I don't think we realize just how dirty Janus' Spotify Playlist is. We've overlooked it so much. In this little analysis post, I wanna point out the handful of songs that show the sluttiness behind the Snake-Man because damn this playlist shows he can't keep it in his pants. You thought Remus is dirty..you haven't seen Janus...

First is "I put a spell on you" By Nina Simone. This song is believed to be about the poisonous and hypnotic throws of love. The dedication and devotion of love. Specifically a jealous love. Of wanting someone who doesn't want you. I'm not exactly sure who this could be directed to. It could be directed at Roman but I think there's another song that hints to that. Could be Virgil but again, there's another song that could be that as well. Overall a sexy song regardless, come on, it has the word Daddy in it ffs.

Second is "Evil Night Together" by Jill Tracy. This song is believed to be about seduction in the darkness of life. The art of manipulation through allure and enticement. Feeling of intimacy beyond ordinary and the unknowns of seduction. Embracing darker parts of yourself instead of holding back. This song to me seems directed at Roman and what Janus did during SvS. Enticing him with the happiness of the callback and the positive praise he's always wanted. Keeping Roman on a leash of temptation for the betterment and self-desire of Thomas achieving his goals and dreams. With lines like "Who's gonna make you a hero?" It only just further shows that.

Third is "Cabaret: Don't Tell Mama" from Cabaret, which features Liza Minnelli. This song is about a young women who has an active nightlife working as a nightclub erotic dancer and performer. She doesn't want her conservative mother finding out about her exploits so she pleads for no one to snitch. It's interesting here because Liza Minnelli is in this and Roman wanted Liza as a wedding performer..and Liza wears an outfit very similar to something Janus would wear...I think you see what I'm going for here.

Fourth is "You're a Cad" by The Bird and the Bee. This song is believed to be about a woman falling for a man, knowing he has a bad reputation. She knows this man wants to be better but she doesn't see a point in him doing so since it's never enough. Even hinting that she could be worse than him, making them perfect for one another and partners in their chaos. She taunts and teases him "Tug at your line" , "Wait by the phone", "You're reckless with my heart" all lines alluding to the fact of attraction. She could and would waste her life on someone she knows is bad for her, she doesn't care. This song is 100% directed at Virgil. With lines like "So now you want the whole world to notice that you've come around, now you expect we'll see how you're really so much better now" and "What's the point pretending that you could be a better man? Just give in since you always end up right back where you began" all hint to Janus being aware of Virgil's departure from the Dark Sides and his attempts to be better and change but he knows Virgil will always fail. Virgil in response with "Ignorance" on his own playlist shows that he thinks Janus is blind to his change. But yeah, very "loving" song towards Virge dontcha think?

And fifth and finally is "Criminal" by Fiona Apple. This song is believed to be about a woman who used her sexuality to exploit and manipulate a man. She feels regret for doing so even if it's what she had to do. This song is basically the musical equivalent of saying "I've been a naughty boy, punish me". Another song seemingly directed Roman. Showing Janus does feel bad for doing what he did to Roman despite it being for the greater good. He knew Roman was sensitive and insecure but that's how he knew to get to him for a betterment. Yes, he knew it was shitty but it had to be done. It also hints to still lingering feelings. Like "oh I'm so bad to you, a villain you say, well why don't you punish me since you like that" You could say it's also directed at Patton with a line like "I've been careless with a delicate man" but that could be Roman or Patton honestly.

So with all of that said, it seems Janus is quite the whore. I mean 2 songs directed Roman in a provocative manner. And 1 song directed Virgil. And just the overall seduction and temptation of these songs shows his slutty nature. Snakes are even common symbols for sexuality. This snake man knows how to play his deck and dick right...or dicks if you believe that lol

Sanders Sides Co-Writing Fun

Hello this is @yomica12345. There might already be some fanders already doing this but I haven't found them if they are. I just thought it would be fun to create a side blog as a space to unite sanders sides fanfiction writers who would like to find others to write with.

I'm hoping it will help inspire those who are in all sorts of positions. Those who may be suffering with writers block and would just like someone to bounce ideas off of or are looking for a proof reader. Those who think it would be fun to co-write with someone but don't know where to look for that person to write with. Those who have ideas but aren't sure where to start and could use some guidance. And maybe those looking for writing prompts specific to the sides or those who would like to offer prompts from ideas they might have themselves.

