au - tim sneaking out of jason's room one night at the manor and accidentally locking eyes with dick who is sneaking out of bruce's room at the exact same time, breakfast is very awkward the next morning
(i did think of having it be jason instead of tim but honestly jason has 0 shame and even less issue outing himself if it means fucking with bruce and, to a lesser extent, dick)
i'm cackling I love these types of things so much. they're so silly. sometimes we deserve mindless crack for these ships. have a *very* low effort ficlet bc this just makes me snort, enjoy <3
Dick closed Bruce's door as quietly as he could. Usually, he didn't have to sneak around when he slept with Bruce. But the temporary room Bruce had given Jason in the manor was just down the hall, and Dick didn't feel like looking Jason in the eye if he walked out of Bruce's bedroom in the morning at the wrong time.
Just because he was pretty sure Jason knew, didn't mean he needed confirmation and confrontation.
Dick had almost caved to staying in bed with Bruce when Bruce tried to pull him back down, but he kept some level of wits about him, prying Bruce's arm off of him and giving him a final kiss on the cheek before heading for the door.
The one thing Dick did allow himself, though, was wearing one of Bruce's shirts instead of his own. It was a size too large on him but smelled safe and comforting. Dick breathed a quiet sigh of relief when the door latched silently. He let go of the handle, turning around to creep off to his own bedroom in another wing.
And found himself staring at another figure.
With all of the lights off and only faint moonlight streaming through the windows, Dick couldn't tell who it was, at first. His reaction was embarrassing no matter who it was, jumping nearly a foot backward and clutching a hand over his chest.
He was a goddamn vigilante. This was just embarrassing.
The other person wasn't nearly as shocked as Dick, but they stood perfectly still, staring with wide eyes that faintly reflected what little light illuminated their face. Dick squinted, leaning forward to see who it was.
"Tim?" Dick hissed, trying to keep his voice to a whisper. Bruce had fallen asleep and if Dick woke him up now, he was never going to get the stubborn bastard back to bed.
Tim, still looking like a deer in headlights, just blinked at Dick.
"What are you doing up this late?" Dick asked. They'd all agreed to take tonight's patrol off, letting Babs, Helena, Dinah, and Zinda handle it in exchange for tackling the massive human trafficking ring in the morning with fresh eyes and cleared heads. The job was the only thing that had gotten Jason to agree to work with them in the first place. Bruce barely managed to strong-arm Jason into sleeping in the manor, with a decent amount of guilting from Alfred.
Jason, who was in the room only a few feet away from Dick. The room that Tim's hand was resting on the doorknob of.
"That's Jason's room," Dick said slowly.
Tim just nodded. "I know." He wasn't whispering like Dick was, but his tone remained impossible to read.
He just saw Dick walk out of Bruce's room. Had he put it together? It was Tim, after all. if he hadn't yet, Dick assumed he only had a couple minutes before it dawned on Tim.
"What were you doing in Jason's room?" Dick frowned. If he focused on Tim, it could keep the focus off of him for as long as possible. Dick tried to ignore how fast his heart was beating.
Tim's expression was hard to make out in the dark. "We were talking about the case." Still, his tone remained entirely neutral.
Too neutral, for Tim.
"At two am?"
"Well, what were you doing?" Tim huffed slightly when he said it, folding his arms over his chest.
He was shirtless, Dick just realized.
Shirtless and coming out of Jason's room.
"I was-" Dick stumbled over his words, choking as he tried to come up with an alibi. "We were talking about the-"
"I already used that excuse, pick your own," Tim deadpanned. Dick was pretty sure he also rolled his eyes. "I've known about you and Bruce for years, you know. You don't have to pretend."
The noise that came out of Dick's throat was almost as mortifying as the realization that not only did Jason likely know, but so did Tim.
"It... okay it has not been years," Dick's face was hot and he was glad it was too dark for Tim to see his blush. "I mean- it's been a while but not years-"
"Whatever you say." Tim shrugged, sounding unconvinced. "There have been feelings between you two for years, close enough for me."
If Dick died, right here, in this hallway in front of Bruce's door, he hoped the cause of death would be put down as homicide instead of natural causes. Because every word from Tim's mouth made another piece of Dick die inside, just a little.
"It's none of your business either way." Dick tried to stand up straight to sound more in control of the situation, clearing his throat.
"Trust me, I don't want it to be my business."
