he wants to do. He gets temporary jobs, mostly bar work, but never stays in them long, because he much prefers his voluntary work with magical creature conservation charities and resents having to give up time from them to do paid work
I take the unpopular fandom line of actually liking him with Victoire, although the early years of their relationship are full of ups and very significant downs. Victoire is just about the only thing that can consistently and predictably get him riled up, which is annoying in itself, and it takes them a long number of years (and a period apart) to settle their tempestuous love down to something good and steady
Teddy does quite a lot of growing up through his 20s, and spends a bunch of time abroad working with his magical creatures; he actually decides at the age of about 24 that what he really wants to do is teach (CoMC of course) but there isn’t a job opening, and anyway he doesn’t want to teach at Hogwarts until all the Weasley/Potter kids have left, thanks
He gets his chance eventually at the age of 29 (Lucy Weasley is still at school, but she’s a 7th year and doesn’t actually take CoMC, so he figures it’s okay; he forgets until he’s there that he also has a young Malfoy cousin in 6th year who does take CoMC), by which time he has more or less sorted himself out (enough, at least), is back with Victoire, and even has a little girl called Jessica, who came along possibly before they had really intended to have children, but that does not affect how much they (and the rest of the family) love and cherish her
