As for Cold War content and churning that out, i've been obsessed with Russ since goddamn July last year when it was a free PS+ game 😭 so i don't think this obsession is going anytime soon and also will probably get worse when Black Ops Gulf War drops.

Long story short, when I first played the campaign, I hated it. Literally thought it was complete and utter garbage to be honest. It was far too short, the characters were underdeveloped, the story wasn't gripping for me etc. I chose the Duga ending first lmao bye Adler (the catharsis though) But i left it for a week...then things started to change. I kept thinking about Adler and I spiralled so fast 💀

So, in terms of who my favourite character is...i think you know the answer 😌 I literally have a character analysis of Adler on google docs that's just pure word vomit that I might release one day. But I also love Bell. The Adler and Bell dynamic is so beautiful yet so tragic. I could talk about it all day *sighs*. Each character has their own kind of skillsets and intrigue so it's hard to pick but they are my main ones. Park and Sims are growing on me A LOT too 😭

In terms of OCs, I have about 4 COD OCs I am working on right now and 2 other ones for different video games. Will I share them? Eventually. I'm just scared of putting them out there for the time being. They're just so precious to me. What OCs do i like? Well for me, it's got to be Aleks (@alypink) and Jade (@sleepyconfusedpotato). Though, I've seen many that have caught my eye and i absolutely adore!

You’ve Got the Same Dream as Me (Ch.7)

Hello, kiddos! The idea for this fanfic came to me from a dream (again) I had about a month ago. Тhe main characters were Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill (don't ask me why), but with a light hand they have been replaced (sorry, guys). The main action of the dream took place somewhere in the sands. Аlthough this fanfic will feature Sir Crocodile and our beloved Buggy, the action shifts to the desert. No marines, ships etc. Sorry, not sorry :) The devil fruit's abilities are preserved. Catch the Mummy and Indiana Jones vibes :) I have no idea how many chapters there will be. Different titles and names from the original source material will be used to emphasise the general OP's vibe.

"I have to admit, it's really impressive", Catherine looked up at the high sand mountains floating in the sky. "Reminiscent of a sci-fi film where the mountains turned out to be waves. And here the sand mountains are floating somewhere.... Just wow! But I was more surprised to see a little deer wearing a pink hat, in the middle of the desert when we were driving here". 

"You don't see that in your library, do you?" Buggy came up behind her and put a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm not even gonna argue with that", she didn't realize she'd put her hand on his. "Oh, sorry.. I-I didn't want to..". 

She moved her hand to the side. 

"Well, folks, I think we're here", Rika laid out the map on the ground. "But this is where the map says the trail ends". 

Catherine sat down on the ground and opened her diary. 

"Yes, according to the map the trail ends here. Bu-u-ut according to the diary, there's a way further. And... if you believe this magic compass and what it shows", she lay down on the sand and pointed the compass at the map, "we have to go somewhere that way... But why does the map end here?" 

"Maybe it's just my guess, but what if the coordinates in the diary are from Alabasta's book", Rika shrugged. "Maybe he got further than everyone else. And your sister just, I don't know, rewrote the whole thing". 

"God, I don't understand anything", Catherine rolled over onto her back. "Why would my sister want to come here? What are we even looking for?"

"I'm looking for treasure. That's all I want. And when I find it, I'll be king", Buggy walked over to Catherine and held out his hand to her, - Get up. 

"King of what? Of bars and booze? What are you going to do with that treasure? I'm sorry, but you don't look like the man who likes to invest", she took his hand, and he helped her up. 

"The first thing I'll do is buy you a private jet, so you can finally fly back to your home and get out of my life". 

"You know what? Shove your private jet up your a..".

"Catherine, is there anything else in the diary?" Rika asked, coming up behind her.

"What? Yeah.. One moment… There's some kind of drawing of a cliff or a hill. And there's some kind of entrance drawn here. Buggy, you've been here, haven't you? Where do we go now?"

"Honestly, this is the first time I've been to this side of the cave. I've never been able to find this way before. Let me see", Buggy's got the diary in his hand and ran his fingers along the lines. "Hey, Egyptian girl. What's written here?"

"Fuck you…", - Catherine took the diary and started reading. "Journey. cave.. Byp..  Oh! Listen!

To continue your journey just go through the cave, catching the trail which looks like a sky wave. It seems like the road is dark and bypassed, but a ray of light will show the trodden path."

"Fuck, I'm starting to hate everything Egyptian", Buggy rolled his eyes. "What does mean? It's just a bunch of words. You know, I think the Egyptians lived an even more boring life than you and their only entertainment was rhyming everything. Cat-bed, night-fight, greed-shit, Buggy-Muggy.. Oh, I like that!" 

Catherine covered his mouth with her hand. 

"Do me a favour, clown. Stop annoying me and give me a minute, ok?".

Meanwhile, Rika was studying the map. 

"Folks, the beam is clearly pointing forwards. I think we should follow its trail. And we need to go-o-o…", -she ran her fingers over the map, "tha-a-at way. To the cave".

"Well, my pies, I suggest we have to take a little walk, but first, let's get ready. We’ll figure it out on the spot!"

