So this was sitting on my wips list for quite a long time. And It's been a while since the last time I brought Op Kingslayer content. I don't know if I'm going to finish it hahahaha! But I thought it would be nice to show you what the team looks like in their mission in Bolivia. <3

Not really 🤔 I do find tattoos attractive if done and executed properly, but I don't want anything on my skin at all 😭

In another world where I want a tattoo of Jade's lore maybe I'd get the wonderful @revnah1406 's art of Jade's patch for OP Kingslayer, the fic Rev's currently creating!

The way the season repeatedly contrasts things as either having meaning or not meaning (to Opeli, the bow is just the weapon of the kingslayer, but to Rayla - and to Callum - they know it's so much more), following up on the theme from 4x08 of "We offered gifts that meant a lot to us, but they don't mean anything to you" / Ezran valuing all his loved ones for precisely the reasons Aaravos dismisses them. Viren being nothing but a bad guy to everyone else but everything to Claudia, and even Finnegrin's attitude towards Rayla in 5x08 / her attitude towards herself and her family, etc etc. Rotating around "The girl means nothing to me" "But she means everything to him" from Hadestown around in my brain like a rotisserie chicken, always

Hey, in defense of OP, like almost half the feanorians were canonically married. They were pleasant-enough company to find wives somewhere in Valinor, so....you ain’t the only one sis. They must have been hawt.

I always wondered what they thought of their husband’s actions (since none of them went with the Rebellion). I wondered if they tacitly endorsed the kinslaying or were “grieved by their actions” like Nerdanel was with Feanor.

I wasn't criticizing the previous anon post if that's what it sounded like, I was merely reiterating what they said and adding to the list of many reasons why we love the Feanorians. To me, whenever someone mentions they love them, it comes of as the popular saying: "If kingslayer, why hawt. If walking red flag, why hawt" lol.

With the canonical wives, I could rant about how they'd feel, but really, feeling heartbroken isn't the best word to describe their pain. To them, they'd feel as if there was no true loyalty towards them since their father easily made his sons swear his oath in pursue of his selfish goal (silmarils). It's not an experience anyone should suffer.

The gentleman dictator is sort of subtly ingenius as a character fall, and I’m still so fascinated with the direction chosen for his character. I liked the idea of a disgraced knight; the faint corrupted idea of chivalry which never really existed... only in the fantasy of inherited archetype and legend, the idea of a knight, the idea of a maiden (and that’s good too, because the Maidens in RWBY are like, mother-maiden-crones, all acquiring the powers in strange ways, UNTIL Penny, who in opposition to Ironwood is the actual Maiden, the actual ideals-embodied).

Anyhow, I think the state and tyranny criticism of the Atlas arc is very good, but on the other hand, as RWBY is generally multitasking, Ironwood is appealing to a charade, an agreed upon state fantasy, but also a fairytale. There is no memory of when men were good, and chivalrous, and followed a knightly code that enshrined all barriers of common life and manners. That’s made up. It’s clever how it’s a two-pronged commentary, but it also quite elegantly explains his behaviour. There is the softness or the tenderness about him, and as the idyll is stripped away, all that’s left is the stabby part of knighthood.

Also, to add to that, the Ace Ops are sort of his roundtable. If anything, of them all, the people willing to break the code (I’m getting Kingslayer vibes here) are the morally just.

With Ironwood, there is the mourning of the idea of a good man, and the death of a chivalry which in truth never existed.

Op Kingslayer Patch!

So a lot of you already know that I love making personalised Patches for my mutuals' ocs. And of course I was gonna make one for our favourite team in Bolivia! They are in the middle of a covert operation. Nobody has to know that they are there, so they can't use their regular patches with their respective taskforce, army, or flag. But they still have to identify themselves as a team. So they use a special patch for this operation. 👀👀

So everyone who is wearing this patch means that they are a Kingslayer, they are going for the king's head in Bolivia, El Sueño! 👀

Hope you like it! And I hope I can post the next chapter soon! I'm a little more than halfway! This chapter is so complicated to write, many things happen! A lot of action, a lot of drama, new ocs are coming in... You cry, you laugh... Hahaha I'm so excited I wish I could tell you everything but no Spoilers! 🤫

Ok, I almost forgot... DREAM JOURNAL TIME!!!

So I finally had an interesting, coherent dream again.

Story behind cut

Last night, I dreamed that I was pissed off with the world as a whole (not a stretch) and decided to run for senate. I won, along with a massive blue wave of young blood that gave the senate a 62-38 majority. Needless to say, the old guard was NOT happy with our election. They called us "The Young Guns" and hated us on principle. However, three weeks into our terms, a horrible tornado hit DC, striking the capitol directly. The building was badly damaged but, due to our youth (yeah right) we were able to get together and save all the other senators. I was the one who led the pack in doing so and we were celebrated as heroes and suddenly very popular. Because of this, I earned myself the nickname "The Queen of The Storm" online So, knowing we had this surge in popularity, we used it to our advantage, getting sweeping, liberal changes made and pushing through a whole bunch of progressive legislature. At the same time, many other younger people started getting interested in politics, including several Millennial Celebs. In particular, certain members of the WWE began to speak out. Sami has always been vocal about stuff but stars like Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins got involved as well.

Anyway, as we were making these broad changes, we were suddenly the bane of the GOP's existence. Also, moderate dems hated us as well. (AOC LOVED us though). The older generations started calling for us to be removed from office. They made a ton of noise and gained a lot of traction. Well, one day, during a debate, one of the Young Guns stood up and, while speaking, sang the "Powerless" line from "In The Heights". It shocked everyone, but what was more shocking was when the next Young Gun to speak started RAPPING in the style of Hamilton. The next person stood up and started doing a riff on the Cabinet Battle, with the person after that going into a "Washington on your side" take. After the fifth person just tore the conservatives apart with a rendition of Alexander Hamilton (lyrics changed like the rest) the senate went nuts with people shouting and getting angry and violent. HOW DARE WE WEAPONIZE LMM LIKE THAT!!!!

Anyway, the footage went viral and there was so damn much outrage. The congress made a movement to Censure ALL the young guns. There was a vote and, even though it failed, there was a good deal of democrats who stood against us. It was made very clear. Either I go, or they ALL go.

So, i did an interview for 60 minutes. I gave a speech saying the following. "I am not your average senator. I'm not well proportioned, so I can't wear a suit on the senate floor. I can't have kids, so I will never have a family with me for photo ops. I'm disabled and can't climb the Capitol Steps. I can never and will never be the senator they want me to be and I've decided to stop trying. I am here to formally announce my resignation from the United States Senate." The interviewer nods and asks a few more questions.

Her final question is... "Now that you are leaving, do you have any thoughts as to who might replace you?

I reply

"The old guard is too old. Bottom line. The Young Guns may be hated, but like it or not we are the future of this great nation. Too many kings have held us hostage for too long. What the US needs... is a Kingslayer." The interview concludes and the internet goes wild. The next month, Seth Rollins formally puts his name in for the special election to replace me. He wins and there is an informal "Ceremony" where I take a sword and "Knight" him as Queen. He then rises and I present him with the sword I used. He raises it high in the air with a shout and I turn and head off into the sunset, fading into political obscurity safe in the knowledge that the country was in safe hands. THE END (It should be noted that I don't really know anything about Seth's political leanings or preferences, but this is just how the dream went so I'm posting it here as it happened.)
