After killing J'ghasta and finding his Black Hand robes, Aerrun realises she's been duped. She has no way to contact Lucien save leaving a note in a prior dead drop, so she decides to try and investigate her false contracts and make contact with the targets to try and figure out exactly what's going on and who's behind it. And maybe even catch up to whoever's replacing the drops in the first place.
Except she's always a step behind, and the other Silencers and Speakers are all convinced that she's there to eliminate them and so they attack, unwilling to listen for fear of being killed, so she's forced to put them down in self-defense. By the time she reaches Ungolim, she's really tired of these other Black Hand members just attacking her outright, so she tries to sneak up and subdue him... but she is a big nord and he is a little bosmer and she's not used to Not killing someone, so he accidentally ends up dead anyway. Cue Lucien showing up in a rage because he's pretty sure she did it on purpose because hey, it looked very intentional, only for her to be like 'babe I swear, I was just trying to talk to him, it's not my fault he's got glass bones.'

Years after the demise of he who must not be named, and the termination of the out-breaking war in Hogwarts had been resolved. the institution was reopened for the future and safety of wizards and witches across the world.
Although Voldemort is now no longer and everything has been commonly safe, the past decade had passed issues have not ceased to exist between families or districts of people and the wizardry world was eerily peaceful.
Though much after the Battle and the Second Wizarding War things haven't fully stopped, another legacy was to be fulfilled and tensions were rising. From discrimination in the ministry, hidden secrets and high stakes in the world of Witches and Warlocks times were at a new low and worst than ever.
Young Selene had received the enrollment letter in the living room of her ancient, musky cottage home off the coast, one humid night in autumn, that one envelope had altered her whole life completely.
Her life was going monotonously well, nothing exciting. That's until she meets the unconditional polar opposite, her 'supposedly' arch nemesis and the snake adorned in emerald robes. What will her life turn into now?

slut!
satoru gojo x f!reader
**part of my satoru as taylor swift songs series
--
“just so you know, the dining hall closes at seven.”
you look up to find a short girl – dirty blonde hair braided at her sides with an awkward smile on her face – as you shoot her an apologetic smile.
“right, cornelia. sorry, i’m almost done, i’ll just be out.”
cornelia works morning shifts in the dining hall.
you tend to frequent the place at odd hours – particularly getting cravings when it’s closed – and she’s always sweet enough to oblige you with whatever they have left over.
you have a sneaking hunch it’s because she saw utahime be over-exceedingly harsh with you on the first day of training. you’re thankful for it nonetheless.
“just…finish up by seven. i’ll be out of here by then to go home.” she responds, words laced in her thick dutch accent.
you shoot her a grateful smile, looking down at the mess of rice and chicken that you’ve demolished into oblivion with your fork, and wonder if it’s still edible. you mindlessly reach for your phone, scrolling through the litter of texts on the screen.
in amsterdam gymnasts 2024
[shoko]: there’s a party on the first floor if you guys are down
[nobara]: do yk think that girl we saw on the train will be there?
[yuuji]: BRO literally has green hair. she’d be hard to miss
[nobara]: stfu
[utahime]: We’re training early tomorrow. Don’t be irresponsible.
knowing yuuji and nobara, they had probably already schemed their way to the party. out of everyone on the mixed teams, you could tell that they were enjoying themselves the most – sitting with the spanish water polo players in the dining hall, scrolling on hinge to find people in the olympic village, and attending every party they could.
you were happy for them. at least they were enjoying themselves. the mindless mantra that was ringing through your head was stopping all your attempts to enjoy the three weeks you were spending here.
if you put your head down and give an honest effort, things will work out for you.
that’s how it’s always been and always how it was going to be – sitting at the back of the class, answering the questions in your head. being sought for your work and your work alone – you had to be outstanding just to be noticed, because you weren’t going to mention it otherwise.
working hard in silence until it was pointed out, hustling and grinding until you couldn’t anymore, just so that someone would, on an odd chance, remember you and push you forward.
and it worked. it worked most of the time and got you far enough. but at the end of the day, it was always the same result.
you got drowned out. you get drowned out like you always do but it doesn’t sting any less.
by a loud, boisterous voice – an emboldened sense of confidence that you don’t have, one that utahime does – and three words that sent all of your efforts down the drain.
if only you were brave enough to talk. emboldened enough to boast – to show off, to embellish, to call attention to yourself – but, you weren’t. it just wasn’t something you could bring yourself to do.
it was just another day.
“are you okay?”
you look up from the plate – you’re positive the fork must have left scratches in the porcelain – to find the source of the voice, light glowing around his frame and head blocking the glow of the dingy light bulbs in the ghost town that is the dining hall.
you know those eyes. satoru gojo.
you immediately reach up, wiping away the leftover wetness on your face, and feeling the burning of your cheeks underneath your fingertips as you gesture for him to take the seat across from you.
satoru gives you a lopsided smile – blue eyes filled with kindness or pity that’s just masked very well – as he slides his legs over the bench. you can smell the faintest hint of chlorine, his hair still matted and damp from the pool.
“yeah. yeah, i’m good. how’d she…how’d she let you in?” you respond, noting the shake in your voice, as you try to change the subject.
satoru gojo is a seven time olympic medalist – the pride and joy of team usa at the amsterdam olympics. six foot five, easy on the eyes, and an absolute menace in the swimming pool. coupled with an irritatingly charming personality and the grit of a professional – he’s one of the few athletes that’s taken seriously on the team.
he was the flag bearer at the opening ceremony. you’ve seen him at meets here and there, exchanged pleasantries, over the past few years.
not that he would remember that.
“she likes me.” he responds.
you snort.
“of course she does. who doesn’t?” you mutter.
you look up, feeling the leftover heat and tension from the crying still simmering behind your cheeks, as he shoots you a glimmering smile.
the mere thought of it – smiling so freely, that he looks so joyful or that really, this entire experience must culminate into everything that he has wanted and worked towards – sends an aching pang through your chest.
“you know who i am?” he asks.
“satoru gojo. small town college student turned gold olympic medalist. everyone’s heard the story. they don’t pick just anyone to be the flag bearer, you know?” you repeat, attempting to mimic the monotone voices of the news reports you’ve heard hundreds of times.
he clicks his tongue in his cheek, giving you a sly smile as he leans forward on his forearms, his face only inches from yours. it’s at this moment that you realize that he’s tall, obscenely tall even, because he’s able to reach over the length of the table while still sitting down – hovering in your space entirely.
“and we’ve…we’ve met before.”
“i know.”
you pause.
“you do?”
“are you shocked that i can remember conversations i have with people?”
“um. no, i guess not. you’re just a really big deal and all, figured you talk to everyone.” you respond.
“bold coming from you, y/n l/n. rookie gymnast with only three years of training under her belt overperforms in the olympic trials and makes it to the final team roster.” he responds, mimicking the same tone of your voice.
hearing the words, the premise, sends the tears running straight back to your eyes, as you try your best to swallow them down by staring down at the mottled mix of food. you give him a noncommittal hum in response, which you’re positive that he clocks immediately as he leans forward, his calloused hand on yours as he squeezes.
“hey really. are you okay?” he whispers.
you look up, warm and hot tears spilling out of your eyes at this point, as he squeezes your hand again, tilting his head to the side as he waits for an explanation. you sigh, biting at the side of your already demolished lip, as you look back up at him.
your voice wobbles when you finally muster a response.
“you caught me at a really bad time. i don’t actually do this whole thing.” you respond.
satoru smiles.
“what thing?”
“crying in front of strangers. and…and telling random people my business.”
satoru gives you an airy laugh, before squeezing your hand again.
“i’ll take your word for it. it’ll be a one time thing.” he murmurs.
you study his eyes – examining and analyzing for any sense of patronization in his eyes and tone – but you don’t find any.
if anything, he just looks curious.
“do you ever feel like all of your hard work has amounted to nothing?” you whisper.
satoru gives you a confused look, eyes expectant as he waits for a proper explanation. and you’re not sure what it is – why you give it to him knowing his reputation, that sweet talking and charming was just part of his human nature – but in the late hours of the night, when he walks you back to your room, you reason that it was just the circumstances.
that he was in the wrong place at the right time.