"Oh, of course! Going somewhere without a clear plan is your strong point, as I understand it", Catherine shouted after him without taking her eyes off the diaries.

"Shush, woman! You're with “The One and Only” Buggy the Clown. I don't need a plan". 

"Fuck, I have no idea what we're going to do", he muttered under his breathe, went to the car and took out a large bag.

"I think I have everything we need. We've got small axes, flashlights and matches, and some different shit. Rika, this is for you", he handed her one flashlight and a small axe, "and this is for you, Cathie-pie". 

"Matches? Are you serious? I mean.. Don't you want to give me something bigger? Are there any other weird people in these parts who ate the devil fruit? What if I’m attacked by some minotaur man? Or by a mantis man with daggers in its paws?"

"Well, then you���re out of luck", Buggy laughed, "and watch out for the rubber boy in the straw hat, in case he's out there too". 

He turned around and slowly walked away.

"I hate you", she muttered an exhale, cast her eyes around and glanced behind Buggy. "Wa-a-it. You're kidding, right?"

She rushed after him.

They walked through a small gorge surrounded by soaring sandstone cliffs. With each step, the passage grew narrower and narrower, and the sun's rays penetrated it less and less. 

"God, because of your stupid jokes I think we're being followed", Catherine looked around.

"By whom? A big mantis? Or a minotaur?" Rika replied snidely, looking at the map.

"Can you stop mocking me? Maybe it's common for you to see such strange things every single day, that's not how I spend my free time in Loguetown!" she grabbed onto Buggy's arm. "Quiet! Stop. You hear that?"

"What are you talking about?" Rika asked in surprise, looking up from the map. 

"It's like water running. Can't you hear it?" Catherine tried to figure out where the sound was coming from. 

All three of them stopped. A light, cold wind blew through the gorge. It was so quiet inside that it seemed that if the rocks began to move, it could easily be heard. 

"There!" Catherine abruptly snapped out of her seat and ran in the direction of the sound. 

"Hey, Catherine, stop!" Buggy ran after her. 

As she ran through the narrow winding path, Catherine felt something grab her by the collar of her jeans and pull her backwards. 

"Are you out of your mind? Running off alone in the dark, not knowing where you're going. You don't know the local road. It could be anything. Holes or cliffs or God knows what", she heard Buggy's irritated voice behind her. He walked over to her and took his hand from her denim jacket.

"Fuck, Buggy. You can't scare me like that. Damn you and your chop chop shit. Don't you ever do that again!" 

"Don't do such stupid things again, you understand?" he grabbed her by the shoulders and looked into her blue eyes intently. For a second Catherine thought she saw concern in his eyes.

"Why are you suddenly so worried? Are you afraid you won't find your gold without me?"

He grabbed her hand and moved to her face closer.

"Because I…I..  I’m... even you’re the most annoying person in the world.. I don't w-", he took a long time to find the words. "Because I don't want my guide to the gold to get killed somewhere along the way. Because I want to get to the treasure, go home, pick up the first girl in the bar and have a fun night with her". 

"W-why.. you sa-… Y-you're an asshole!!"

"Is everything ok?" Rika asked, approaching them and holding the map in her hand.

"Yes, totally", Catherine turned away and discreetly wiped away the tears that had appeared. "Are we on the right track?" 

"According to my thoughts.. yeah. According to the map.. probably, yeah", Rika scratched her head and turned on the flashlight. "But I don't see any water. Look, guys! There's a little path ahead and there are some words on the walls".

Catherine began to run her hand along the walls, muttering words under her breath. She walked from side to side a few times with her hands on her head.

"Do you need help?" Buggy asked, watching Catherine walk back and forth.

"I don't need your help. If it were up to me, I wouldn't talk to you at all!"

"I guess, I missed something interesting", Rika looked at both of them questioningly.

"Ladies.. What did you say, Cathie-pie? A sky wave? I don't know anything about your spells, but that road over there looks like a wave, huh? - Buggy pointed to the torpid road.

"Right!… You’re not a fool, my friend. Light. Light. What's light got to do with it again?" Rika looked around. "Of all the light here, only those rays of sunlight that barely hit here". 

Catherine ran over to Buggy and started rummaging through his bag. 

"Honey, all you need is to ask", he smiled cheesily. "What are you looking for?"

"I'm looking for a mirror. And I know you have it, stupid clown".

"I don’t even want to ask about the mirror", Rika shook her head. 

"Oh, found it! Now get your ass up, I need your help. You're tall. Stretch out your arm and try to catch a ray of sunlight on the mirror", Catherine stood with her back to him and moved closer, "Just a little more... and more".

"I bet you'd love to repeat that to me under different circumstances", Buggy grinned. 

"You’re disg…"

"Holy fuck!" Rika jumped up and ran to Catherine. 

A faint ray of sunlight fell on the mirror. A curved path of light, clearly repeating the undulating shape of the road, fell against the cave walls. 

" …The trail which looks like a sky wave", they whispered in unison. 

"Shall we go?" Rika asked. 

