Interviewer: Mr. Wartooth, I assure you that plenty of your fans are excited for you. But you are right, there has been a rise in female suicides since the announcement. Have you two thought that this might be because of your coupling?

Skwisgaar: Of course it is. When wes gots together, we becames exclusive. I wents from having dozens of womens in a single night to just my boyfriends.

Interviewer: Oh, so it was Skwisgaar who made the first move?

Skwisgaar: Depends on what you considers first move.

Interviewer: Oh?

Toki: Skwisgaar and I haves been you-know-whating each others for a while, and I was the one that asked for it.

Toki: Toki ams goods at guitar too!

Skwisgaar: I knows that, Karesta.

The Interviewer would like to note that Mr. Wartooth visibly relaxed upon Mr. Skwigelf’s response.

Skwisgaar: He ams a little…possessive. Likes a rabid dogs.

Toki: Likes yous never beens jealous befores.

Skwisgaar: I never saids I’ms never jealous. Yous just possessive.

Toki: It turns you on.

Skwisgaar: Ja, it does. It’s hot.

Toki: But in all seriousness, it ams very nice to bes withs him. He’s the only one I think that really understands me, both personally and musically. Interviewer: And Mr. Skwigelf, do you share the same sentiments for the worlds second fastest guitarist?

Toki: Hey!

Skwisgaar: Nos.

The interviewer would like the note that upon Mr. Skwigelf’s response, the interviewing room got very tense.

Interviewer: Would you…like to elaborate?

Skwisgaar: Oh, ja. Being with Tokis is like constantly being challenged every day. But I likes to be challenged. When you gets to the tops of the mountain, it gets cold and loneliness. Sure, you can invite 1, 10, uh 50 beautiful womens up there to keeps you companys, but it doesn’t do anything for my creatives mind. It gets numbs. Toki is…well…he’s the reason I try. I knows I am the greatest, but, what ams its likes being the greatest if I have no one to challenge that. Toki was never afraid to challenge me. He still isn’t. It’s not onlys my playing, though. He makes me wants to challenge my own self. I can’ts have the conversations I have with Tokis with anyone else. He makes me think. He makes me happy and fulfilled. No one else has ever done that before.

Toki: Oh, Skwisgaar, that was so sweet! I love you!

The interviewer would like to note that Mr. Wartooth kissed Mr. Skwigelf for 3 minutes and 27 seconds after his response.

Interviewer: Is there anything else you would like to add, Mr. Skwigelf?

Skwisgaar: I also like seeing the other peoples faces when we goes out.

Toki: Jealousy. It ams funny.

Interviewer: What informative and touching remarks from both of you. Mr. Wartooth, you mentioned Mr. Skwigelf taking you out on your first date. Can you tell us more about that?

Skwisgaar: Afterwards we wents home and you-know-whated until we fell asleep. It was a goods first date.

Interviewer: Oh, that sounds like you two had a good time. What made you take him to the carnival for the first date?

Skwisgaar: He’s always likeds amusement parks and carnivals. In Floridas, back before we gots big, I took him to the carnival on the pier to get us both out of the apartment. Pickles was drunks and had thrown ups in the living rooms again. It smelt horribles. Toki had never been before so we went. I remembered just how much fun we both had. I wanted to try and replicate that.

Toki: Skwisgaar…

The Interviewer would like to note that Mr. Wartooth began tearing up at Mr. Skwigelf’s response.

Interviewer:  Mr. Skwigelf, how thoughtful.

Skwisgaar: I knows. I ams the bests.

The Interviewer would like to note that Mr. Wartooth smacked Mr. Skwigelf on the chest after his response.

Interviewer: We’ve talked about the fan’s response, but what about the bands response? How did they react?

Toki: Wells.

Skwisgaar: Too wells. They hads a bets on us.

Toki: Yeah, Murderface lost 50 bucks to Pickle. Chuckles.

Skwisgaar: But overall, they had a feeling this was coming.

Toki: I thinks Murderface was the hardest to wins over but we eventually dids. And Charlie already knew before them.

Skwisgaar: For the paperworks and legality.

Interviewer: Did you have to sign papers prior to your relationship?

Skwisgaar: Yeah, mostly like collaterals.

Toki: Charlie said that if we breaks up and it goes bads, likes, “we cant records no mores music” bad, then we owes Dethklok the company money.

Interviewer: Interesting. And is there any indication of a breakup?

Toki: Nos. I’ms…I’ms very happies with Skwisgaar. I don’t think I’ve been this happies in a long whiles. I loves him very much.

The Interviewer would like to note that Mr. Skwigelf place a kiss on top of Mr. Wartooth’s head upon his response.

Skwisgaar: I feels similar. I don’t have anythings to be upsets about, maybe except your lacks of practicing, but.. we’ve gone though just abouts everything and we’re still together. I couldn’t think of anyone else I would wants by my sides than Toki. Both as a partner and as my rhythm guitarist.

Toki: Oh, elskede…

Skwisgaar: Älskad.

Interviewer:  Oh my. Sniff. I didn’t expect to tear up today, I’m so sorry. Excuse me. That was quite sweet. Ok, almost done. Who said “I love you” first?

Toki & Skwisgaar: Me.

Toki: Nos, I saids it first.

Skwisgaar: Wrongs, my little Tokis. I saids it first after we finished you-know-whating before we gots together.

How do the followers or adversaries of Thistle Law talk about it in-universe? Like... Do they have terms for themselves such as idk. Thistlers? jk but would thistlers for example deny non-thistlers the term "warrior" or "leader" bc "a True warrior values battle and the right if challenge" or some shit like that?

