Phoenix Theory: A New Theory of Everything
Tumblr media
Created by Kenneth A. Griggs, Phoenix is the Physics of Entanglement, Networks and Information eXchanges. It is a proverbial “Theory of Everything.” In its most nascent form, Phoenix is a physical theory of Patterns that is best expressed via the mathematics of Combinatorics.
In one incarnation, Phoenix presents physics using discrete graph theory, whose rules and concepts are instead centered around graph structure and graph transformations. In this way, particular vertex and edge combinations reproduce each particle in the SM. Other combinations imply Dark Matter which are particles that are not easily measured or observed. By contrast, the Standard Model (SM) presents physics as a set of various continuous particle-fields that interact on a flat spacetime background. As a consequence of Phoenix theory, the complexities and nuances of the SM elegantly simplify, offering new insights into our universe.
The Phoenix Theory 101 slide presentation and the 10 Phoenix Theory Seminars introduce Phoenix Theory. Phoenix Theory to explain major mysteries in modern physics using discrete graph theory instead of the traditional continuous quantum field model, aka the Standard Model (SM).
In Phoenix Theory, particles are represented as combinations of 10 vertex types connected by edges. These combinations form graphs that correspond to all known particles, with the possibility of predicting new ones. The theory reframes the Standard Model by simplifying its 61+ fundamental fields into just 10 basic building blocks.
Tumblr media
Phoenix Theory resolves issues like dark matter, matter/anti-matter asymmetry, and quantum
gravity. It represents particles and their interactions using matrices and their transformations. The creator Ken Griggs demonstrates that this approach is consistent with the Standard Model while offering new insights and explanations for various physical phenomena.
Phoenix Theory also introduces an alternative perspective on causality. Unlike our current belief structure, which emphasizes causality driving events from the past into the present, this new perspective suggests that the future also informs the past and the present. In this framework, events are interconnected through networks, akin to parallel events, rather than following a strict linear progression along world lines. It’s an intriguing concept that invites further exploration.
And while Phoenix Theory reframes the Standard Model, it offers a fantastic new toolbox for deriving ADS/CFT, manipulating quantum wormholes, exploring Chaos Theory and so much more. Learn more at: www.phoenixtheory.tech.

