Okay, I have seen this scene before. The boys obviously in some kind of therapy. I just, honestly thought it was part of the whole therapy episode that, I think, comes in a later season.

But apparently I get BOTH!

The fact that Steve then corrects him down to the day. Yeah, someone's been paying attention.

Yes I’m doing another event for another milestone–don’t kill me please.

So welcome to my 1.5k follower event! Thank you to everyone that helped me get this far, I truly appreciate all your love and support with my writing. Interacting with some of you has been the highlight of my year and really motivates me to continue with this blog!

Anyway, onto more about this event! There will be TWO options to choose from; either trope drabbles or song inspired drabbles. 

Allow me to elaborate on each one: 

For tropes, you’d pick a romance trope from the list I’ve provided along with the name of a fandom, and I’d write a brief 500 word or less drabble of a character from the fandom you chose that I think fits that trope the best, along with a brief drabble of seeing the trope and that character in action (pls why is it so hard to explain this) 

And for song inspired drabbles, it’s just as stated–you’d send me a song (i’ll have a few examples if you can’t think of one) along with a character and one quote from the song you’d like me to include (this is optional) and I’d write a little something for you. Under 500 words.

If this is confusing then please continue reading so I can hopefully clear those confusions up lol.

My first interpretation of them

Honestly I just felt bad for him. I basically knew him as the kid who got grounded all the time and he seemed sweet enough, he was actually one of my faves from the beginning haha

2. When I think I started to truly like him

Honestly the Fun With Veal episode. And in the Butters’ Bottom Bitch episode where he just kept going ‘do you know what I am saying?’ I just thought it was funny lol

(Kinda a joint one) but You and Me (But Mostly Me) from Book of Mormon is SO Butters and Cartman. Also The Weight of Us by Sanders Bohlke.

Probably in the earlier seasons when he was just used as Kenny’s counterpart for the shows punching bag. Idk, it just felt like he didn’t really have any character or personality back then

16. A childhood headcanon

He lived on a farm for a little bit when he was a baby. They moved from Hawaii to say Oklahoma, then to South Park when he was three. Hence the accent. He also had a pet chick up until he was 7 or so named Toast. His parents made him give the chick away tho

17. What do you think their first word was?

Probably just mama or something. I do have a headcanon he still calls his mom (or his unofficial mother figure) mama sometimes.

18. How do I think he was as a kid?

He was probably really hyper. He subdued when he got older tho because his parents kept grounding him for accidentally breaking stuff when he would run around

19. The most random ship I’ve seen with this character

Butters x Craig. Like ???? They never interacted in the show lol-

20. A weird headcanon

Butters has a huge sweet tooth and if there’s candy or sweets in his vicinity he’ll devour it in an instant and likely suffer from a bellyache later

21. When do I think they were at his happiest?

Probably when he moved out and went to college tbh. He was just happy to get away from his toxic ass family. Or when his grandma finally dies.

22. When do I think he was at his lowest?

I do headcanon that when he’s in middle school he finally snaps. He becomes angry and kinda becomes a bully because he doesn’t feel like he has anyone who cares about him, it’s probably only for a few days at most but he just snaps at everyone, makes fun of everything everyone does, but after a few days Kenny (and maybe Cartman or Kyle) kinda confronts him and he ends up apologizing and trying to find someone to talk to.

23. Future headcanon

I wanna imagine that he lives on a farm, he has a bunch of chickens and goats (his favs) and some cows, pigs, even ducks. He gets a pet dog (a Border Collie) named Waffles. He kinda owns a petting zoo of sorts where younger kids just stop by and he educated them about animals and stuff. He also owns a bakery. He names it ‘Buttery Bliss’ or something

24. What do you think i’d a secret they’ve never told anyone?

Probably the thing with his sphincter and how he has to wear diapers in school sometimes. He probably only told AWESOM-O because he thought it was just a robot. But after that he didn’t tell anyone because he would definitely get made fun of :(

Probably in The Worldwide Privacy Tour. Kyle even said ‘this is really out of character for you, Butters.’ so probably that lol, or in Going Native. I mean he literally wanted to kill a bunch of innocent people

