Tips for drawing damian's hair pretty please?🥺

Hoo boy anon, I tried but tbh, I also really struggle to draw his hair HAHAHA. Still lots of trial and error, getting the balance between natural and gel-structured. Also side-parting is just a personal preference! And obviously more based on his 2011 appearance, since that is what I'm most familiar with.

Damian's hair has gone through a lot of canon iterations over the years (more than any other Robin?), so go long! Go short! Go crazy! Do whatever you want!

eddie called buck exhausting and told him to suck it up in 309 because eddie was dealing with the unimaginable grief of suddenly losing his wife who he had such a fucked up complicated relationship with that he’s not even sure if they were together or separated. and because he was dealing with his son being double traumatized from re-losing his mom and from almost drowning in a tsunami. and because he was not sleeping because chris was screaming himself awake every night asking for buck. and because buck wasn’t there because buck took the nuclear option re being unhappy about a decision at work. eddie called him exhausting because he was literally exhausted. and he told him to suck it up because that’s what he’d been forcing himself to do through all of this and he hadn’t yet gone through all the character growth that would lead him to realize that this is an unhealthy way to process grief. the street fighting era was him learning that this is not a good way to approach things, because when you try to suck it up, it’s just going to come out of you in a different way. like that was the whole point of that line was to reflect on how eddie was dealing with his own grief and anger and trauma in an unhealthy way. all of which buck later acknowledges and says “hey i wasn’t there and i should have been. i fucked up and i’m sorry and i’m not going to do it again. also will you please punch me until i pass out oh my god you’re so hot”

was watching some bts clips from season 3 and stumbled upon a video of them playing pool together in full costume and it’s actually like the sweetest thing in the world because they’re literally just kids. just having a good time

and then you watch the show and it’s like “okay so one of them actually is a little kid who’s just trying to have fun and one is a stressed, angry old man who’s desperately trying to save the lives of everyone on the planet”

Oh, and funny story, I actually drew a different version of this image first as another opportunity to test out a new sketching style for painting. I definitely think it shows promise, but for now I've decided to keep the thin line sketching style I've been using for asks to express my more comic-type ideas, hence this version above. An egg for Kille also getting in under the wire! I did pretty much all of it this month, I think? I knit a to-be-gifted death star pillow. Because of their pet situation, I made it fully destuff-able and washable, which required drafting a sewing pattern based on a beach ball to make the removable pillowcase insert and sewing a bunch of tiny snaps into the liner and the circle of the death star. But it is done, and in the mail!

That's genuinely a fascinating item, I have NEVER seen something like that before. a death star knitted pillow with removable insert. I think you could continue to develop this in a future iteration and have it be a pillow container that (much like a pyjama case) is intended to be stuffed with things. I think a bunch knitted spaceships. and the long winter giraffe muppet things. they all get stored inside the big ball, and then you sell the pattern on Ravelry and make a MINT.

(I don't know anything about Star Wars and have never sold a knitting pattern or made a mint in my life. don't listen to me)

seriously this is cool and complicated and amazing, and I think a lot of people will admire it a lot. I hope your friends love it as much as we all do. thank you for pelting Killie with eggs.