“you…you’ve struggled your entire life with your body. sometimes you almost feel like you’re at war with it and…and it’s frustrating feeling like you don’t have control. that you can pass out on a whim, that you’ll be on top of the world one day and at the bottom the next, and that there’s nothing you can do to remedy it.”
you sigh.
“you decide that you want to put in the work. that you’re going to push the limits, even if it seems impossible, because you’re not going to let this thing – this nervousness, the anxiousness tie you down. i spent a whole year training, figuring out how to do this thing. the second year, i qualified for the olympic trials and i choked. i took the loss so seriously, trained so hard that i actually made it here, and now that i am, i can’t even try for real because i’m being undermined by someone else.” you state.
“undermined by someone else?” he asks.
“utahime iori. she’s a four time medalist, the senior on the team. she’s been to the olympics twice. she told masamichi, our coach, that…that i got nervous on the floor routine that i’ve been preparing for the final and that they should just pull it to prevent a point loss. she thinks that she should just compete on the floor as well.” you state.
satoru gives you a frown.
“did you? choke i mean?”
“it was a bad day. i was all in my head and i couldn’t…i couldn’t bring myself to do some of the twists. i could do it the next three days and…and i’ll be ready to do it by the time we compete.” you state.
satoru smiles.
“of course you will. so what’s got you down?” he asks.
“that masamichi believed her. he’s trying to get me to change the floor routine to one that i did before. easier, it’s more safe, but it’s also less points.”
satoru hums in response.
“it’s just frustrating that i put in so much work to get here, that everyone knows i did and that i had put in so much hard work, and all it took was one person who’s louder than me to drown me out. that all the effort they’ve seen was easily discredited because someone else said so. that…that my work wasn’t able to stand out on it’s own and it almost never is. i’ve never been one to speak up and that’s always my downfall.”
you drop the fork against the plate, deciding that you’ve assaulted the chicken enough.
“so, no. i’m not okay. i cried so hard that the people let me stay here in the dining hall after it closed just because she felt bad for me. she even brought this cookie over while i was sobbing and then walked away.” you respond, holding it up in between the two of you.
you’re not a natural. and no matter how hard you try, you won’t ever make it to the top. it was in your fingertips and now it’s miles away, like you’re at the starting line but your feet are glued to the start.
because the time is running out, because you won’t get this opportunity again, and this is all that you’ll amount to.
“i’m just sad. i’ll get over it, deep down i know i will, because…because i know things happen for a reason, but it just…feels hard to find one right now.”
satoru takes the cookie from your hands, nimble fingers quickly undoing the packaging and splitting the cookie in half. he takes the bigger half, placing it in your hand, as he gestures for you to eat it.
you give him an irritated glare, taking a bite out as you swallow it down your dry throat.
“i mean, you get to be here before everyone else eats the cookies. and you don’t even have to get up to grab them, they actually deliver them to your seat all special.” satoru states.
you sigh.
“i can’t wait to tell the news when they ask me how i’m coping with not winning a medal that the cookies are great and life is good regardless.” you respond, voice coated in bitterness.
satoru slides the other way on the bench, now leaning his elbows and his torso against the table, his head leaned all the way back and eyes pinched shut. you immediately wince, noting the harshness of your words when he was just trying to be nice, as you sigh.
“sorry. i know you’re trying to be nice. and it’s a great cookie! i’m just frustrated. i just hate thinking that –”
“i do feel like all my hard work has amounted to nothing.” satoru responds.
you pause.
“what?” you ask.
“you asked me, at the start, if i ever felt like all of my work amounted to nothing. the answer is yes. i do feel like all of my hard work has amounted to nothing.” he answers, the tone in his voice steady.
you look down at the cookie, lifting to take another bite, as you ponder over the thought.
but he had everything. other teams – they were scared to see him coming. hopefully pining over the silver because they already knew that the gold was his, that there was no point in even hoping when they were competing against the best of the best.
“really?”
“mhm.”
“you’re telling me the satoru gojo doesn’t feel like he’s amounted to anything? you have seven gold medals. they’re literally scared to see you coming.”
satoru laughs.
“you really think they’re scared?” he jokes.
you roll your eyes.
“i sat with the canadian swimmer the other day at breakfast. they were over there debating who was going to get the silver, because they saw no point in even vying for the gold when they were competing against you.” you respond.
satoru’s face is painted in a satisfied grin.
“amounted to nothing? you’re literally at the top of your game.”
“i guess. if that’s what mattered. if i still liked swimming.”
you pause.
“you…you don’t like swimming?”
he smiles.
“not anymore. losing passion for the one thing that you’re good at can….cause it’s own type of meltdown. especially when there’s fifty people asking you how you're going to top yourself next time.”
satoru twists around on the bench, giving you a smile, as he leans forward.
“count yourself lucky, y/n. you’ve got a reason to move forward and prove yourself. the drive. something to push you forward.”
he pauses, taking a beat, before responding.
“things are entirely bleak when you have nothing to work towards.” he responds.
satoru gives you a smile, before pushing off the bench – fingers messing through his damp hair – before shooting you a smile over his shoulder.
“cornelia will get mad. it’s ten minutes to seven.” he murmurs.
you give him a noncommittal nod, pondering over his words, as you watch him walk away – the letters of his last name brightly stitched to the back of his jacket.
“hey. gojo?” you ask.
he turns around, eyes expectant as he waits for an answer.
“just because you don’t have something to work towards now doesn’t mean you won’t have something later.”
there’s an awkward pause – mainly because he doesn’t respond – and you give him a shrug back.
“satoru.” he states.
“what?”
“you can call me satoru.”
--
“she was at the party.” nobara states.
you look up from the bowl, noting the darkness around nobara and yuuji’s eyes, as you roll your eyes. you relish the fifteen minutes of peace you’ll get before utahime comes down to berate the two of them and most likely loop the rest of you in with it in the process.
“did you even talk to her, cupid?” you joke.
nobara kicks you under the table, as the group of you snicker under your breaths.
“we made very prolonged eye contact. you wouldn’t get it.” nobara responds.
“they were eye fucking each other. i felt like i was interrupting something.” yuuji adds.
it’s right at that moment that nobara and yuuji stop talking, eyes wide, as you give them a confused look. yuuji lightly waves his eyes to the left and you follow – only to see someone standing at the side of the table.
he’s decently tall, spiky black hair and solemn blue eyes. you note the embroidery on his jacket – megumi fushiguro, team usa, javelin throwing – and give him a smile.
you look back at nobara and yuuji, the two of them looking awkwardly back down at their plates.and decide to take one for the team and extend your hand out to him.
“hello. i’m y/n l/n.”
he places his hand in yours – you can’t help but notice how sweaty it is and silently wonder how he throws javelins with that slip – as you give him a polite smile.
“megumi fushiguro. i’m from new york. i uh…throw javelins.”
“cool. we’re with team japan. we all do gymnastics. these are my friends nobara and yuuji. nobara does all of the gymnastic rhythmic events and yuuji does specials with rings and the pommel horse.” you add.
megumi gives you a smile, before awkwardly running his hand across his neck before looking at yuuji. you note that whatever yuuji was talking about between nobara and the girl with the green hair is exactly what’s happening now – the eye contact the two of them were sharing so intense that you felt like you were interrupting something.
“right. um, it’s nice to meet you. well, we met last night but i’m not sure if you remembered since you…had a lot to drink.”
it’s swelteringly awkward – so awkward because yuuji’s so starstruck? or surprised that he doesn’t give him a response and instead just stares at him straight on. you kick him under the table, jostling him under the table, to talk.
“i love you.” yuuji responds.
you watch as megumi’s eyes widen, you and nobara shooting each other a look before attempting damage control.
“he doesn’t mean that! why would he love you? you don’t even know each other!” nobara responds.
“i mean, not to say that he won’t ever love you. maybe in the future! you’re probably a great guy!” you respond.
“he’s like repressed or something, i swear he’s normal when you get to know him.” nobara adds.