26. When do I think they were being “themselves” the most?

Honestly? Probably when he was singing the Loo Loo Loo song, it kinda just showed his cuter side. Or in Cartman Sucks when his parents sent him to the Pray teh Gay Away camp because he was just so oblivious to where he was but still stood up for himself and his friends in the end

27. If they could meet a certain character from a different show/movie/book, who would be the most fun for them to meet?

Hello kitty. This kid would be in HEAVEN if Hello kitty was real. Either Hello kitty or Tails the Fox. Him and Tails are pretty similar. Plus fluffy fox meets sunshine boy, they’d get along-or just him in the pokémon world. Yes.

28. The most unnecessary thing they ever did?

Probably when he was trying to get the Hawaiian tourists killed in war

29. How do I think they’d be as a parent?

Honestly? He spoils the shit out of his kids. He’s a huge pushover, but not to the point where his kids become spoiled brats. He probably exposes them to animals early so he could get them to know what’s good and what isn’t when on the farm. He supports his children, but he’s probably a very sheltering parent if that makes sense. Has no idea what he’s doing at first but eventually gets the hang of it. He loves playing make believe with them, would totally play dress up and such.

30. The funniest scene they ever had?

When he’s Professor Chaos and trying to be all menacing and Dougie has to keep telling him the Simpsons already did his idea and he’s just like ‘aw hamburgers :(‘

Idk if you read those books (but I don't think so since you're not really a romantic fan iirc?), but the emily henry fandom is currently talking about the fan cast for the next adaptations. I think she's adapting 6-7 of her book (very popular in the rom com world). Next one will star tom blyth and emily bader. I've seen also fab cast for Ayo and Paul Mescal.

And I couldn't help but think about Tom being cast in one of those projects. Lot of people want him to be in a romcom because , I quote "no one take him seriously as an actor anyway so he should do that instead". But I'm 100% sure they would rip him apart if he was casted because he would ruin their fav fictional character in their heads. So I don't want him near that because he would again be harassed for this role, and it's hard to satisfy a book fandom as dedicated as they are. But truth is.. I know he would absolutely kill it as one of the leads (in Beach Read for example)😭 selfishly I would love to see him in that but I feel like Book adaptation are so tricky because expectation are there. Anyway I'm just rambling and thinking about what could happen next

I have a feeling (at like 65%) The winner is happening and I'm a bit perplexed because just like I said, with a book already out there people will already know what to expect and set their expectation high. Also I don't know if that type of story would be appealing for the audience, it would depend on the female cast too I guess. And Wd already mentioned it but the tennis theme Is meh for many reasons. At the same time I'm desperate to see him in something non- franchise so That would be fresh and new at least...

Honestly, I think he should take a break from book adaptations, at least for now. As you mentioned, the fan base is so dedicated that they'd likely react very negatively to him being cast in one of these movie adaptations. We already have enough to handle with Spider-Man and Uncharted fans, adding another would be a nightmare.

Also, Tom doesn't know (and doesn't want) to sell a romance-themed project. He literally sent a photo from an old photoshoot so they could recycle for the Romeo and Juliet poster. Not even one single photo with his co-star (and I'm talking about before all the backlash). So, I feel like fans need to give up the idea of him starring in a rom-com or something where romance is the very center of the story, because one thing is not having to promote a sold-out play, but he'd definitely need to promote a movie, for example. And I'm starting to think he's purposely avoiding interact with his female co-stars, who play his love interests, outside of the work environment (except for his girlfriend) and it's getting really obvious at this point, lol.

RE The Winner book: I don't think it's happening 🤷🏽. I can see Amy offering him the script or suggesting the book and throwing the idea at him, but that doesn't mean he's on board. My wild guess is that if that was the book he was reading, he only gave it a chance because it has 'thriller' in it, but I don't think he's interested.

As much as I think this is a brilliant idea to liveblog and would absolutely love to do it, I have unfortunately already seen Epithet Erased. I remember watching it since Dec 2019. I’ve watched it so many times on repeat that I mentally watch all 7 episodes. I manage to get a Giovanni Plush when they were on sale. This was a Pandemic Comfort Show for me and my sister when 2020 happened. I absolutely recommend this show every chance I get because it is incredible and amazing and everyone should watch it.

