how could anyone ever say natalie didn’t love misty when she knew misty broke the transponder on purpose, kept it a secret to protect misty until her last breath, drove across the state with misty despite knowing that misty tampered with her car, forgives her again and again and again, and ends up laughing about every insane thing misty does to her in the end (*cough cough* playfully teasing misty about the hidden camera and smiling about it when misty eventually finds natalie and refuses to leave her…) oh! and she looks at her like THIS.

to me, nat truly is the only yellowjacket who truly respects jackie after her death. everyone else has such a skewed view of her but i believe nat sees her for who she truly was, their captain. she’s the only one to still view her as that, she may have taken on the role of leader yet she emulates jackie’s actions every step of the way.

even as she’s eating her, this respect is still so sickeningly present. she sits at jackie’s feet — which is seen as one of the most respectful things to do within multiple religions (also there’s some jesus washing the feet of his disciples thoughts that i can’t fully word coming to mind). the feet are also one of the parts of the body with the least meat, it’s as if she respected jackie too much to devour her entirely despite the fact she had to in order to survive.

she’s the only one to give her a true “burial” after the bacchanal, bringing her back to the plane and actually thanking her for keeping them alive. even after jackie has been practically dehumanised by their actions, nat still attempts to treat her with the respect she believes her captain deserves.

Please let Natalie have close relationships with other female characters in Season 3‼️‼️

Nat is arguably the only character that does not have any close female friendships in the show. She’s close with Travis, Coach Ben, and Kevyn (and that ginger guy from the pilot episode, Rich?); all male characters. I get that she is likely more distrusting of other women because of her strained, neglectful relationship with her mother and she seeks out more male attention/validation because of her abusive relationship with her father. And I get that she is subconsciously pursuing toxic relationships/friendships with men because that is what is familiar to her due to her father (codependency and mistreatment with Travis and becoming involved with Kevyn even though she is in a very emotionally vulnerable state and clearly not ready for it).

But now that Natalie has been in the wilderness in a matriarchal dynamic for quite some time in the teen timeline, I want to see her slowly begin to embrace femininity and connection with women (no, I don’t mean she has to dress and act “girlie” because that is not what femininity is).

So far, her relationships with the other girls have been marked with hostility and competition. Nat argues with Taissa over freezing out Allie, she fights with Jackie about Travis, she competes with Lottie over the Wilderness and the direction the group is heading in, she expresses general disdain for Misty (with some occasional affectionate moments), and now she’s presumably going to have conflict with Shauna over leadership. Natalie clashes with the group and isolates herself just as the girls begin to embrace a matriarchal system led by Lottie, where shared rituals and communal female bonds take center stage. I love toxic yuri don’t get me wrong, but I would love to see Nat lean into this female community a bit more.

We get Taissa and Shauna, Shauna and Jackie, Misty and Crystal, Lottie and Laura Lee, Melissa and Gen, Taissa and Van (although that’s definitely a lot more than a friendship). Where’s Nat’s female bond??

I want Nat to find safety, vulnerability, and nurturance with women! I want her to distance herself from male validation and find female connection! Even if it’s just in the wilderness and then, when she is rescued returns to a patriarchal society where her father wound will inevitably reopen, she will return to her old ways.

My hopes of Nat connecting on a deeper level with the other women on this show is fading rapidly with these new Season 3 promos. I think isolation will continue to be Nat’s crutch and her conflicts with the other female leads will only increase. But a girl can hope. And I hope for Nat having at least one connection to another woman that isn’t contentious. Is that too much to ask?

ok no i need to bitch because i have remained positive and hopeful throughout most of !!-era because i believed that happyele loved their characters and wouldnt deliberately go out of their way to butcher them but time and time again i have been proven wrong on this fact. and seeing the way theyre doubling down on having ibuki, a ryukyuan kid from okinawa, join a traditional "wa" japanese unit that embraces mainland japan traditions when the mainland has continuously tried to make okinawa theirs and disregard the ryukyuan identity WHILE ALSO LITERALLY HAVING EICHI COLONIZE OKINAWA IN ATLANTIS its all just becoming too much. I am no expert when it comes to these topics so do not take my word when it comes to jp culture, conflict and the likes, but knowing how poorly happyele has continuously time and time again treated their indigenous (or middle eastern in adonis's case) cast i cannot see this going well. Not to mention how having ibuki join akatsuki goes against everything the three of them have built up and the whole POINT of their unit and that for them to even fucking put this garbage in the story they had to make keito PAINFULLY ooc to pull it off because NO OTHER REALITY WOULD ALLOW IT!!!!! theyre taking akatsukis developments and throwing it out the window in an attempt to make them something "new" and more profitable while also using a beloved group that so many have spent so much of their time loving and supporting into nothing but a scapegoat for their imperialist propaganda im so unbelievably angry that theyre doubling down on this. im so angry that theyre stupid enough to let shit like this pass

