I'm a lee leaning switch!
fandom: genshin impact ofccc
romantic relationship please 👉👈
I'd prefer male for gender to be matched up with:3
thanks in advance <333
SINNY-CHANNN OMG HIII 🥹🩷 I WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE YOUR REQUEST IN MY ASK BOX!!! I must tell you, the character I matched you up with came to my mind almost effortlessly... idk why but I just thought "HIM." Period. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your match-up!! ❤️🍡 *some dango for you to eat while reading my little work*
🔮 For this event, I match you up with... ITTO
Tumblr media
🔮 Why did I choose him for you?
• Itto is the least judgmental person who ever walked on this planet • He's not the smartest, but he takes care of others in his own way (thinking about how he made everyone stop fighting during the Chasm quest) • Itto is a little (well... big actually) ball of sunshine, but his clothes are pretty dark... I have a feeling that you might like his style • I can see you tracing all his red lines just to find out if they're ticklish (spoiler: they are) • BUT... our favorite oni won't let it slide... prepare yourself to get wrecked, my dear • I think Itto is one of those people who get worried sick after they're done tickling the life out of you and become an anxious and agitated mess, which is fun to see, considering how careful he is to never overstep your boundaries • Like... you're fine but he's going around like Taz from Looney Tunes and bring you water, sweets and everything that might make you comfy • He would LOVE to play any kind of games with you... and he'd actually be a good match (unless you're playing trivia or strategy games) • He would shower you with food and then he'd eat together with you!! He'd take you around through the various festivals in Inazuma to make you try the best delicacies from the best stands • He'd introduce you to the gang as "the vice boss"... and everyone would call you that, except Shinobu. She'd quickly make friends with you and give you tips about how to survive in uni • Big tickle fights with the whole gang!! Although Itto would always be on your side hehe... you're his beloved after all • Dates with him would be romantic in their own way... nothing excessively sweet, but he'd do his best to make you feel loved and appreciated 24/7 (unless it's your anniversary... in that occasion he'll go all out with something so flashy that you almost die from embarrassment)
🔮 Tickle scenario "Oh and this is also good... and then we should go there! And we can't miss that ramen stand!" You barely managed to keep up with Itto's pace as he dragged you to every stand that was at the Irodori Festival.
You had already tasted soba, unagi chazuke, a portion of a so-called invigorating kitty meal, onigiri, katsu sandwich, an egg roll and an egg roll sushi and even some udon, and even though they were all small portions to just let you have a taste of everything, you were starting to feel quite full already. The problem was that Itto wasn't showing any sign of satiety yet!
"Itto, baby... don't you think we've already eaten enough..?" You tried to question him, but he just started rambling (loudly) about how you needed to try everything to enjoy the experience to the fullest. It was endearing to you how hyper he could get about the simplest things... and he had even managed to behave for a week just for you, to not ruin your festival experience! You really couldn't say no to him...
This is how you ended up lying down on the grass near the Statue of the Seven in Ritou, with your bellies about to burst but also with the widest smiles ever. "Did you have fun, Luv?" The oni asked you while staring into your happy eyes. "Yes... the food was amazing! And I loved the atmosphere, thank you" You replied enthusiastically, tired but ecstatic.
"Hell yeah! Even Kujou Sara was surprised by how nice I was behaving... maybe she'd become nicer if she found someone... not you, though! You're all mine~" He planted a big kiss on your cheek to emphasize his point. "Hush..." you manage to say as you felt your face getting a little hotter.
Even if he wasn't the smartest cookie around, Itto was extremely observant with you, and even in the weak light of the early evening he managed to notice the light shade of red invading your face.
"Huh? Are you getting hot? Is it too humid? Are you running a fever?" Well... he was observant, but he didn't exactly have Heizou's detective skills. "Drink this! It's refreshing and you'll feel better!" He shoved a bottle of dango milk in your hands and watched you expectantly as he waited for you to drink it.
"Are you feeling better?" He asked with such worried eyes that it flustered you even more. "Y-yeah... it was nothing, really..." You managed to stutter, but what you didn't expect was Itto connecting the dots.
"Wait! You were just flustered!!!"
He yelled it so loud that you tried to cover his mouth with your hands. "Hush..! Even Lady Guuji will hear you if you keep yelling like this..!" You whisper-yelled, but the oni had a smile even wider than before and a playful glint in his eyes... and you should've noticed.
"Aweee I have the cutest partner in the world!! Come here you!!" He quickly sat up and pulled you on his lap, and before you had the time to defend yourself or protest, five fingers found your tummy and started scribbling on it. "Awe... your giggles are so cute, Sinny~" He cooed while listening to your sweet laughter.
"Nahahahahehehe pfft- Ihihitto wahahait pleahahaseee..!" You squirmed in his lap, but he was too strong for you to get away. "Nope, no waiting. Now I wanna hear you laugh!" None of you two knew why, but your blushy face brought out Itto's playful side, and now there you were, squirming in his lap while he poked your tummy all over.