"Em... Ladies… Look at the map. Could you please explain what the fuck is this?" 

"Do you see that road appearing on the map, too?" Rika asked with surprise in her tone.

"Yes", Catherine struggled to find her words. 

"Thanks God", Rika said with a slight laugh. 

"If it means I'm one step closer to the treasure, then let’s go, ladies!" Buggy could hardly contain his joy.

They walked for about 10 minutes before they reached the larger and looser part of the cave. 

"Turn on the flashlight, you can't see anything", Catherine asked Rika.

"Now, give me a second".

The small light from the flashlight illuminated the space. 

"Folks, we're either damn lucky or something else, but there seemed to be a torch... right there", Rika said, pointing the flashlight at a small object.

Buggy detached his hand and took the torch off the wall. 

"And you were complaining about me trusting you with matches. Your way out, my cotton candy!" he said, reattaching his hand back. 

Catherine growled, reached into her bag and pulled out matches. It was only on the third attempt that the torch was lit. Small paths of old stone could be seen all around. 

"God, it's like I'm in a fucking tomb", Catherine muttered under her breath. 

"Well, now where do we go?" Buggy asked in a whisper.

"Yes, now where do we go, princess?" a lower male voice suddenly came through. 

Buggy and Catherine raised their heads at the same time. 

"The beehive?!" Catherine asked with surprise in her voice.

"Crocodile?" Buggy's jaw dropped. 

"Why are you so surprised? By the way, you forgot to say hello to your friend!" he pointed the torch at Rika's face and put the hook to her throat. "It would be a shame to cut that pretty face". 

"Hey, beehive or whatever your name is, let her go!" Catherine was about to take two steps but felt Buggy gently pull her behind him.

"Look, clown, she's got character, but no brains at all. Well, you and she are alike in that", Crocodile grinned. 

"Shut your mouth!" Buggy hissed.

"You heard him, honey, he told me to shut my mouth", he said to Rika. "Funny, isn't it?" 

"Very funny, my love!" she laughed, and Crocodile lowered his hook. "God, you've found me at last, I was tired of listening to their lovemaking all the way". 

She turned to Crocodile, put her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately. 

"First of all, you're a bitch. Second of all, what I just saw is ew", Catherine's face twisted. "I just don't understand one thing. Why all this?"

"Why? Thanks to your sister, we found out about the coordinates in the diary. But since we didn't have the diary, we had to wait for you. She knew you'd get worried and go looking for her. I just didn't think you'd be dumb enough to believe the first girl you met and take her with you. Okay, that clown, his brains never worked", Crocodile lit a cigar.

"Hey, watch your mouth!" Catherine bellowed, clutching Buggy's arm.

"Geez, that's nice, she's sticking up for him. Isn't that sweet, dear?" Crocodile asked Rika, stroking her cheek. 

"Please spare me from this. I've suffered enough already", she replied with a chuckle and took the cigarette from his hands. 

"Blah, blah, it's like I'm back in kindergarten. And frankly speaking, you're like a villain in a stupid movie, sitting there and telling me everything. But you stole the book, what the hell else do you want", Catherine asked. 

"See, here's the thing. A book without a compass and a map isn't very useful. Unfortunately. Those two things are. They're marvellous. They'll lead me to the treasure", Crocodile took two big steps towards Catherine.

Buggy instinctively took two steps back, nudging her. 

"Well then, take your map and compass, go look for your treasure. But let her go", Buggy nodded at Catherine.

"No, no, no, I need her. Her sister is good at reading maps, but not so good at ancient languages. Your girlfriend is good at it. And I could use you too. You've got the same dream as me, clown. But you stole something that belongs to me". 

"Factually, it doesn't belong to anyone", Buggy grinned. 

"The fact is, I have everything I need now. Compass, book, map, key. Your girlfriend. Oh, and I've got a surprise for her. Two, actually. Laura, darling! Where are you?" Crocodile sat down on the sand and took a drag on his cigar. "Do you recognize them?"

"Brown-haired bitch!" Catherine's eyes widened. "And.. Jules?"

1 - 02/12/2023 : liked the idea of Heidi with a buzzcut, i think it really suits her, a radical change from her usual hairstyle, but a cool one... i love having futch OCs

2 - 04/12/2023 : chike chike chike.. frogot why i drew him think i was thinking of him doing cat things and it was gonna be a lot more than 2 drawings but i gived up x ,, but this is the most up 2 date drawing of his current design aside from like. the one colour wheel wip. so ur getting crumbs for him im sorry chike fans (1 person)

3-6 - 05/12/2023 : firstly, saw sum official art of Peach on twitter and wanted to redraw it, i loveee her eyes.. slay.. secondly, DIESEL REDESIGN YAY1!! it is now up to date. yippie. i decided he should be fat, very big brain of me.. i didnt Hate his old design but it was kinda giving kokichi danganronpa and like thats not him LOL.. but anyway i luv this drawing

