Swirly the Naga helps Wally fall asleep with her powers (Welcome Home episode segment script)
(Cue new segment. Wally is dazed on Swirly's dark, orangey-sparkly chest. His eyes are opening and closing, almost as if dizzy, with white and orange spirals in them. Limp as a rag doll, he is cuddled by Swirly, the latter rocking him like a baby. The camera zooms away from Wally's face...Swirly adresses the viewer.)
Swirly (whispering): I tried to help Wally fall asleep with my powers...He could not sleep, tonight, so I came to help...(She looks down, concerned.)
But it seems even my powers cannot make him doze off...His mind is halfway to dreamland, see? (Close up of Wally's sleepy, dazed face. Swirly points towards his eyes offscreen)

Hmm...Wally is now very sleepy...But he needs more to go to Dreamland...(to the viewer) Hmmm...What does your mommy do when you can't sleep, neighbor? (Pause for an answer) She sings? I SHIFTED. - (SUCCESS STORY)
YUP. YOU READ RIGHT.
i can finally say this, with confidence (even though i’ve shifted to parallel realities before). i shifted to yet another parallel reality, and it didn’t even take much. i moved multiple times throughout the method, i was barely concentrated, and i definitely changed up what i was doing halfway through, yet i still shifted! so if you still think that ruins the whole experience and prevents you from shifting, get that thought out of your head. don’t force yourself to be uncomfortable just because you think moving or changing up your strategy fucks up the whole thing.
IT DOESN’T, FREN. Trust yourself.
anywho, time to get into exactly what i did last night, and what resulted from it.
so, around 1 am, i finally got into bed after playing some games and starting my hogwarts dr script. obviously, with my horrible sleep schedule, i did not immediately go to sleep. i did my nightly scroll on tumblr just to get motivated, and while i was reading i found this one method to get into the void. it’s called the pendulum method. i found it in a post by @pineapplepr1nc3ss888 so go check it out! essentially, you visualize a pendulum swinging back and forth, and you move your eyes left to right while they’re closed; basically a form of self hypnosis.
I remember being on my phone until around 1:14 am. This is pertinent.
when i finally decided that i wanted to get into the void state (because that was my initial intention), i put on a hogwarts express ambience video and started doing that method. it took no time before i started losing feeling in my hands. my body felt like it was sinking down into my mattress, and i felt pins and needles on the back of my whole body.
then…i got uncomfortable.
i was kinda laying like a stereotypical outline of a cartoon dead body. you know, one arm up, one arm down kinda deal. my elbow got sore, and i got up to move when the video was at 44:45. i glanced at the time, and guess what it was?
1:39 in the fucking morning.
“val, what does this have to do with anything?”
i’ll tell you. remember when i said i was awake at 1:14 am? if we do some math, we’ll see that there was no possible way i could’ve been awake at 1:14, because the ambience video would started at 12:55 am. maybe even 12:54. but i VIVIDLY remember looking at the time at both 1:10 am and 1:14 am.
so, in conclusion…I SHIFTED!
to further prove this, today i went into english class for the first time since the very first class we had. the two classes after that, i was sick, and every class after that, my teacher canceled. i manifested that!
but today, while i was in class, my teacher mentioned something that we talked about on monday. which is weird, considering i remember seeing that class was canceled again on monday. hmm…seems like another sign i shifted. just saying!
anyways…thank you for coming to my TED talk. i will be trying that pendulum method again!