"Nohohohohooo" You squealed while kicking your feet in the air as if it could help you in any way. "Yehehehes!!" Your boyfriend mocked you without relenting even for a second. "Come on... you know how much I love your laughter, and take this as a revenge for this morning!"
Thinking about it, you shouldn't have tickled him awake that morning...
Knowing it was almost time to stop, the oni decided it was time for the grand finale and lifted up one of your arms while his free hand went to town on your now exposed armpit. "KYAHAHAHAHAHA NAHAHAT TEHEHEHEHEHE NOHOHOHOOOO" You yelled while laughing your head off.
Itto listened to your little howls (and even a couple of tiny snorts) and cherished every second of that moment, but he knew it was time to stop, which he immediately did and let you recover.
"So, did you have fun? It was quite the conclusion for our date, huh?" He asked you while smirking smugly. "Well..." You hesitated a little, because you wanted to act tough but you also didn't wanna lie to him, "well... I surely laughed a lot..." you mumbled. "Oh sure you did..." the white-haired guy chuckled knowingly as you let out a yawn.
"Ohoho... someone's getting tired after all that running around, eating and tickling hahaha" He said before getting up, and before you could do the same, you felt two strong arms wrap around you, one on your back and one under your knees.
"Aaand up you go!" The oni cheered while lifting you up as if you were a tiny feather and carrying you bridal style. "Come on, let's go home."

[ID: a small bowl filled with toasted sesame seeds and diced kombu. end ID]
Vegetarian furikake / 振り掛け (Japanese seasoning)
Furikake is a Japanese dry condiment which may be added to rice, used as a filling for onigiri (rice balls), used in pickling, or used as a topping to rice dishes such as chazuke (ちゃづけ). You might also try it for a sweet, savory, or spicy kick on noodle dishes and salads (such as my Japanese-style carrot salad), in soups, or on popcorn.
Minimal recipes for furikake may include sesame seeds, chopped seaweed, bonito flakes, salt, and sugar. This recipe also includes soy sauce and shichimi (Japanese 7-spice) for added umami and spice; you could play around with ingredients and proportions to get something you like, or make it a little differently each time!
Recipe under the cut.
Patreon | Tip jar
Ingredients:
For the furikake:
1oz used kombu (left over from making dashi), thawed if frozen
1 sheet Japanese dried laver / nori (海苔)
2 Tbsp ground dried shiitake mushrooms
1 1/2 Tbsp white sesame seeds
1/2 Tbsp black sesame seeds
1 Tbsp Japanese soy sauce, such as Kikkoman's
1/2 tsp kosher salt
2 tsp vegetarian granulated sugar
2 tsp Japanese 7-spice (七 味 唐辛子 / shichimi togarashi); optional
Pinch MSG (optional)
You will need reconstituted, not dried, kombu for this recipe. To reconstitute dashi, follow the instructions to make cold-brew (水出し / mizudashi) or hot-brew dashi (煮出し / nidashi) in my teriyaki udon soup recipe; the dashi can then be used to make Japanese soups and dipping sauces. I like to use a couple tablespoons in a cornstarch slurry with soy sauce, mirin, and rice vinegar to coat fried tofu, to which it adds a delicate, umami, vegetal taste.
Dried shiitake mushrooms can be found in an Asian grocery store. They may be reconstituted to make shiitake dashi, then used in stir-fries and simmered dishes. They may also be ground and used to add savor and umami to any dish. Here, they are used as a substitute for the katsuobushi (bonito flakes) in okaka / おかか (bonito flakes flavored with soy sauce), a common ingredient in furikake.
Instructions:
1. Dice reconstituted / thawed kombu into small pieces and set aside. Cut nori into a fine dice by folding and cutting with kitchen scissors. Coarsely grind dried shiitake mushrooms in a spice mill or food processor.
2. In a small, dry pot over medium heat, toast white and black sesame seeds until they are fragrant and a shade darker. Remove from pot.
3. Add kombu and ground shiitake mushroom and toast, stirring frequently, for several minutes until the surface of the kombu is dry.
4. Add soy sauce, salt, and sugar. Simmer until dried, stirring and scraping the bottom of the pot more frequently as the furikake dries out.
5. Stir in nori, sesame seeds, shichimi, and MSG. Taste and adjust salt, sugar, and spice.
Theoretically, dry furikake may be stored in a cool, dry place such as a pantry. If you're not confident that your furikake is completely dry, you can store it in the fridge. It should keep for several months.

HELLO SKY I HAVE A QUESTION! For context when I finally leave genshin I feed my whole team their favorite food for a good job, like I give venti an apple (or cider if he did some good crits), jean some pizza and Bennett meat. But like I have no idea what to give scara. I asked my friends and they also don't know😭 maybe you have some idea.