Dick would've laughed, if this was happening to anyone but him.
"What about... you and Jason?" Dick asked carefully.
Tim shifted on his feet. "What about it? I told you, we were talking about the case."
"Right." It was Dick's turn to roll his eyes. "In his bedroom, at two am, without your shirt?"
Tim stared at Dick for a long, torturous moment. A moment that made Dick agree with Tim, about not wanting to know any sordid details.
"I'm going to bed," Tim said suddenly, turning away from Dick. "Goodnight."
Dick had a thousand more questions he wanted to ask. How Tim and Jason even got together, when it happened. Last Dick knew, they could barely stand to be in the same room.
But Tim was walking away at an alarmingly brisk pace and Dick just sighed. He was too tired and mortified about his own secrets to chase Tim down for an impromptu interrogation that would just end up embarrassing them both more.
Maybe it was best for Dick's sanity if he didn't know the specifics.
Dick didn't consider how awkward it would be until he was standing in the kitchen, staring at Jason bent over a cup of coffee.
Did Jason know Dick knew? It didn't seem like he did, but he had always had a good poker face.
When Tim ambled into the kitchen and grabbed overnight oats from the fridge, he didn't even look at Dick. He seemed to be pointedly avoiding it, sitting as far away from Dick as he could at the oversized dining room table.
All while Dick couldn't seem to stop staring.
"Your cereal is going to get soggy," Jason muttered, and it took Dick a moment to realize Jason was talking to him. "At least eat it before trying to explode my head with your mind, or whatever your staring problem is."
"I'm not-" Dick stuttered. he shut himself up with a mouthful of cereal when Cass gave him an odd look.
Would she be able to figure it out just from his body language?
Dick had never fully understood the lengths her ability to read people could go. he looked away from her and stared at a random spot on the table, trying to eat at a normal pace.
Bruce was the last to wander into the kitchen. He squeezed Dick's shoulder as he walked by, making Dick jump. It was an innocent enough touch that no one would question, but all Dick could think about was the brief look from Tim before he quickly averted his eyes again.
The silence around the table was going to eat Dick alive. He started eating cereal faster.
"Oh for fuck's sake," Jason broke the tension, throwing his head back and slamming an empty mug down onto the table. "Everyone knows you two are fucking, alright?" He gestured between Dick and Bruce. "Stop being so goddamn weird about it, you're acting like there's a bomb in the room."
Bruce choked on his coffee. "Jason." He tried to sound reprimanding, but his voice was a few octaves too high.
Dick threw his hands in the air. "I knew you knew about that, but I didn't know about you and Tim until last night so excuse me for feeling a little awkward."
"You didn't know about what?" Bruce nearly yelled, spinning around to face Jason.
"Damnit, Dick!" Tim groaned, putting his head in his hands.
Jason just scoffed, pointing a fork at Bruce. "Oh don't even give me that self-righteous bullshit-"
Their argument went back and forth while Tim just rubbed his temples, muttering to himself and glaring at Dick.
Worst of all, Dick was pretty sure Cass was giggling next to him under her covered mouth.
Dick just sighed and ducked his head, dutifully waiting for the ground to open up and swallow him whole.
So much for his breakfast.

Coach Beard has a secret Traitors Club. It consists of himself, Nate and Jamie, ie people who have (at least in the opinion of one Willis Beard) betrayed Ted Lasso – but who have also learned the error of their ways through the goodness of Ted’s gentle heart.
(Yes, yes, you might argue that Jamie’s insulting remarks about Ted in 1x10 is a reasonable reaction to what, from Jamie’s POV, looks like Ted unreasonably dumping him, but a, I’m not sure that Beard knows that, and b, I’m not sure that Beard cares about that. You might also argue that Nate and Jamie have both learned a lot of stuff from people other than Ted, but: see the a and b of the previous sentence. And anyway, this is Beard’s club and you don’t get a say in his absurd selection criteria.)
Beard doesn’t inform anyone of the club’s existence. That includes the other members, Nate and Jamie, who just suddenly finds themselves regularly invited out for drinks with the most mysterious man either of them have ever met.
There are a lot of weird but oddly good talks about feelings. There are silences neither Jamie nor Nate know what to do with. And then there’s the football strategy chatter, which unites them all in a wild and eager frenzy, and an unexpected but pleasant sense of shared understanding.