Basically I want this blog to be a safe place for fanders who love writing fanfiction and fanders who love reading fanfiction. I'm not sure how to organize things just yet but if it seems enough writers are interested in this idea then I'll get a discord running and I'll start setting things up. If you're interested in participating in anything I've mentioned whether it be writing, reading or collaborating please like and reblog this post. Fander Fic Rec Friday (#16)

(Canonverse Recs)

The Puppet on a String series by DoomedKelpie Canon AU (Gen) Rating: T Janus isn't like the other sides. He doesn't have a fixed role or personality, changing to become whatever Thomas needs him to be. But when Thomas decides what he needs is to get to know Janus better, something has to change. Notes: I've rec'ed this elsewhere but it deserves another go around. Being a person is hard, even if you're only a fragment of one, and Janus just gets dropped into that mess and has to figure it out.

Learn to Fly Again by edupunkn00b Canon AU (Gen) Rating: G Thomas grows wings. The sides are varying degrees of helpful in helping him try to figure out why. Notes: A 5+1 wingfic written for the Sleepy Bean Cafe event, because as much as I love AUs, it's always a joy when people let loose and make the canon universe weird.

The Sweet Little Lies series by LeftoverParadox Canonverse (Loceit) Rating: T/M Logan goes looking for a way to try to understand Janus better. Through tea and lies, they begin to grow quite close. (Unfortunately, not everyone is happy with this development.) Notes: Probably one of my favorite Loceit fics ever. Roman and Patton are dicks about the relationship at the start, but a little forced self-examination never hurt anybody (too much) and things are more or less fine by the end.

Passion needs fuel by FeelingGroovySmooth Canonverse (Other) Rating: G Recent criticism from the other sides has sapped Roman's enthusiasm for his work. Remus steps in to intervene. Notes: I know I've rec'ed this one before as well, but as a writer this one touched me on a deep personal level, because it captures the artist's struggle with keeping motivation alive so well. (And the resolution, examining why the feedback of the other sides takes the form it does feels very in character for each of them. It's just really satisfying.)

Imagi-cation Getaway by Fandombead (MorningMist) Canonverse (Gen) Rating: G A series of vignettes built around the twins crafting each side their own unique vacations in the Imagination. Notes: Come get your fluff. Just good vibes making good use of the potential for infinite imaginary worlds available to the sides.

Feed Your Ego by Quarantinevibes Canonverse (Roceit) Rating: NR Roman is both touch-starved and starved for validation, and it's seriously beginning to affect both his self-worth and his ability to fill his role. Janus proceeds to try to help him...evilly, Remus enthusiastically, and Virgil... (well, he's a bit confused, but he's trying). Notes: Logan and Patton are very antagonistic in this, but the explanation for it is handled well. Ultimately it all makes sense in terms of how Thomas is doing (spoilers: Not Great).

the sides need to eat by xt1me Canonverse (Gen) Rating: G The sides, as metaphysical beings, have metaphysical appetites tied to their roles, and some hungers take more work to sate than others. Notes: This was posted as a headcanon or prompt, but I've always thought it works really well as a ficlet on its own merit. Honestly one of my favorites and an early influence in my own writing, because I love when the sides all get to be a little bit inhuman.

Virgil's no good, very bad week by megapichu Canonverse (Gen) Rating: T None of the sides are acting quite right, and it's putting Virgil on edge. Even the Others are effected, so nowhere is safe. But as long as whatever has replaced them is playing their parts, what can Virgil do but play along until he figures out what's going on? Notes: The Mindscape gets a little weird, effecting everyone except for Virgil, and the others make some very bad decisions in how to handle it. Nothing bad really happens and yet everything hurts.

Remus Cyrano Vaginercock by WizardGlick Canonverse (Moceit) Rating: T Janus is a pining dweeb and Remus decides to put him out of his misery. His plan: playing matchmaker by composing a love poem to woo Patton. Notes: Janus is a hopeless dork, Remus puts so much care into his scheme, and the commentary of the omniscient narrator is just hysterically funny.

Name Calling by NoblestRomanOfThemAll (AnxiouslyGoingIntoTheVoid) Canonverse (Gen) Rating: G Janus addresses Thomas's negative self-talk with a few pointed words...and a spray bottle. Notes: Just good advice and Janus looking out for Thomas, but there's also a very interesting angle in here on why the sides treat each other the way they do.

