Rolan and Dammon In Winter with Human Tav:

Rolan: He entirely ignores his extra body heat existing. He is a big baby in the cold, constantly complaining, so Tav knits him a tail covering to wear the second there is one (1) snowflake in the air. He asks Tav to sit on his gloves and socks to warm them up before they leave; he [secretly] knows he could do it himself and have better results but does this so Tav's scent is on all his stuff.

Dammon: He revels in his extra body heat, and he secretly loves places that get a lot of snow. The cool air is welcoming after long days of working near such a constant, intense heat source. He will frequently bundle Tav up in clothes before taking them out, and the moment Tav's cheeks get pink from the cold he'll take his own coat off and layer it on Tav. He will hold Tav's gloves before they go out to transfer his body warmth to them to make sure their hands stay warm during whatever walk they're taking.

A thought on tiefling horns:

I feel like I’ve seen this somewhere before (probably somewhere else on this site)

But imagine baby tiefs with whatever the fantasy equivalent of pool noodles is on their horns (maybe small pillows? Some rags/cloths?) so they don’t hurt themselves or others. Y’know, like goats??

Random BG3 Headcanons (#3) -Touch Starved-

Like there are so many characters that are touched starved, just a few people that came to mind and thoughts.

Astarion doesn’t even realize it that he’s touched starved for genuine affection. Not the dalliances for Cazador the fodder he brought back to the mansion. He didn’t even recognize the touches when Tav and slept with him that first time. It wasn’t until they were inspecting the ritual on his back slowly tracing fingers over the thick gnarled scars. Their touch was soothing….healing the horror of what happened a little bit a start to a long journey. Astarion finds himself relaxing, leaning into the gentle strokes and fingers running through his hair as they relax for the night reading a book.

Karlach poor girl is stark raving mad for touch but the fear of burning someone alive with the touch will do that to you. She gets jealous seeing others being able to touch so freely but it doesn’t last long as instead of turning it to anger Karlach loves vicariously through them. She will ask whoever if it is okay to describe it just to help her remember and for private stress release times. When her and Tav finally can touch it’s overstimulating and can’t feel it always so because her system is over drive. Karlach is in such a daze unaware until one morning tangled in arms and legs of Tav that it is the best thing ever. She loves holding hands and will hug anyone willing.

Rolan touched starved because of a wall he put up keeping himself and Lia and Cal safe. There was not much time for personal relations when he spent all of his time studying learning spells and watching his siblings. He knew he would get around to finding a mate but one thing lead to another and he forgot about a spouse, a fling or even any affection that wasn’t platonic. One day Tav placed a flower crown on his head hands grazing over his horns causing a shiver down his spine startling him. Just a small gentle touch and he grew flustered why did that feel good? He didn’t need their affection with all the trouble Tav had caused him already. This bright smile amongst the doom surrounding them. Absolutely melts with fingers being dragged up and down his arms and back, his tail wrapped around Tavs leg.

Dammon didn’t realized he was touch starved until he received a hug from Tav after helping Karlach. That the more he saw Tav as they visited often to have weapons repaired enjoying their company enjoying their open nature. Carefree with their forms of appreciation patting him on the back making him lean into the touches. Throughly enjoys shoulder and neck massages after a long day at the forge.

Same anon, uh the ideas aren't anything too crazy or spectacular but they are

Rolan with a tiefling who wasn't raised around other tieflings and has no idea about tiefling biology having Rolan knot in them maybe even during their heat/rut. Potentially with Rolan explaining things to them while talking dirty.

The second is just wild magic resulting in someone getting tied up probs Rolan and misuse of magic continues.

Final one would be him masturbating because he saw Tav get entangled by Jaheria found it hot and he's not handling his pinning well. Maybe even steals a piece of clothing from their laundry basket or their scented body oil to aid him.

So my HCs:

Alright, I'm actually very confident in this first one bc-- that's kinda how my tiefling Sorc Tav Coren is playing out. She's not a virgin, but she's an orphan that didn't grow up around a high population of tieflings. (Her first lover was some smooth d-k half-elf) So the knowledge she has to go on is her own tiefling AFAB body and a gist knowledge of male tiefling bodies-- in the same way you might get a sex education from hearing your friends talk at school. Basically hearing your friends talk about dinosaurs and going to a museum and seeing a dinosaur are two vastly different perspectives.