Nate think it’s nice that Beard wants to hang and he’s not one to look a gift horse in the mouth anyway, so he doesn’t question the set-up. Jamie generally assumes that given the choice anyone would always choose to hang with him always, so. He’ll indulge his coach. They have a shared love of trivia.
Eventually Beard learns of Rebecca’s early transgressions, and (secretely) inducts her into the secret club. Club meetings get a whole lot more interesting from there on out.
#i love the idea of beard bonding with nate and jamie okay#without either nate or jamie grasping WHY this is happening#also#you can’t tell me their nights out with rebecca wouldn’t be a fucking BLAST#roy and keeley would BOTH be jealous#missing out on the fun#they’ll corner jamie and demand to know why HE gets to hang with those people#‘um i’m just great company ain’t i?’ jamie says#meaning every word#roy does not murder him#roy tries to force the truthout of beard instead#this fails as miserably as you’d expect it to#anyway back to the notion of beard and nate and jamie and rebecca going to karaoke…#which is where this ends up btw#jamie tartt#coach beard#nathan shelley#rebecca welton#ted lasso#my stuff

Kether: "My [favorite] card is The Fool, and there's a couple of reasons for that. One of the reasons, is that I did go to school in England. I did my A levels on Shakespeare, and my papers on the roll of the Fool in Shakespeare. And the thing about the Fool in Shakespeare, is nobody can tell these assholes who are king what is going on, except for the Fool. And the Fool is the one who tells the truth and can get away with it, cause you know--he's a dumb shit, and he doesn't know anything. And so all through Shakespeare, you see this pattern of the Fool being the only person who's telling it like it is."
Whitney: "Jester's privilege."
Taliesin: "Jester was a paid position specifically to have someone whose job it was to be--to say something where they were not gonna be executed."
Kether: "The other thing about The Fool, is that he is like this guileless character without, you know--he doesn't have any plan, he doesn't have any things that he's trying to do. And if you look at the Rider deck, he's just got his head in the sky, and he's about to like walk over this cliff--"
Taliesin: "He's got a familiar too, if I recall--in the Rider deck. Is there-is it a little cat, a little dog--"
Kether: "A little dog. And he's about to walk over this cliff, and and it's like...I just know, that at the bottom of the cliff, is paradise. Because he can't--he can't go wrong. He's got the fate of...he walks his own path. He doesn't know how to get off his own path. And it's really, really cool, and I get goosebumps..."
Whitney: "It's very much, 'leap and a net shall appear'...Talking about the misunderstood cards of the tarot--I think the Fool is one of them, the Devil...and Death also--
Taliesin: "Fool is a big one...And for those wondering, the reason there's not a cliff in here--is cause we don't need the cliff. We have the Nine Eyes on the tombstone--that is the jump. Molly was also The Fool in the Oracle deck we made, where he's walking over a warring army."
Kether: "And he's also dressed like The Fool."

#THE NINE EYES AS THE CLIFF AHHH---#my heart--#mollymauk tealeaf#taliesin jaffe#jumping up and down about all the fun crit role deck stuff--#also this notion that everything will work out in the end. fated happy coincidence of stumbling into paradise....#just. thinking of how much molly suffered. how much pain he wont through in his short brief life where every moment of joy counted#how in the end he's able to reach back out to lucien and reconcile with him. shake hands on it and go back home together#both of them being reborn together again. another chance for a happy end. for another life with the family who loved him--#my heart.....

there's just something about how, through wang qing's voice, cheng xiaoshi breathes life into his own feelings,

"just due to some difference, i've been judged, ignored, and bullied by everyone around me."
the bullying wang qing faced may have been for a different reason, but it's bullying nonetheless, it's these teenagers harming and holding power over another "just due to some difference", it's what happened to a young cheng xiaoshi after his parents left him, it's what continues to happen to so many children and teenagers all because they're perceived as "different", and others deem this difference as "wrong", as enough of a reason to justify their cruel behaviour.
these lines are universal in that sense, anyone who's been on the receiving end of such ostracization, of such hurt and humiliation, would relate to it, and this is why it's just so, so cathartic when he has this outburst — lc lays emphasis not only on his heartbreak at being abandoned, but also everything else he has had to endure because of said abandonment.
