CONCEPT DOODLES for an AU I dabbled in with a few friends after the winter king episode but kinda forgot about after the Fionna and Cake finale... I decided to revisit it and explore a little more after coming to terms with everything LOL... So, it's another "Winter King doesn't die immediately after his crown gets nuked" AU, but THIS TIME he's just dying really slowly (like Simon in the Betty episode) and ALSO joins Fionna, Cake, and Simon on their search for magic crowns. There's no logic behind this tbh, we just wanted to put him through The Horrors. And make them all friends. But mostly The Horrors. :) (he only gets to live as a treat, because I think he's funny).

White Blood, Red Teeth

a story where Luffy is constantly found by his friends having overdoses. It's a terrible behavior that started after Ace's death and everyone thinks it's a horrible coping method and finally gets together to admit him to a rehabilitation clinic. It's against his will, of course, so he resists and has withdrawal attacks and it's so bad that he goes on a hunger strike and loses a huge amount of weight and subsequently ends up with deteriorating health. A year and a half later, finally, after all this, the clinic considers him rehabilitated, although he is still underweight and doesn't eat as much as he should, but everyone is sure that Luffy will never look for drugs again. They are wrong and less than forty-eight hours after being released from the clinic, Zoro and Sanji find Luffy having another overdose in the bathroom of the apartment the three share. This time, the two decide to take a more aggressive approach and go after Luffy's drug dealer. Luffy is always talking about the guy, whom he calls Torao, who supposedly helped him cope with Ace's death. Whenever asked what he's on, Luffy responds "Torao's white blood", which Zoro and Sanji assume is the name of some homemade drug or something. Whatever it is, this Torao guy, is clearly taking advantage of Luffy's grief. to make a profit, so they stop at the drug dealer's address, almost knocking down the door, ready to give this guy 'Torao' a good beating and deliver him directly into the hands of Luffy's grandfather, a half-crazy police officer. They are surprised when the person who answers the door is a guy who goes by the name Penguin, who, strangely enough, lets them in easily after discovering that they are Luffy's friends. The house is nice, clean, airy, comfortable and cozy, everything you don't expect from a drug dealer's house. The place looks practically sterile in a hospital kind of way, which makes sense when they are finally introduced to the infamous Torao, a tall, malnourished guy who walks around on an IV. They confront 'Torao', who introduces himself as actually being Trafalgar Law, about the drugs he has been giving Luffy and the effects it has on their friend and, strangely, are surprised when: Law says he has never given drugs a Luffy and b: Law is surprised and then irritated when he is told about the "Toraos white blood" thing. Law then sighs and surprisingly takes off his shirt and displays his torso, covered in deep, fresh-looking bites, and proceeds to explain the craziest story of all time: Vampires are real and Luffy was turned into one the day Ace died. Law found him, injured and starving, and saved his life. He then explains that he is sick, his blood was infected from a young age with amber lead and he was living on borrowed time, so he had no qualms about feeding Luffy his blood. But they were both taken by surprise by the fact that, every time Luffy fed on him, his condition unexpectedly improved. But Law had no idea that his blood caused Luffy to overdose. He knew that there seemed to be a factor that made him somewhat dependent and Luffy was always lethargic in the first few minutes after feeding, but he never thought that his blood was acting as a drug for Luffy's undead organism. That's why in the year and a half that Luffy simply disappeared, Law, and his friends, simply thought that the vampire had gotten tired of helping Law and had left. They had been surprised when, last night, Luffy appeared out of nowhere on their doorstep and promptly attacked Law, feeding on him until Law was barely able to stay awake. Furthermore, in the time that Luffy was gone, Law's condition simply deteriorated terribly and he was practically convinced that he wouldn't make it until the end of the year. And now, they have to find a way to balance Luffy's feeding so that Law can survive, but in such a way that Luffy doesn't suffer side effects either. Everything becomes a mess when Robin, a mysterious friend of Zoro, gets involved, announcing that in fact, Law has been cursed by a witch.

continuing from the eggdad post i made a month ago, issue #60 (and #59. and #50) has given me so much more to think abt in like. one panel.

metal sonic WANTS to be the golden child so bad he wants to be the best kid ever and formerly, when it was really just him vs orbot + cubot and the general badniks, that was easy. like. they don't even know there's a competition, they aren't even trying, most of them aren't CAPABLE of trying (not as much as metal). he's winning by default

then comes belle. she's not competing with metal but she's interesting. eggman finds her interesting enough to extend a hand out for her to join her - she's fine work, intriguing, even if she's against him. he made her and look at her. she doesn't know there's a competition and she doesn't even want to win but she's neck and neck for eggman's interest`

that's not fair. that's not fair.

then the shadow androids. i can't remember who it was but someone pointed out how metal seems to be jealous, unhappy at least, that eggman is so proud of the shadow androids. i don't think he's shown as much interest in eggman's creations before - maybe the metal virus but that doesn't quite slot into a creation in terms of metal or belle or the androids - or maybe i'm wrong. even if he has, i think his 'interest' (bad way of putting it but i can't think of another word rn) is sort of built from this new competitor in his internal competition

he's never had to worry abt eggman finding someone, or something else, useful, bc he's always been the top choice. the golden child. the one who obeys his father to the end. the one who's programmed to do nothing else. belle's rattled him. eggman directed attention to her. she's not even on their side! why does eggman care?

why is eggman so proud of the shadow androids? he's right there.