Everything Stays by WolfsBane54 Canonverse (Dukeceit) Rating: NR When they were younger they were a family, until Janus was forced by his role to lock Remus and Virgil away. Virgil managed to escape and fled, and Janus was alone. Years later, Janus frees Remus at last, knowing that he has to reap the violent consequences sooner or later. (Meanwhile, Remus emerges from captivity determined to get his vengeance, but to his consternation, Deceit's talent for always being one step ahead of him is...unfortunately kind of hot.) Notes: Janus and Remus start off at each others' throats, but somewhere in the middle of the Roadrunner and Coyote flavored lunacy they manage to fall for one another. (Which is good, because holy shit does Janus desperately need someone.) Also featuring: some of the most interesting depictions of the Imagination I've read, specifically it's treated as its own semi-sapient character, which is really cool. Also there's a kaiju battle.

To Janus: I’m not sure if you are aware, but Roman and Patton are heading to the Imagination to look for Virgil. I know you and Virgil aren’t on the best of terms rn, but I’m worried what might happen Ro and Pat. Roman can be overconfident at times and I feel Patton might be too trusting of strangers.

So let's try this again, lol. I have totally revamped the old fanfics a plenty by making new docs. Basically if you have no idea what fanfics a plenty is its a doc I made for readers and writers of sanders sides fanfics to share fanfics in a safe and hopefully well organized way.

This time around I'm making a discord and will be looking for moderators for both the discord channel and the fanfics a plenty documents so if that is something you are interested in then please join the discord or if you just want to join the discord to have another place to interact with other fanders who want to share content and view or read content then that is totally cool too. All are welcome, I would just ask that you please be mindful to the rules when adding fanfic recommendations and that you not remove any of them unless you are the author yourself. I hope this time around that things will go much smoother and that we can upkeep everything. Do be mindful that these first few days I will be working on adding in fanfic recommendations over from the other one and that it may be slow going, but also feel free to add in yours in that time as well. Don't be shy to self promote with this doc either.

Dang, it sure had been a while, huh?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say I literally think about this thing constantly and how I never got to finish it, because I had really started to see a story in my mind at that point. I had a lot I wanted to do and not enough motivation to do it I guess, plus the fact that I would leave the Sanders Sides fandom not long after going into basically a hiatus. I was unbelievably passionate about this story, however, and still am in a way.

If anyone finds this post, or if anyone really cares hah, I do wanna make a post about the story I had planned in my head, story beats I wanted to do, even character arcs and flaws in my writing I know realize like, dang, 2-3 years later? I’ve been so tempted to maybe possibly get back into this story but I recognize that this probably won’t get any attention hah, just a silly little au I made. I mean heck, the Amino I was originally posting on is now in an archived state and I highly doubt the small following I had asking questions are still there so it would be pretty silly to try and reignite what I had there hah. Maybe I could try to revamp and rewrite the story on a new blog hah, but eh, speculation, ideas.

Anywho, have this little thing I drew like, last year, because I’ve been thinking about this scene literally since I was still drawing this thing, plus some lore from the original profile, and, screw it, a link to the original Amino profile. 💕💕

Edit: forgot to mention, on my original profile I left lots of clues as to the larger overarching story in a few drawings and even short stories, so it’s almost like an arg! I’m open to any questions about the au if anyone wants to ask!

He says he’s sick from a “weather-related cold” but I live 15-ish minutes away from him and the weather hasn’t changed here in the slightest. Considering that he recently went to a very crowded event unmasked and that Florida still has (some of) the highest COVID positivity rates in the country, he probably has COVID. And considering that COVID is almost definitely what caused his health issues earlier in the year, it pisses me off that he’s STILL continuously minimizing COVID. What does he gain from going full fash, embracing eugenics, and pretending COVID is a non-issue? He knows about COVID, and his refusal to do better/be safer and his choice to not mask up is why he’s not a part of my life anymore. I’m immunocompromised and disabled, and it boils my blood when people won’t even consider COVID as a possibility. FANDERS SENT ME DEATH THREATS ON TWITTER BECAUSE I ASKED HIM TO BE SAFE AND MASK UP DURING AN ONGOING PANDEMIC OF A BSL-3 DEADLY AND DISABLING VIRUS. I’m honestly completely fed up with this man and his rabid fanbase. He’s a horrible person (I knew him irl for a few years, he’s really not a good person at all, unfortunately. It’s all an act </3) and an even worse businessman, and I can’t understand how people are still able to support him. Ugh.