7 - 08/12/2023 : okay guys lets take a silly one now!!! erm anyway. was thinking about nina and the neurons, as you do, thought it would be funny to draw nina activating her neurons, like that 1 pic of the guy levitating pizza.... she served so hard with her claires accessories rave ball earrings and fluffy bobbles tho lets be real.. was very disappointed to learn shes not a real scientist

8 - 12/12/2023 : twas in the middle of finalising a design for my human Sonny, so heres some lil phone doodles where i was figuring out his hair and hat, i ended up going with the right hand side, thought it would be worth posting them

9 - 16/12/2023 : first sort of draft of his design being put to use, not my faaave drawing but it was nice to finally get him drawn, it was an absolute ballache trying to get his design perfect, the art block was Strong that week.. anyway, i did end up changing some things, just tweaks mostly, and i scrapped the hoodie, i wanted him to have a bigass varsity jacket collar to hide behind, so i opted for him wearing a plain t-shirt underneath instead, eventually

10 - 20/12/2023 : Buttercup and his scary ass big blue freak eyes, based on a tweet i saw, the OP went private eye fink but the og tweet said like "i don't have rizz, i have unsettlingly large blue eyes that are haunted by visions", and thats just Buttercup.. so heres him, having a jolly good stare

11 - 22/12/2023 : that chooshada drawing again, just recoloured with NER apple green livery :) i think she looks super cute with it, it's not entirely accurate in terms of lining coz i was referencing pics of her basis which are like 10p black and white taken on a potato kinda deal

i mean. this op ruined my life. erased was such a beautiful show that took me on a journey i wasn't expecting and it's my favorite time travel related story ever. i was so moved by it and i was devastated when the op changed because of [spoilers]. the show has a crazy ending but it was thrilling and parts of it were the most anxious i can recall an anime ever making me. what a gift honestly this op makes me tear up whenever i hear it

2. bloody stream by coda - jojo part 2 ed

OK so i was torn between this, sono chi no kioku, and fighting gold, but ultimately this won bc part 2 is my favorite of the three and i love and miss the cgi openings so much so fighting gold's visuals got disqualified. i fucking LOVE this op i linked the version with the extra sound effects but the visuals are all just so fun and i love joseph and caesar so much and coda is brilliant and this song is just a fucking party and FUCK YEAH

3. cry baby by offical hige dandism - tokyo revengers op 1

oh my god i almost forgot to put this one in. i had bnha op 2 peace sign in this list at first and then i was like I FORGOR. anyways cry baby is an incredible fucking op that was part of why i got hooked to tokyo revengers. i have a lot of complicated feelings about this series but overall it still means a lot to me and has been the most involved i've been in a fandom, and it is definitely special to me even after everything. i think this song has a wonderful energy to it that gives me such a strong impression of takemichi and toman and the whole theme of fighting on for a brighter future and the visuals are simple but extremely effective and beautiful. they do a great job at portraying takemichi's struggles. i love u crybaby hero. i love this song dearly

4. hikari are by burnout syndromes - haikyuu op 5 (shiratorizawa arc)

this one is here for a lot of reasons. this arc is one of my favorite parts of haikyuu because of what it means for karasuno to win and go to nationals, but also for my fav character tsukki to finally have his Moment where he gets hooked on volleyball by being able to block ushijima,,, AND the shot of ushijima pushing hinata and tsukki down when the karasuno senpais daichi, asahi, and tanaka come to their rescue and support them to push ushijima back.... there's just so much significance to this season AND in terms of this op itself, the song is so beautiful and the visual where hinata jumps and turns into the crow diving makes me tear up every time (and did again when i rewatched it for this kgjsdg) and i just. i really love it a lot

5. jikai yokoku by tatsuya kitani - sentai daishikkaku

i too am going to include this bc omfg what a fucking banger of a song and the visuals are incredible. both the lyrics and the visuals convey the repeating cycle fighter d is in and his struggle to break free and fight back and i LOVE the parts of the song sung in children's voices because it ties even more into the sentai theme and the words themselves are JUST. ITS SO GOOD WATCH SENTAI DAISHIKKAKU IM SO GLAD I SUCCUMBED TO CRAB'S PROPAGANDA

first death by tk from ling tosite sigure - chainsaw man ed 8

this ending ruined my fucking life. ok so i read chainsaw man over a year before the anime aired and like it was good but it was confusing and so i didn't think about it much after that. BUT THE ANIME DID SUCH AN INCREDIBLE JOB i suddenly cared about it so much. the effort that was put into creating a different ed for each episode is remarkable and they're literally all incredible songs with incredible animation and i truly would put all of them on this list. but first death wins because episode 8 ruined me and then this ed singlehandedly made me fall in love with himeno and akihime. i suddenly saw the beauty and tragedy in their relationship and codependency and i was enamored by how the last few episodes of the anime felt like a love letter to himeno. she deserves it. ed 9 (deep down by aimer) is also beloved but this one makes me crazy. seeing aki and himeno at the gravesite where they met, and sharing a smoke, and fighting together perfectly coordinated, and aki at the gravesite alone after her death.... it's so cinematic and a story on it's own and it's just so lovely. i think the song is also very csm and the energy of it is unmatched

2. el canto del colibri by mabanua - megalobox op 2

i was pretty torn as to whether to put the first op, kakatte koi yo by NakamuraEmi, or this one, but i ultimately went with this one because it is a true reflection of the core of this series and i think it being in spanish is a great bridge to the characters of season 2 (it is amazing to watch something where brown characters aren't of an ambiguous minority race; the culture is deeply intrinsic to the themes of this season and it's so special). i don't want to get too in detail and spoil anything but i went into megalobox expecting a regular sports anime and got out of it so much more than that, and it truly touched me. i listen to the entire ost by mabanua often, and it comforts me a lot.