“but not in a weird way! we all get a little nervous here and there, right?”
“you know meets make people really nervous. he actually doesn’t even know english so..so that’s why he didn’t respond.”
you kick nobara under the table.
“he knows english. obviously! how else would you guys talk to each other?” you respond, trying to give a hint to nobara.
you and nobara pause, cheeks warm from the second hand embarrassment, as megumi nods at the three of you – unable to parse if you’re all part of some circus show or having an aneurysm – and smiles awkwardly.
“right. i’ll see you around, yuuji. it was uh…nice to meet you, y/n.”
“you too.”
the second he walks away, the three of you start shouting at each other.
“who the fuck was that?” you ask.
“i’m repressed? why would you say that, nobara?” yuuji responds, head in his hands as he pulls at the pink strands.
“because you fucking are. why were you staring at him like a deer in headlights? you had no problem putting your whole fucking tongue down his throat last night.” nobara responds.
you gasp.
“you kissed that guy last night?” you whisper.
“yes! it was so fucking good, i literally didn’t even sleep last night out of pure excitement.” yuuji responds back, a hint of a giggle on his lips.
the three of you silence at the sound of utahime’s tray smacking next to yours on the table, the three of you adjusting your posture – nobara and yuuji rubbing at their tired eyes – as you drop the conversation completely.
“well, don’t stop on my accord.” she states.
“good morning, utahime.” nobara responds, shooting you a pinched look.
she sighs, hands aggressive with the knife on her plate as she slams it down against the porcelain.
“just so you know, this is our one day to slack off since we’re touring the city. nobara, your beam is still sloppy. and y/n, i told you to start working on the other floor routine. i’ll let your shenanigans slide for today, but you both really need to stop fraternizing with other athletes and focus on what we’re really doing here.”
“we’re not fraternizing with other athletes.” nobara states.
utahime rolls her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest, as she gives the two of you an accusatory look.
“so the girl with the green hair three tables down is just staring bullets into the back of your head for no reason, kugisaki?”
nobara’s cheeks go pink as she turns around – the girl immediately ducking her head down, embarrassed by being caught – as nobara turns back around and shakes her head. you can tell that utahime’s satisfied from her hunch being correct, as she turns her accusatory eyes towards  you.
“and don’t even get me started on you.”
“i’m not fraternizing with other athletes.”
“right. satoru gojo’s sudden love for gymnastics just came out of nowhere, y/n.” she deadpans.
you feel your throat dry.
“what?”
“you haven’t seen the tweets?”
you shake your head, reaching for your phone in your pocket, as you slide open to the app. you note that there’s an obscene amount of notifications in your inbox but two that stand out particularly.
@satorugojo followed you!
@satorugojo retweeted your post.
you click on the notification to find the video of you at the finals – doing your original floor routine.
@satorugojo: every shred of patriotism coming back to my body as i watch the olympic gymnastics team….
you laugh at the tweet, cheeks warm from the acknowledgement – especially from someone with as many followers as him – as you immediately put your phone down and look back at utamime.
“i’d watch out for him if i were you.” utahime states.
“sorry, what?”
“he knows how to get around. focus on your floor routine and less on slutting yourself out. we all know what we’re here for and let’s remember that.”
her comment leaves a sour taste in your mouth.
--
“y/n, can you come here?” nobara asks.
you and yuuji shoot a lazy look over your shoulders to see her standing at the door, rolling your eyes.
“it’s your turn to pay for room service, bitch. don’t look at me.” you respond.
nobara turns around properly, eyes shooting bullets into your forehead, as she gives you an awkwardly peachy smile.
“y/n. i really think you’ll want to take this one.” she responds, her tone urgent.
you reach for the closest object to you, one of yuuji’s shoes on the ground, and lazily throw it in her direction.
“my bank account is doing just fine, actually. i think i’m good.” you respond.
nobara turns around, raising her finger in the air gesturing for a pause, before picking up the show and throwing it right back at you with full force. she’s quick to walk over, yanking your arms up from the bed, as you rub the sore spot on your forehead.
“get the fuck up. satoru fucking gojo is at the door asking for you.” she whispers.
you shoot her an apologetic smile, yanking your jacket off from the hook on the door and pulling it on, as you walk over to the doorway to find satoru standing there, hands politely in his pockets as he gives you a smile.
“good evening, rookie. how are you?” he asks.
you pause.
“i’m um…good, gojo. how are you?” you ask.
“satoru.” he insists.
you shake your head.
“right. satoru. uh, to what do i owe the pleasure? at nine forty-five in the evening? at my dorm….?”
he smiles.
“i have an in with the people at the gym the same way i do with cornelia at the dining hall. do you want to come and keep me company?” he asks.
you pause – hearing utahime’s words about slutting yourself out rattle in your head – as you give him an awkward smile.
“right, i would love to go but –”
it’s right at that moment that you feel two pairs of warm hands on your arms as nobara and yuuji rush to your side.
“she’s right, she would love to go! which is why she’s going!” yuuji responds.
satoru flickers his eyes in between the two of them, before looking back at you. you shoot him an apologetic smile, but not before the two of them keep talking.
“she loves to go out with guys.” nobara adds.
you elbow her in the side.
“i mean, not other guys! just you. she hasn’t talked to anyone in four years.” yuuji adds, tapping you lovingly on the head.
“but she’s not like decrepit or anything. she’s in her prime, trust us. she’s got a great ass.” nobara affirms.
satoru flickers his eyes in between the two of them, before looking back at you. you shoot him an apologetic smile, but not before the two of them keep talking.
“she loves swimming. knows everything about it.” nobara responds.
“i mean, not everything. she doesn’t even know how to swim!”
satoru’s eyes widen.
“you don’t know how to swim?” he asks, eyes wide in shock – and what you pander is amusement.
you sigh.
“i’m scared of the water.”
“well, now you have to come with me. swimming is a necessary survival skill, rookie. i can’t have you dying on me now.”
satoru shoots you a boyish grin – one that you can tell excites nobara and yuuji, who you’re assuming are probably starstruck at this point – as they squeeze down on your arms and push you out of the door. the two of them give you bright smiles as they push you out of the door, leaving you and satoru alone in the hallway.
you shoot him an awkward smile, as he reaches forward, twisting one of your pigtail braids in his hands.
“they seem fun.” he jokes.
you groan.
“that’s an interesting word for it.” you respond.
“who threw the shoe?” he asks.
you pause. he leans forward, thumbs soft on your forehead as he rubs at the spot.
“oh. nobara. but i threw it first so, it’s only fair.” you respond.
“naturally.” he jokes.
--
there’s a frigid chill in the gym as satoru opens the door for you, gesturing for you to enter the pool deck first, as he follows behind. the girl at the top of the stands shoots him a polite smile before leaving – which leaves a sour taste in your mouth.
who is she? is that who he has an in with at the gym? is that how he gets in with all of these girls – like cordelia and her – and most of all, now you?
though you’re not really sure what you’d have to offer that he’d really want.
“hey. you okay?” he asks.
“hm?”
“i was talking. you didn’t respond.” he states.
you widen your eyes.
“oh god, i’m sorry. was just in my head, thinking about the uneven practice i did this morning.”
satoru walks all the way to the front of the aquamarine pool, plopping down as he pulls his shirt over his head, and dips his legs into the pool. you follow suit, discarding your shoes at your side, the two of you sitting shoulder to shoulder with your knees brushing as you swing your legs in the cold water.
“what happened?”
“nothing. i kind of face planted during the warm-up.” you state.
“did you get hurt?”
“just a little bit of carpet burn from the floor.”
you lift the sleeve of your jacket up to show him the red marks on your forearm to which he leans forward, fingers featherlike as he brushes against the raised skin. he looks up at you, blue eyes peering into yours, that make you endlessly nervous before the thought comes to you.
how many times has he used that move on someone else?
you immediately jerk your hand back, pulling your sleeve up as you shoot him a polite smile. he gives you a strange look, eyes focused back down on the water as he reaches forward and feels the temperature with his hand.