A Little Bunny Plush in My Lap
Today was my first session with someone since my little break over December.
This person had been reading my posts for a little while and lots of other hypno writing here and there but this would be her first time actually being hypnotised.
Usually my subjects have experienced it in some way before, be it reading a script or listening to an audio, but not her.
I adore sessions and subjects like this, because they give me a space to provide a session that avoids so many of the pitfalls I fell into when getting into hypnosis, little things that made me think I was doing it all wrong and thus having a bad time of it.
She was a darling as I went through and outlined what we were going to do, a simple session in which she can experience trance and a little briefing and debriefing too.
As I was explaining my method, my intentions, giving her a better picture of how it could all feel, I could hear her beginning to soften.
It was so subtle, so delicate.
But as I built this safe environment for her, she was relaxing and loosening up.
She was such a treat as I brought her into the warmth of my embrace.
Hearing her voice slow and soften, knowing she was sinking into my words.
When it was time to bring her deeper into trance and onto my lap, I likened her to a little bunny plushie, so small and limp, nestled in my arms fast asleep.
She just floated with me, letting the sense memories of the space we made together rest on her mind.
When I brought her up, she was more than speechless. Even with her little yesses and exclamations, I could hear the smile on her cheeks.
She felt everything: the warmth, the embrace, feeling like a little bunny plush in my arms.
She was so lovely that, with her consent, I treated her to a little plsuhification, letting her body grow heavy and limp, cute lop ears atop her head, and a lovely embroidered smile.
As I was writing this, she messaged me something so sweet: she can't help but keep smiling.

Trance Processing
Sometimes I think people are so scared of thinking things during trance, of knowing things about how hypnosis works, or about getting distracted. But your hypnotized brain can come up with amazing things -- things you’d NEVER think about when you’re awake.
He was hypnotizing me on our date this weekend and it was just one of those times that I went DEEP -- that I felt myself shift out of reality and into a space I never really understand. There are times when this happens for me with a certain lucidity, very much like how people explain inducing lucid dreams from wakefulness, shifting into a dreamscape while you are aware of your state of consciousness changing around you.
I stared up through lightly wetted eyelashes, and they began to refract rainbows from the harsh lights dotting the ceiling. Twitching, glowing, otherworldly rainbows all overlaid on my vision. I thought in a spellbound moment: “People could see these and think they’re angels.”
I remembered a concept extrapolated from Maimonides, the famously rationalist Jewish philosopher: Angels are no more than the natural forces of the world. Not separate mystical beings, just all forces that make the universe function. Angels for why the wind blows, angels for all the tiny mechanisms involved in a blade of grass growing.
So I thought maybe Maimonides would say there WERE angels in my eyelashes, angels responsible for carrying my partner’s words into my head and hypnotizing me.
Then something in his voice hooked itself into my body, making me shudder, and making the idle thoughts melt away.
I really think there is something to embracing “trance processing” -- even Erickson in 1970 talks about how in hypnosis, people’s thoughts don’t stop but instead take on a dreamy, weird quality.
I think part of that is relaxing our urges to be hyper rational about hypnosis. I don’t think analysis itself is a problem -- and I don’t even think rationalizing is always an issue. I have gone plenty deep crunching on technique and theory in the midst of trance. But I think you can learn to develop a sense of wonder at what your brain is doing that will lead to a holistic view of trance as something mysterious and magical.
The reality is, you can’t anticipate what your brain is going to do in trance. And it’s amazing to me that it doesn’t have to fit a format or follow a script or sound sane. Angels in my eyelashes hypnotizing me? Come on. Obviously that’s weird. But it was a little poignant dream-thought in the middle of intimate time. And that’s what it’s all about -- not the stories you tell other people, but what your brain is actually doing, what you and your partner are actually creating together.

