actually I love Tentoo and he is the Doctor and it was the only ending for Rose that worked and it is a huge gift to be able to have the man she loves grow old with her, they were always heading for that, y'all be quiet. I 100% understand the angst but it's okay, they're okay, good ending-

#did you want her to...not end up with the doctor?#she ended up with the doctor. she ended up with the doctor and they get to AGE together #they get to have a real honest relationship the way they both always genuinely wanted #it's hard that the full time lord version has to carry on without her but that is the way that character's story ALWAYS goes #the doctor does not get to keep ANYONE. it would be a different show if he did #meanwhile there is a version of that same face of his - the one that was MADE for love? particularly born out of love for ROSE? the one 1/2 #2/2 that always wanted a FAMILY? and stability? and a normal life? the tenth doctor longed for that specifically because of rose #now he gets to have it AND be part-human so he doesn't have to watch her get old. he gets old WITH HER #and they're canonically growing their own Tardis so you don't even have to be sad that they're not adventuring in time and space as usual #because they ARE. it's the kindest ending for either character. and if the full time lord hadn't left without either of them-#-he would have had to lose them eventually. lose Rose because she's human? hello? painful? but instead he was selfless and left her-#-with a proper happy ending. which she CHOSE to have so you can't be like “he tricked her!” she chose to kiss one of them and it was Tentoo #they are the same man. After Dick failed to get himself incarcerated, he became an enforcer for a mob boss named Tommy Tevis. Tommy took Dick in and made him part of his family. Tommy considered him an honorary son and thought very highly of him.

Nightwing (Vol. 2) #107

He even told Dick that everything he had (his home, his reputation, his family, etc.) was Dick's as well. Lynette, Tommy's wife, told Dick that Tommy would let Dick do anything. The whole family loved Dick, including Tommy's 15 year old daughter, Sophia. Sophia actually had a crush on Dick, but Dick acted like an older brother to her, helping her with her homework and such.

While Dick was away from the family for a few days, the cops busted into the Tevis's home. Lynette got killed in the gunfire, Tommy got taken to jail, and Sophia got taken in by the state.

Dick, while mentoring Rose, broke Sophia out of the state home. He got Sophia to help him with the mob. Then, when Chemo fell on Bludhaven, Dick saved Sophia and left her with Amy. When they reunited at the hospital, Dick asked Sophia to leave the mob behind and join a boarding school.

So, yeah, that's Dick's relationship with the Tevis family.

#no but i love when tommy tells dick that bruce must be proud of him--and dick gets this shameful look on his face and stays quiet #and then tommy playfully pinches dick's cheek and tells him not to worry bc he thinks dick is great/he thinks highly of dick #i mean say what you want about tommy being in the mob and all--but he does seem to be tuned in to dick's emotions #and when the other mobster was kinda grilling dick about being bruce's heir--tommy was frowning real hard on dick's behalf #and he later checked in with dick and was like hey that was kind of shitty and i don't want you feeling like your back's against the wall #like idk it just shows that tommy does care about dick--and he knows bruce is a sore spot for dick #dick--on the other hand--is a bit more emotionally distant from the family #he's just gone through some very traumatizing events and now he's doing some morally questionable things #so there's no way he can be truly authentic with the family when his whole lifestyle is now inauthentic to who he really is #and we see that when dick goes on a job that has a kid involved--and he didn't know there would be a kid there #and he gets very upset about a gun being involved and having a kid watch her dad get beat #so even though he might care about the tevis family--i don't think he could ever feel Truly part of the family #honestly wish a writer would bring back sophia though. would be nice to see dick still in contact with her #Dick Grayson #Tommy Tevis #anon

on one hand, it's kinda unfortunate that the very first time hera ever says minkowski's name in the show she mispronounces it the way eiffel does, and it's obviously one of those early series growing pains type things. however. on the other hand. it exists in the show and in-universe it becomes one of those "spending too much time with eiffel" things instead. he got in her head. after being the primary person she's been speaking to for hundreds of days by that point, something like that was bound to happen eventually.

#wolf 359 #w359 #doug eiffel #hera wolf 359 #there's so much intentionality with names and who calls who what. when and why. that sure is a sentence #that those early parts of the show where things. aren't as careful. end up having other implications they weren't really meant to have #gabriel urbina has said so many times that he wishes that line in ep 13 was the first time minkowski called eiffel 'doug'. yeah. i get it.#and then you have... i don't think this with hera and minkowski is really that meaningful in terms of their relationship #but it is an interesting mistake in that. since eiffel is the only one who mispronounces minkowski's name and he doubled down on that #out of disrespect.#it does kinda like strangely work in how it accidentally aligns hera with eiffel. though she would never do that to minkowski on purpose #i think after a certain point it's just habit for eiffel but it's definitely. something. that you can tell how much respect he's showing #at any given moment through most of the show just by whether he calls her 'minkowski' (mispronounced) or 'commander'#and then of course you have hera calling eiffel 'doug' in am i alone now and then never again and never to his face. which.#someday i'll figure out how to express how i feel about that.

#my friend cut me off for being mean to a guy she didn't even know #and said she hated how i treated ppl but she literally stalked his account to find his brother and post in our gc that hes hot #and proceeded to ask if he's bisexual #i was mean to him bc he kept standing me up so i said he can hangout now or im done talking to him #she was so mad at me for it too and ended a 6 year friendship ovr it #i cant help but to be upset she left and i started subconsciously blaming her #like she didn't know my dad was gonna die etc. but i was with her 24/7 when her family member died #I WAS WATCHING MY GRANDMA WHO HAD CANCER BTW.#like she didn't care at all abt me and it's so hard to face that while not having my dad #then i made a new friend and we talked for awhile but she cut me off randomly w/out any reason #and ive been crying over it #i just feel like i am an issue and problem #I have a horrible habit of only choosing one person to talk to and then facing the repercussions of it when they leave (isolated)#and i know it's my fault but i wish ppl told me what i did wrong or what i did to make them mad/uncomfortable/sad bc i can fix my behavior #but if they just leave it shows they didn't really want to be my friend and that's ok but #all i have is my husband and it gets so boring my life shouldn't revolve around him yet it does because I'm so inept at talking