(And I may be wrong, he may not have COVID, and I’ll 100% accept that I’m wrong if he can prove it’s not COVID. But I knew him irl and had to cut him completely out of my life because it was too dangerous for me to be around him. He specifically told me to my face that he didn’t care if I, an immunocompromised, disabled, high risk person, died of COVID because he didn’t want to wear a mask and take precautions. So yeah, I’m assuming it’s COVID that he has.)

listen, im not thomas' number one fan, and i can admit that he's done some scummy shit in the past, but to come into my ask box with a claim that he is openly ableist and would not care if a disabled person died? anon, i need any sort of proof that you knew him to even start believing that. to say that you knew him for a few years implies you were friends with him, and that would not be a hard thing to prove. i am not sure why you thought coming to me with a claim like this on anon would make anyone believe you

Advice for Fanders

Since “you know who” is going to be president of the U.S. and Project 2025 probably will become a thing, there is a chance all LGBTQ+ content will be removed from the internet.

So my fellow fanders, I suggest you start saving copies of fan works you like. Save pdfs of your favorite fanfics on AO3, because I have no idea what will become of AO3 during 2025. Save photos of fanart you like. Screen record cosplay videos and animatics you like. Maybe even screen record Sanders Sides episodes, because I don’t know what will happen to those either.

These are all just precautions I’m personally taking and/or planning on taking, so I might be overthinking all of this. It may not be as bad as I’m thinking it will be. But it’s probably better to protect the fan content now than to never get the chance to.

Do with this advice as you will, and be kind to yourselves in the coming years. Stay safe guys, gals, and nonbinary pals.

Fander Fic Rec Friday (#36)

(Sealed With a Kiss - Selkie Stories)

mysteries of the ocean by stardazeddaydreams Supernatural AU (Logicality) Rating: G Logan was simply being polite when he returned the coat that his classmate had dropped on the ground. He didn't know that Patton was a selkie and that the coat was so much more than a simple garment. (And he definitely didn't realize that, by tradition, that simple gesture meant that he and Patton were married.) Notes: Lightly angsty fluff. A very cute story about Logan winding up way in over his head, both with the supernatural and the navigation of complicated feelings.

The if you will marry me series by SoDoRoses (FairyChess) Supernatural AU (Logicality, Remile) Rating: T A selkie's customs regarding love and the ownership of their coat can be confusing—and sometimes alarming—for the humans in their lives to try to understand. (Or, Logan and Patton tell their (very) young son the awkward tale of how they met, half as a warning to keep his coat safe, but Emile knows in his heart who his husband will be...) Notes: The first story is a humorous meet-cute, the second is a soft but emotional story about vulnerability, possessive love, and the terrifying responsibility of doing right by those willing to give you everything.

Your Voice Beneath the Salted Sea by ThoughtfulMusings Supernatural AU (Prinxiety) Rating: T Virgil works in wildlife rescue and happens upon a trapped seal on the beach. After freeing it from the net, Virgil is surprised when the seal keeps returning to seek his company. (He's about to be even more surprised...) Notes: Cute Prinxiety fluff. Also, I really enjoy the amount of detail that is put into Virgil's career in wildlife rehabilitation.

Sick With Love (And Also Urchins) by VintageSquid Supernatural AU (Anxceit, Intruality, Intrumoxieceit) Rating: G Selkies and merfolk don't get along, but when Janus is struck by an unknown illness, Virgil has no choice but to approach one of the local merfolk pods to find help for his mate. (This turns out to be a much better idea than he could have imagined.) Notes: Hurt/comfort, humor, flirting, a bit of fun worldbuilding. Just a very good time.

neither calm nor quiet by delimeful Supernatural AU (Prinxiety) Rating: T Land is the last place that Virgil wants to be, but when Logan goes missing he has no choice but to go ashore looking for him. At least that was the plan before he wound up trapped in a fishing net. (Meanwhile, Roman handles finding a body washed up on the beach...about as well as one could hope.) Notes: Virgil is angry, Roman confused, and Logan is...who knows where.

The Selkie of Mac-Meanmna by thedarkstrangeson Supernatural AU (Roceit, past Anxceit) Rating: M Long ago, the inhabitants of the island of Mac-Meanmna went to war with the selkies of the sea. The islanders have long believed that the selkies were gone or extinct, but Janus knows better. Five years ago they took someone from him, and that loss has been a wound that still hasn't managed to heal. And yet, when he happens upon a selkie stranded on the shore, however vengeful his heart, he finds it in himself to choose mercy instead. Notes: A truly bittersweet one. Choices are made that change lives and break hearts and most of it will never quite mend, but there's still some hope for happiness in the end. Features some extremely dubious choices from several of the characters (particularly Patton and Logan). Of minor note, for once everyone has a slightly different name from canon except for Janus.