one of my favourite aspects of supernatural that you very rarely see in paranormal shows is that sam and dean are already versed in the world they live in. there’s no sudden discovery of ghosts and demons and now they have to learn about them along with the audience; they are born into it and already know all about it. it allows the audience to follow their personal story instead of also trying to figure out this new world and its rules
the first season is full of knowledge we never see them learn; “w*ndigoes are in the minnesota woods or- or northern michigan. i’ve never even heard of one this far west.” […] “great. well then this [his gun] is useless.” (1x02), “you don’t break a curse. you get the hell out of its way.” (1x08), d: “it’s a god. a pagan god, anyway.” […] “the annual cycle of its killings? and the fact that the victims are always a man and a woman. like some kind of fertility right.” […] s: “the last meal. given to sacrificial victims. d: “yeah, i’m thinking a ritual sacrifice to appease some pagan god.” (1x11)
almost every episode in the first season is a monster they’ve faced before that they then explain to the audience in a way that should feel patronising; like it’s the same speech given over and over again but instead, the audience almost feels included in the knowledge. it’s stated with such an innate confidence and comfort in said knowledge that it feels like we already knew it too; “spirits and demons don't have to unlock doors. if they want inside, they just go through the walls.” […] “the claws, the speed that it moves; could be a skinwalker, maybe a black dog.” (1x02), “it's biblical numerology. you know noah's ark, it rained for forty days. the number means death.” (1x04), “no no no, not the reaper, a reaper. there's reaper lore in pretty much every culture on earth, it goes by 100 different names.” […] “you said it yourself that the clock stopped, right? reapers stop time. and you can only see 'em when they're coming at you which is why i could see it and you couldn't.” (1x12)
they already know and, at least in the first season, already have what they need to kill whatever they’re hunting; already know to salt and burn bones for spirits, fire for a w*ndigo, exorcisms for demons, a silver bullet to the heart for shapeshifters. there’s only three times in the entire first season that they run into something new to them; 1x14 when sam gets his first vision that leads him to another psychic, 1x16 when dean calls caleb for help on the sigil he put together and he tells him about daevas, and 1x20 when they find out vampires are real- and they only don’t know that bc john thought they were hunted to extinction and not worth mentioning
(there’s also technically two half instances if you count one of them knowing something the other doesn’t - sam figuring out the tulpa in 1x17 and dean already knowing about the shtriga in 1x18 - but those still rely on sam and dean having prior knowledge)
even when they’re uncertain about facing something, it’s not bc they don’t know what it is; it’s precisely bc they know what it is and acknowledge that it’ll be a difficult hunt (“i don't know, man. this isn't our normal gig. i mean, demons, they don't want anything, just death and destruction for its own sake. this is big. and i wish dad was here.” 1x04)
so much of the tension in paranormal shows typically comes from the main character(s) not knowing what is happening to them/the people around them and having to find out how to resolve it. supernatural is unique in that it operates more like a police procedural. the tension comes from solving the clues and identifying patterns to figure out who (what) the killer is and intercepting before they can take another victim
it’s such a different tone to go for when compared to other shows that came both before, during, and after its run. it sets sam and dean on even footing with each other since they both have the same knowledge going in, and it puts them in a place of authority usually reserved for an outside character
the shows i compare spn to most is charmed, buffy and teen wolf; every main character in those shows are brought into the paranormal world knowing nothing, putting them on the same level as the audience, and they have their mc interact with others already knowledgeable about that world in order to overcome their problem/monster of the week. the audience organically learns about this new world as the characters learn about it. it’s a sound writing strategy that prevents “as we already know”-style exposition but something that complicates it is if your world building isn’t unique or intriguing enough, this slow introduction can become boring
we’ve seen shows like these before; sitting through the same tropes of characters learning to use their powers, struggling with no longer feeling normal/relating to the regular world around them, and not knowing how much they can trust the people already involved in this new world gets repetitive. all three shows eventually reach the same level of comfort with their new world that spn starts with but if the characters aren’t enough to draw you in, you can end up dropping it before they reach that point (and often, before the overarching plot can really kick in and evolve the show beyond the villain of the week format)
it’s the superhero origin movie in tv format; dragged out and overplayed. dropping the audience into an established world of course comes with its own problems but you also have the benefit of pre-existing established character dynamics that let the audience slot in like they’ve always been there instead of just getting to know all the characters while the characters also get to know each other
sam and dean already knowing about the supernatural lets the audience immediately get to the core of the story; the conflict between sam and dean, the search for their father, and the mystery of what killed their mother
#i could go on forever theres literally so many examples#dean figuring the ‘two dark doubles’ is a shapeshifter sam figuring out the changing ghost is a tulpa#also peak how many of these examples come from dean despite them pushing so hard for sam to be the one knowing hunting theory#this format is why i cant stand watching the first season of charmed despite loving it so much#i just cant be bothered watching them have the same struggle ive seen a hundred times play out again#different genre but sons of anarchy does this well too; all the characters are already in the club life and already have inner conflict#spn having such a natural introduction makes me so glad they didnt go with the original plan of sam not knowing about hunting#that wouldve been Painful#watching spn so young has really shaped my view of media bc i legit cant stand things with a learning curve#give me an established world damnit#lord of the rings never stops to explain what a dwarf is! you just go with it! and it rules!#dean is just as theoretical and lore savvy as sam and id go as far to say he actually knows more#instead of trying to do this bullshit brains v brawn divide they shouldve done new tech vs analogue#sams laptop is famous and he also knows how to hack thing where the second dean doesnt know something he defaults to books#have dean be the one where if its written down he can find it almost like a proto bobby#they even kind of support that by him being the one to find the phoenix in s6 when they go through all their books#but this was 2005 and characters could only be so conplex and theyd already decided dean needed to be the hot one and sams the nerd one#side note how many of these metas am i going to write on this rewatch? tbd#side side note included all the quotes and episode numbers makes me feel so academic#coming out of my cage and ive been doing just fine.txt#carry on my wayward son#talk meta to me#meta#supernatural meta#spn#supernatural#dean winchester#sam winchester#save post