In-universe, it's quite varied. Thistle Law is not a position that you just announce you hold, so there's a lot of code and double-speak.

Watch for cats who start focusing on Strength, Weakness, Purity, and Mixing, especially in WindClan and ThunderClan where there's a deeper stigma about openly supporting Thistle Law.

But when they ARE being open about their position, they refer to themselves as thistles, or use Thistle Law as a proper noun.

"I am a thistle, not a pansy"

"We follow Thistle Law"

"A thistle doesn't just let itself get shredded to death! It claws back!"

(I think it makes for better dialogue than having them say Thistleist or Thistler. I have a minor nitpick about ASC where they finally gave the clans a real slur and they went with "Clan Swapper." Has no bite to it, but I'm glad they're finally making xenophobes the actual antagonists)

When they refer to cats in the outgroup, you got it. They tend to deny them as 'true' warriors, if they're being especially aggressive they'll stop calling a leader by -star.

Thinking about it, they probably refer to othered cats as weeds and delicate flowers, like pansies or lilies. Things that a thistle chokes out.

aa5 and aa6 spoilers here!

another reason why aa1, 2, 3 and 4 "feel" different from 5 and 6 - different writer. yamazaki isn't necessarily a bad writer, he did write some banger cases for ace attorney investigations 2 and i think also 1 as well. i'm not sure if aa5 and 6 are a result of too many cooks spoiling the broth, executive meddling or what, but... it does lose something.

shu takumi's writing is hallmarked by its lightheartedness, its focus and dedication to the comedic elements while never neglecting the emotional heart of the characters. it is characterized by simple, domestic events between family and friends. there are no bombs blowing up the courtroom, no dark age of the law (except for, well, rfta), no massive political revolutions. the stakes are relatively low and local, focusing instead on the family drama of the feys, the gramaryes, the angst of edgeworth, and how phoenix gets dragged into the tangle of their lives.

it is interesting and compelling storytelling because a LOT of storytelling time is spent on motive, characters, and how they feel about events. the funny moments endear you to the characters all the more, and the optional dialogue makes them seem more human and relatable. phoenix's snarky inner monologue and huge heart work together to grant him a distinct and unique character voice that makes you want to root for him. aa5 and aa6 try to focus more on grander stakes and simplified plotlines about good and evil, the lawyers v. the phantom who is unapologetically evil, the lawyers v. ga'ran who is fundamentally unsympathetic. it's not really as nuanced as say, morgan, who is definitely evil, but her motivation for being so is more fleshed out based on how jealous she was and her desire to elevate pearly to a higher status and escape being the branch family. the sense of urgency to events, and flat-ness of some of the humorous elements, causes you to connect with the characters less. phoenix is much less connected/engaged with trucy than he was in aa4, for example. his beanix personality is all but gone. apollo is also noticeably less connected with trucy whereas in aa4 they were joined at the hip. this is one of the more egregious examples but there are more, like klavier being reduced to a one-dimensional fanservice robot and a lack of explanation of any aa4 plot threads.

while the writing is not the best, i believe aa5 and aa6 do have some good things on offer. the stories and adventures are engaging, have some decent humor in them, and the pacing isn't bad. but the lack of takumi's input is really, really felt and makes them weaker entries in the franchise. i feel it is harder to get excited about replaying them than it is to get excited about replaying 1-2-3-4.

Me writing this new chapter like, I hope yall are sick of girl boss fully independent sassy badass girls who love to take charge. Cus I go hard in on the "Love doesnt make you whole, but the right love can help heal you where it matters" kind of relationship. I get the modern audience independent woman trope, but we are not writing this fic and pretending as if theres anything wrong with letting a caring, loving male partner take care of you when you need it.

I honestly just came up with the main plot ideas for HotGW and went "Okay, so the reader can fight, use a sword, shoot a bow, and wears armour. But do not be mistaken. She is NOT a badass. She is NOT a snarky girl boss queen that kicks men's asses. She is a grouchy house cat 90% of the time. Just glaring while being picked up by her owner against her will because shes too stubborn to admit she likes it when she gets cuddles."

In a Pezberry fic I’ll never write I’d love to explore the season 2B tension, particularly from Rachel’s side. I always thought her frustration with Santana bubbled until it burst in the form of “the only job you’re ever gonna have is working on a pole.” Because when you think about it, a lot of the frustrations Rachel let go of in regards to Quinn sort of transferred over to Santana, who was basically her main bully past Quinn’s pregnancy reveal. And it’s not like her issues with Santana aren’t justified because of the, you know bullying. But it’s also more than that.

It’s Rachel taking such issue with it being Santana Finn had slept with. And then Santana gets the Sectionals solo? Don’t tell me that didn’t sting. Come Christmas time Finn breaks up with her for real so I just have this gut feeling Rachel would project everything onto Santana. She’s kinda the reason for the Finchel breakup, she relentlessly bullies Rachel and she’s started getting solos. Rachel might be able to stand for one of those but not all. So she bites back in instances like that pole line and is in general a lot snappier with Santana than anyone else. And then of course, as the season progresses Santana has her own issues, coming to terms not only with her sexuality but that she can’t be with Brittany.

Basically season 2 was some really juicy potential for a big Pezberry lashing out situation where, after getting it all out, they sort of come to a mutual understanding about the root causes of their frustrations. And depending on what you’re into they either start leaving each other alone with mutual respect or get together. Toss of a coin really.
