Ed, and mental health

I’ve been at my boyfriend’s house for the last 3 days, I have probably eaten a total of 1500 cals over the 3 days.

It started off me just being anxious while he was at work and I was home alone with his mom and brother. His mom kept offering me food throughout the day and I felt so disrespectful to continuously be saying “no thank you” to every food I was offered. The next day his family left to go to visit their Opa and bf worked all day again. I didn’t eat anything until 10pm and I was “proud of myself” but I know that my body is not handling it well. Today I managed to eat half a slice of pizza and I did let my bf know that he’ll probably have to help out more with dinner tonight since I’ve been dizzy and lightheaded for days at this point but didn’t mention why I’ve been feeling like crap because I don’t want to worry him.

I wish it wasn’t so hard for me to just fuel my body but I’ve been struggling with @notex!a since I was 14 (5 years I’m 19 now) and I’ve been through residential Ed treatment three times but over the last 3 years all of my support has gone away. Since I’m 19 I no longer have access to children’s mental health services and I live in a very very rural area where there just isn’t any mental health support let alone eating disorder support and I really just don’t know what to do.

I know I’ve gotten worse again because I’ve been tracking my weight in the last few months I’ve gone from ~170lbs to 118lbs (lost about 50lbs in the span of about 6 months) its getting a little scary because daily I’m lightheaded and dizzy, my heart sometimes feels like it’s beating slower, I’m losing hair, and even when I WANT to eat I just can’t.

I feel like a failure because so many people tried to help me in the beginning, I got a little better but now even though im not at my lowest weight from my previous attempts at recovery I’ve never struggled with this disorder more than I am right now. I’m constantly body checking myself and weighing myself and it feels like all I can’t think about it food and my weight.

I haven’t started counting calories again and I’m going to keep trying to not let that habit form again and I also haven’t started exercising again but that’s because I’m so tired and physically not able to that I haven’t even attempted to start exercising again.

It’s just so stressful to not be able to do what I want to do. I’ve been struggling with this disorder for 5 fucking years and it’s still causing issues in my life.

Notes: I have wanted Makoa to have the child he has in game but notex-girlfriends or flings or anything like that. So how could he have a child then? (Because I don’t see him being very keen on adopting etc. This way Nani is his daughter but kinda isn't 🤷‍♀️

Some of you could remember pre-totalitarian clouds floating above the lot in the base game... until the Maxis broke it in Seasons EP.

Years ago I have understood a bit about the structure of the Effects.package file, so I managed to return them into the game, and even made several innovations and discoveries.

Finally:

1. The lot clouds controller (misc.) - the hemisphere, that disappears in the Live mode (as it works in the totalitarian sky). It launches daytime clouds during the day, and night clouds at night time. In the base game there is a common effect for all lot sky effects (skybox fx + sun fx + clouds fx etc.), that switch all of them at the night automatically. The lot sky holder effect was changed in EP5, so there is no way at this time to restore it in original way without destroying the EP5 effections, so, I find the best way - the BHAV-based controller, that works in the similar way.

2. The rain clouds textures - when I tried to dig out the effects in the game files, I discover, that maxis had made the rain clouds effect directly for EP5, but then leave it unused. Why they destroyed clouds? What kind of fail was arrived during the development EP5? I don’t know. But in fact, when the weather on lot is overcast, the clouds automatically turned into rainclouds (sadly, only top clouds, distant clouds will still white). 

The texture file is absolutely required for the mod, because the original rain cloud texture was cut away from the final game, so the storm produces the cringy flakes of NOTEX:

3. The optional default replacement for the basegame cloud textures, based on the dust version (zombie cloud from EP01). It looks nice under the overcast skies (totalitarian or not, they are fully compatible, btw). And suited well with the dark dust rain texture.

4. The Neighborhood effects: there are lot sky effect holder for lots (either day with nice blue skybox and sun, or night with moon and stars, will switch with “L”-button) and separated day and night floating cloud enviroment can be placed in neighborhood view. As far as automaticall changing it in fx-based or bhav-based ways are impossible, cloud effects should be replaced manually - but it's not a burden, just one object per map is enough. The weather reaction works fine. NOTE: unlike the Totalitarian Sky, these should be placed in the center of the map.

5. The neighborhood effect: static cloud (umh, non-floating?). Such a cinematic effect, more for show-off than for actual long-time gameplay. The previous option launch the groups of clouds, distant and top, that float above the map, that real clouds do. This option cast the standalone cloud, as basegame Nhood cloud, that use the fixed point to arrive. It useful to be placed in a row so it can be COOL dynamic overcast sky YAY!!!! There are the low and high versions. Sadly, contains no night versions (but it isn’t too hard to do it, really).