3. datte atashi no hero by LiSA - bnha ed 3

ok this one is just the best bnha ending ever and the official bakudeku anthem of all time, and the fantasy au being animated will NEVER be forgotten. this song is such a joy to listen to and it being about deku's feelings toward bakugou is truly amazing. i love all the details in the visuals and i would love to see more eds like this honestly where the characters are just put into a little AU. it's just really good!!!

4. hunting for your dream by galneryus - hxh ed 2 (yorknew arc)

ok i had to find a version of this with the lead in during the last few moments of the episode bc that was always badass. anyways yorknew arc changed me and i became a deranged beast about chrollo and chrollopika for months. hands down my favorite part of hxh, and i just love the energy of this ed. there is nothing really special about the visuals but i still rly love when it goes through all the phantom troupe members and mostly i am just fond of the memories of this time

5. future fish by style five - free ed 2

dammit ok i put the first ed splash free here at first but i rewatched them both and changed my mind. i watched free rly late compared to like everyone else (2019 i think???) but oh my god i would put every ed on here LOL especially this one and splash free. i love the outfits and "story" of splash free but this one is even MORE fun with all the different profession outfits and the guys just being sillygoofy and oh my god its so cute i miss them so much I NEED TO REWATCH FREE RIGHT NOW

(i have to give honorary number 6 to hyori ittai by yuzu (hxh ed 5) because even tho chimera ant arc was difficult to get through at times, i love this song a lot and the visuals of the gungi pieces especially with gon and killua fuck me up. the ending of this arc with meruem and komugi destroyed me and i cried like a fucking baby)

Hello op tis me again!! Apologies for taking [checks notes] 84 years to get back to you I have had A Week. However!!! Cayn and Ysabel continue to live rent free <3 like I'm just so obsessed with how gothic they are which is like. My favorite thing tbh. Part of me is gratified bc everything you said I kept nodding and going yeah I thought so, because your art was so *clear* the vibes were just. So easy to read (in the best way). I THOUGHT the ring was a match with Aegon's and also rip the rat tail long live the rat tail. I have to say Ysabel haunts me but Cayn scratches an Itch. Like. U feel me? Cayn belongs squarely in Hannibal NBC with his palatable person suit that is doing very little to distract *him* from the fact that he's about to eat someone whole and raw and it's probably going to be someone he loves before he moves on to someone he hates. Maybe it'll even be the same person. Who knows!! There's this tragedy to them both but Cayn is almost trying to tell himself he can Change it and Control the way the tragedy will fall (and getting humbled bad lmao) while Ysabel is like. Carrion carted away by the waves. Never stood a chance and at some point she stopped fighting very hard. Also I feel like. There's this Deep Intimacy yet Huge Emotional Distance between Aemond and Ysabel where neither knows how to communicate or really Approach someone so instead they have to consume maim kill leave a mark. I cannot touch you except to hurt you ect. And her obsession with him is in and of itself so haunted bc it's like she wants to Eat Him but she Doesn't but that way she can Control It but. And we stay at that but. While with Aegon and Cayn it's like yes I do like you. I fear writing the stronger word. Instead I will eat you whole and you will remember me by the imprint of my teeth on your side and I will remember you by the way I bloat with desire for you and choke on your blood <3 and it's like wooow. Wooow. Love it. Obsessed with it. As you can tell I do not like them normal. Do u know what happens to them at the end of the war? I can't imagine Ysabel ending up any better than Helaena. But also. I gotta say. Big fan of tragic siblings I am—I have So Many Feelings about these two relating to each other qnd hoe The Love Was Apparently There and it Didn't Change Anything. Too many feelings to put it too words. After all that word vomit (thank u if you read the whole way through) I wish to tell you that u have inspired me to make my Bolton oc more weird and unsettling and haunted. My disgraced Lenora and her legion of skinned animals and skulls <3 My Shadowskin Lady. IM JUST GLAD TO BE TALKING ABOUT THEM !

it did make me sit and stare and giggle a little bit because its true you were very on the mark with them . i do think part of the charm with the boltons Is their inability to be anything but very un-subtly gothic and weird and strange . you look at them and you can immediately clock what's going on here .