- 🧩anon
Well from what I know about Scara, he hates sweet stuff and is really partial to bitter stuff, but has also stated that he's not picky
So things I'd avoid off the bat would definitely be fruit and anything particularly sweet, anything cream based, and meat wise probably shrimp since that's kinda sweet
I think really the best food would probably just be his specialty dish Shimi Chazuke, or even its base Unagi Chazuke, but that could get annoying real quick if you don't have a godly pile of Unagi on hand, so if you still want to use an Unagi dish that's a bit more manageable than it would be Grilled Unagi Fillet
Now you could focus on simple Inazuma dishes like Onigiri and Miso soup, since that's where he's from he would probably be most used to them
I'm not sure of his current relationship with lavender melon, but some dishs that use that would be Konda Cuisine (strong choice cause it includes snapdragon, which I'll expand on in a minute), Rice Cake Soup, and Five Pickled Treasures (also a strong ones cause pickling usually produces a sour/bitterish taste)
Now on the snapdragon thing, I know irl snapdragon blooms are edible and described as an acquired taste cause of their tart and bitter flavor, meaning, assuming that's true there too, a pretty good option might be Jewelry Soup, Vegetarian Abalone, or Sangayaki, along with the above stated Konda Cuisine
Keeping the topic of flowers, it's more common for them to be bitter over any other flavor, and Calla Lily's are described in-game as sweet and bitter (one of the few things actually described as bitter), making Calla Lilly Seafood Soup a possible contender
Now if you wanna stray farther from Inazuma based dishs cause unpleasant memories, but want to go that route of flowers with a Sumeru dish (since he seems to generally like the area from what I've seen), Lambad Fish Roll is definitely the way to go
It's too bad they don't have any coffee based dishs cause that could be really spot on, just a cup of black coffee would be perfect for him
It'll be up to you to pick between all the ones I've listed based on your resources, and I'm pretty sure I don't have every recipe so there might be a perfect option I don't know of, but yeah general guidelines are bitter = good, sweet = absolutely not
Good luck!

Kinda wanna make Ochazuke, but, like, without salmon? Because that’s expensive and since idk if Ochazuke’s even any good, I don’t really want to put that in yet? Maybe if I put in some Bonito flakes instead....

sugar-free (that’s what you do to me)
Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective | Toto/Ron | Domestic fluff (AO3)
.
For Totomaru, a day-off well-spent means sleeping in until nine, snuggled against a mountain of misshapen pillows and thinned-out blankets from middle school. He'd then take his sweet time cleaning his room before washing up, all while singing anisongs off-key. Then a late breakfast, a proper, home-cooked Japanese meal instead of packed bread or onigiri from the convenience store, finished off with a cup of freshly-brewed green tea from back home.
Today is one of those rare days, except for, well, Ron inviting himself into his apartment.
"I didn't make enough for two," Toto deadpans in the door's direction, flipping the fish over the grill. There is a shuffle of padded footsteps, then a soft thud on the living room floor. Ron already has his phone out, humming gently to the music from his earphones. Today's playlist seems to be trot-inspired, probably from that new pop group Amamiya's been following since last month.
He smiles, despite the initial annoyance. Ron seems to be adjusting well enough to the outside world again if he can keep up with the latest trends. He still avoids a lot of things in general, but at least it's easier for him to relax now. Respites like this do help a lot, if anything.
Toto pours the extra pot of tea over the rice; at least there's enough of that for two. Breakfast finally assembled, he slowly carries the tray over to the living room. Ron's eyes immediately light up as he emerges from the kitchen.
"Put your phone away," he says, placing a steaming bowl of chazuke before his guest. "And spit out that gum. The food will taste weird."
"Bzzzt," Ron sticks out his tongue, currently a shocking candy-pink. "This is colored lollipop. One hundred percent sugar-free. Wanna taste?" He retracts his tongue and opens his mouth, revealing a half-melted pink candy at the center. Toto resists the urge to gag, facepalming while looking away. "That's..."
At least it's not brown sugar syrup again, like that one time he mixed half a bottle into his tea, insisting it wasn't "sweet enough". The mere sight of it made Toto stick to water for weeks and gave him occasional funny nightmares. Ron probably doesn't have insurance for a diabetes check-up, and he sure as hell doesn't make enough to pay for it.
To his credit, Ron does as he's told, placing the candy on a small plate Toto has prepared for that purpose. He then licks his lips, staining them candy-pink, as well.
The action weirdly wipes out Toto's thoughts, for some reason. "Sugar-free, huh," he repeats weakly.
"Yup," Ron grins, inching closer into his personal space. "One hundred percent. Wanna taste?"
Toto gulps, staring into Ron's eyes before nodding slowly.
He quickly closes the distance between them, fueled by the weird bravado that suddenly came upon him. Ron's lips are warm and soft, and slightly sticky from the candy he'd been sucking on. There is barely any lingering aftertaste from it at all; whichever place this candy is from has already earned Toto's full approval.
