so i saw something on wikipedia that said, until the 19 century, the greeks believed that werewolves, if not killed properly, would turn into striped hyenas. (i do take this with a grain of salt, but i think its kinda neat-)

anyway, then I thought of nico di angelo, and about what if he had ended up a werewolf from lycaon's attack, and then i thought- what if, when the werewolf stuff was starting to affect him, and he started shadow traveling, he morphed the 'wolf' into hyena, being pretty much in the area between dead and alive as he shadow traveled.

like- hyenas are seen as things no one wants around, and in lore, they tend to eat dead bodies, and they bring fear with them. also, they have a big fire and witchcraft connection. They (hyenas, both striped and spotted) tend to have their body parts used in love potions, and that could be tied into eros or smth.

anyway i have many thoughts about nico and hyenas.

Okay all the pups love Hulk and they start to hear in him sneaking in so they just steal him from Kevin and take him. He has no choice all these small pups just take him away and he can’t help but follow. Maybe Kevin didn’t notice Hulk sneaking in one day but the pups did and they just stole him and Kevin didn’t find out until later when he found them all just chilling together.

Does margo have a sense of humor and what will never fail to make her laugh?

OOO my first question 👁️👄👁️

I’m about to rewrite the Odyssey and get far off topic here and we all know it.

I like to think Margo’s the type of person to be a walking dichotomy. Just like she can be as sickly sweet as sugar in her day-to-day life, yet cold to the point of scalding in her profession, she’s the type of gal to laugh both at the darkest, most gruesome, gory, disturbing black kind of humor known to mankind, and do Gallows humor herself… and the next second turn around and start rolling on the floor because she’s seen Nico slip on a banana peel. Hysteric kind of laugh, yandere simulator kind of laugh. I like to think she may be as ladylike as she wants and yet when she laughs she still sounds like a feral hyena.

Mordecai’s legit scared of her and for her mental sanity when she does that, by the way. He’d like, either go “WHAT IS HAPPENING—?!”, or awkwardly pull her back up from the floor and pat her head, or her back. Or if it’s a business kind of situation, he’d tense up and hiss her to… “compose yourself, Ford”.

Yes, I also like to think that Mordecai would call her by her last name in public even after they started dating, to avoid giving an idea of ‘overfamiliarity’.

And she’d laugh at that kind of behaviour of his, too. She’s a close collaborator of the Savoys, and shares some of the same deranged, reckless kind of mentality: she’d think of Mordecai as completely paranoid, but unlike the Savoys she wouldn’t mock him for it: she thinks it’s cute, in fact, in the manner a shy and cowardly bunny may be cute. A kind of somewhat ‘belittling’ cute, maybe, but as I said, she gets along well with the Savoys: you can’t expect her to be exactly normal on the psychological side, a bit of a cruel streak resides in her, too. Of course, we all know Mordecai’s FAR from a coward, but that’s besides the point.

When the Marigold and Lackadaisy where still partnered in business and weren’t trying to implode each other she probably got along well with Mitzi. Similar energy, though Margo’s more on the unhinged, if vicious, side. She holds that back when she needs to, though, of course.

I have some exciting news to share with you all! The Star Summer Night celebration is fast approaching, and it would be delightful if you would join me on June 1st! 🎇

Although canonically this holiday is celebrated on the first day of spring - according to the Butcher of Ark books, we are choosing to be fashionably late this year - and our good friend Nico approves. He has even kindly provided us with a list of animal costumes that the canon characters would wear for the masquerade🦁

Shifter hulk being a bit more hesitant towards Kevin though? Like not because he’s scared but because he wants to respect boundaries ? Although it makes him sad ?

Anon, you have no idea the chaos this ask has created for me and @f1-birb.

Nico would be trying so hard to maintain boundaries because he thinks that Kevin hates the way he plays with him. He would try not to play with Kevin's tail, or pounce on him. He still gets close to him during cuddle piles, but he knows Kevin was scared by what happened so he doesn't play with Kevin when shifted.

Kevin takes this as Nico being scared of him. Kevin knows he hurt him, adespite everyone understanding that it was an accident, Kevin is afraid of his size. It especially hurts when he sees Nico playing with Lando. It shows that Nico is still playing and pranking and annoying people, just not Kevin.

So Kevin tries to show that he isn't scary by doing something he had seen Max, who's lion form is bigger than him, do: play with Lando.

And it's going well. Lando loves playing when he is in a little gremlin mood. He's having fun dodging Kevin's big paws, and zipping under his legs and playing with Kevin's tail. Until Kevin gets too relaxed and into it and bats Lando a little too hard and yeets Lando across the room into a nest.

Imeddiately everyone is alert. Some are growling at Kevin, hissing at him thinking he has hurt Lando. Kevin is ready to run and never come back but then Nico is in front of him, protecting him from their anger and not letting anyone close while human Max is standing between the shifted pack. Kevin is just in awe of his hyena Nico who is standing up for him and proteting him.

It is also in the middle of all this tension that everyone misses Lando wiggling out of the nest until he is yipping and running back to Kevin and Nico, just excitely yipping and nudging at Kevin's paw for him to do it again