#so hi im babbling again#and i dont know if i'll ever shut up about this scene bc it was just so. good#sighh#also. this wasn't going to be a post about the bullying but about how cxs is inhabiting a girl's body when he has this outburst#gender roles & and how lc plays with them in this scene?#on the surface 'wang qing''s outburst would conform to the existing age-old notion of "girls being more in tune with their emotions'#but the audience knows that the words and emotions here are all coming from CXS; a guy; and so: emotions transcend those gender roles#lol it's not relevant to the scene but. seemed like a fun n interesting digression#...and so we somehow ended up here. welp. that one's for another day i guess#link click#shiguang daili ren#yingdu chapter#cheng xiaoshi#ru.rambles

Double Indemnity, Spellbound and how a retroactive plot twist kicked the communities ass (which also has some VERY interesting implications for Aventio)
I had a very enlightening conversation on TikTok about the nature of these two romance/thrillers, and while unfortunately, I have no idea how to watch them, the plot synopses I’ve seen and analysis other people have made have caused me to come to this conclusion/interpretation of these references:
On the first viewing of the Double Indemnity questline, the reference to the DI movie is meant to be played straight, with Aventurine and Ratio being just as doomed to fail as they are in the movie, and their relationship as equally as toxic and fake.
On second viewing, it’s the complete opposite, and the track (and other movie reference) you receive at the end, Spellbound, proves it.
Let’s start with Double Indemnity.
Also disclaimer I’m gonna be over simplifying the plot/themes of these movies because a) both are singular references, DI is only referenced in the name of the quest itself and Spellbound is only referenced in a track you receive once you complete DI, and references this small probably aren’t meant to be anything more than a fun Easter egg for those who notice it b) this is hoyoverse they aren’t clever enough for that anyways c) the nature of references isn’t going to be having everything be the exact same anyways, so I’m just going to go with the overall interpretation of DI + Spellbound/their impact, picking the stuff which aligns with the actual plot of the DI quest, I don’t care what happens in one frame at 30:01.56 minutes in and neither do the writers
Anyways, how does the Double Indemnity reference on the first viewing seem?
On our first play through of the Double Indemnity quest, we are made to believe that Dr. Ratio and Aventurine do not trust each other, but they are begrudgingly working together for the sake of stealing Penacony for the IPC. Then, Aventurine makes it seem as if he wishes to use the singer Robin’s- also the sister of Sunday, the head of the Oak Family and the one they are negotiating with- death as a means to pressure Sunday into forking over some of the Family’s secrets, which Aventurine will then use against him in future negotiations.
With this setup, the Double Indemnity reference is a solemn warning- Aventurine and Ratio will fail.
You see, in the movie, Phyllis Dietrechson intends to kill her husband in order to earn the money from the Double Indemnity clause (which is a real legal thing btw!), roping in one Walter Neff when he falls for her. However, their relationship isn’t stable and in the end, Walter betrays Phyllis, ratting her out to the investigator Keyes, ultimately meaning they don’t earn the DI clause, also killing Phyllis in the process.
Hopefully you can already see where I’m going with this, but it’s time to draw some fun parallels.
Sunday is Keyes, Ratio is Walter, Aventurine is Phyliss and Robin is Phyliss’s husband.
Although Aventurine a) isn’t married to Robin and b) he didn’t actually kill her, he is the one who witnessed her “death” and in the first viewing of the Double Indemnity quest, we are made to believe he intends to profit off of it, although this time the payout isn’t money: it’s Penacony.
To do this, he enlists the help of Ratio- albeit not seducing him, but still convincing him to help nonetheless- and together they go to meet Sunday for negotiations.
However, Ratio “betrayed” Aventurine, ratting him out to Sunday behind his back and informing him of his plan, which mirrors how Walter confesses to Keyes. This results in Aventurine being sentenced to death, much like how Phyllis dies by Walter’s hand, Aventurine seems like he will die by Ratio’s, calling him a wretch before slinking off.
And there you go, their partnership is as doomed as the one in the movie, failing because their trust + love didn’t hold up till the end, a devious foreshadowing.
At least, that’s how it seems on the first playthrough.
Because Aventurine and Ratio’s plan SUCCEEDS.
And on the second viewing, knowing that the betrayal is fake, you realize they succeed because they do the one thing the people in DI (and I’ll get to Spellbound) DONT do- they actually TRUST each other.