Parlay by Ronnirotten (Brandstifter) Supernatural/Pirate AU (Dukexiety) Rating: T Captain Remus is looking forward to interrogating the captive selkie that tried to attack him on his ship, but he's always open to a change of plans. Virgil had a plan when he boarded the ship, but...it's not working out how he'd hoped. Notes: In which Virgil is both desperate and misinformed and Remus is too horny to be threatened.

Weightless by Greenninjagal Supernatural AU (Gen) Rating: NR Virgil has spent the better part of a year trapped on land after his seal skin was stolen. The last thing he wants is to deal with humans, but if he's to have any hope of getting by long enough to find it, it's not like he has a choice. His roommates are more than a handful (and there's more to all of them than meets the eye). Notes: Angsty and chaotic bit of platonic LAMP featuring a four-car collision of sudden masquerade failures as an incident brings new details about all of them to light.

(No) Skin off his Back by Marina and theotherella Supernatural AU (Gen) Rating: G Coming on land for schooling was always going to be a risk, but when Logan cloak is stolen, his cousin Roman vows to helps steal it back. (Which involves going down a much deeper rabbit hole than either of them would have guessed.) Notes: This one's a bit wild. Mild warning that Patton clearly has a history of very bad choices here, and...who even knows what Virgil has going on.

within the fander community, from what I've seen, Logan being autistic is the most common of the headcanons, Remus probably second, which, like, fair. ok? fair.

they both get overstimulated in social situations but Remus gets Louder and Logan shuts down, i see you, ok? I see Logan having comfort objects and Remus having vocal stims I see you!! and i do love these headcanons HOWEVER

let me explain, hear me out, yada yada, let's fucking go-

if we take the time to closely examine Patton and his responses to social situations (which I did for the most part), there are a Lot of things to take into consideration with this headcanon. for the sake of why not, I am going to be focusing on my strongest arguments i guess? the events in Moving On, SVS, and SVS Redux.

Moving On displays Patton's almost desperation to preserve some of Thomas' fondest memories, to find comfort in the past instead of confronting the present.

oh, what's that? fear of change? fucking yes, write that down write that down !

additionally, going off of the trolley track I just set for myself, there are many, many moments in the series where jokes fly over Patton's head, dismissed because he's the most "innocent" side. yeah, no. more recent events have proved that Patton's emotional knowledge is like through the roof, and he may be silly goofy on purpose sometimes but I'm willing to bet you the exact 26 cents in my jeans pocket that it's the Autism (headcanon) and that the jokes are flying over his head, in a similar way to Logan

social cues are a motherfucker and patton has never agreed to conform to them literally ever, shouting things out in the middle of episodes, saying things that don't make sense to the others but make sense in his brain, etc.

i hate that I don't have specific examples but if you filled in my ramble with specific examples, good!!! you understand what I'm getting at and are helping prove my point, so thanks for that buddy!

ok fuck finally, the other main point I wanted to touch on was Patton's emotional responses in SVS and the Redux. mainly the fact that he's trying so desperately to figure out the morals of this situation, but that is nearly impossible when you're stuck in black-and-white thinking, like he and yeah ok also the other sides too i guess, are. another point towards my goal

basically, the point was, branch out! after I post this I'm gonna stare at a wip that features Patton with the same overwhelming sensory issues I have experienced and continue to experience, along with a moral dilemma also based on myself, as a treat.

So like, just started following you because I saw your most recent post?? Kinda part of that, this is probably gonna sound stupid but really appreciate the part about not caring about the hate Thomas is getting and unapologetically enjoying SaSi (it’s like every time I join a new fandom I find out there’s *something* wrong with it at some point, so seeing that when it was getting to be a “feeling outnumbered” type situation as a fander was nice). Made my night, just if you wanna know. 😁

My hyperfixation with Sanders Sides came to hit me stronger than ever a few months ago, I had honestly kind of fallen out of it like a lot of fanders did. When I dived right back in, I wasn't prepared for the number of people that had turned sort of against Thomas, and seeing that much criticism for the first time about someone I really admire was a hard hit to take.

I understand the criticism, I acknowledge that there are stuff we need to talk about and I get that Thomas is not perfect by any means. But, I'm not going to let that riun my experience with the content that helped me through the darkest parts of my life.

Writing for these characters makes me happy. Creating for this community fills me with joy. Rewatching Sanders Sides will never fail to make me smile. I want my vlog to be a safe space for people like me and you annon, fans that just want to enjoy making and sharing content without all the complaints about lack of canon content, ooc moments, script problems and what not.