The initial rush of excitement gives way to a simmering heat, and Toto parts his lips slightly, allowing Ron to slip his tongue inside. Their bodies are now pressed together on the low sofa, their shared breath warm against the cool sweat trickling down his neck. Ron lets out a low hum as Toto runs a hand through his hair, gently massaging the scalp in circles. The scent of musk, Ron's cheap shampoo, and their forgotten breakfast sends Toto's heart pounding out of his chest, the sound of it thrumming in his ears and making him see red, then candy-pink.
This is probably how intoxication feels like: a sugar-high without the sugar rush.
It's a feeling Toto finds he quite enjoys, and fits perfectly into his idea of a good day-off.
Except, well, Ron must learn to put his phone to good use and actually call in advance, so he can actually prepare properly— a newly-made bed with fresh linen, a proper bath, and breakfast for two, to start.
A sudden jerking motion causes Ron to drop his phone onto the floor, pulling out the earphones from the audio jack. A summery tropical pop track blasts out of the speakers, singing suggestive lyrics of sweet cocktails and mutual attraction. It makes Toto burst into laughter as he pulls himself away, while Ron is slack-jawed in bewilderment.
"This is nothing, haha," Toto explains right away, both his hands still on Ron's shoulders. "Just that you're right, is all."
Ron cocks his head to a side. "About what?"
"Sugar-free." He dabs the back of his hand over his lips with a smile. "One hundred percent would want to try again. But next time." Toto then gently pulls Ron over to the low table. "Breakfast first. The chazuke's getting cold."
He sees Ron smirk from the corner of his eye, no doubt excited at the prospect of more later.  Good.
Best perfect day-off thus far, and it's only about to get better.
.
(Yes, that’s an Alcohol-Free reference, because that bop grew on me at some point.)

Budaya Negara Jepang yang Tidak Banyak Orang Ketahui
Tumblr media

Miranda, along with Chase's former squadmates Unit Leader Leon August and tank pilot Jodie Brennan, are dispatched to pick up some people on the underground railroad but face a Union ambush. My Hero Academia: Provisional Hero License Exam Arc EP#61 - Deku vs. Kacchan, Part 2: Bakugo fights close and fast to give Midoriya less time to strategize, but Midoriya manages to keep up by increasing One For All to eight percent. During the brawl, Bakugo admits he hates the thought of someone weak before like Midoriya surpassing him and has been blaming himself for All Might's retirement. While the match is close, Bakugo ends up winning after pinning Midoriya to the ground. All Might shows up having witnessed the whole fight and informs Bakugo that he shouldn't be blaming himself for All Might's retirement and tells him about the history of One For All with Bakugo vowing to keep it a secret. He informs the two heroes that they each lack what the other has (Midoriya's conviction to save others and Bakugo's desire to win) and that finding the balance between the two will improve themselves as heroes. He then takes the two back to their dorms, where Aizawa suspends the two from classes for a couple of days (Midoriya for three and Bakugo for four). Despite the outcome, All Might believes it was necessary to help the two become proper rivals in their quests towards becoming the ultimate heroes.
Black Clover: Royal Knights Selection Exam EP#81 - The Life of a Certain Man: The Wizard King intervenes while Finral's wounds are treated. Asta insults Langris' behaviour as unworthy of a magic knight. Langris requests the Wizard King allow him to fight the Bulls for their semi-final match, then attacks Asta. The Wizard King intervenes with his Time Magic and decides to allow the fight on condition it is fought by exam rules using their normal teams. Many people notice that Langris is not acting like himself. A flashback shows that the Wizard King suspects a magic knight might be a traitor without even realising it and is using the exam to identify the unwitting knight. Langris abandons his teammates and attacks Asta, demanding that he admit Finral is weak and Langris is a true knight. Asta loses body parts but keeps fighting with help from Mimosa's healing magic. Knowing he cannot use his demon power again Asta manoeuvres Langris into Zora's trap. Zora remembers his father, a magic knight who was murdered by his own squad for being a peasant. Zora then took on the character of a doll his father gave him, a warrior who protected the country in secret, and became a vigilante specialising in punishing magic knights who abused their powers.

How to create Cod Roe and benefits to eat
What Is Cod Roe?
Tumblr media
Cod roe refers to the ovary (roe) of cod. Generally it’s not the roe of Pacific cod, but Alaska pollock, and made by salting the ovaries. The main production areas in Japan are Hokkaido.
What Is Spicy Cod Roe ?
Tumblr media
Cod roe marinated in a liquid containing salt, red peppers, and other seasonings. The similar product in Korea normally contains garlic in the liquid, but Japanese one doesn’t.
In Japan, spicy cod roe has been recognized as a specialty of Kyushu region, especially Fukuoka prefecture.
By the way, although spicy cod roe are produced mostly at processing plants in Fukuoka, Japan, the fish are often purchased from Alaska or Russia.