This hypnosis script is inspired by @sammsays' "If you wanna feel like a puppy for a bit, read this. Trust me." check them out if you're interested in high quality hypnosis content.
This is a little hypnosis script intended to be beginner friendly. If you are new to hypnosis: this will work best if you are lying/sitting comfortably, read at a slow/talking pace and don't have too many distractions around. Personally, I find these to be at their most effective when I imagine a voice reading to me at a slow pace. And if you're sceptical of if/how this will work, but still feeling a bit curious, well keep on reading and play along! I promise you will have a nice time and worst case scenario you can be amused by my methods.
So, that title got your attention, did it? That little burst of curiosity as your brain goes "Feel like a kitten? How's that going to work?" Well it is quite simple really, I plan to use my little script here to hypnotise you, bringing you into trance, then putting you into the headspace of a cute little kitten. Of course I will keep the specifics secret for now, spoiling it would ruin the fun after all. Oh? Does this talk of secrets spike your curiosity? If so, keep reading and you will have your answers in no time at all! Ok, now that the formalities are out of the way, let us begin!
After all you must be so curious about the secret.
But before I can reveal it, you must prepare, so focus on that curiosity for me.
It is a complex feeling, that anticipation, the desire to know, focus on that and let the curiosity build.
Feel that curiosity permeate your being.
Now focus on my words, the text you are reading and tuck that curiosity into the back of your mind.
Focus of course is something we do a lot in our day to day lives. Such as when we have to focus for work or school, those tasks get a lot easier when you focus.
Of course those are the more "boring" uses of focus.
My favourite use of focus is immersion, when you allow yourself to get deeply immersed in a hobby, such as a book, a game or roleplaying.
You are probably aware of how it feels, when you get so deeply focused and immersed that the world around you simply fades away.
Focus on that memory of immersion and feel yourself get pulled into it. The more you focus on my words, the more immersed in them you become.
Focus is essential for the secret I want to show you, and you have done very well at focusing so far, but you need more.
We can fuel your focus using the curiosity that has been building up in the back of your mind.
Your mind knows that the only way to satisfy your curiosity is to focus on my words.
With every mention of the secret your curiosity builds which only causes your focus to grow stronger.
And to help you along a little bit I will give you a little teaser. An insight into my methods, so you know to remain focused and to help build that curiosity.
This has been the first of three steps to prepare you for the secret and you have done excellently, focusing so well. Yes, three steps, a magical number, feel that curiosity build, strengthening your focus.
I promise you it will be worth it; this is a very good secret.
You are very focused now and I can direct this focus to help relax your body.
Our bodies contain a complex weave that allows us to control it, you know its threads as neurons. However, interwoven with this weave there is another kind of thread, that which keeps your body alert and ready to act, you know these as tension.
Focus on your body and feel that tension, it would just be so nice if we could just remove it.
Luckily, using your focus, we can better see your individual body parts, allowing me to make out these threads of tension. I can then pull out these threads, leaving your body nice and relaxed.
And when all that tension is gone, it will be so much easier to focus on my words. As if there are less threads weighing down your focus.
Focus on your feet and feel as I pull out the tension. Feel as your feet, so tired from walking around so much, grow heavy and relaxed, as if they are placed under a weighted blanket.
This relaxing feeling travels up as you focus on your calves and I pull on the tension, the threads simply allowing themselves to get gathered in my hand.
Your thighs and hips are next, focusing as I pull, and you relax.
Your focus follows my words to your abdomen and chest as I pull and you relax, your breathing becoming nice and calm.
Focus on your shoulders now, tension pulled out before you realise it, feeling so nice and heavy and relaxed.
Your arms are next, relaxing as I pull and you focus, not a single bit of tension left.
Then of course are your hands, they relax as I pull, yet they remain scrolling, doing so automatically at the pace that is perfect for you. The only thing you must do is focus on my words and follow my direction.
Your body feels so heavy, yet there is more tension, and you focus on your neck as I pull out the tension.
Finally, your facial muscles relax, lips perhaps settling into a content smile and your eyelids growing heavy, yet they do not close as I pull the final bits of tension from your body.
Your curiosity and focus won't allow your eyes to close, instead they blink as needed, eyes dutifully following my words.
And that was step two of three! You are so close now, with your body so nice and heavy and relaxed, free of tension, freeing up even more focus for me to work with.
Speaking of that tension I collected all the threads into a little ball of yarn in your mind, would you please mentally bat that away for me?
Thank you. You are doing so very well, such a good, focused subject. Now let us continue.
For the final step I will have to unravel your mind. Oh yes, you might have forgotten about that. So deeply focused you did not notice how heavy your mind has grown, how your thoughts have slowed and how difficult it is to focus on anything but my words.
Of course, unravelling your mind is not easy, or well, it shouldn't be, but I can do a lot with your focus on my words. Our minds are incredibly complicated weaves, tapestries of us and who we are, our thoughts and beliefs, truly beautiful works of art. However, our minds are not perfect, stray thoughts and ideas leave empty threads hanging out, which are normally collected and woven in by our focus.
And with all your focus directed at me, there is nothing to weave those threads in. Nothing to stop me from simply getting close and...
Pull out a piece of your mind
And with every thread I pull, it exposes more threads deeper in your mind. With every thread I pull the less thoughts there are to occupy your mind.
And as your mind empties, you begin to feel so nice, my words beginning to fill that space, making it all the easier for me to...

