At this point, I view most of Star Wars non-canon.  As far as I’m concerned the only canon is the originals trilogy and the prequels (Clone Wars is on the fence).  Current canon’s probably gonna get ret-conned anyway, so why fuss about it?  I’ve read fanfics better.  I’ve read fanfics worse.  George Lucas is gone.  Everything is a fanfic.  I’m gonna make my own canon and I’m gonna enjoy it. 

(I will accept The Mandalorian.  For now.  If I don’t like Season 3 it will not be canon.  I have spoken.)

Okay, yeah, cool, "I find your lack of faith disturbing" and all that, but dude. Ani. My guy. These guys don't know the Jedi ways. Of course they have no faith in it.

I mean, the most of The Force they've seen is you strangling a guy, which you could do with your hands, or a rope, if you weren't a drama queen. You're the force-user, the trained-to-be-Jedi on the ship. If you want them to have faith in you, you gotta explain The Force and the Jedi ways, and their power, because they have no way to educate themselves on it.

How about instead of killing people, you make a powerpoint and sit them down and tell them why they should have faith.

I've been thinking about why I love Andor so much (besides the fact that it's brilliant and the best star wars media in years) and it led to me thinking about the fact that most of my favorite star wars media is within the time of the Empire.

I think it boils down to the core story of Star Wars, the timeless struggle of a few desperate people against a looming enemy. the indomitable human (or alien) spirit. the innate desire for justice that prevails against all odds. the catharsis of seeing the abusive systems crumble from within, inch by suffocated inch.

I think the best stories are those that we can find within ourselves. maybe even when we don't live in a time of despotic regimes, we will still have to go to war with the oppression in our homes, or our minds. we have to wake up every day and make every effort to fight the good fight. and when the evil creeps in, keeps us apart, confuses and pushes us down, we have to shake off the dust, learn to trust, and fight!

Happy Star Wars Day! This is my very simple cosplay of Princess (later General) Leia with my wonderfully kitsch vintage style Star Wars bag from Tesco supermarket. This artwork apparently shows both Han Solo and Leia wielding red or pink lightsabers while Luke points a blaster at the viewer, which is opposite to how these characters use weapons in the movies. I wonder if this was an early movie poster released before the actual film, or if it is early fan art? One of my favorite tropes in Star Wars fanfiction? Anakin accidentally getting into a relationship/having everyone assume he’s in a specific relationship.

It could be set during the Clone Wars era while Obi-Wan and Anakin are negotiating with a potential republic ally planet; and boom, they accidentally get married in the planets customs. This happening more than once would be particularly amusing due to the Jedi High Council having to constantly dissolve marriages that are all in some way, due to Anakin.

Or it could be set in the original trilogy era where Darth Vader is frantically searching for Luke, and all the stormtroopers and Empire command are like “we’ve never seen Lord Vader like this.. he must care about that rebel Skywalker.” Because Darth Vader is going all protective dad and getting pissed at people trying to hurt Luke cause of bounties or something. So everyone assumes that they’re married? Engaged?? Betrothed??? In a relationship at least???? Rumors, of course, spread. And when Luke is like ‘he’s my father’ everyone is in shock because assuming that they’re fucking was basically acknowledged as a fact.

Yesterday, we were watching Star Wars, and Princess Leia says this line. And my dad says, "Who died and left you in charge?"

And I look over at him 😐 and say, "...Everyone. Literally everyone on Alderaan." 🤣

The huge open-mouthed smile my dad gave that resulted from this joke, also resulted in a high-five