Ratio and Aventurine’s plot is a success. And it’s because they deliberately made it seem like they were doing a Double Indemnity plot. Like they were going to make the same mistakes as the characters in the movie. Sunday falls for the false appearance hook, line and sinker, and that’s his downfall.
They win because they TRUST each other, you can even say because they actually LOVE each other, unlike the characters in the movie, where it’s more list than anything else. Walter and Phyllis don’t make it together to the end but Ratio and Aventurine DO, and they get to continue on with their lives because of it. The reference to Double Indemnity in this quest is genius because it works both before and after you learn the retroactive twist of Penacony. It makes you believe Aventurine + Ratio are doomed to fail, and it makes you realize they were always going to succeed, expertly dawning the false appearances Sunday expects from them, becoming literal actors playing out the roles of two people who will fall short due to their selfishness. Sunday believes he’s seen this film before which is why he BUYS IT, and god it’s just beautiful looking back on it. He thinks he’s Keyes about to uncover a dastardly plot to profit off his sisters death, and in turn he paints Ratio and Aventurine with the identities of those he believes would do such a thing, which they do their best to play into. Ugh it’s amazing.
And now, for Spellbound.

You receive this track after completing Double Indemnity, containing the description above.
Now, this is a reference to Spellbound, another one of Hitchcock’s films.
The main characters in this one are Dr. Anthony Edwards, a man suffering from amnesia, and Dr. Constance Peterson, a psychoanalyst who he was meant to replace, who discovers a dark secret about Edward’s while they fall for one another; he’s an imposter. He believes he killed the real Dr. Edward’s, but she thinks he’s just suffering from a guilt complex. Fake Edward’s goes missing, and the real Edward’s assistant arrived and informs them that he’s missing. She finds Fake Edward again, living under the pseudonym John Brown, and although he tries to leave, she convinces him to stay, telling him that with the help of her mentor, psychoanalysis can help recover his lost memories.
Through an incredibly complicated psychoanalysis of dream, Constance begins to uncover the truth- learning the person who believes himself to be Dr. Edward’s (and is using the pseudonym John Brown) is actually a man named John Ballantyne. Ballantyne accidentally caused the death of his younger brother in the past, resulting in his deep guilt, as well as recalling the location where the real Edwards died- skiing off a cliff to his death. With his memories, they find the body, but it has a bullet wound, so Ballantyne is taken into custody.
However, her boss, Dr. Murchison lets it slip that he actually used to know (and didn’t like) Dr. Edwards, and through another complicated sequence gets him to confess his guilt and ultimately kill himself, which frees Ballantyne, ending the movie with the two going on a honeymoon.
So, what does this mean in the context of the quest line?
Well, let’s say Ballantyne and Constance are representative of Ratio and Aventurine respectively.
“Every psychoanalyst must first have someone else diagnose them.”
If we read Aventurine as the psychoanalyst (Constance) and Ratio as the diagnoser/doctor (Ballantyne), it reveals an interesting interpretation.
That being that they knew the truth from the start/ they had already succeeded.
Or in other words, unlike in Double Indemnity, in Spellbound, they actually succeed.
In the film, Constance is the one doing the diagnosing, the one trying to figure out the truth, and you can see that in Aventurine pretending he’s trying to find out the truth behind Robin’s death. However, in the DI quest, it’s the opposite. Ratio’s as Ballantyne is the one doing the diagnosing for the psychoanalysist, Constance, or rather, Aventurine.
To diagnose someone, you must be very familiar with them, or at the very least the ailment plaguing them, and Ratio he knows Aventurine through and through at the start, and what plagues him (his own sense of meaninglessness) unlike the protagonists in Spellbound who despite falling for one another quickly, don’t begin being intimately familiar with one another.
In this way, they have already succeeded. Aventurine and Ratio already know one another, and while they might not know the reason behind Robin’s death, that was never what they were searching for in the beginning, meaning they effectively can skip through all the drama (aka the ups and downs of Spellbound, finding out the truth behind Robin’s/Edwards’ death), and reach their happy ending- a honeymoon; or in DI’s case, Aventurine attaining his cornerstone, and fulfilling his end of the plan.
Interestingly, Aventurine slots into the role of Ballantyne and Ratio as Constance equally well, with the phone call Constance makes to save Ballantyne being reminiscent of the note Ratio makes to save Aventurine, as well as Aventurine being the replacement, or in the sense, the one to find the truth about Robin.