and im sure youve probably read posts explaining the aktk thing better than i ever couldve, esp considering im not an aktkP, but im also writing this to tell the fans of big units to Stop Giving In. do not feel safe just because happyele is scared of losing you, because I used to be an undeadP before getting into switch and the reason i STOPPED producing them was because they viewed the unit as nothing but a money-maker machine and would completely disregard their developments for the sake of feeding into tropes that fans liked and they cared more about yaoibait than they did the characters themselves. They tossed out any growth rei and ritsu had in opperetta for the sake of bringing back sakuma brothers conflict in that painfully annoying la mort story and theyre gonna keep doing this shit until fans tire of it. valkyrie, eden and knights are three super popular units with upcoming events, and i seriously need you to not give happyele any of your time or money because they do not deserve it.

even with switch, a rather unpopular unit, theres been total garbage pulled. in switchs case i think its safe to say that akira does genuinely really care for natsume and tsumugis relationship considering thats basically all that man even includes in his switch stories, but he never really knows what to do with sora. And i feel like he doesnt really care. Like sure i can sit here and be like "well at least MY favs seem to be doing alright" but thats purely because they keep spoon-feeding us crumbs of the units popular ships so we wont complain. i still really like their dynamic and i strongly disagree with alot of fans saying natsume and tsumugi have been OOC lately, but like. Look at sora man. i dont mind him having a little gf in the virtual world, i dont mind him growing more independent, i dont mind him relying less on his synesthesia. but the executions are just. Theyre painful. with the synesthesia thing esp bc synesthesia doesnt just go away. You couldve easily made a simple point of "you cant always rely on your synesthesia to know how people feel" because that is TRUE! but that would de-fetishize this idea these people have of synesthesia being some Magical Ability and not just a neurological condition. And with the sora being more independent; this is also something thats been needed for his story! natsume and tsumugi would often coddle him way too much, and sora himself would complain about being treated as a kid. But like. sora has started to feel so disconnected from switch in a way.....? and this has even been a point of conflict in stories, sora not knowing how to partake in ntmgs conversations because theyre too difficult, or being sad that ntmg never have time to hang out with him. But instead of working on these things, they just. keep having sora hang out with people outside of natsume and tsumugi? who have practically become a package deal at this point?? literally having sora join a NEW UNIT without natsume or tsumugi????????? i dont know. im rambling but i just wanted to get this out there. Theyre my specialest guys in the whole entire world and i just want to make people more cautious of thinking "well the aktk thing wouldnt happen to MY fav unit! they wouldnt butcher MY favs!" because they very much can. even if theres an aspect youre still hooked on, other factors are visibly crumbling because management cares only about what will bring the most revenue, and not what is best for the character

i cant help but feel the reason theyre pulling this shit with akatsuki is because they felt as though they somewhat got away with it with Double Face and raked in some extra cash because kohaku ended up popular, so now theyre doing that again but taking it to the next extreme. its disheartening

anyway. i will continue to draw and enjoy ensemble stars. But i wont be supporting them financially anymore as they clearly do not care about fans at all. if i desperately want some merch ill just buy it second-hand. And while im at it, i need you people to stop telling enstarries to get into some other idol franchise instead as if the main problem here isnt how disgustingly predatory they are. Happy Elements were THE biggest joseimuke franchise, making the most money out of all their competitors, and it still wasnt enough. they still didnt respect their fans. when the fans would continuously respect their wishes. Enstars is like the only fandom ive seen that doesnt share leaks for example, yet this courtesy means nothing to them. Corporations arent your friends, never have been and never will be. those characters arent real, they do not have feelings of their own. Just got done with the yellow jackets scene where shauna gave birth. Genuinely so sad. It really shows how much pain she went through in those woods, and how that moment specifically STILL affects her. That was the first, and only baby she ever let herself get close too. Even though yes at first and during most if not all of her pregnancy she didn't want him, in her dream she learned to love him, actually felt him, felt the terrifying fear of losing him when he wouldn't feed and she couldn't feed him and then feeling the insane amount of hope when he FINALLY breastfeed. "I can't wait to see the person you turn into" "it's you an me against the world kid". She got the illusion of having her baby just to have it ripped away from her in the worst way possible. To be back on the make shift, dirty birthing table, surrounded by girls who don't know what their doing, being told after everything she believed was true, after all the PAIN she's been through he's gone. When she finally realizes her baby is gone she then lays it to rest, once again repeating the phrase "it's you and me against the world kid". Absolutely devastating.