Big fan of the ideas that: ~
Only Luffy and Sanji are allowed to handle Zoro's swords when he's unable to
Chopper activates every maternal instinct Zoro never knew he had and the crew is endlessly charmed by it
Kid and Killer have small crushes on Zoro and Luffy is not impressed Look I dont make the rules okay
Chopper, Law, and Marco are all good friends
Zoro has depression and chronic pain
Ace had the whitebeard crew wrapped around his finger
Robin and Law regularly discuss morbid things and it freaks everyone out
Devilfruit users heal just a little quicker than non users
Zoro and Perona have decided Mihawk is their father figure much to his displeasure, they send him fathers day cards
Luffy hugs the crew a lot and presses their forehead together when he's really happy
Makino is actually terrifying and all the ideas and theories that Shanks is gonna be bad are false because if he ever did anything shady she would destroy him. Desperately shoves fingers in ears and says lalalala really loud whenever someone theorizes about Shanks being the big baddie
Smoker actually respects a lot of the worst generation and he wants to toss himself into the sea when he realizes it
Everybody knows what happened at thriller bark

it’s funny that in the investigation games every little thing seems to remind edgeworth of phoenix except the literal phoenix statues at the bigg building.
it makes sense cause like. in the original japanese that’s Not His Name but in the context of the localisation it feels so comical

Caleb’s sigil/crest- Tomorrow’s Catch outfit
What tf is that crest?!
- Another myth speculation
Tumblr media
Yes, I’m talking about THAT sigil/crest. Aside from the obvious, which is that there are wings on the outside of the centre of the sigil:
I have spent too much time trying to figure out what tf those thingy’s are.
WELL LEMME TELL YA
Tumblr media Tumblr media
FIRE TONGS! Not fire POKERS, BUT TONGS. WELL?! THEY LOOK LIKE BIRB CLAWS TOO omfg
A broken clock is right twice a day, right?
Please, anyone. Tell me that I’m seriously delulu, but this further confirms my suspicions on Caleb being some kind of fiery birb *breaks*
BECAUSE:
While fire pokers aren’t specifically a mythological tool associated with creatures like the Vermilion Bird or Phoenix in Chinese culture, fire tools in general do hold symbolic significance in fire-related rituals and spiritual practices. The Phoenix and Vermilion Bird, both deeply connected to the element of fire, metaphorically align with the ideas of transformation, rebirth, and renewal—concepts that can be associated with the act of tending fire using tools like fire pokers and/or tongs.
THAT CROWN THO
The crown throws me off bigtime, but I have concluded with the following:
There isn’t a direct or widely known historical connection between a three-pointed crown and the phoenix (Fènghuáng, 凤凰) or the Vermilion Bird (Zhūquè, 朱雀) in Chinese mythology, but there are some interesting symbolic parallels:
1. Three as a Sacred Number
In many cultures, the number three represents balance, harmony, and the connection between heaven, earth, and humanity. The Fenghuang and Vermilion Bird are both celestial creatures often associated with cosmic balance, so a three-pointed crown might symbolically align with them in that way.
2. Crest and Feathers
The Fenghuang and Vermilion Bird are often depicted with elaborate, flame-like crests on their heads. A three-spiked crown could metaphorically resemble this, especially if stylized to look like feathers or flames.
3. Imperial and Divine Associations
The Fenghuang is an imperial symbol, often linked to empresses and nobility in Chinese culture. Crowns, particularly ones with three points (which could symbolize heaven, earth, and the ruler), could conceptually fit within that framework.
Okey, so am I cooketh or cooking who knows but I will cry if he turns out being some kind of salty pirate. Jkjk I’m happy with more Caleb content BUT seriously…
If anybody out there have another opinion on what tf those thingies are, please let me know.

I just had an idea on how the AA games could introduce a Narumitsu are married thing.
Since we already had Turnabout Time Traveller, Phoenix would get involved into an investigation involving a marriage, and as you interview people you realize it’s all people Phoenix knows, and then someone asks “who’s getting married, anyway?” And Edgeworth answers, extremely pissed that he had to do work on the day of his own wedding.
And the dialogue has clever jabs at his love life and everything and random jokes and hints, to the dismay of whoever is with Nick.
Ideally Phoenix would have a random new companion that happened to show up, or someone like Ahibi (heck even Kay Faraday, if for some reason she hadn’t been into contact with Edgeworth much recently)
And only after the case is solved, you get a picture where there’s Edgeworth in a white suit and someone standing next to him in partial shadows.
It’d be so funny and absurd, because I’m sure Phoenix wouldn’t comment at all about working on such a day, or do so in a way that confuses his companion.
Bonus if it’s the same reception venue with the two pegabulls