Personally, I think Aventurine and Ratio are reminiscent of both the main leads in Spellbound, which is why it’s complicated to discern the meaning of the reference. Oh how I wish I knew what the original Chinese description for this was (if you do please tell me 🙏).
Is it just meant to signify them being in love? Is it meant to signify that they will succeed, due to how well they know each other? Is it both, which is what the inclusion of Double Indemnity (the movie) suggests?
Either way, it adds onto the already present idea that the trust between Aventurine and Ratio is what allowed them to succeed in Penacony, and that’s not just something expressed by these movie references.
Think Aventurines Eidolons: Stag Hunt Game and Prisoner’s Dilemma, both of which are game theories about trust. Or how Aventurine says that Ratio knows him best, or how Ratio entrusts Aventurine with close secrets of his, like him being the “Genius” of the council of Mundanites.
“Do you trust me?” “That depends on you.”
These are 2 lines in their 2.0 conversation that really stick out to me. Ratio will always offer his trust so long as Aventurine can prove himself worthy of it, and as we have seen, Aventurine always delivers, proving himself long before Penacony in the Final Victor lightcone, albeit in his weird homoerotic way.
Therefore Ratio will always trust him.
And because of that, they win.
Now whether you take the deep trust between them to be romantic or platonic, or infer the literal honeymoon at the end of Spellbound to mean something for Aventio, either way the feeling absolutely there, and it’s crucial for an understanding of their relationship.
Also damn, the retroactive plot twist fucking slaps.
#hsr#honkai star rail#dr ratio#aventurine#aventio#ratiorine#Sunday hsr#Robin hsr#poor Robin gets mcguffined in this I fear#I need to watch these two movies for real but idk what streaming served would even have them 😭#Thanks Wikipedia for the plot summary ily#Me reading the “the went on a honeymoon” on Wikipedia as the ending for SB 🤨#Aventio honeymoon when#I think it’s romantic but unfortunately I have been bullied into believing the romance in SB is toxic#Even though it’s clear now that any notion of that is just due to Ballantyne’s trauma#I mean they go on a fucking honeymoon#Imo if the film didn’t support them why do that then?#Especially because Ballantyne is innocent#This was so much fun to write#I hope it made sense#Thanks for reading :)

has anyone else thought of dexter and doakes with the twilight "i know what you are" scene yet, or is this a purely original experience?
because i wouldn't be surprised if it is, but it's also really funny to me. like the thought of doakes as a bella swan type character, but instead of being swept up by the new school, immediately sussing out that something's not right about dexter. and the biology class scene diverting immensely from the source material ("you give me the fucking creeps, you know that dexter?") with doakes instantly targeting dexter, who, in all his decades of covert vampirism ("people think it's fun pretending you're a monster. me, I spend my life pretending I'm not.") has never been immediately compromised by an ordinary person before ("the only real question I have is why in a building full of cops [people]... is Doakes the only one who gets the creeps from me?").
in my head they aren't even teenagers or anything. this is just fully adult doakes and dexter implanted into twilight, and somehow it's normal.
#god i love being ridiculous on the internet.#i love crackshipping.#i love playing with media that weren't intentionally made to go together despite compatible notions of monstrosity and discovery.#dexter as a vampire is also just fun. befitting.#dexter#dexter showtime#dexter morgan#james doakes#doaxter

Okay, so while aware!Roy and oblivious!Jamie isn’t necessarily my main hc for these two, never let it be said I’m not prepare to play around with notions for the funny hell of it. So when I saw the above-linked post by @roykentschesthair, I immediately started thinking about post-S3 Roy knowing that he’s attracted to Jamie, and knowing that Jamie is attracted to him as well.
Jamie knows neither of these things.
Eventually Roy starts to nurture the idea that maybe him and Jamie should act on their mutual attraction, just to, you know, see where it leads? Given that they’re already best friends and that they’re obviously very into each other physically (even if only one of them realizes it that at this point), getting together could well lead to something pretty amazing, yeah?
Only, there’s the fact that Roy is Jamie’s new gaffer and while there’s strictly speaking no rules about a coach dating his player, Roy strongly feels that it might be just a little bit iffy for him to proposition Jamie. Like he’d be taking advantage. Putting undue pressure on the lad. Now, if Jamie were to proposition Roy, however… Well. It’d still be iffy, but Roy can live with that.