Don't believe me? Fine, let me show you the five essential aspects of a kitten, starting at the top, going down.
Five, kittens are curious, they always poke their cute little noses into anything that interests them, especially if it's something strange. And you are so very curious, aren't you? It is what brought you here after all! You are a kitten.
Four, kittens are simply happy. Happy in a simple way, no thoughts needed, blissfully mindless. And you are just so happy and mindless, aren't you? My words are the only thing inside your head after all! You are a kitten.
Three, kittens are playful. Playing around with whatever they feel like, such as a ball of yarn or two. And you of course have been playing with that ball of yarn, haven't you? It is just so irresistable after all! You are a kitten.
Two, kittens are adorable. Curious, happy little creatures playing around with whatever they feel like. And you are so curious, happy and playful, aren't you? You are so incredibly adorable after all! You are a kitten.
One, kittens meow! An adorable, playful, curious little kitten cannot help but meow to express their happiness. And you are an adorable, playful, curious, happy kitten, aren't you? Feel that need to meow build!
And when I next tell you to meow, that need will become too great, and you cannot help but let it out!
Be it loud or quiet, in your mind or out loud.

I am about to wake you up and restore you to normal and this trance will become a pleasant memory, with no permanent hold over you. Alternatively, you can choose to forget all about this trance, leaving with a generally happy impression, not sure why, perhaps leaving you curious to explore it again later. I hope you have enjoyed yourself. If left by yourself you will eventually wake on your own, so if you want to simply enjoy this happy kitten feeling, you can stop reading past this point and simply soak it in, meowing away. But if you want to get pulled back up, keep reading.

It is very easy to return to a normal state, I could do it quickly, you could do it quickly yourself, but it is nicest to be pulled up slowly by another. I will simply count up, from 1-10 and on 10 I will tell you to "wake up" and you will receive a nice little burst of energy, returning to normal.
1.
Ball of yarn gone, your mind weaving itself back into its normal shape, the memory of this trance either weaving itself along with your other memories, or simply getting discarded, your choice.
2.
You can think again, though it is difficult and slow.
3.
Threads connecting to your body, letting you feel it again like normal.
4.
Most of the threads in your mind are in place, letting thoughts connect and hold on, granting structure and making your head feel lighter
5.
Threads have fully connected to your arms and legs, wiggle them around a bit, feeling nice as you shake out the trance.
6.
You can move the rest of your body again, the threads connecting and returning control.
7.
Senses returning you grow aware of your surroundings.
8.
Your mind speeds up, final straggling threads finding their place.
9.
Your head now light as all the threads are back in place, back to normal speed, feeling nice and refreshed, ready to feel that burst of energy on...