What Is Mentaiko in Japan?
In some parts of Western Japan, people call cod roe “明太子 Mentaiko“, and spicy cod roe “辛子明太子 Karashi Mentaiko“.
That’s because 明太 mentai was the term for a “Alaska pollock” in old Japan. And 子 ko is the term for “child” in Japanese. Karashi is the term for Japanese mustard by the way.
However, since spicy cod roe as a specialty of Fukuoka prefecture has become really popular nationally, “明太子 Mentaiko” is recognized as spicy cod roe in Japan lately.
What Does Cod Roe Taste Like?
It has distinctive smell of fish, but it’s not so strong because cod roe has been usually marinated in sauce contains salt, red peppers, or other seasonings. The unique taste of it is salty, so it matches so well with rice, pasta, or ingredients for various kinds of appetizer. Also, the texture of cod roe is the granular coarseness, and you can feel kind of like crispy feeling from it.
How Is Cod Roe Used?
Normally both of cod roe and spicy cod roe can be used in the same way. Those are typical dishes Japanese people usually make with cod roe or spicy cod roe.
Cod Roe Rice Ball (Onigiri)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Putting a piece of cod roe in white rice ball. We also eat it with just a rice bowl too.
Cod Roe and Boiled Rice with Tea (Chazuke)
Tumblr media
Chazuke (Ochazuke) is rice with tea poured on it. Usually we eat it with favorite ingredients such as pickled plum and salmon. And cod roe or spicy cod roe are one of the option too.
Pasta (Spaghetti) with Cod Roe
Tumblr media
Using cod roe as main ingredient for pasta sauce is also very popular in Japan. People usually make the sauce with butter, heavy cream, or milk.
Baguette with Cod Roe
Tumblr media
Bread or baguette topped with cod roe sauce. The sauce is usually made with butter and mayonnaise.
Potato Salad with Cod Roe
Tumblr media
It’s often called Taramo-salad in Japan, and made by mixing cod roe, mashed potatoes, and mayonnaise.
Cod Roe  Tempura
Tumblr media
Tempura is seafood or vegetables that have been covered in batter and fried in oil. Cod roe can be the material for tempura too.
Shirataki (noodles made from konnyaku) with Cod Roe
Tumblr media
It’s kind of like appetizer, and made by stir-frying shirataki noodles and mixing it with cod roe, soy sauce, and sake. Putting green beans or other vegetables together is a option.
Nutrition of Cod Roe (Raw)
Below you will find the nutrition information for a 3.5 oz (100g) of cod roe:
・Calories: 140kcal ・Water: 65.2g ・Total Carbohydrates: 0.4g ・Total Fat: 4.7g ・Protein: 24g ・Minerals └Sodium: 1800mg └Potassium: 300mg └Calcium: 24mg └Magnesium: 13mg └Phosphorus: 390mg └Other Minerals: 4mg (iron, zinc, etc) ・Vitamins └Niacin: 49.5mg └Vitamin C: 33mg └Vitamin E: 7.1mg └Other Vitamins: 1.5mg (vitamin B1, vitamin B2, etc)
What Are the Benefits of Eating Cod Roe?
Cod roe contains nutrients abundantly, for example, vitamin E, taurine, and protein. It is said that vitamin E could promotes hormone secretion and metabolism, and is effective for PMS.
Taurine, one kind of amino acid could reduce bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol, therefore you could expect preventing lifestyle-related diseases such as arteriosclerosis and effect that strengthens liver function.
Can You Eat Cod Roe Raw?
Yes, you can eat cod roe raw. It’s totally fine as long as your cod roe (spicy cod roe) is fresh. Eating both cod roe and spicy cod roe raw are very common in Japan. On the other hand, some people prefer to bake the surface of them slightly and eat. Personally speaking, I like to eat them raw because I can feel taste, flavor, and texture better in that way. However, it’s said that pregnant women need to avoid raw cod roe due to food poisoning just in case. So pregnant women should cook them completely before eating.

Yotsuiro Biyori 1
I memorised this show’s name as being “Rokuhoudou”, so I almost didn’t recognise it at first when CR got it! I’m only taking it on because of the SoL aspect, which I’m normally not too sold on. However, there was a lot of slice of life this past winter, so I can see this being moved to the on hold pile already…
Mitarashi (dango).
Why do I get the feeling there was something fishy (time travel, a death or something) that happened to make the Rokuhoudou the way it is? I say “time travel” because of what I read about this show on ANN.
Is it just me, or does the background around this woman look kind of flat? The bins seem pretty flat, at the very least…
I can see what the woman means when she goes “This is a café?” It sure don’t look like one, it’s more like a temple or something.
I almost expected the woman to mangle the name of the café and go “Shika-kaede-tou” or something. How do the Japanese manage to get all these kanji combo pronunciations right???