Phoenix gets sick and has to be alone with their thoughts. So- where did they get red string? Why is there a whiteboard? What is going on? What is fnaf? What does the constitution have to do with robots?
Tumblr media
no no no Reggie you don’t GET IT, it’s GHOSTS, okay? two weeks ago Right Robot totally stole my lunch in order to feed that stray cat he’s in love with but absolutely refuses to fess up, so obviously i was thinking i’d frame him for a crime, take him to court, and force him to admit it under threat of perjury, but then again, he’s a robot so is he even beholden to human laws? does the constitution even apply here? he seems to be sentient, right, because of the kinesium, and that’s when i REALIZED. it’s like five nights at freddy’s, Reggie, the kinesium is GHOSTS. i mean, like, attracts them! sticks them to things! but without the murder! no, because— no, stop laughing, think about it! telekinesis is all the dead agents moving stuff around for me! and now at least one is possessing RiRo, i don’t know if it’s a Golden Freddy situation, or— a-and anyway, if i were a supreme judge i’d definitely rule that ghosts inhabiting mortal shells have the constitutional right to a fair trial, therefore— what? go to bed? why?

where was ein between the events of pdh (s2) and emerald secret?
i've seen... a few interpretations. you may ask, "how the hell did he remember what happened" and the truth is that mys!ein is just a hater. well. either it affected him so badly that it was burned into his memory (likely) or, if we take the more fanon ein route, micheal kept reminding him about it as a way to keep ein motivated to catch the ultima. as for aaron? it was for plot! (we don't talk about pdh aaron.)
anyways. the first is that ein got sent to juvie/jail- which is canonical! i think what happened to kacey would count as aggravated assault because he didn't die. the sentence for a minor would, at maximum, be 14 months. however, when charged as an adult, it'd be a maximum of 12 years. let's assume that ein got charged as a minor (he was 15) and the maximum sentence. 14 months is barely over a year! even if he still stayed the full sentence, that would barely make a dent in the 10 years.
ein did not stay the full 14 months. we know this because of a murder mystery minigame. (i'll link it in the comments) yes, the minigames aren't considered canon, but since it doesn't contradict anything in the series, i think we can let it slide. ein says that he "was released due to good behavior." this could very well be true! but for his character, i think he we can assume that he escaped. or... was bailed out by a certain someone. the first two bring up the question of "well where else did he go?" the most likely option for this is that ein was stalking the main cast, getting by with what he could. have we seen how disheveled the guy looks during emerald secret? though that could be due to. living in the middle of nowhere. as for the last? that'll be talked about later on.
the other likely option is that ein was sent to the mental hospital. it's been a while since i've watched pdh s2 (if it has no haters i'm dead) but from what i remember, he was pretty unstable when he got arrested. stays can range from a couple of days to a few years. again, it's highly unlikely he stayed the entire time, so maybe he escaped yet again. and probably still stalked the group.
the more fanon approach would be that he was experimented on at the lab. there's not a lot pointing to this in canon, but we do know that he was mentored by the snake eyed man for some amount of time. his mannerisms rubbed off on ein- this isn't as clear in emerald secret, but it's very apparent in when angels fall. the most notable example I can think of is in episode 15 (will you be here for me?) when ein slaps aphmau. his voice dramatically changes, becoming much rougher and deeper... similar to his mentor's.
the opposite of this happens in episode 13 (i will always love you)! ein's vocabulary and general way of speaking becomes more formal. he's always used bigger words, but here it seems... weird? i mean have you ever heard someone say "on the contrary!" unironically in this day and age. (i have to admit it's. one of my favorite ein lines.) or tell some guy "temper now..." so he's trying to speak like his mentor. awesome. great. hey have we ever noticed how his voice changes when he's around/referring to micheal? yikes.
let's talk about forever potions! victims of the potion have an almost dreamlike way of speaking. it also becomes more monotone... much like someone else i know of! zane is much calmer, lucinda seems. high. and aphmau is just weird. maybe ein was put under a potion as well! sorry for not shutting up about how he talks but I find it interesting. okay... ein in emerald secret is calmer compared to his. um. counterparts. at least when he's got aphmau under his control. other than that he's busy crashing out. so maybe the potion he was under activated during his confrontation with aaron? and somehow that let the snake-eyed man see what he was doing? how did he know ein was bleeding out in the snow?
i hope you get what i'm trying to say. please correct me if i'm wrong about anything and feel free to share your own theories! i'm not good at getting my point across i fear