Unfortunately Jamie is utterly clueless about being into men in general and into Roy in particular. Cue Roy trying, with mounting frustration and desperation, to rouse Jamie to the fact that he is in fact not just vaguely appreciative of the male form in a stricly professional manner. Attempts might include choosing certain films for their occassional movie nights and dropping less and less subtle comments during them, as well as increasingly suggestive exercises during the private training session they still do twice a week. Roy has, however, already been far too weird about those exercises, so nothing he throws at Jamie seems to faze him even a little, or lead to any revelations.
If it weren’t for the fact that she’s already been very clear on never wanting to mediate their bullshit, he’d ask Keeley to have a word with Jamie, bisexual to bisexual. Maybe he’ll even brave it, because he. can’t. do. this. for. much. longer.
In the meantime, Jamie is pleased as punch that Roy is giving him even more attention than before, and no, Isaac, of course it ain’t weird that he tied me up like that, it’s to strenghten my core, yeah? Felt dead good, too, you should try it.
(Bonus point if Jamie once the other shoe finally drops immediately goes to Colin for help on downloading Grindr and maybe taking him to a gay bar and act as wingman while Jamie explores this new side of himself. Colin looks up to meet Roy’s death stare across the dressing room, and immediately invents like a million excuses why he can’t, not tonight, and probably not tomorrow, or ever, actually, sorry, Jamie.)

hiii cool drawing person!! I uh saw that you kind of do requests? So I was wondering if I could request a little doodle of Yesod hugging Netzach.. I feel like Netzach goes through so much hell that he'd need that, and Yesod would like to give affection to someone considering his uh. . . prior need to delete a bunch of information and pretend that no one who died existed you know ? Plus snake.. haha good at squeezing. and he's chest height, how stupid <3 thank you so much for making so many people's days with your art and your thoughts oh my god your thoughts. i love how you dissect these little freaks 🥺

hi neat anonymous sender!! thank you so much for your words!!! im so glad that i can bring some sort of joy and happiness even if it is small. and that my thoughts and writings are well received still. i am still in a bit of a shock that people like and read them even with the passing time. . . i hope youre okay with these doodles! thank you for sending this in
#library of ruina#netzach#netzach lor#yesod#yesod lor#intimacy. i suppose romantic? what ever is wanted. regardless of what the affection could be categorized as its still affection#mister viper. looked briefly into it so i dont know the particulars but it seems that venomous snakes dont really curl around their prey#considering the toxins would immobilize with out a need to go ahead and hold them down. not to say that they Dont curl but constriction is#more typically thought of as pythons or boas. mister boa. hehehe.#netz is typically just happy to be in the presence of or around those he likes. see carmen for example. so physical grounded touch to affirm#the fact of proximity and. i guess realness? would be nice i think. ability to wait and still stay by the side i guess. he has a thing with#expecting or thinking things to leave. not as much anymore and being more brave or fearless inspite of that preconceived notion but still#i cant quite articulate it the way i want it but its the general idea resigned acceptance now turning to budding change yet still there#which is why it can be scary. or had seemed pointless to go ahead and fight against an inevitable. so just a kind of physical reassurance#and patience and staying is nice. for yesod its to where i wanted him to typically be drawn w his arms on the outside isntead of boxed in?#a thing w restriction. if youre hugged and your arms are on the inside you lose that mobility and ability to move. feels like it would be a#comfort thing to just be able to have the arms in a position that can move even if logically it is alright and a safe environment#i wanted netzs hold to be there and present still but kind of lazy? dual nature of have it more limp or lax bc its netz but also bc it would#have it to where it wouldnt be confining. but still embracing. sort of thing#also w the sheets. based a little off my own experiences? remind of it. when overstimulated or just in HELL mentally sheets and blankets#feel like they tangle and bind and serve to distress than anything positive. so yk. duality of man. weighted blanket to be encased in a#cacoon or no sheets at all to be free and able to move. but yeah. main idea. also then realized that id have to draw more bc of that#[cent miscellaneous]#there was more but they were Too Sketchy... tis okay. suprised i was able to get anything done rn in the first place even if small#... i never thought abt it i guess these are kinda requests. i mean thats chill and fun but like. huh

I'm a Turbo lover, yes...
But Ralph is my babygirl... Poor guy deserved so much better pre-movie. He's such a genuine sweetheart who's down-to-earth, compassionate and a gentle giant despite his circumstances. I just... gahhhh, I wanna give him a kiss on the cheek and a freshly made pie.
