Well. For obvious reasons the bigger prankster is Emira! Come now, She's been pranking Amity probably since she could walk. Amity shows a lot of restraint. Plotting and waiting for the right time to strike. Does Amity ever get the last laugh in pranks? I would say. No. Not very often. Pranks are not (my) Amity's forte or strong suit it takes a lot to fool two illusionists who have been doing that type of Showmanship magic all her life. That's more Gus's Speciality Amity more than often tends to suffer for it!

Etc. mostly because they know the other hasn’t bothered to learn the language. So they just like to be ✨dramatic✨.

Tony went to a full moon party at Kamar Taj. Steph wiped everyone’s memory of that night besides her own. But the image of Tony with his tie around his head drunk and dancing in a fountain will occasionally make her giggle randomly. Tony just assumes she’s losing her mind.

We covered conflict before. We denounced PMs' positions as wrong before. But this is where the editor balks - anything that makes it look even vaguely like we might, possibly, support Gaza. Even if the article itself would not have been an opinion piece, but a news feature about events on the ground.

We have free press, baby! But avoid the matter entirely if you can. It's delicate and depressing, why would you talk about it? Don't rock the boat. Be quiet. You don't need to go there.

Self-censorship is alive and well.

Your "non-confrontational" choices not to communicate hurt the people you don't confront btw. You're not a martyr for keeping everything inside and then running away when other people don't know what's going on with you. You just decided avoiding rejection and sparing your own feelings was easier than being honest and giving them the agency to respond and make their own decisions. You chose to hurt them so they didn't hurt you. You think your feelings are realer and more important than their own care and love for you. You were always just waiting for a sign to run.

"If they cared about me they would have–" did you tell them that? Did you let them know how you feel? How much importance you place on those requirements they don't know they have to meet? This secret criteria and secret signs for your secret feelings? Or are you making them play a game they don't know even exists?

Your choice not to communicate isn't cute. You didn't run because they didn't feel the same for you. You ran so you wouldn't have to risk rejection. You chose to prioritise your own self-protection over their trust in and love for you. At least own that.