The way it affects her relationship with callie too in the future, we can see her so clearly keep her away. She refuses to get close because she cannot imagine losing another baby. She admits it several times in the show, but we can so clearly see it when she finds Lotties honey farm retreat thing and she is tasked to take care of the goat. Genuinely such a misunderstood and complicated character

if you point blank don't listen to rap you should examine that and if you only listen to white rappers you should examine that and if you only listen to male rappers you should examine that. if you only listen to 'old school' you should examine that and if you think modern rap is 'too violent' you should examine that. if you think all rap sounds the same you should examine that and if you think it all sounds universally 'bad' you should examine that twice over. rap as a genre is booming right now. you are willfully excluding yourself from some of the most intricate lyricism and production in music history. the absolute least you should do is figure out why you have so strong a reaction to it and what underlying biases might be causing that

okay so like. im not big on assigning masc/fem labels to ppl. i think its kinda limiting, esp when it just ends up reinforcing gender roles we're trying to break away from. like, ppl should be able to wear whatever they want and express themselves however they want without it needing to be "butch" or "femme" or anything else

Favourite princess and or why that princess is interesting to you?

My personal fav has to be the Beast / Den. Just because I like kitty :3 it's less that it's interesting to me more so that the thought on Cat. (Also animation 👍)

My favorite in the interest sense is the Nightmare (she was also my first princess (the wraith was my first princess given to the shifting mound))

The fact that her skin is a completely different color than ANY of the other princesses and that she's wearing a mask that's cracked and the shade of the other princesses.

It all is put to the fact that, to us and the protag. She isn't a princess. She's something dangerous, other, deadly.

The mask + the gloves hide her actual skin and face (we don't even get to SEE her face underneath really) and the fact that she calls us a coward when staying with her in the cabin. Also ALSO what I just realized is that her dress is darker than any of the other princesses iirc. Also also also I love the taking mask off scene.

With her, the fear comes from the fact that just being AROUND her will kill you (also the sound that comes with it scared the shit out of me). And with the beast, the fear is from the unknown, not knowing where the princess is and not even knowing what she LOOKS LIKE.

I've always been a "the supernatural is real" truther for the show but I think at the same time it is that much worse and tragic if it was just all in their heads. When they were in the wilderness at the end of the day they were just teenage girls, a lot of them came with their own issues, etc. and laws of civilisation don't apply. But, when they get back home they desperately need help but don't want to speak out mostly due to paranoia of what they did getting out,,, but like,,, for the most part you can understand it. And it's so sad to watch for example Tai who needs help not get any and then now her wife and kid don't wanna talk to her they practically hate her and are even terrified of her. It would just be all that much worse if it was for nothing

Even if necessarily they didn't "have" to do some of the things they did I think people can try and sympathise it's an entirely different headspace when you're out there and at a certain point you don't think you'll ever be saved. But then as adults they need that help but are too scared to get it and now the only people that really understand their situation is each other and their numbers are dwindling..

That to me is the real tragedy of it all as much as I love supernatural horror and thrillers, I think it's scarier the thought that there is no other factor or higher being at play here and it's just a bunch of (now only a few) people who have destroyed so much and pointlessly killed so many for no real cause

Based on the fact that this toxic af fandom ran a fandom favorite off the website for their transmasc character headcanons, I just needed to rant about people who gatekeep this fandom and these characters like they own them?? Newsflash, you don’t! Everyone is allowed to headcanon as they please. They’re not stating “x character is transmasc and that’s that.” They’re putting an idea out there that they like and connect to. It’s called a headcanon for a reason.

You know what? Yeah. Nonbinary Van, I love you. Bigender Nat, I love you. Transfem Misty and deeply repressed transmasc Jackie, I love you. I like those ideas and I’m not stating that’s the canon but I AM saying it’s fun to explore and there are pieces of canon that feed into it and lead me to think about this. You don’t have to agree with headcanons. You’re allowed to make your own headcanons and wholeheartedly love developing and sharing them. I hope the new Netflix fans brings a broader, more open-minded audience that’s able to appreciate writing, art, ideas, thoughts, opinions, etc. without losing their minds.

I will never let anyone convince me into thinking that Nat is a dark person, yes she has trauma but that trauma is from being forced to participate in violence. She has never enjoyed or reveled in what they did out in the woods in comparison to people like Shauna and Lottie and she has always felt so guilty about everything. If all of the circumstances were right then she would’ve been born into a loving family and would’ve thrived as a student and a soccer player who is happy living life as it is.