and its very true… ill be so real and genuine i STILL havent watched hannibal the whole way through but ive absorbed the vibe enough through many years of being a gay person online to where yeah definitely this guy has some hannibal in him . that bit of restraint in really really trying to put yourself in a square that slowly but surely begins to crack under the weight of at the core needing to feed the urge to hurt something . believes himself to be strong enough to keep it away but ultimately the same fate waits each time …… similarly to ysabel . they both end up in the same place of hurt inflicted on others and in turn on themselves but while cayn fights against it and tries to rise above it ysabel leans into it and accepts it regardless of how much it scares her because she's always been taught to lay down and take whatever comes her way as a polite nice lady that doesn't fight and doesn't say no .

i do like to spin their relationships around in my mind . both separately and between each other . with ysabel i feel like her most intimate moments Are when she gets to be a little unhinged ie biting and chewing on someone etc because its very raw . so entirely separate from anything she knows and anything that's expected of her and so desperate and pleading that it gets very real . whereas cayn for a long time sees that violence as a failure to himself and in turn prefers to sit down and have a polite conversation and only thinks of how it would be to reach across the table and strangle a man . ultimately though that violence is inherent to him i like to think he wants to feel in control of it . wants to have the upper hand no matter what and doesnt like when it becomes an urge that just drives you without thought or reason . ysabel starving animal who cant help it vs cayn predator on a calculated hunt etc in the end theyre both very much formed by being raised by a dad who was so much worse . united in misery and a root of violence and hate and death that was planted in them from the moment they were born . they both have it and they will never escape it because there was never a point where it wasnt there. as for endings ….

i'm a little conflicted on them both partially because i still need to iron out some war details etc but as a general frame of reference it ends aaaalmost the same as in canon beyond the fact that the greens win a little more vividly . well . as much as you can 'win' a terrible tragic war with your own family . in the end jaehaera + aegon + alicent + cayn + ysabel and her kids are alive . aegon iii and viserys ii hang around too like in canon . i imagine errhhmmmm… (taps my noggin) aegon remarries . ive been fond of cassandra baratheon stepmom to jaehaera lately . well.. king's landing politics ensue . everyone is sort of miserable . i swear that i'll get to figuring it all out one day . i swear!!!!

most relevant to court i guess would be ysabel since i imagine she remains in the red keep for most of the war and after it . mentioned somewhere i think but she has two kids - a daughter (aelora) and a son (baelor) both of which make it through the war - but baelor is weak and sickly kind of partially because ysabel is basically left half-bedbound after her second pregnancy that probably shouldn't have happened in the first place . … he dies of illness pretty young which sends ysabel spiraling even worse than she already was post war . girls who have their bodies irreversibly ruined and torn apart to where they can barely function anymore in the hopes of having a son - giving a little boy to a husband who is bound to die at war and having your son follow closely behind and having it all be for nothing . i think she grows to resent her daughter silently for being a girl (westerosi misogyny so deeply seated even in its women) and i don't think they ever really grow all that close . sits and rots in her chambers or in the gardens and dreams about her dead son and her dead husband instead of looking to the family she has that are still there .

i think she's kind of disconnected from court just based on the fact she's entirely too hurt physically and mentally to really even be able to contribute much . she's allowed to sit in her misery because she's family to the targs atp but it's a little rough . in a little twist of weird connections i think she would get along with aegon iii pretty well in the sense that they're both horrendously miserable and she projects some sort of son onto him. sits and reads with him and talks about whatever kids talk about and acts like nothing is wrong for a few hours

i played with the idea of her eventually joining the silent sisters as a sort of final frontier of guilt and shame and horror at what her life becomes but i don't think she would even have the drive to do that much at the end of the war LOL

and cayn …

this one is trickier because he's …. … ……..? i dont know. i think its tough to find a real direction for him in my mind and i cant figure out why . but i think i got it.. more context first > their dad dies during the war, i imagine somewhere around rook's rest after the north is openly split apart or a bit later on when they actually try to go against the starks directly, and in my mind it kind of leaves cayn in (similarly to ysabel) in a state of being trapped in the past in a place he can never return to . their dad represents everything cayn believes he should be and all he should live up to and all his house and family stand for and seeing him die really does get to him . not to mention he also gets hurt pretty bad - just that chunk of harm that comes with war and what it'll do to a man. forever stuck on some field of battle far away and the world keeps spinning but you never quite spin along with it . dons his dad's armor and now suddenly he's saddled with the weight of responsibility and duty and all their family's pain both literally and metaphorically . kind of resembles the bolton skinchanging theories if you really get insane about it ie you take on a man's skin (his weird flesh armor) and now you're just as much him as you are yourself etc

i imagine he returns to king's landing for a while after they've duked it out with the starks for a bit and the north cools off a little . comes back and he's hurt and aegon is hurt and barely conscious half the time and his facade probably drops pretty harshly . spends some time taking care of aegon and doing what he's told and dreams about the fact that there has to be a purpose and a meaning to fighting a war . goes against what he used to want (restraint) and drives himself to violence and hate because if he doesn't then he'll sit down and think and realize that his dad died for nothing and theyve been fighting stupid battles for a cause that he doesn't really care about . rabid guard dog off the leash with no true goal he wants for and no true cause he believes in .