“ready to go in?” he asks.
you give him a nervous nod, as he jumps down into the pool, and you pull your shirt over your head. satoru’s waiting, eyes expectant as you look down at the water, at the ten feet depth, before looking back at him with nervousness jittering in your stomach.
“don’t you think i should start with a smaller pool?” you ask.
he shakes his head.
“i’ve got you. i won’t let anything happen.”
“you can’t just…drag me out if something happens.”
satoru rolls his eyes.
“you don’t do your research, do you?” he asks.
“hm?”
“small town college student turned gold olympic medalist. did you ever wonder how that even happened?” he asks, repeating your words from yesterday.
“oh, no. how?” you ask.
satoru smiles.
“i got scouted at my job. as a lifeguard. trust me, i’m more than equipped to help you if something happens to you.”
you sigh, eyeing the depth of the water, before looking back down at him.
“okay, just. just…don’t let me go, okay? i’m not joking when i say i don’t know how to swim.”
he gives you an encouraging smile, as you dip down into the pool, immediately feeling the weight of the water as the panic surges through you. you immediately reach forward, looping your arms around his neck and leaning forward against him, your grip death like.
you can feel his hands on your waist, his grasp firm, as he leans back, his tone quiet as he talks.
“relax.”
“no, no. i should probably get out. this is really deep, satoru.”
“y/n.”
“it’s dragging me down.” you state.
“nothing’s dragging you down. i’m right here with you, rookie.” he whispers.
“satoru.”
“y/n.”
“i can’t die before i go to the olympics!” you shout.
satoru takes a beat, before giving you a full laugh.
“you’re not going to die before you go to the olympics. you’re already here.”
you groan, pressing your forehead against his bare collarbone as you feel the tenseness wrack all over your body, before one of his wet hands comes across your cheek, pulling you back with you flesh against his chest.
“hey. this really won’t work unless you listen to me, okay?” he whispers.
“okay. okay, okay. just…just…i’m being serious. please don’t let me go until i’m ready. this entire thing will blow up in your pretty face if you do.”
satoru grins, pinching at the side of your cheek, as you glare at him.
“this entire thing?” he asks.
you want to bite your tongue.
“you know. swimming.”
“right. swimming.” he repeats.
he hums in response, but you can tell that he doesn’t believe it. satoru drops his hand from your face, hands on your waist as he looks back up at you.
“let go of me.” he responds.
“no.”
“y/n.”
“satoru, no.”
“as much as i like you holding on to me the way you are, you won’t be able to swim if you don’t let go.”
you sigh.
“you’re going to paddle your feet back and forth like i am. when you let go, do the same thing with your arms, it’ll give you more control.”
you look down at your feet, before satoru’s hand is at the bottom of your chin, guiding your gaze back up at him.
“it’s not rocket science. don’t overthink it. it helps to keep your mind on something else.” he responds.
you give him a nod as you start mimicking his motions, your legs heavy as lead, as you try to get yourself to do it.
“uh. what do you think about? when you swim?” you ask.
“porn.” he states.
“what?”
he lets out a boyish laugh and you feel your cheeks burn as you lift one of your hands to lightly smack at his shoulder.
“that wasn’t funny.” you state.
“it was a little funny.” he defends.
“you were about to live up to your reputation there.” you state.
satoru pauses, narrowed eyes, before he talks again.
“my reputation?” he asks.
you pause, regretting your last words, as you look up at him, shooting an apologetic smile as you try to backtrack.
“i didn’t mean…you know a lot of people talk and i don’t mean to offend you when i say…”
satoru smiles.
“so that’s why you’re being weird.”
“i’m not being weird.”
“can i say one thing before you continue?” he murmurs.
you sink into the embarrassment, giving him a quiet nod.
“if she says things about you that aren’t true, would you really expect her to be entirely truthful when she talks about everyone else too?” satoru asks.
you groan – noting satoru’s sweet smile as he clocks you understand what he’s saying – and knot your hands back together behind his neck.
“hey. i’m really sorry, satoru. i just thought that –”
he smiles, reaching forward to cup the side of your face again.
“no wonder you were glaring at that girl up there. i can promise you, the only reason that i get late night access to the gym is because my coach arranged it for me. i don’t even know her name.”
you groan.
“oh fuck, this is so embarrassing.”
he laughs.
“don’t worry, rookie. i’m flattered you’re so worried about it. but i’m not going anywhere.” he whispers.
“you’re not?”
he shakes his head.
“i told you i wouldn’t let go.” he states.
“i was talking about swimming.” you mumble.
“and i wasn’t.”
you smile at him – one that he fully returns back.
he finally closes the space between two of you when he drops you back off at your dorm – matching pair of chlorine soaked hair – his skin still damp from the water.
nobara and yuuji watch it through the peephole, their excited chatter behind the door pulling the two of you apart.
--
almost fourteen days later – of you and satoru biking through amsterdam, you teaching him how to balance on a beam, and warm kisses later – you’re filled with nervousness at the thought of the floor routine.
you can hear his voice in his head right there with yours. that you’ve got this. that you can’t overthink.
there’s a tense energy in the air the morning of the final. you and nobara head down to the gym early, a very sleepy yuuji in tow for moral support, as you start drilling through your stretches.
you note that yuuji’s not offering his moral support alone, the awkward encounter you had a week prior shockingly coming off as endearing to megumi, who sits at his side with a coffee in his hand.
you can’t help but shake the feeling that the other teams are staring as you and nobara run through your warmups, the jittery feeling in your stomach accumulating as you chalk up your hands.
you have to focus. it helps to think about something else. you’ve done this routine hundreds of times – just let the muscles take over.
“you’re going to do the original floor routine. we’ll bet on it for the teams, but we’ll scale back for the all around at the end of the week if it’s lower than the trials.” masamichi states.
you give him a non-committal nod, eyeing the bars as you walk up to the podium, jumping up as you feel for the swing of the equipment. you can see the australian gymnasts swinging through the air out of your peripheral vision, the chatter of the people talking around filling your ears as you try to focus.
“no, i don’t think she’s coming.”
“the seam of the uniform is kind of fraying at the end, i might try to change it.”
“i’m just hoping to qualify for next time, when i have more time to train.”
“i heard her and gojo do it in the pool. like all the time.”
you miss the handle on the last swing, falling face first into the floor, the group of them turning around at the loud sound. you note that there’s a small sense of relief on their face from the mishap, as you lift off the floor, dusting the chalk off of your hands.
you can feel your throat dry as you make your way over to the bench, where nobara is sitting, your mind swirling with anger. she gives you a squeeze on the shoulder in support and you note that yuuji tells you to shake it off from his place in the stands.
“they’re saying that satoru and i did it in the pool last night.” you note, miserably.
“dude. they talk. they’re trying to put you off your game. we’re not even talking about this right now. focus on the bars.” nobara responds.
you sigh, looking back at the group of them as they fly on the beams, and feel the acid rise up in your throat.
you knew that people talked. you knew that it was natural – to comment on what it was that they were seeing in the dining halls and the hallways – but it didn't make it any less fair.
“fuck them.” she states.
“i know, i’m just saying…”
“who said it?” nobara asks.
you pause, before pointing it out to her.
“she’s just jealous. you do know she’s been in interviews saying that the person she wants to meet the most is gojo, right?”
you pause.
“dude, everyone wants him. that’s not your fault. they might be slut shaming you now, but they would kill to be in your spot.” she responds.
you pause, looking at the burn on the front of your shin.
“if he doesn’t care what they say, why do you? if you see it through, all the shit they’re saying might not even matter if he’s actually worth your time. he’s happily ignoring all of it, for you, because he actually likes you. he wouldn’t be sitting there in the stands if he wasn’t.” she responds.
“sitting in the stands?” you ask.
nobara points toward the left, where you see satoru and three of his teammates sitting in the chairs, in the middle of the conversation. satoru gives you a wave now that you’ve looked over and you can’t help but walk over – noting the bright smile on his face as he starts walking over.
you didn’t realize he’d be here this early.
satoru leans over the railing, his hair dry for once as you look up at him. he reaches forward, fingers soft on your forehead, as he smiles.