Thinking about what those 30 years must've been like for him hurts my heart. Do you think he tried to connect with the Nicelanders and Felix but had his attempts ignored? Or did something go wrong and they never gave him another chance? ;-;
And the desperation in his voice when he crash-landed in Sugar Rush and saw his medal stuck in the tree? The way he spoke to Tapper and said so wholeheartedly that he can't spend another 30 years alone? Breaks my heart, man...
Gah, and considering how Tamora's backstory affects her... Idk, the fact that it's programmed that Ralph used to have a comfortable home and had that taken away from him? Does he think back to those coded memories when he didn't sleep in the dump? Even though he knows those memories aren't "real" in a sense, does that really matter in the grand sense of things? MAN.
Also, his dynamic with Vanellope makes me wanna cry, it's so wholesome and makes me think of my relationship with one of my best internet friends, who I see as a father figure. He cares about her so much and though he fell for what King Candy/Turbo tried selling him, it was purely out of concern for Vanellope.
I could honesly go on and on and on, haha-
So yes, I'm a Turbo lover.
But I'm a Ralph lover, sympathiser and appreciator.
I want him so bad I mean what, who said that.
#wir#wreck it ralph#froggy rambles#fandom ramblings#fix it felix#I don't believe Felix is innocent in how Ralph was treated for all of those years#I know he's naturally nonconfrontational and wants to please everyone; the Nicelanders and kinda “the majority”#but he just... never stopped to think “hey we're kinda treating this guy like shit."#“he's literally sleeping in a dump”#“maybe I can be nicer to him?”#NOPE!#He just... lets this go on for 30 years#I know he eventually got perspective and saw the error of his treatment#but still#I see this as a very fun aspect of his character btw!#Like he's “nice” but in ways that don't challenge his preconcieved notions or make him step outside of his comfort zone#long post

Catherine cast her mind briefly through the last few days’ activity; found nothing in her memory but the usual list-assembly, the data-sift. “Don’t tell me,” she said. “Cartwright’s blown a fuse, and we all burn down with him.”
“Not a million miles off,” Lamb admitted.
Slow Horses, Mick Herron.
I think what I enjoy most about these two together is their shared perceptiveness. If I had to describe it: Lamb reads the situation; Standish considers the people. And both land on a very good understanding of the circumstances.
(River was probably designated a problem from his very first day in Slough House)
#catherine standish#jackson lamb#river cartwright#slow horses#reading: slow horses#very fun notion that Catherine’s just been waiting for River’s inevitable crash this whole time

annoying conversations happening on twitter this week about dazai and his canonical whoreness .... very ableist delivery of people treating him like a tiny 22 yr old minor who clearly doesn't know what sex is and its getting weeeeeiirrrrd ...........
#like idk and idc about other peoples perceptions but to me dazai fucks#its in the source material regarding the fact that hes a DOG and nobody understands how he manages to charm women#women send him love notes to the office bcs he doesnt give out his address......uses sex as a tool and people can infer what they want#but i dont have it has having any nefarious meaning other than he knows himself well and how to get what he wants#and (in MY mind) enjoys it :p#he says he appreciates ALLLL women#women being official the source content but to me he's a man with no preference :p#what i find ableist is the notion that someone with clear though unstated mental illnesses must be “protected” and “he doesnt know what#sex is" like come on. we read the same stuff#youre saying it because you think it gets in the way of ur fav ships that he whores around#well guess what!!!!! he does!!!!!#so what!!!!!! live with it!!!!!! everyone else has to!!!!!#women cry in the source content and i infer that to be bcs he just straight up ghosts them after#maybe he sees a couple of people a few times but for the most part#he dips </3#but we dont need to pretend hes innocent and like#sex - afraid#im tirrredddd of these takes they stink and theyre not fun to read#tldr: my dazai fucks (and WANTS TO!!!!!!!! SEEKS IT OUT!!!! ENJOYS IT!!!! SKILLED LOVER THAT U CANT HAVE!!!!)#(unless u get him.....then hes devoted teehee<3)#enuff said i think#ACTUALLY FURTHER POINT. hes a flirt and a whore. PROUD!!!!!!!!!#he gives u the eyes and he'll have u wrapped around his fingerrrr anyway. thats it now