So yeah, sorry about not liveblogging it, but here’s some of my opinions about the show:

Ramsey Murdoch is my favorite character, I have a preference for rat bastard con men

I actually really disliked Giovanni when he first appeared. I thought he was just annoying Team Rocket. It took me to his and Molly’s heart-to-heart before I turned. Now he’s tied for Second fav

My sister’s most hated line in the series is “Why does your knife have a bat taped to it” which makes me laugh

I have never NOT quoted Indus whenever we go see dinosaur anything

In fact, we use a lot of quotes from this show all the time. “They Tried their Bargain Bin Best” “EVIL! Evil! Evil! Evil! Evil!” “Let me do my goddamned job”

Indus is also Second Fav. You can’t argue with stupid or himbo, and my man has both. He’s just way too earnest to hate even a little bit

Coupon Boy has top tier epithet power just for the sheer audacity of it being an actual decent power while being stupid as fuck

Ramsey’s line “Am I having an aneurysm what is happening” almost broke me which was bad because I was working at my old job when I first watched the series, so I had to really try not to laugh by my coworkers

Redwood Run is my favorite part, since it has all the coolest characters interacting with one another and the best action scenes (Zora, Howie, Percy, Ramsey, Giovanni)

I got a headcanon that the Epithet Erased world is either A) how things started out when Quirks first appeared like in MHA or B) the American version of how we would have treated Quirks

i think he's silly and funny and sily and i like him

me and my friend talk abt how dragunov's movements are so surgical, rehearsed, precise. they have such windups but when they connect they hit fast like a gunshot (the sound design helps sm with this imagery)

ive felt this way for tk7 but i love how after grapples he usually has little tactical ways to get back up

the automatic, reflexive way he fights is so cool (and attractive?! goes without saying i feel this way), he just wants to dispose of his opponent and get on with it, he's all business..

his heat startup and new rage art animation feels that way too, the glove adjust and the growl.. he's like let's get this shit done with already !!..

his heat smash shoulder bash too phwee!! <3 he uses all his body parts in such a intentional way.. he knows where and how to hit and hits hard

pair this with how he acts outside of business, he's always lost in thought and humming and in his own world.. its emphasised especially in tk8. i still love how he was a bit more ruthless in tk5-7, but i'd like to think bc he's on vacation he's a little more chill. he still has cold intros and outros tho, i forget how chilling the camera stare is supposed to be because i just think its cool </3

i always liked gap moe in my favs so yippie!

he's insanely attractive even to nonfans for a character whose design motifs revolve around the living dead; pale skin, dark lips, half lidded milky eyes (but they shine so cutely), sharp skeletal features. despite that he looks extremely chiselled its crazy.. i forget how much of a beast he is compared to the other male characters (incredibly tall.. like a scarecrow [scaring birds...no wonder the ravens have such a tough time w him] and i think one of the heaviest characters in the game)

apart from a few (nonromantic) relationships i like to think he's very solitary, so i'm not too interested in a lot of ships w him, but i usually dont care too much abt that stuff. theres like one and thats it lol. i just like seeing him be really cool. i am crazy fond of self ships like player/character, but thats mainly self indulgent and disconnected from canon..

even tho bryan and victor are my favs i like.. am not interested in them interacting seriously with him. dragunov's like toooo cool headed to really pay attention to them. i will forever love the idea that the raven unit has such a hard time with him but he doesn't really know any of them, like when he sees them he just feels like 'oh, it's them again. back to work.' with bryan too i like to think bryan likes him as per the ttt2 implication? but then gets bored because he just dispatches people too quickly and moves on, haha. a little ankle biter. i dont think dragunov is a sadist to the extent he is.

speaking of victor, in their intro, theres a little surprised squeak when he rolls out of the way of the attack, im not sure which of the two are making that noise but if its dragu EEK its super cute.

i had such a hibernation period with sergei when tk7 started declining, the difference between tk8 and 7 is insane im happy it stoked my love for him again

ohh yea and one more thing my friends keep teasing me abt his intro in the story mode, whenever i land a grapple we always quote "and SQUEEEEEZES the life out of them"

Hi lovely! Of course you can ask, I’m happy to answer whatever questions you have. (and thank you I’m so flattered)💜

1. I majored in film/TV production in college and I work in TV and act currently, so I’ve been writing in script format and developing characters for nearly 9 years now.