“hi rookie.”
“what are you doing here?” you ask.
“big gymnastics fan.”
you give him an accusatory look.
“did you watch me eat shit just now?” you ask.
“any carpet burn?”
“the trainer will wrap it when she comes in.” you state.
he gives you a nod, reaching forward to cup the side of your face, before smiling.
“don’t overthink it.”
“i’m not.”
satoru narrows his eyes at you.
“give me a smile.”
“satoru. don’t be patronizing.”
he groans. you note that he gets more theatrical the closer you get to him. you find if funny.
“god forbid, this pretty, sweet girl smiles at me. god forbid i would want to see that.”
you roll your eyes.
“oh wait! i’ve got something to take your mind off of it.” he adds.
satoru gives you a smile, before leaning back on the railing, and unzipping the white windbreaker that he has on. you can’t help but immediately laugh, heart burning at the absolutely corny shirt that he’s wearing with your face on it.
“oh my god.”
“figured if they’re gonna talk, i might as well get all dressed up and give them something to look at, right?”
“how did you even do that?” you ask.
“maki knows a guy. had to show everyone i’m serious and rep the team.” he responds, gesturing over his shoulder.
you shoot a non-committal glance over, shooting a smile to the girl – the girl with the green hair that you’ve been talking about ever since you’ve gotten here – before you widen your eyes and pull satoru down by his wrist.
“you know the girl with the green hair?”
“uh, yeah. she’s part of one of the volleyball teams. met her at the opening ceremony. she’s a lesbian before you say anything rude.”
“idiot. i know she’s a lesbian. or well, i didn’t know that, i had a hunch. not that i assume things about people, i’m just saying that –”
“you’re rambling.” he states.
“maki is the girl that nobara eye fucks.” you whisper.
you watch as satoru clocks what you’re saying, his eyes going past your shoulder to where nobara is sitting, before he turns around and gives maki a glance.
“yeah, i’ll talk to her.” he states.
you pause.
“really?”
“yeah, yeah. worry about it after, alright?” he responds.
you can’t help but laugh, leaning forward as you press your hands to his cheeks, and close the distance between you two. satoru gives you another kiss on the cheek before you run off to share the news with nobara.
--
the floor final is the very last and the way the last names work out, you’re the last person up to attend. nobara wobbles on her beam and utahime misses a few points for a bad landing – meaning that your score needs to be higher than it’s ever been to get it in good shape for the team.
you all wait in silence, satoru’s hand over the railing in yours, his chin on the crown of your head, as you wait for the new score to be reflected on the screen.
utahime challenged the floor score that they gave you. because if she counted her numbers right, your score should have been 0.3 points higher – meaning that your team would be in range to medal as first.
the problem? challenging the score can get you more points. or dock them all together. you could easily go from a silver medal to nothing at all. utahime makes the executive decision to bet on it.
satoru leans down, nose pressed against your hair as he presses a kiss to the top of your head.
“she really challenged the score for you?” he asks.
“we are a team after all.” you mumble.
satoru nods, hands soft on your shoulder as he squeezes the tense spots.
“how much longer?” he asks.
satoru brings his hands down the railing, thumbs rubbing into the softness of your cheek as you watch the announcer walk up to the microphone, cardstock note in his hand as he reads off the note from the judges.
“i can’t listen.” you state, placing your hands over your ears, the sound half muffled and mixed with the cheers in the crowd as they start jumping behind you, nearly shaking the floor you’re standing on as you look back at satoru, blue eyes wide.
satoru leans forward, arms harsh as he hugs you hard, nearly panting in your ear as you pull back, knotting your hands behind his neck.
“what?”
“you won a fucking gold medal, dumbass. what do you mean what?” he breathes, hands shaking with anticipation as he leans forward, closing the distance between you.
you can barely process the thought as he pulls back, tucking his face into your neck, and wrapping his arms around you as yuuji wraps the flag around your shoulders, the group of them jumping in the stands.
“wait, i…”
“go get your fucking medal. come back later, nobara’s waiting.”
you can feel your legs shaking, warm tears in your eyes as nobara gestures for you to join her, hand extended out as you step off the platform.
you won the medal.
you take three steps off before running straight back up, pressing your lips to satoru’s one more time, before joining nobara on the podium. and you can’t help but beam at satoru right across the way and note the way he has his hand pressed to his heart.
--
satoru gojo wins five medals at the end of the week – all of which are gold – and notes that his secret to success is having a reinvigorated sense of drive in the sport.
that teaching someone the basics reminds him of why he fell in love with it in the first place.
you’re the only one who knows that he’s not talking about the swimming.

Underrated Sports Anime Recommendations!
In honor of the summer Olympics, I wanted to make a rec list for some underappreciated sports anime. Obviously we all know the popular stuff: Blue Lock, Kuroko, Hajime no Ippo, Ace of Diamond, Slam Dunk, Haikyuu, Free, Yuri On Ice, Yowamushi Pedal, Skate the Infinity etc. But there are lots of great sports anime out there that go completely unnoticed. And who knows, you might find a new sport to get into. Just FYI, these are all on the newer side, since most of the older sports anime I’ve seen are the popular ones.
I think a big reason that a lot of these have largely gone ignored is because they focus more on interpersonal drama between characters and what is going on in their home lives, as opposed to a bigger focus on the technicalities of the sport itself. Food for thought. Anyway, let's get started:
Stars Align (Hoshiai no Sora): Stars Align is about a boys high school soft tennis team (not to be confused with regular tennis) who are constantly getting out performed by their girls team. Desperate to get people to take the boys team seriously and get results, team captain Touma tries to get a new transfer student Maki Katsuragi to join. Maki eventually agrees ... .on the condition that Touma pays him and covers any club expenses. From there we discover the messy family drama going on in each boy’s life, and I just love all of them okay? They’re my precious angel babies, and sure I had some problems with the show’s pacing at the end, but I still love them and I want another season!!!! 😭
Tumblr media
Oblivion Battery (Boukyaku Battery): There are a myriad of baseball animes out there, but this one made an impression on me. Catcher Kaname Kei and pitcher Kiyomine Haruka are a badass, ace duo who dominated the field and made a fearsome reputation for themselves all throughout middle school. They seemed to be completely unstoppable…until Kaname (the brains behind the operation) lost his memory, became a total goofball, and the two ended up going to a no name high school with no real baseball team. So of course, we end up getting a rag-tag team together full of ex-baseball players with dramatic backstories who all help train Kaname up again. I love Kaname and Haru’s friendship, and the cast was very well rounded, each with their own interesting attributes to add to the team.
Tumblr media
Re: Main: If I had a nickel for every sports anime where the main character used to be an unstoppable badass until he lost his memory, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice. Yeah, it’s exactly the same as Oblivion Battery, but with water polo and the main character isn’t as much of a goofball. I liked the characters, but I wished we focused a little more on the water polo side of things, since it’s not exactly a dime a dozen sport for an anime.
Tumblr media
Mou Ippon: A girls high school judo anime from 2023 that nobody fucking watched! When former judo enthusiast Michi Sonoda enters high school, she wants to put judo behind her so she can focus on finding a boyfriend and enjoying her school life. However, after Michi suffers a particularly humiliating defeat in a match against her the prodigy Towa Hiura, the two end up going to the same high school together. Naturally, Michi can’t just quit now that her rival is going to the same school! Cue the judo team shenanigans. This show is so down to earth and realistic. It’s 100% not a “cute girls doing cute things” anime where the girls are all blobs of moe that talk in annoying voices. They have different body types, different motivations, and different styles of combat. It didn’t blow me out of the water, but I liked it way more than I thought I would.
Tumblr media
And speaking of different body types…
Hinomaru Sumo: That’s right, it’s a high school sumo wrestling anime. AND IT’S HYPE AS FUCK! You know how in Haikyuu, Hinata is short, and it’s a big deal because middle blockers are always tall? Well this is that multiplied by a thousand, because there’s a minimum weight to sumo wrestling, and our main character Hinomaru Ushio is definitely below it. But he’s not going to let that stop him from spreading his passion for sumo and becoming the High School Yokozuna, the strongest wrestler in high school tournaments…because becoming the Yokozuna is his only chance at going pro with his small stature. It’s impossible to watch this anime without feeling fired up!