by the time the war ends and aegon remarries i imagine he leaves court because admittedly he would actually seethe a little bit seeing aegon married again . with helaena it was okay because i think he recognizes neither of them chose that and neither of them (from my perspective) really love the other in any romantic sense but when it's an active choice he gets really really upset . silently of course . <3 the gay yearning catches up with him and he faces the fact aegon is barely a person anymore and he has no place at court in turn . goes home to the north and with the greens sort-of-winning he's given winterfell and titles and they settle into some kind of peace for a little while. he marries a karstark girl because it's what his father had intended for him and they're about as unhappy as you can get in a relationship. maybe they have a son in time but more than likely not. i think while everything kind of holds up for a while there are a lot of issues here that don't seem to ever really get resolved properly - lots of unhappy lords and lots of bastard siblings who think they know better and lots of rumors and disagreements and a steady swirling pot of disaster boiling under the surface. i can imagine he goes off to fight off some rebellion after a good few years and ends up dead . maybe for the best .

in another reality that im going to manifest in my mind space cayn stays in king's landing after the war and has someone else manage the north . sticks around and tries to ignore the fact that he's jealous and angry and feels no satisfaction or ease even when they've won and the war is over . sticks around and has a toxic evil homosexual relationship with the king that grows strained when he has a new wife and a kingdom to run properly this time and they settle into a horribly tense unbearable distance that's broken only when cayn steps up and poisons him or just chokes him out or something and proceeds to kill himself ala your first gay situationship where dying feels like a good alternative to having to process the fact that you cant really be together . hope you understand . either way the boltons (well . the ones that are relevant in this case there are always cousins and second cousins etc in asoiaf to pick up the slack) fizzle out and end up miserable or dead even after the promise of power and status is fulfilled . don't aim too high or you'll have that much further to fall if you will a whole lot of nonsense being put out here but i hope you enjoy whatever's cooking …. really really appreciate the interest and im glad to provide whatever u might be wondering about + more ramblings… would LOVE to see more freakish bolton ocs also . there is nothing like a horrible house that raises horrible people who reek of tragedy and terror and a doomed narrative and SO many chances to make something so fun please tell me more !

Orchids

A number of people have said some very touching things about my recent Danganronpa fanfic. In particular, the tags on this reblog by @ranger-kellyn got me to thinking.

First and foremost, it's amazing to see somebody quoting lines from my work like this. It means so much to me that it had this kind of impact.

What really sends me, though, is that I struggled a lot with that bit comparing Kyoko to an orchid. I mean, the whole fic was tough. But all I know about orchids came from like two episodes of Star Trek: Voyager, and I think they were space orchids. So I was frantically checking Wikipedia and thinking "man, this isn't gonna work, because I have no idea what I'm doing." I almost cut the orchid dialogue, but I finally convinced myself that if it sounds dumb I can blame it on Makoto. Here's me vaguetweeting about it a couple of months ago:

In my mind, all I could think of was some orchid...ologist...expert...guy reading my fic and being distracted by the glaring horticultural errors. I never dreamed this would be the part that would move anyone to tears. It's extremely rewarding. ("Haha, in your face, Past Me! And you said it wouldn't work!")

So I've learned an important lesson, and I thought I should share it with anybody else who feels like their WIP is hot garbage. Writing this story was a war of attrition, and there were days I felt like I couldn't string two words together. But you'll always be your own worst critic, and you'll never know which of your stuff will resonate with your audience. You just have to put it out there and shoot your shot.

First of all, no need to apologize for your English, and it’s perfectly legible regardless! I’m going to paste the OP’s exact words here because I don’t know exactly how CuriousCat works and I don’t want to original text to get deleted so no one can see what exactly I’m arguing against, so here it is below:

Answer: good question! if people really believe that then i can't blame them for not wanting to have anything to do with kyman, however my interpretation is different. buckle up cause this is gonna get kinda long though....

so first of all, cartman is without a doubt, a bigoted person. he's racist, he's classist, he's shown signs of being sexist too (though nowhere as bad as butters lol), etc. the thing is, his anti semitic remarks towards kyle for being a jewish person feel different than his other very backwards beliefs. i'll expand on this. 

take for example the way he treats token, often alluding to the fact he's black, applying stereotypes to him and commenting stuff such as 'your people'. all this because token is black, nothing to do with token's personality or hobbies, it's just because token is a black person. when he shot token it wasn't because token did something to him, it was because token was a black person, and therefore, a threat to him, a white person. with this we can assume that the first thing cartman notes about token is his ethnicity above all else. he doesn't see him as a person but just part of a minority he looks down upon.

