The flag of my hometown is genuinely the ugliest and most unique colour combination I've ever seen. The colours are supposedly cinnamon brown over emerald green to reference a military unit from the city, but it just looks nauseating together. Points for a bold presentation. There are unique elements of this flag that would do well in a redesign, such as the black diamond, but for now it is a hideous and little-known municipal flag deserving of admiration for it's uh... unorthodox colour theory.

specifically a store that comes mid-september to occupy an empty retail space for the duration of the Holiday Season and sells spooky decor and costumes?

Hmm...not in the parts I'm from, no. There have been temporary mattress shops and like five billion discount shops, but never any Halloween-themed temporary ones.

However there's a parties store in Newcastle (suburb about 2 hours from Sydney) called Shindigs, which basically supplies everything you would need for Halloween, except this shop has lasted twenty fucking years doing just that, and nothing more.

Its business model never ceases to amaze me.