いよいよW杯が開幕し、開幕戦でロシアがサウジに5-0と大勝した。そのサウジに、日本は最終予選で1勝1敗と苦しめられた。サウジは、最終予選の最終戦で日本に勝利し、オーストラリアを抑えてグループ2位となりW杯出場権を得ていた。最終予選では、サウジは好調だった。

では日本はどうか。ハリルホジッチ前監督が突然解任され、西野体制になった新生日本代表。これが今の日本のサッカー界を代表する選手とは到底思えないが、JFAにも勝敗とは別に「大人の都合」があったようだ。そんなこともあり、予選リーグは3戦全敗、かつ惨敗が見込まれている。では実際、日本はどの程度の成績を残すのか。Googleが提供するW杯のページでは、結果とともに、今後の試合については予想を提示している。これをもとに算出してみる。さっと見たところ、勝敗予想のデータの出典や根拠は示されていないようだが、Googleのことなので、何らかの信頼できるデータ提供元、あるいは数値モデルを利用していると思われる。ここは、Googleのデータを信頼することを前提としている。なおデータは、6月のFIFAの最新ランキング発表に伴い、その前とは2%程度の勝率が変化している。

まずは日本が属するH組の世界ランクを確認してみる。ポーランドは順位を2つ上げて6位、コロンビアは変わらず16位、セネガルも1つ上げて27位、日本は1つ下げて61位。先月から順位を下げたのは日本だけで、その他の3カ国は変わらずか順位を上げている。これを見ても、ベスト16争いは、実質的に日本を除いた3カ国で争われるとみられる。上位2チームの組み合わせとしては、(ポーランド,コロンビア)、(ポーランド,セネガル)、(コロンビア,セネガル)の3つのいずれかになるだろう。

これが、H組の勝敗予想をまとめたものだ。ポーランドとコロンビアの強さが際立っている。両者の直接対決を見ると、世界ランキングではポーランドが上位であるにもかかわらず、勝敗確率ではコロンビアの方が高くなっていることがわかる。勝敗確率の算定には、単純に世界ランキングだけではない他の個別要素が組み込まれていることがわかる。言うまでもなく日本が勝利する確率はいずれも低く、なんとか勝負になりそうな相手は、第2戦のセネガルくらいか。

では日本はどのような結果になる可能性が高いのか、まとめてみた。最も可能性の高いのが1勝もあげることができない0勝で、48%、およそ半分程度の確率である。想像していたほど高くはない。その中で、3戦全敗はわずかに13%である。これもかなり低い確率だ。残りの35%は引き分けが入る。勝てないまでも、引き分けで踏みとどまる試合がありそうだ。続いて可能性の高いのが1勝で、40%ある。これも意外と高い。1勝の場合、他国の状況次第ではあるが得失点差で決勝トーナメント出場の可能性が出てくる。ただし、今の日本の場合、得失点差で予選突破を逃す可能性の方が高いだろう。最後に、可能性としては低いが、2勝が11%、3戦全勝が1%となっている。3戦全勝に至っては、同じH組で100回戦っても、1回あるかどうかという確率になる。

このように見ていくと、順当に行けばポーランドとコロンビアが予選を突破しそうだ。波乱があるとすれば、セネガルのこの2カ国との戦い方にありそうだ。そうなった場合、日本も入り込む余地はあるかもしれない。だが他の3カ国から見た場合、日本は得失点差の餌食になる可能性もある。得失点差の勝負を見込んで、単なる勝ち点3だけではなくより多くの得点を得るべく、相手国はかなり攻撃的な布陣を敷いてくる可能性があるのではないか。そうなった場合、惨敗は避けられない。

机上の可能性として、1勝は十分可能である事がわかる。だが、日本は4月の前監督解任による混乱で、必ずしも代表としてふさわしいとは言えない選手が選抜された可能性があり、実質的に今の世界ランキングを下回った実力である可能性が高い。更に得失点差の餌食になる可能性すらあり、現実の戦いはより厳しそうだ。 また、予選リーグを突破する可能性は、前述の通り1勝での得失点差の勝負となった場合に極めて不利である。そこで突破の可能性があるのは2勝以上の13%と見ていいのではないか。偶然ではあるが、3戦全敗と同程度の確率である。