Tumblr media
Run With The Wind (Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru): Kakeru Kurahara, a former track star, is looking for a place to live after losing his apartment deposit at a mahjong parlor. Luckily, he runs into Haiji Kiyose, a boy who goes to his university, who offers him a spot at his apartment. Little does Kakeru know, Haiji’s apartment is full of other university students who are all members of the Kansei University track team! The story follows the quietly devious Haiji as he tries to get the boys to become a nationally recognized team by running the Hakone Ekiden, an extremely long and grueling relay that none of the boys have ever trained for. This is one of my favorite sports anime ever. Don’t get it twisted, I hate running. I don’t like doing it, and I don’t like watching it in real life, but this anime had me in a chokehold. Animation? Amazing. Characters? A+. Music? Perfect. It’s hilarious. It’s relatable. It’s heartwarming. One of the absolute best sports anime out there.
Tumblr media
Welcome To The Ballroom: It’s a motherfucking ballroom dancing anime, and if you didn’t think ballroom dancing could be hype as shit, THINK AGAIN! The animation is great, and I never realized how much actually goes into the world of ballroom dancing. There’s not really much more I can say. High school boy discovers the cutthroat world of competitive ballroom dance. Drama ensues. Just ignore everyone’s oddly long necks.
Tumblr media
And speaking of dancing…
Dance Dance Danseur: Okay, this one isn’t quite in a sports competition setting, but I still consider it a sports anime. All his life, Junpei Murao has suppressed his interest in ballet, choosing to follow his father’s path for him in the more “manly” martial art of Jeet Kune Do instead. But when he realizes the girl he likes is a highly skilled ballerina, he hardly says no when she recruits him to train at her mom’s ballet studio. The show follows Junpei as he must balance these two worlds and become a ballet master while dealing with the divisive image of “masculinity.” My only real critique is that Junpei is kind of annoying, and I was actually much more invested in the other characters. There is a big message about the horrors of the competitive ballet world that I didn't think it would dive into.
Tumblr media
Overtake: Another show from 2023 that was terribly overlooked. In this anime, we follow disgraced photographer Kouya Madoka, who falls in love with the fast paced world of Formula 4 racing after watching high schooler Asahina Haruka. However, Madoka failed to realize that Haruka’s racing crew, Komaki Motors, is drowning in bills and underfunded as hell. So of course when he finds out, Madoka takes it upon himself to support Komaki Motors himself and get Haruka a place on the podium. This was such a great drama! Each character is so fleshed out and completely relatable. Even the antagonists! Hell, especially the antagonists. There is a great balance of drama and humor that make this feel like it could easily be a Hollywood movie. The longer you watch, the more you root for Komaki Motors and want to see everyone succeed. Madoka is best boy!
Tumblr media
And last but certainly not least…
Tsurune: In this anime, we follow Minato Narumiya, a former kyudo (Japanese martial art that involves archery) prodigy who wanted to quit the sport after an incident in a middle school tournament. However, after encountering a mysterious archer one day, Minato ends up joining his high school Kyudo team, despite his fear of failing at the sport again. It’s Free with archery, except there are also girls on the team! It has so many good themes about perseverance and found family and getting in your own head. And there is a massive amount of homosexual undertones. Not to mention it’s made by Kyoto Animation, so you know it’s one of the most beautifully animated shows I’ve ever seen.
Tumblr media
I just wanted to add a few honorable mentions too…
Cheer Danshi: A university boys cheerleading anime. I had problems with the pacing, but I still had fun with it.
Ryman’s Club: An odd blend of office anime with a badminton anime. I really liked this, but it’s sort of half sports anime, half The Office. But it’s the only thing on this list that features actual working adults and not students.
Megalo Box: I don’t know if it counts as “underappreciated” but this was a fantastic show all around. It’s a gritty, down to earth, sort of sci-fi take on the fictional sport of Megalo Boxing (boxing with enhanced mechanical arms).
Ping Pong the Animation: Look, I’m going to be honest. I didn’t really like this show very much, but apparently I’m the odd one out because this is an underground favorite of the sports anime community, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t include it. It’s one part ping pong, two parts character drama.
Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story: I couldn’t leave this out of the list. It’s the wildest golf anime you could ever imagine. There are lesbians. There are snake ladies. There are underground golfing yakuza. No amount of explanation can do it justice. Grab an age appropriate beverage and watch it.

can i request smut with juraj? maybe he comes home from practice a little sore, and you offer to give him a back massage, which somehow ends up turning him on and leads him to fucking you into oblivion 😫 thanks love x
Tumblr media
Your wish is my command my friend (Sorry for the late reply I've been busy)
The front door opens followed by a strained groan, telling you that Juraj is back from his morning practice. He drops his hockey bag by the door, releasing a sigh, and rubs his neck exhaustingly.
"Hey babe," you say getting up from the couch and kissing his cheek, "how was practice?"
"Coach wasn't too happy about our loss last night and definitely made us pay for it."
"Go ahead and take a shower and I'll give you a massage. We can relax for the rest of the day and just order in" You say rubbing his shoulders. He just nods tiredly and heads upstairs to your shared bedroom.
About 15 minutes later, Juraj gets out of the shower and changes into some boxers and some sweatpants. You go and grab your massage lotion and motion for Juraj to lie face down on the bed.
You apply the lotion to his back and slowly start to massage out the knots that you feel. Each knot you massage elicits a groan followed by a sigh of relief from your boyfriend. "Thank you for this dieťa."
"Of course my love," you say softly. Montreal hasn't been having the best of luck with the games recently and you know it's been taking a toll on him, especially with him being one of the more prolific players and having teammates get traded out of nowhere.
"Ok babe your back is done," you say patting his back, "anywhere else that's sore or giving you discomfort?"
He smirks for a second before slyly saying, "My legs for sure."
"Your disgusting" is all you say while laughing.
"You like it," he chuckled, "but do you mind doing my neck?"
You sit in front of him and begin to massage the sides of his neck. His eyes closed momentarily at the sensation and he let out a small sigh. You try not to let your mind wander while seeing your boyfriend react to your touch like this but it's hard not to.
You lean forward and give him a soft peck, which goes from his lips to his chin, eventually to his Adam's apple.
"Dieťa-" he said straining. With the way you were positioned on his lap you begin to feel his budge against your right thigh. "I think I have another way to help you relieve the rest of your tension" you whisper in his ear.
His eyes open and they are dilated to the point you can see a little of his irises. He repositions you on his lap as you begin kissing him properly and he bucks his hips slightly, releasing a moan from you.
"Are you sure you want to do this? I don't want to hurt you."
"I want this more than anything."
After the nod of confirmation, he removes your shorts and drags your underwear down with them. "All soaked for me" he said with a rasp.
He places the pad of his thumb on your entrance and you throw your head back at the sensation. He then inserts his middle finger and curling it upward extracting a yelp from you and your back begins to arch.
Juraj watches you with dark eyes and smiles knowing he's the only one that will ever make you feel this way. He adds another digit as he feels you begin to clench, telling him you are close. With you grinding against his fingers and curling his fingers, you feel that coil snap followed by a drawn-out moan as you climax on his hand.
"My turn," you say panting.
You and Juraj stand so you can remove his boxers and sweatpants. You signal him to lay on the bed and he does, never taking his eyes off of you.
You reach in the bedside table and grab a condom. You climb on his lap once more. You rip the condom open with your teeth and place it over him and pump him a few times, feeling him getting hard again with each pump. "We don't have to do this if your too tired Juraj" you say noticing his hooded eyes.
"I'm never too tired for you dieťa," he says reassuring you. He grabs your hips to position you over him. After prodding your entrance a few times, you finally sink down on him, both of you taking in shallow breaths. You slowly inch down as it always takes you time to adjust to his size. You're halfway when he thrusts up into you without warning and the most explicit moan escapes your lips.