now let's address his relationship with kyle. he belittles kyle, calls him a 'goddamn jew', has threatened his life, etc. to the naked eye you would think it's exactly the same to what he does to token but that's where i disagree. he doesn't hate kyle for being jewish, he hates kyle for BEING kyle. is it cause kyle is smarter than him? maybe. is it cause kyle makes has things he doesn't have? maybe. but the point is that kyle's very existence annoys cartman so he has to put him down and the most obvious thing he could possibly remark about kyle is the fact that he's jewish because it's a low hanging fruit. but that's not the only thing cartman has had issue with concerning kyle. cartman tried to make people turn against gingers and emphasized that daywalkers were the worst type. who is a daywalker? kyle, of course. when he found out kyle was partly new jerseyite, he was against that too. he just tries to single out kyle as a menace as soon as he has an excuse for it. and that's why i don't actually think he's a nazi as much as he's a big fucking dick with an unhealthy obsession for kyle. i'm convinced that if kyle wasn't jewish, cartman would still find an excuse to get on his case

furthermore, and this is something that escapes fans a lot, cartman has pretty much stopped calling kyle 'jew' for quite some time now. the development started in s19 where he promised he wouldn't anymore after getting the shit beat out of him by pc principal. he still did in the ninjas episode, same season, but ever since that habit has died. so, in any case, i think cartman is mellowing out…

I’m not sure if this is the answer you’re looking for, but honestly, even as someone who really isn’t super fond of both-sided Kyman myself, I kind of agree with a lot of this take and I have for a while, though I don’t think it’s all because of Kyle either. 

Cartman’s feelings towards Judaism seem extremely complicated to me, ranging from fetishizing the religion to outright hating it, and I think in large part this all does come down to his obsession with Kyle. Whether you believe the theory that Cartman is secretly in love with Kyle or not, it’s undeniable that he is obsessed with him and getting his attention. Maybe even having the envy of wanting to be like him in some aspects. 

I’m not going to go into a deepdive into this because I’m not the most well versed about Cartman’s character as a whole, but I can go over how Cartman’s feelings towards Kyle and Judaism seem to work. 

To start off, to say that his anti-semitism entirely comes down to how he feels about Kyle isn’t really true either. In early seasons, Cartman is already spouting out some pretty nasty stuff at Kyle about him being Jewish, and I would argue that this far back, he didn’t yet really hate Kyle or have any real obsession towards him. Not moreso than the other boys anyway- In fact, he even claims to hate Kenny the most, and there seems to be a genuine effort on his part to be liked by Stan and Kyle who tend to pick on him or show their outright hatred towards him- That’s not to say Cartman isn’t an asshole himself, but that seems like how he is towards everyone- He genuinely seems to crave their attention though, especially in episodes like Prehistoric Iceman. We’ve also seen that Liane seemed to have a pretty bad influence on Cartman at this time, teaching him some fairly bigoted shit. It feels likely to me that Liane probably had some if not full influence on Cartman’s opinion on Jews at this time, as she probably did with everything else he believes, leading to his general bigotry towards most minorities that he still holds today. 

What I agree with OP about though is that if Kyle had not been Jewish, Cartman would not be so intent on his anti semitism. I still believe he would probably be in the same way he is racist towards black people like Tolkien, but I can’t see him being nearly as obsessed with it, nor do I think he would fetishize it as much as he sometimes does. Cartman’s hatred of Jewish people in large part is because of Kyle, not the other way around. Of course, this isn’t at all Kyle’s fault and is still extremely egregious on Cartman’s part, but I think it’s important in meta discussions of how Cartman thinks and feels towards Kyle. 

One thing in OP’s post that does bother me however is the last part- Cartman “mellowing out”. I really don’t like the implications that Cartman’s antisemitism becoming more subtle is the equivalent to it being less, or even an improvement on Cartman’s behalf. Like, I do agree that he’s a child who has had a lot of bad influences and that he’s not beyond outgrowing his bigotry, but the show itself hasn’t really given us that just because Cartman doesn’t call Kyle “jew (derogatory)” anymore. We can’t get into his head obviously and see exactly what he thinks of Jewish people now but it’s pretty clear to me that he still holds a lot of antisemitic values and likes to torment Kyle in targeted ways because he’s Jewish. 

Season 21 and the first episode of season 23 are pretty obvious signs of that. In S21Ep7, he straight up told Heidi conspiracy theories about Jewish people and basically convinced her that Kyle has been manipulating her simply because he’s Jewish, as well as even going as far as teaching her that Jewish people are always “trying to get ahead of everyone else”. This isn’t some micro aggression he accidentally dropped despite showing vast improvement most of the time, this is extreme Nazi rhetoric, and it’s just as dangerous and damaging as the shit he was saying before Season 19. In S23Ep1, Cartman uses ICE to have Kyle’s family separated and placed in detention facilities in an extremely targeted act of revenge. He knows what he’s doing, and it’s obvious. He’s not stupid, and I don’t know how anyone can fall for his very clearly fake act in the episode that he somehow suddenly forgot Kyle was Jewish and that this situation would be something Kyle would be extra sensitive to. I’m going to give the benefit of the doubt that OP just forgot about these episodes but this is NOT an improvement in his behavior. It’s just more subtle and manipulative on his part which is disturbing and dangerous in its own right.

And then to talk about Cartman in the recent specials, I think there’s a strong argument for his behavior towards Judaism just seeming really fetishistic and even disingenuous, so even if his hatred isn’t there he’s still pretty antisemitic. 

So yeah, TL;DR, Cartman’s antisemitism seems to mostly revolve around his hatred/obsession with Kyle and he has not mellowed out in any positive ways since Season 19.
