Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one who remembers how wayyyy back when, proshippers (which weren't even called "proshippers" yet!) started relatively synchronous (as in orbital) to the anti-SJW movement, and were like that for a while, and it makes me feel a little crazy since no one ever brings it up. I guess almost none of the evidence for it would be findable anymore since a lot of the original discourse blogs from that time are deactivated or terminated, but I was there and I swear it happened...!

It may sound a bit far-fetched to the contemporary discourser since the proship movement fancies itself so left-leaning and open-minded, but back then ““egalitarianism”” was in vogue, and "don't tell me what to ship, stupid antis" paired like a fine wine with "don't censor me, filthy SJWs"... How times change!

Anyway remember yoonbum-in-drag/careforacuppatea? Person that every anti and their dog hated for a while, and proshippers passed her posts around all the time a few years back? She changed her url and is now a zealously conservative christian, gun nutty, tradwifery-shilling, drag-queen-hating, anti-choice, anti-contraception, slut-shaming prudish transphobe! ... but y'know what? She's still into the same kinds of ships as before.

Guess proshippers have a point: Your taste in media and fanart really doesn't say too awful much about your politics or values as a person.

'Cause I've gotten the "this extremely detailed death threat where OP describes wanting to cook and eat your organs while you're still alive somehow doesn't violate our TOS uwu" email, but that's literally all I've ever gotten, and I've only gotten it for around 5 of the posts I've reported...

I've reported way more than 5 posts, so do I just not get an update if the report is actually actionable?

YES anon keefe is not a bad person and I do worry that our attempts to balance the scale from the “keefe is actually perfect” era have gone a bit too far. I’d be considered pretty Keefe critical by a lot of the Pinterest fandom and a lot of younger fans who just fangirl over him, which is funny because he is fully my favorite character. However, being critical of a character’s actions is different from just… defining that ENTIRE CHARACTER by just a list of their worst moments (ok just realized like that sounded like a callout and it isn’t. This isn’t about THAT list. It’s a general thing. But actually in hindsight yeah this could also be about that list. Love you Stria) because round characters do have good AND bad moments, including keefe. Keefe didn’t get a huge fan base out of nowhere for no reason. He’s a great guy and he makes Sophie really happy. Their relationship has a lot of realistic rough patches (and I believe it needs to go through at least one more big one tbh) and he’s FAR from perfect but. yeah. Since the attitudes on keepblr are very different than other platforms, it ends up being just as unbalanced, because a lot of people who dislike keefe end up aiming most of their arguments at the keefe fans who ARE NOT here instead of the keefe fans who ARE here.

Xisuma is so good at not missing sand!!! I think he did very well for his first SOT and I think he only missed one sand. Really good.

You know, I'm kind of petty, I might block him back if I could, but I'm not sure how blocking works since I can still see his other blogs (surreal-leafy and the-silly-teardrop, both of which still int with me, and god knows how many others), but i think it is funny

Honestly, I did see the post in which he threatened to rip someone limb to limb. I thought it was horrible, hypocritical and disgusting how he could say something like that so casually with no punishment or apology, and yet he's so petty as to let me apologize TWICE and then still block me. I don't think he deserves to interact with me, and I think he should stay away from me for a little bit, but that's just me being uncomfortable.

I also think it's a little unfair. I believe it was immature and petty not to accept my (several) apologies, and do the same thing to somebody else as if they can't set the same back on him. When the situation happened, I shut down @haterblue for a week, and when I tried to reason with him, he shut me down. From what I can tell, his blog is still up and running, and he doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.

Also, before he blocked me, he made a callout post for haterblue stating that he doesn't accept my apology. Then, something similar happened, and he made yet another callout post siccing his followers on someone who clearly didn't see what they did wrong-?? And when I, again, tried to reason with him, that's when he blocked me. I don't see why that's fair. Again, I think that was very immature of him, and he could stand to get a bit of scolding. But then again, that's just me being petty.

I'm also going to admit I notice he interacts with a lot of my best friend's roleplay blogs as well, being rude and making bad jokes, and refusing to back down when they ask him to stop. I don't like that. He's generally not a good person to me or the other blogs' mods, and I'm not sure why he's still here if he's just going to be rude and selfish.

I'm honestly not sure how to react. I'm not going to tell anyone to harass him, and I'm not trying to sic you guys on him, but I do think somebody needs to do something about this. I obviously can't, but it would be nice if he gets a little of what he puts on others.