“Don’t dodge my question, you king of BS.” – Just another quotable, alongside “Just Google it, asshole.” (Boueibu HK)
I thought the latte art was a dog at first, but yeah, if I look at it differently, it’s a bunny!
Kusamochi. By the way, I was thinking this show is really charming. Sure, I had more than enough Cute Boys Doing Cute Things in the winter, but these guys have quite the rapport. Now if only I could figure out what their names are (properly)…
Wait, so did that board/sheet/whatever inside that inspired Redhead refer to Kinako (cat) or kinako?
Lemme get this straight – black hair is Tokitaka, brown hair (latte) is Gure, desserts boy is…shoot, I don’t know…Update: Gure has black hair, not brown. It’s just shorter than Tokitaka’s.
I got no Google hits for Koubai pink, but Yurushiiro pink I did…so here you go. Yurushiiro pink was a pink that wasn’t banned by the emperor of Japan back in the day where he had more power. It seems to be a shade somewhat similar to cherry blossoms.
Tokiiro pink = rose gold and Yoshino cherry white = a pinkish-white.
Nerikiri is a type of wagashi.
Some of the subs got cut off! Grr, CR! So, here’s my attempt to translate what they have on that board of Redhead’s: after “butterflies”, there’s “plum” (ume), “bamboo shoots” (take no ko) and “new leaves” (wakaba). CR definitely used a longer word combo in place of “new leaves” though, so I could be wrong. That writing’s pretty scribbly, after all.
Redhead is Tsubaki (see? I have a horrendous memory when it comes to learning things for the first time)…so who am I missing?
Sakuramochi. It’s that grainy sort of pink, leaf-bound mochi you often see in shows like this.
Gure seems to like his Italian, doesn’t he? Is he half-foreign or is this just being a fan of the language of pasta?
“…think about the spring sunshine.” – So why the cat background?
Okay, I’ve found whose name I’ve forgotten. Sui (brunette).
Tokishirazu salmon. LOL, that salmon’s perfect for Tokitaka!
I don’t think they showed the chopstick holder earlier, but it’s a heart. It really is cute!
Interestingly, this woman brings to mind the idea of meiwaku when she says that it was her fault.
Oh, they weren’t heart shaped, they were cherry blossom shaped! That makes a lot more sense! (The shapes are similar though…)
Makunouchi bento…that sounds familiar, for some reason.
Hanami dango. I’m sure you know them, even if you’re not familiar with the name...so long as you’ve watched enough anime to see them at least once.
Ah, I bet Gure is a happy drunk, LOL.
Hah? There’s Sui (when he was younger)? Not in this episode, no…There was also a Tsubasa Fujita who was voiced by Hibiku Yamamura. I assume that’s the woman we were following today, but it might’ve been her friend or someone in a later episode…
Manjyu chazuke. I had to use the Japanese words to get some hits (as opposed to the romaji I just used), but whoever said that thing about Ougai seems to be correct.
Omusubi seems to be another name for onigiri.
Sencha.
That seems like less of a drop than I first thought...it’s going to be tough to cut down on all these shows. I’m clearly being affected by how much I opened up my watchlist, because remember those days where I’d only take on two shows a season?
Kakuriyo 2
Wow, the oni really has it in for her now...or is it really that hard to get a true read of him?
I somehow wagered the tengu was going to remind Aoi of her old man a few seconds before she did just that. That’s a bad sign...
Would a tengu have been too heavy to fly if it were drowning?
Seriously, this tengu never thinks of flying. I’m laughing, but I’ve realised this show’s strength seems to be its humour more than anything.
The airship has the kanji for “Ten” (from Tenjinya).
The pace of this show goes like molasses, so I think I’ll put it on hold here.
Lupin III Pt V 2
“Did you finally start caring about the environment?”
Holy helicopters, Batman! The AW609...exists!
“...Lupin used to escape!”
They’re being chased and yet still have time for hotpot, LOL. Never change, Lupin. Never change.
I never thought I’d see the day where a situation like the one Ami’s in could ever be talked out of in anime. Normally a scenario like that one is played for drama...
I guess even Lupin has a moe instinct, LOL.
That social media service looks a lot like Twitter, eh?
Apparently Shinpei Mayama is new this episode...Keep watching.
The Flea? He looks more like a hikikomori monster to me, LOL. (Boueibu reference, don’t mind me...)
I get the feeling I should know these people that are all showing up, but I feel like I don’t need to know about their backstories to appreciate them going forward. Thus, I will keep this show. Once again though, it’s a tentative keeper.
Saredo 2
I’m zoning out...I need to drop this show, don’t I?...
Soleil? Is that Gayus’s surname? (Basically, I got roped back into watching it with one reveal, LOL. I’m such a finicky person.)
One Hundred Ways to Train Your Dragon, more like it, LOL.
Oh great. Every time they have a religious figure, the show always seems to go downhill...(thinks back to Vatican Miracle Examiner)
Wow, “pessimistically optimistic”€. That’s quite the paradox!