In regard to writing in fiction/narrative writing style, I started about 4 months ago with this blog!🥰

2. I would love to write for a living. I’m not sure what form it would be in (screenwriting, books, acting) but it is my dream. I never thought about writing a book before I took up this blog as a hobby, but I’ve realized that I would love to do that one day (but I think I need some more practice and a good idea first).

3. I love to switch it up! I honestly get bored writing for the same character too much, so I appreciate the variety of character requests that I get. I will say that I enjoy writing for characters that I didn’t love prior to writing them. I take an actor’s approach to character writing, so I love getting inside the head of a character that I don’t like, learning why they think that way, and finding things about them that I do love. (wow that was a lot, I hope it makes sense lol)

4. To quote The Beatles, “I get by with a little help from my friends!”

I enjoy collaborating with other people, talking to both creative and non-creative types about my thoughts. Friends and family can spur new ideas through conversation.

Another route is writing out a thought-train. So if you have a small idea, or a character… any starting point, just write it down and then think of one thing to add to it. For example, let’s say I want to write about Azriel from ACOTAR but don’t know what. Think about Azriel, write his features, his mannerisms, what you think he does in a day, who he interacts with, how he feels about them, etc. Usually an idea for a scenario will come from that, and it’s easier to build from there.

5. Write. Read and write. Accept constructive criticism, and practice. I think that writing is just a skill that takes time to learn and develop, and you never stop learning. You’ll come up with new ideas, your writing style may change and grow as you do, but never give up, never stop asking questions, never stop being curious.

The world needs your voice and your art. Know that. You have a life, a vision, a perspective that no one else has, and that makes your ideas and stories worth sharing.

About my Hairy Matters fic.

I'm really proud of the opening paragraph for this one because it gets across really really really well how mad Aoi is at the siblings lol

'Miu, Miu, Miu.' Kaito's voice echoes incessantly. 'I told you to do it before you went out.' 'Ugh, you're so annoying, why don't you ever shut up?' And so on. The Shinonome are back at it again. They fight over everything, even about where they sit at the table. Aoi wishes there were a way to make them stop. Whatever the issue is, it surely doesn't warrant all the yelling, all the name-calling, all the tantrums. Is it that hard to listen to each other and cooperate? Should she get involved? If only Takuma were here… In his absence, she has no choice but to step up to the task.

The way their usual song and dance gets recalled is just so irked up. It's not just that they're fighting but that they fight nonstop and that she finds their behavior unreasonable lol

This one was written because of a twitter poll where I asked who cuts Miu's hair, whether it was Miu herself, Kaito, their parents or a hairdresser lol I'm pretty sure this was because I was thinking on another pair of siblings from the game "World's end game club", where hair-cutting was a significant bonding activity between them (plus the cute fanart with Miu retouching Kaito's root). I got some pretty interesting answers that I felt could evidence their complicated dynamic/household situation. Why write it from Aoi's pov? For one, she's my fav. But another thing is that I wished that the Shinonome making their rocky dynamic everyone's problem was more explored in the game, and Aoi is their leader + the one who is the biggest Harmony proponent, so I thought it could be interesting writing her dealing with them.

When writing Aoi's pov for this fic, I wanted to get across a number of things:

Her hidden anger–I quoted in the notes her wrathful line "Siblings should get along" because it really highlights how much she resented them for being so disruptive without saying a peep. She gets really condescending to Kaito and Miu in her debut as Plutomon, so I wanted to explore some of that.

Her near-constant state of complete anxiety and the causes it stems from. Her lack of self-confidence showing through how little faith she has in her speech. Lots of worries about whether she can do it, whether she can pick the right answer to pacify them and reach harmony, whether they'd hear her (I think this can have a bit of a tenous implication about her worries on whether her authority is respected). These anxieties also show her obsession with doing things right, which adds to her tension (my friend remarked that she's so careful with every aspect of her actions, it made her felt unnerved alongside Aoi lol).