"If you do that again, I'll come too soon and it won't be fun for either of us." You begin to move up and down at a steady pace, hands-on Juraj's chest for balance, as he's hitting every spot imaginable. You try not to clench as his groans become more strained. But a part of you wants to be a brat, so you stop.
"Why did you stop?" Juraj asks practically glaring at you and straining the words out as you clench and wiggle your hips a bit.
"My legs got tired," you lie. You just wanted to see how worked up he could get. He's close to his climax, you can tell, because he keeps trying to buck his hips to get come friction.
"Dieťa," he says through clenched teeth, "Move."
"I don't think I will," you say while pretending to ponder. You can feel him pulsing inside you and it's taking everything in you to not move just for your own sake.
Suddenly, he lifts you and places you face-first on the bed. He doesn't even give you time to get your bearings before he starts to pound into you from behind. His large hand on your back, pressing you against the mattress and you have to put your face in the pillow to muffle your sounds.
"Let me hear you dieťa, especially after being a brat," he says into your ear before grabbing your hair making a makeshift ponytail, and lifting your head. Not hard enough to hurt but with that and the fast pace of his hips, it was setting you over the edge.
"I shouldn't even let you cum" he says hitting your spot relentlessly.
"I'm sorry I was a brat, please let me come," you say desperately with baited breath.
"We'll see."
The sound of skin on skin reverberating around the room along with the explicit sounds from the both of you. Juraj getting lost with the sensation of your walls around him. He moves his right hand from your hip and moves it to your front, felling the imprint of himself in your lower stomach and moving it to your clit.
"You feel me inside you? I'm the only one who can make you feel like this."
"Oh my god, fuck-" you say, the last word coming out choked.
At this point, there are tears in your eyes from the sensation. "Let go," he rasps in your ear. After one sloppy thrust and him hitting your g spot you climax and he follows suit. You both are a panting sweaty mess and it's taking everything in him to not collapse on top of you.
A whine leaves your lips as he pulls out to remove the condom and discards it. You're too spent to move. Juraj lifts you and takes you both to your bathroom. He sits you gently on the toilet as he runs bath water for you both. He makes sure that the water isn't too hot and looks up to see your eyes struggling to stay open.
"Hey sleepyhead, lets have a bath first and then we'll go to sleep, ok?"
You nod tiredly and he helps you step into the bath and he sits behind you. "Who knew both of us wouldn't be able to walk?" you say with a light laugh.
He chuckles while you both take turns bathing each other, getting each other dressed with minimal movement. Juraj changes the sheets and both of you finally drift off to sleep in each others arms, mentally happy that there's no practice tomorrow.

Can I request a Matt x childhood friend reader, like I’m talking since diapers. But like everyone knows they like each other I’m talking EVERYONE 😭. But they’re both oblivious asf.
Oblivion
Tumblr media
Pairing: Matt Sturniolo X Female Reader
Synopsis: Y/N could not fathom the idea of being in love with Matt. It’s been shoved down her throat by her mother her whole life, and she’s never agreed. But one night she starts to think, and things take a turn🌙
Warnings⚠️: NONEEEEE, hope you enjoy tho🫂
Song for the imagine: Mind Over Matter- Young the Giant
You know you’re on my mind?
And if the world don’t break
I’ll be shakin it
Cause I’m a young man after all
Being an only child makes some people think you have it hard. You know since there’s no one you can really run to other than your parents. However I’d beg to differ.
I have been friends with the triplets and their brother Justin since I was in a diaper. Our moms being friends since high school really made it nice for us. It was an automatic built in friendship.
We had a lot of play dates since I had no siblings and no immediate family my age. I looked at them as my brothers and Justin as an older brother.
Our childhood was so fun, often going up to the Cape with them for the summer since my parents had to work. I never ever felt alone. Occasionally bored when they went on a vacation my parents didn’t let me go on, but still never a dull moment.
Matt and I got the closest since we shared similar interests, but also we felt like the odd ones out. Most times sticking with each other because Nick and Chris had their own group of friends we didn’t really like to hang around with.
My mothers always told me Matt was my soulmate whether it was romantically or platonically. She always said I gravitated towards him the most since we could crawl. I often cringed at this statement because he was like my brother.
I think I gravitated towards him the most because we liked a lot of the same things, and we were more reserved than Nick and Chris. We’d always get the same gifts because well like I said, we liked the same things. After a while our parents only got us one thing we’d both liked so we could share. Like vinyls for our record players, movies, CDs, and even accessories like hats and even rings.
I didn’t think Matt was my soulmate per say, especially not romantically. I mean sure I had a crush on all three of them at one point, but that’s totally normal. I got over it quickly. I even had a crush on Justin, and he’s 7 years older than us. I mean what’s not to like? He was a cool 17 year old with nice clothes, a cool bike and a new phone. To even be in his presence made me nervous. But like I said I got over those crushes quickly.
By the time we got to high school I’d say I never thought of any of them in a romantic way. They were gross teenage boys and I looked at them as stinky brothers. Matt had a lot of trouble attending school, so we didn’t hang out much till we all got home.
I found myself looking for him in the hallways, at lunch and even next to me when the seat was empty. I felt like I started to like him again, but quickly those feelings died down when I had a fair share of experiences with some boys at our school.
Matt really hated the guys I talked to, and I wasn’t sure why. By senior year we had our first argument over a guy I was dating. He told me he’d hurt me and use me, and I was so blind to it that we got into a fight. I didn’t speak to them that whole summer, and to my surprise that guy was a complete asshole like Matt said he was.
I went to a local college while the triplets focused on their YouTube career. After that summer ended I decided to make up with Matt because I really missed my best friend. I swear best friend breakups are worse than breaking up with a significant other.
We were all 18 and living our best lives as the four again. Spending every second of every day together. I tagged along with them while they filmed and did some things around the city.
I had finally gone home after being at their house for 2 weeks straight. Going from campus to their house and back stopping at my house to shower and change, but that was about it.
“Holy shit she’s home” I heard my dad say as I closed the front door
“I know I know the celebrities back home” I said nodding my head
“Where have you been?” My mom asked laughing
“Well to school and then the triplets and then back to school” I said
“I’m about to tell Mary Lou to let you stay there and charge you rent” my dad said
“Ahaha veryyyy funny” I said sitting down across from them
“You and Matt seem to be doing good” my mother said
“Yeah we’re good now” I replied back
“Sooo did you admit your feelings to him yet?” My mom asked
“Feelings?” I said furrowing my brows
“Yeah…you like the kid and he likes you it’s pretty obvious” my dad said laughing
“I don’t like him, and he doesn’t like me we’re just friends” I said crossing my arms over my chest
“Mmm I don’t know about that he seems like a love sick puppy” my mom said
“Yeah whatever” I said laughing
“Even their mom says it. Just confess already you guys are madly in love” she said
“What? Mom don’t be crazy” I said shaking my head
“You better admit to these feelings soon because that boys following you around like a guy under a love spell” my dad said
“You guys are being insane I’m going to bed” I said rubbing my temples
I went to my room and laid in my bed. My hands crossed over my stomach as I fiddled with my thumbs.
In love? No I couldn’t be.
Matt is my best friend, and that’s all.
Well I mean…..he is really handsome, sweet, and funny even though he says he’s boring which he isn’t. He’s super caring, always putting others above him.
He’s always there for me, he loves watching chick flicks with me and reading sad love stories. He loves my poetry that I write, always helping me make it better…..
I mean I couldn’t like him….right?
But then I started thinking
Friends don’t offer you their jacket if you’re cold, they don’t hold your shoes for you when your feet hurt, they don’t pick you up in the middle of the night because you’re sad, they don’t take you on Long Beach walks at night, or take you out to eat and pay EVERYTIME……..they definitely don’t watch romance movies and read sad romance books when you know they hate it. I mean, could he like me back??
No of course not, don't be irrational Y/N….hes just a very very nice friend is all.
My heart started to race and my breathing quickened. I shot up in my bed and looked into the darkness of my room.
Was I in love with Matthew?