i think his pursuit of tangle, even though it left eggman in an arguably vulnerable position (the city was recovering from shadow's chaos overload, there were just three intruders, sonic and co. were trying to find him), is indicative of this. get rid of the present threat. focus on her capture. do something right. prove to eggman he's the successful child. show him he's the best

he made metal to be.

it just makes eggman's line in issue #60 so much crueller - metal did his best, taking on sonic and his friends alone, trying to get rid of the problem, and all eggman can think abt is the wrong he's done. how he needs to be corrected.

how bad metal is at being the golden child when it's all he's for.

he's never going to be good enough. but his system won't let him realise that. his coding will convince him otherwise.

metal will keep trying because it's all he can do.

negan and maggie’s relationship is so. so fuckign fascinating to me. like. like…imagine teaming up with someone (repeatedly) who killed the love of your life and was also either directly or indirectly responsible for the death of your friends. imagine wanting nothing more than wanting to kill this person and feeling bitter and angry because your friends refuse to kill this person. you are so anguished over it that you leave with your son (whose father was murdered by this person), and then you come back, and all your friends seem to begrudgingly trust (or at least coexist) with this awful person. and this person is now trying to help you. he saves your life multiple times and also saves your son, the last living reminder of your murdered love. this person is asking to become the monster so you don’t have to. this person tells you that you need to come back. this person understands that you would kill him, and he might even let you. he lets you do the closest thing to killing him instead—he lets you turn him in, knife to his throat, and you’re leaving him, and your son won’t talk to you, and you come to the sudden realization that perhaps you need to go back for this monster. what the hell kind of dynamic is this

oc x canon (Rook Hunt x Lysander)

a lil ficlet of some pre-relationship lilyarrow feelings. literally just ~600 words of pining and yearning and longing. also Lysander is so stupid bless his heart <3

Lysander never thought himself to be the type to reach for more than he was given. Gratefulness was molded into him ever since he was a small kid, happy for a little bit of free time or for some extra money to their name. Even now, living in an old, run down house, he was just glad to have a roof over his head. 

All until now. He cherished every person he could call his friend and every gesture of friendship that came with it. 

Except for him. Because it suddenly turned out that simple friendship wasn't enough. It hurt, even, to be reminded of it, to think that it was all the two of them were.

For the first time in his life, Lysander wanted more than life had given him. No time spent together, no sign of affection or warm word was enough for him. He wanted to reach and reach, see just how much he was allowed to take for himself. 

He never expected love to be greedy.

In Lysander’s defence, it really wasn't his fault Rook was. Well. Like that.

Sweet. Attentive. Keeping close to Lysander like a shadow. Bestowing compliments on Lysander like roses. Waltzing all up into Lysander's personal space and letting Lysander do the same. It made one's mind run with ideas.

Sometimes Lysander felt almost guilty for taking every opportunity so readily. Rook was being a dear friend to him, yet Lysander kept twisting their moments spent together into a dream of romance, just so he could quieten the longing in his awful, awful heart.

He used the easy camaraderie between them to lay his head on Rook's shoulder or lap when they studied or read together. Sometimes he leaned over to fix Rook’s hair, allowing himself to linger with his touch. In turn, he let Rook braid his hair — Rook was surprisingly good at it, gently parting Lysander’s locks, filling the time with his easy words.

Lysander saw Rook whittling, once, delicate figurines of hares and deer running through grass. He asked Rook to teach him, smiled at the way his eyes lit up with excitement. Lysander was no stranger to welding a knife, yet he gave Rook a helpless look, letting him guide his hands. Rook’s hands were bigger than his, more rough too, making Lysander flush. Rook noticed, because of course he did, and immediately went on, comparing Lysander’s cheeks to sweet flowers. Lysander basked in his words like they were sunlight.

He’d left his cardigan in one of the classrooms — not on purpose, he swore! But Rook had noticed him shivering from the cold and in a blink of a second wrapped his jacket around Lysander’s shoulders, ever the gentleman. He wrapped his arm around Lysander's shoulder too, pulling him close to his chest, until Lysander’s whole body seemed to be aflame.

He'd forgotten to give the jacket back, took it all the way to Ramshackle. It wasn't on purpose either, at least he liked to think it wasn't, but he wasn't going to complain.

He pulls the jacket closer around himself, buries his nose in the collar.

What a bad friend he is, he thinks as he fills his lungs with Rook's familiar scent. The forest and warm earth and sweat. Lysander could as well drown in it, would be happy to do so.

He's not sure how to be a good friend again but maybe he'll start tomorrow morning by giving Rook his jacket back.

Meet The Dark Lord 2.0. It's body was severely torn by The Second Coming, but with a little bit of technology, spider children and pure spite it turned himself into an eldritch horror. Good for him!

If Kipperlilly DOES end up betraying Porter/Jace as part of a secret other scheme she has (whether good or evil) and it has to do with saving Lucy, I just know she’s going to be a bitch about it and pull a ‘sorry, I only save High Five Heroes’ before leaving her other friends to die or some shit. And then she will take her final form: Magic Betty from Adventure Time, betraying her allies and saving her frost gf at the expense of the world. It would also parallel what Ankarna is going through (‘your girlfriend’s out of town, it sucks’, becoming a little imperialist rage machine under the influence of Porter/Sunstone but not being able to fully turn on Lucy despite going against her values and turning into a violent weirdo). This is my wish. My dream. I am manifesting it. Magic Betty Kipperlilly I believe in you.