Aoi's constant self-monitoring and self-censoring based on being on high alert about others' reactions at all times.

Her tendency to feel deeply for others still pushing her to empathize with them/want to help them.

I was quite pleased with how, despite the intense anxiety, Aoi still comes across as fairly driven, scanning for the next task to tackle.

The conflict between Miu and Kaito lasts a fairly small portion of the fic, which ends up mostly devoted to Kaito's perspective on it. It was challenging to figure out a way to get him to open up and talk about it in a way that felt organic— channeling his protectiveness over Miu's peculiarities was a really effective way to do it. Overall, it felt a sucessful try at capturing the way arguments get complicated between the clashing perspectives and personalities, and using Dracmon to smooth out the interactions via teasing and cheeky remarks was a blast.

Miu's part is very small, and the unwritten and unposted chapter two to this thing is meant to remedy that... At some point. But I still had fun writing her snapping at Aoi. It basically went like this:

Miu: pls pls pls get kaito off my back.

Aoi, missing the cue: idk how to do this thing you're asking me to.

Miu, alrededy furious bc Kaito is bothering her: UGH

It was a really comedic interaction to me LOL

Other things:

I got a good chuckle out of my friend pointing out how stressful living with them sounded bc of the remark of them fighting about their seat at the table LOL She said she could picture Kaito insistently sitting besides Miu and that it irked her really badly. In my mind, he'd do it because Miu is the only one from the group he's truly close to, no meaning any harm lol But Miu'd be fed up with him breathing over her neck, so...

I was pretty proud of how I wrote Aoi's uneasiness to speak on a physical level. Again, my focus on phisicality really comes in handy to show how easily she gets overwhelmed.

There's some nice emotional ambiguity with how strongly her emotions come across in the narration yet are never acknowledged nor named directly.

The tittle. Is. Really. Funny LOL I usually half-ass the tittles, so the fact it's a corny joke should be taken as a Win

1. Obi-Wan Kenobi -- Specifically in the movies and the Legends books I read growing up. ((Not a huge fan of him in the "Clone Wars." He just felt "off" to me, especially with the whole forced tragic romance plot meant to make him more "relatable" or whatever /rant)) Anyway, cool dude. Aspirational. Wish I could be as dedicated to God and my Secular Institute as he is to the Force and the Jedi.

2. Camilla Hect and Palamades Sextus -- Yes, that's two characters, but [SPOILERS] they become one character (which made me very sad, who is this new person??? I want my friends back!) so 🤷 Anyway, love the "cousins who may as well be siblings" thing, very relatable, as well as all the non-romantic love feels. Plus Cam is just a bada$$ knife nut, and I'm also a sucker for nerdy characters, which they both are.

3. Hunter Noceda -- Uh, I relate to him to an uncomfortable level. Like certain scenes with him and Belos made me realize that my childhood was a biiiit more traumatic than I'd realized *nervous laughter* See also: sucker for nerdy characters. Boy is a total nerd.

4. Duo Maxwell -- he's obnoxiously friendly and I love him for it. Raised Catholic until his orphanage got bombed 🥺 Uses humor to deflect from his problems, something I would never do. When I was his age I also had a 3 foot long braid. Would 100% want to punch him irl LOL Named my cat after him because he, too, is obnoxious and friendly and 'wears' black and white.

5. Toph Beifong -- I just love her. Stan a girl who goes barefoot and shows affection through punches and sarcasm. Definitely quoted her whenever I got called out for traipsing into the dining hall covered in "a healthy coating of earth" after working on the farm. And she wears my fav color (green).

6. Ellie Sattler -- I was 7 years old when Jurassic Park came out, and the Scully Effect was real, except it was Dr. Sattler who was my inspiration. I so wanted to be a cool scientist like her when I grew up! (well, I got to be a scientist; alas, not nearly so cool). As a little kid, one of my fav games was imagining I was her, running through the jungle eluding deadly velociraptors!