Hello! I hope you had a good time! I am a bit new to all this, so I hope this was effective. Any feedback is appreciated! Be it telling me what worked, what didn't work, how you think I could improve, if you liked it and if you want me to do more. This was a personal project of mine, mostly writing it to see if I could, specifically picking a kitten focus because I noticed a lack of that and thought I might as well try filling that niche a bit. Hi babes!!♡
I've been meaning to sit down and write about this, and now that it's almost been a month, I think I'm finally ready to share it. On April 9th, 2025, during my final yoga session before moving cities, I shifted for the first time—fully, awake.
My yoga teacher is not only a licensed hypnotist but also an active shifter and shifts through hypnosis. I'd been asking her for tips here and there, and when I mentioned it was my last session with her, I asked if she'd be open to guiding me through hypnosis to see if I could shift that way. She agreed.
We started the session as usual—yoga first to relax the body, then meditation to quiet the mind. By the time I lay down for the hypnosis, I was deeply relaxed. She began counting up to twenty as I took slow, deep breaths, and then she asked me to envision a place where I might find myself.
Before we started, she gently reminded me not to be discouraged if I didn't successfully shift this time, but I confidently told her it would work because I've decided I'm shifting.
And that's when things stayed to change.
Normally, when I try shifting, I experience strong symptoms: white flashing lights, tingling limbs, spinning room sensations—basically my body screaming, "You're doing something." But this time? Nothing. Not a single symptom. And I think that's because I was already completely relaxed from the yoga and meditation. The usual "symptoms" are just the body entering a meditative state—not actual signs of shifting. This time, I didn't need them.
Instead, I blurrily started seeing something. It was a lake. My vision felt out of focus—like when your camera lens won't quire adjust—but the sensations came in first. I felt the warmth of the sun on my skin, the heat soaking into me. I could feel the texture of the grass between my fingers and toes. The blurry shapes started to sharpen. I heard birds chirping. I heard the gentle sound of the lake water lapping against the shore.
I looked down and saw myself in a while silky dress. It flowed softly around my body, light and airy. I didn't feel amazed or shocked. I just felt...at peace. Like this was my normal life. Like this was just another afternoon in my DR.
Here's the thing: this wasn't a DR I had scripted or planned for. This place came to me on its own. A space my subconscious had created, and it welcomed like I'd always belonged there.
After sitting beneath the tree for a few moments, soaking in the stillness, I stood and walked toward my house, which was only a few feet away. It looked like a palace—but made entirely of see-through glass. At the front entrance was a glass elevator. I stepped inside and saw thirteen glowing buttons. I pressed the one for the 11th floor. As the elevator ascended, I saw the lake growing smaller beneath me. I stepped out onto the terrace and took in the view one more time from above before walking inside.
The first room was huge. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in an endless stream of golden light. The walls were creamy, soft, and warm in color. Tall decorative pillars (like the ones you see in palaces—those grand marble columns) framed the space. And hanging on the walls were paintings.
One in particular caught my eye: a giant pink butterfly, glittering as if dusted with stars. It didn't look painted—it looked alive. I remembered, in that moment, I had painted it. These were my paintings. This was my art studio. There was a canvas in the middle of the room, half-finished, waiting for me to return to it. (My DR memories kicked in)
Then I saw movement by the window—a cat. Orange fur. Piercing green eyes. He stared directly at me, and the memory returned like a whisper: he was a stray I had taken in and named Reed, no idea why, just felt right.
I continued walking and found the staircase—made entirely of glass, but not just clear glass. The steps shimmered in all different colors like a rainbow when the light hit them. Climbing down, I saw mirrors along the walls of the stairwell. And when I looked into them, I froze for a second.
Because the face looking back at me wasn't the one I see in the CR.
I had long, curly hair, olive skin, hazel eyes. My features were different—but not unfamiliar. I didn't feel like a stranger. I looked like someone I had always been.
When I reached the ground floor, I saw a big white piano near the entrance. I instantly remembered—I played piano here and I was good at it. Like really good. It was something I loved and did often. (I guess in that reality I was very artistic and multitalented)
The rest of the space was open-plan—the living room, dining area, and kitchen all flowed in one beautiful, airy expanse. Everything looked clean, soft and light, but still had that romantic, old-world charm. Like an 1800s castle had been reimagined through a dream filter.
When I finished wandering the house, I stepped back outside, walked down to the lake again, and sat under the same tree. Surrounding me were white, yellow, and lilac flowers (I don't even know their names—but they were delicate and wild and beautiful). I leaned back, tilted my head toward the sky, and just let the sun kiss my skin.
And then—I started hearing her voice again, my yoga teacher, counting down to one. (She started counting again after 30 minutes)
I opened my eyes, and for a moment, I didn't recognize the room I was in. I sat up slowly, trying to ground myself in what felt like a completely different world. I looked around in silence for a few minutes before asking her how long it had been. She said a little over thirty minutes.
And even after that...it didn't fully register. Not right away. I didn't have the dramatic reaction I'd always imagined. I wasn't jumping or crying or screaming, "I did it!" Instead, I found myself quietly doing something later that night, and it just...hit me. "Oh. I shifted."
It was calm. Anticlimactic, even. But in the most beautiful way.
And honestly? That's the biggest thing I took from it. Shifting isn't supposed to feel theatrical or explosive. It's not always a fairytale moment. It's natural. It's literally just you existing in another state. It felt real because it was real. As real as me sitting here writing this post.
The more we obsess over symptoms or dramatize our DRs or put shifting on a pedestal, the more we disconnect from the truth: it's not fantasy. It's your mind going where it's always been capable of going. It's already part of you.
Shifting is the most magical experience—but in the quietest, most matter-of-fact way.