-> Rolan's insecure and probably shy - especially at the beginning of a physical relationship. But he is a wizard and thusly nothing but a wealth of knowledge. He will make sure his partner is well informed on his equipment and how it works, but I think it would take some time for him to intentionally knot a partner-- especially one that has not experienced it before. He'll take it slow and work them up to it. He's surprisingly sweet like that. And he will ask. He likes clear communication. But when he's comfortable (read: more confident) this can evolve into dirty talk

-> with that said: an established relationship during a rut/heat cycle (these will eventually trigger each other so they're simultaneous) the knot is implied. It's kinda the name of the game. We're talking: mating press, probably marked/bitten, and absolutely stuffed...with his knot of course. Even if they don't want children, they're playing the breeding game. To quote my buddy @faerunsbest LET THEM GET STUCK (btw, I am writing this is my Coren fic)

Now about Rolan being tied up.

-> I see Rolan as kinda up tight with a lot of his issues stemming from feeling a lack of control in his life so I personally don't see him being super comfortable with any sort of bondage. But he might be willing to try it in a trusted established relationship. Idk, I think Rolan on his own is a little too vanilla to explore that on his own

-> I do think he'd be willing to misuse magic. I mean what's the point of spells if you don't use them?? Amiright, Lia?

~Mage Hand, Alter Self, Invoke Duplicity, Darkness, illusion spells- the list goes on. I think the key with these is that they still allow a lot of control on his part. Mage Hand- who couldn't use another hand or two now and then? Alter Self: shorter nails, deeper ridges, no ridges, extra tail, no tail, feathers, various alterations to genitals- endlessly possibilities. Duplicates- self explanatory. Why have 1 Rolan when there could be two? I think he'd be really into watching his partner take him. Then there are the sensory spells...this could go on forever.

However in Last Light Inn there would have been a wash room where a sweaty post battle Tav could have bathed and lots of opportunity for a particular undergarment to go missing. Along with a Rolan that's hiding off in one of the rooms, desperately fisting himself while holding the garment in question to his face. He didn't realize he was this bad off. This desperate. This is truly a low point for him in his eyes and he's going to probably go into some self degradation bc he's ashamed of himself. He's not going to give it back though.

But yes, in my headcanons a tiefling tail is super sensitive and has a wide range of ways to show emotions. A tiefling tail accompanying a hug means the hug is extra special - like lovers or family or close friends. This person means a lot to the tiefling. A tiefling tail around them without the rest of the body engaging in a hug could either anxious (stay close in a crowd or not let them leave yet), or casual (around friends or family to show a small display of affection). A tiefling tail involved with hugging shows a deep display of trust, as they are easily dislocated and (as I said before) extraordinarily sensitive like a cat tail.

“Help Daddy” baby Marika said and pulled at the leg of his trousers. “Up!” 

Rolan was sitting by his desk in his office, trying to figure out the last details of a spell he had been working on for a while. Well, technically it was an improvement of an already existing spell and he just needed to get one more equation out of the way.

But that didn’t matter. If Marika wanted up, she would get up. Faye had made plenty of remarks about him spoiling Marika. So be it. He grabbed her and placed her on his lap. 

“Help Daddy work” she said and grabbed onto the quill he was holding. 

He distracted her for a moment with a tickle while he replaced his own notes with blank pieces of paper. She squirmed on his lap and giggled. 

“Alright then, what kind of spell are we making?” Rolan said when the giggles died down. 

“Green!” Marika said, which was her current favourite colour. 

“Green” he mused and tapped the paper in front of them. “Are you writing this down?” 

Since three year olds can't write, Marika made a scribbly line and a circle. 

“Very good” Rolan continued. Marika's face lit up. His heart fluttered. “What more should the spell do?” 

Marika's brows furrowed and looked like she was thinking very, very hard. Rolan didn’t have to think very hard about what would follow. 

“Sparkles” Marika said when she had thought for a while. 

“Ah, sparkles, a fine choice” he said and tapped the paper again. Marika made another scribbly line and a triangle. 

When Marika was satisfied with her ‘notes’ she looked up at him expectantly. He did a simple prestidigitation and conjured a shower of green sparks. The child let out a squeal of delight and clapped her hands. It was probably the tenth time he had conjured the same thing for her in less than three days, it didn’t matter. When Marika's eyes lit up, mesmerised by the sparkles, it was the only thing that mattered in the whole world. He pulled her close to his chest. 

“Daddy best” Marika said. 

“I love you” he said and placed a kiss on top of her head.