The power of politics is to back up one voice with lots of voices, so...uh...about that, Cardinal Mouldeen...
“Come on, you slaves of authority.” - LOL. What a name.
“[Gigina’s] a sword dancer...” - Oh, so that’s why sinners dance with the dragons! A “dancer” is a magician in this world.
Okay, seriously. How did I not see how bad this show was in the first episode? If your side characters are more developed than your main ones, you’ve got a problem.
I’ve never seen a man more dedicated to fantasy-style IKEA than Gigina, LOL. At least that’s fresh.
I don’t think I even want to document this for later, but who the heck is Diorg?
I completely regret praising the rapport between Gayus and Gigina now. You can have some great convos when one member of the convo’s drunk, but this is a bit of a mess of a convo, tbh.
Even without the big names, I suspected the woman was connected to the black dragon...
This is a show where property damage counts, right? Gayus’ll throw a fit later, eh?
Okay, I think I’ve complained about this show way too much. Once I start seeing something in a negative light I start to sound really critical, and a lot of the time it’s actually not as rewarding as hatewatches should be, which is why I haven’t tackled anything for hatewatch purposes yet. It’s just a fun-sucker, if that’s the case, and that was definitely the case with this show.
BnHA 40
Wait, why is the camera-oh, it’s just Mineta. Get off the audience’s case, Mineta.
Is it just me, or is it that every time I read “Wild, Wild Pussycats” I get this song in my head?
I love how the Pussycats are basically magical girls with those poses!
How did they not censor Dragon Quest??? (LOL)
Aizawa likes cats? That’s new, but it’s also very in line with what we know of him already.
Oh, I see. She’s a Christmas cake!
What does GG stand for in that context, huh? “you GG bastard”, hmm...
Between BnHA and Tiramisu, you’re definitely in luck if you like muscular boys!
I feel like Kota’s a hypocrite. After all, he’s at his aunt’s and his aunt is a rescue hero...
Kota is very much like Midoriya in a few ways, don’tcha think?
Kota’s name has a lot of water in it, doesn’t it? (Both kanji in his name have water radicals.)
Boueibu HK 2
For some reason, Wakura actually seems happy about his outfit...even though he criticises it.
I’m kind of confused about that “hammer and pigeon”€ thing myself, although hato = pigeon which you can vaguely hear in Furanui’s sentence.
I love Wakura’s serious face...seriously, I need to figure out who best boy is soon, eh?
LOL, I said platypus was kamonohashi, yeah? Kamo can mean duck and it can be short for “maybe” (kamoshirenai).
Wahey, Binanshi Contest! Was it no. 1704 last ep as well?
Well, spoilers beat me on this one, but Tawarayama was a principal after the other guy...but then what are the HK DC gonna do about an advisor?
Ehhhhhhh? This I didn’t see! Shuzenji calls Ata by that name!
The student council room hasn’t changed at all, I see.
“Get fat!” - Wow...(LOL)
Calling it now - Unazuki is a yes man. Very Arima-like...
Strangely, Maasa’s sentence doesn’t specify Furanui is “shrimpy” at all. He just calls Furanui “this thing”€ (konna).
Does this mean Maasa has a thing for cool belly dancer guys? Hmm? Or is it just the magic he’s impressed with?
That board on the wall of the student council room hasn’t changed at all, which is what tipped me off to my earlier comment.
Ritter = knight. So our ES are Diamond, Rose Quartz and Amethyst. There’s not as much of a pattern going through these guys as there was with the CA, but it’ll have to do.
Oh wow, that summary took almost half an episode! No wonder the DC ran off!
The massage thing really calls to mind the manga...
108 is a Buddhist number. I wonder if there’s any significance to that...
July 18th? Boy, another July baby (thnks back to En)...
Getanha are cakes from Kagoshima, where the Kirishima onsen is.
Lorbeerprinz says ”druck” is pressure...but...well, I never thought I’d see the day I regretted not learning German, that’s all. Sorry. I got nothing on this.
This shabu shabu stuff reminds me of the chikuwabu talk in LOVE! s1 ep 1. (nostalgia washes over everyone)
They definitely upped their 4th walling this season, eh? First the layout artist thing, now this “cut off by the frameâ” thing.
The river I’d assume is the Sanzu (river you have to cross before you die) and I guess the flowerbed has to do with that. Kyotaro is Fiore Kiss though...which seems somewhat ironic.
At least they’re fully clothed prior to this transformation...but I didn’t mind seeing them transform from their birthday suits last episode, either...
What is that? *squints* It appears to be Taiju’s phone. Atsushi’s last season was green so I can see why this one’s plum.
Applying self destruct boosters is a lot easier than it looks. (thinks to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, where cake makes a character explode)
There’s a list of ground rules, including “let’s protect morals and manner”...whatever “manner” is. I guess the Furanui Knights, who aren’t actually on the ground, wouldn’t be subjected to “ground rules”, eh?