Shifting isn’t about positivity or method, It’s about mental & emotional state
✅Factors that seem to actually help shifting (even if often misunderstood or ignored):
1. Immediate emotional state (calm ≠ joyful)
-> My data shows that calm, serenity, or even gentle sadness (low-impact but stable emotions) support shifting more than highly intense “positive” emotions.
→ This challenges the idea that you must be euphoric or “super motivated” to shift.
->It's more about the emotional state and your relationship to it


2. Mental surrender (low cognitive overload)
-> Many people shift without detailed visualization or script, which suggests that a light, relaxed mind matters more than complex techniques.
→ Those who shift “on command” are often those who can let go mentally.
3. Relaxed physical state
-> Many experiences happen during deep relaxation, light sleep, or hypnosis-like states.
→ It lowers mental alertness and helps surrender.

4. Internal emotional stability
-> You don’t need to be “positive,” but your emotions shouldn't be too turbulent. You can be sad and still be mentally at peace.
→ This debunks the cliché of “good vibes only.”
5. Realistic expectations (no excessive pressure)
-> Many succeed when they stop “desperately trying”, the classic: “I shifted when I let go.”
→ Emotional detachment from the goal is surprisingly effective.
1. The specific method used (Julia, raven, etc.)
Factors that have little to no real impact (or are heavily overestimated):❌
-> People shift using all kinds of methods, even just by falling asleep with no clear technique.
→ What matters is the method’s effect on your inner state, not the method itself.


2. Strong conscious intention or obsessive repetition
-> “Trying too hard” with endless affirmations can overload the mind.
→ It’s the soft, unconscious integration of the intention that works, not forced focus.
3. Being positive or highly motivated
-> My polls show many regular shifters weren’t in a hyper-positive state.
→ Emotional calm or even neutrality can be enough.
4. Highly detailed scripting
-> Many shift without a script, or with just a simple keyword.
→ Structured imagination is optional, not essential even if it can help.

5. Constant belief level/no doubt
-> Belief plays a role, but it naturally fluctuates without blocking shifting, which is surprising .
→ You just need some openness to possibility, not 100% belief all the time
6)Being healed or trauma free
-> Some parts of the community (especially on Tumblr or TikTok) promote this toxic belief that you must be “healed,” trauma-free, and emotionally stable 24/7 to deserve or succeed at shifting.
→ That’s not true.
Neurodivergent people, trauma survivors, and those still healing shift all the time. Shifting doesn’t reward emotional perfection, it often happens despite pain, as long as your emotional state in the moment is grounded enough to allow openness.


Summary:
The myth: Shifting is all about belief, intention, and the right method.
The reality: It’s your overall inner state,calm, mental fluidity, and lack of pressure, that matters most.

Beach induction and Injury care as caring for emotional hurt Hypnosis
The following is an original hypnosis script by me, which includes a beach themed induction and injury care as a metaphor for emotional hurt. The two sections are separated by a line break so that if you are only interested in one half it is easy to find the correct section.
The first half is a beachy induction, which doesn't really have to do with the injury care portion, but they are put together just so that there is an induction and the injury care suggestions will be read when you are already in trance and sink in more deeply. This part focuses on ocean imagery and the sound of waves.
The injury is described to be minor and not painful, and is described as little as possible, in order to avoid creating feelings of being hurt. The imagery of it being taken care of is focused on instead. This section will implant the trigger phrase "You are worthy of love" in order to be able to feel the feelings of being cared about and worthy of love whenever you need to feel that.
The last section ties the first two together and helps to walk you back up from the trance.
Imagine that you are at the beach.