This one was clearly a case of “didn’t think of something for himself”, huh...
Do they have hot baths in Honyara Land???
Kamopapa’s VA was someone with the surname “Nishimura”...gotta look this guy up later, I guess. Seeing the actual visuals of the ED for once is so exciting, though!
The statement on the scroll in the back means “scholarship and the martial arts”, which is just another way of saying Ata’s a perfect student and is continually striving to be one.
Maasa’s hair antenna is a heart in the ED. That’ll get him charm points for sure.
Lookit them badass swords! They even have corresponding gems on them!
A-ha! I thought the final defeat song was Happy Ready. These marketing guys are too predictable...
For some reason, this ED is a lot more Detective Conan than the last one. I can’t quite put my finger on why though...
This next ep preview’s the best! I wanna quote it! “You know how there are things you see every day, but you don’t actually know what they’re called, so you just say “the thing” or “the whatever-it-is”? The next episode’s about that sort of stuff.” Update: It really is about that sort of stuff, this preview’s just uber-vague...
Mahou Shoujo Ore 3
Wow, they’re really leaning on the 4th wall this week, aren’t they?
The lyrics by and large really don’t make sense, so I feel quite thankful I’m not listening to the audio track right now, LOL.
(at “This way, squirrel!”€) What in animals’ name is this Pokemon? (LOL)
Hey, uh...is it just me or did both magical boy shows opt for the flashbacks this week, too?
What’s the age difference between Sakuyo and Mohiro? Kid!Mohiro doesn’t look older than 12 here.
“Thus concludes Sakuyo’s Thrilling First Love.€”
One thing I’ve noticed with lots of magical girls is that they have earrings. Arima (Boueibu) had them, but these guys do too.
“...looks so much like Mohiro-chan...”€ - Now that I look at Sakuyo’s magical boy form, he does kinda look like Mohiro eyes-wise...
God of Conquests? That refers to the main character of The World ____ Only ______, right?...Yup, I think so!
Have we been watching the same fight scene for almost an episode? Geez, flashbacks.
Can I like Mohiro-chan too? Because this eyecatch completely sold me!
The pixelation’s probably going to give me motion sickness one of these days (exaggerating), but if they overuse it, I’m definitely gonna go on about it.
Max Heart? I wonder if Astral’ll get it? I sure do, but I don’t know if he will.
I think I spotted a chick design on Mohiro’s jumper...?
Wow! Self-deprecation, much? (somewhat sarcastic) (The magazine this series ran in deals with BL, according to the blog header here. Mahou Shoujo Ore flip flops over that boundary, so you can see how it got into it...)
”Wherever there’s a magical girl, that’s where you’ll find me!”€ (Or should that be plural?)
Oh no, don’t even try going there, Sakuyo (laughing as I type this)...thank goodness they didn’t compare their...uh, hand grip. Yeah, the strength of their hand grip! (sweat sweat)
What was Saki drinking, wine? (somewhat sarcastic, somewhat skeptical)
Asano Shinbun is a parody of the Asahi Shinbun, one of the 5 biggest publications in Japan in regards to newspapers.
If you don’t remember from Mob Psycho 100, “mob” in this case means “just another face in the crowd”. Like the name ”Jane Doe”€ in English. The henohenomoheji style is a distinctive touch, though.
They’re being serious about the TV appearance thing? Never would’ve thought that, considering how that was a parody of Superman changing outfits in a telephone booth. Either that or some other superhero...
Golden Kamuy 2
Those pinecones sure look like prawns to me...
Ooh! OP! much hype, such wow. Also, a Man With a Mission OP is definitely something to keep an ear out for.
(in the OP) The letterboxing effect is cool here.
Sugimoto’s asking about tattoos because people with tatts wouldn’t be allowed into baths. At least, that’s the rule nowadays...
Karafuto.
This guy reminds me of Kaiji...or Akagi...or whatever the guy’s name is.
Gah, enough with the fire! This isn’t Blingee, for gold diggers’ sake!
Well, at least Sugimoto and Asirpa can take the skin nowâ...
The Ainu cooking show strikes again. Not that I’m complaining about it, it’s strangely interesting in an odd way. Not to mention the action mitigates any weirdness these parts might give the show.
Squirrel brain. Never in my life would I have dared to type that…until now. (Or eat it, but please don’t make me harm cute squirrels...)
I think Iâ’ve seen so many Shokugeki no Souma parodies/variations, I kind of expect every (pseudo-?)cooking show to do something like it. The fact Golden Kamuy didn’t do it surprised me in that way.
This guy! He did a Valentine’s promo for the show! His nameâ’s Shiraishi!
What a regular Houdini, eh?
This show is so comical in such a way you’d never see in another show. I love it.
Shiraishi with a raccoon on his head, LOL.