The boy who would wipe his nose on me
The boy who would trip me to make his brothers laugh
The boy who would walk by and steal some food from my plate
The boy who would crack a joke and look at me to see if I’d laugh
The boy who waited for me in the rain when I was fighting with my ex
The boy who made me smile
The boy who made me look for him in everything I did
Holy shit…..
I AM IN LOVE??? WHAT THE FUCK???
I began to panic because of course I had boyfriends, but that was because I was bored. I’ve never loved a guy I dated
But for some reason I am in love with Matthew?
Cursing myself out internally because my mom was correct, and so was Mary Lou.
Suddenly my thoughts stopped when I heard something hit my window.
I jumped up from my bed and slowly walked over to my window when small pebbles hit the glass again causing me to flinch.
I looked out the window and to my surprise I saw Matt standing in my lawn??
Was this a cheesy 80s film? Where’s his boombox? And the stupid sunglasses?
I opened my window
“Matt it’s 1AM what are you doing here?” I said in a whisper
“I was bored” he said back
“You were bored? You could’ve texted me” I said raising an eyebrow
“Well yeah…” he said scratching the back of his neck
“Tell me the real reason you’re here” I said giggling
“I also miss you” he said smiling like a dork
“Miss me? Matt you’ve never said you missed me a day in your life” I said leaning on my palms as I look down at him
“Yeah I know, but I don’t know I just have been seeing you for so long that I guess I just really miss your presence” he said laughing a bit
“I’m loving this little Romeo and Juliet moment we’re having” I said laughing
“Oh shut up you know you missed me too” he said trying to throw pebbles up at me
“Mmm I’m not too sure” I said shrugging my shoulders
“And you left your lip gloss in my room” he said digging in his pocket
“That could be one of your girlfriends” I said laughing
“What? No….there's never girls in my room but you” he said pulling the lip gloss out
“Mmm how do I know you’re not lying” I said
“You’re the only girl I know who has used this same exact strawberry lip gloss since we were in 7th grade” he said showing me the gloss
“Alright you win” I said rolling my eyes
“And I never bring girls home” he said again
“I got the point Matthew just say you’re in love with me already” I said laughing playfully
“Not if the feeling isn’t mutual” he blurted out
“What?” I said shocked
“You heard me… Y/N I have been in love with you since we were 10, and if all my gestures haven’t made it possible. Then me standing out here on your lawn embarrassing myself at trying to say I love you better work. If I have to scream it to the world I will” he said swallowing thickly
“I….I” I could not form a sentence
“I’m sorry….this was wrong oh so wrong” he said shaking his head and turning around
I backed away from the window and ran down the steps to my front door.
I swung the door open and walked out and saw Matt walking away back to his car.
“Matthew! Don’t go” I said loudly
He turned around and looked at me stopping in his tracks
“I have been ignoring this feeling for far too long. Everyone around me is telling me how I feel and how you feel about me. I was so scared to open my eyes and realize that you may have been the one for me since forever. I never sat down and thought about it until tonight. When I replayed many interactions in my head. And I couldn’t wrap my head around why I’ve never loved any of my past boyfriends, and that’s because Matthew I’m so madly in love with you” I said breathing heavily
Matt walked over to me and crashed our lips together. I won’t lie, I have kissed plenty of guys before, but I’ve never enjoyed the kisses. I’ve never gotten butterflies or felt my face flush with heat. It had always been matt and it took me so long to realize.
His lips disconnected from mine as his thumb ran over my cheek staring into my eyes.
“I always wondered how many more time I had to watch The Notebook with you before you realized I was so in love” he said laughing
“Oh shut up” I said rolling my eyes and laughing
“God I’m just so in love with you” he said looking at me
I began to blush and looked away
“Will you be my girlfriend?” He suddenly asked me
My eyes snapped to his and my heart began to beat faster
“Yes Matt, yes I will” I said smiling
He smiled at this too and crashed our lips together once more.
That night I snuck Matt into my bedroom, and had a feeling that wouldn’t be the last time I’d do that.
We spent the night watching The Notebook and talking while we cuddled into each other's arms eventually falling asleep.
How could we both be so oblivious this whole time?
The End
I hope you guys enjoyed this one🥹🤞🏽. I’m at 1,410 followers which is MADNESS?? Like what???? I love yall so freaking much🥺🖤🖤

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The rivalry team had ran several home runs, you threw your hat on the dirt ground in frustration. Your jaw clenched as you watched the whole team celebrate in their win, rolling your eyes you walked over to the bench chugging the remaining water in your water bottle.
“Next time guys, I’ll see you guys next week for practice.” Your coach was disappointed but she wasn’t the type to show it.
Your whole team followed your captain to the locker room, defeated looks plastered on every girls face. The whole room was silent the only sound of feet shuffling and duffle bags zipping up.
You were the last to leave the locker room, losing was never your thing and it never will be. You’re a competitive person, anger was just boiling in your veins.
“Y/n? Baby, you here?” You heard the raspy voice of your girlfriend call out for you in the echoing room.
“Yeah Els, m’here.” You were sat on the bench tying up your laces, hearing the footsteps of her get closer.
“Hey, stop with the pouting you guys lost one game out of how many?” She squatted in front of you, her arms on her knees with her tattoo that you loved so much on display.
“But this loss was so fucking stupid! We could’ve had it if fucking Jaden knew how to throw a damn ball!” Your voice was now growing louder in frustration.
“Baby, she’s new, just a freshmen don’t be so rough on the girl.” Ellie hand your hand in hers, rubbing the back of it, leaving soft sweet kisses on the back of it.
You sighed taking your hair out of the stupid bun you quickly tossed it in, Ellie always knew how to soothe you. Having a girlfriend with anger issues was not easy to deal with but she knew how to ease you with little things like kissing you so gently as if you were fragile.
She grabbed your chin pulling you into a loving kiss, lips melting into each others. Ellie was swift with changing her position from her toes to the bench with each leg over it, pulling you closer by your waist.
The kiss getting hotter every lingering second, Ellie was a sucker for slow kissing, the way she took her time feeling your tongue with hers made her sluttier. You slowly pulled away from her giggling watching her chase after your lips.
“Not in the locker room baby, someone’s gonna walk in.” Your comment made her roll her eyes.
“Everyone is probably home, c’mon.” She bit her bottom lip, her black framed glasses sliding down the bridge of her button nose.
“Be quick Ellie.” Is all you had to say before her slender fingers were quick to undo your pants.
You bit your lip trying to hide the grin forming on your lips, seeing how desperate your girlfriend was for you even after all these years of being together. You lifted up your hips to help her slide them off faster along with your panties, you watched her get on her knees for you, her hands were quick to throw your legs over her shoulders.
Ellie was a little pervert, she fucking went crazy over your scent even stole some of your underwear while she was fucking you into absolute oblivion. She kissed the inside of your thighs, leaving little love bites that made you squirm and whine for more.
“Mm so needy sweetheart, use your pretty little words.” The way she knew how to sweet talk you could make you orgasm.
“Please Ellie, please touch me.” You huffed a little feeling your body start to heat up from the inside.
“Touch you where baby?” She basically mocked, her lips kissed your aching clit causing you to buck your hips.
“Please touch my pussy, please Ellie.” The way you begged for her had her brain hazy.
Her lips connected with your pulsing bud, sucking on it so deliciously your eyes rolled to the back of your head. Your fingers made their way onto the roots of her hair as your thighs spread further apart.
“Mmgh— oohh fuuck Ellie.” You felt her two fingers slide so easily into your soaking cunt.
She curled them so amazingly making you clench around her, her pace quickened with every moan of her name that slipped out your whiny lips. Her tongue swirling around your clit making the pleasure overwhelming.
“Fuck, I could eat this pussy for hours.” She muttered to herself, fucking her fingers into your squelching hole at an ungodly pace.
“M’gonna cum— gonna cum Els!” Your mouth fell open feeling the pressure in your stomach rise.
“Aww gonna cum pretty? Cum all over my face.” Your eyes half lidded looking at your girlfriend devouring you.
The way her glasses fogged up the frames, her green eyes locked onto your pretty ones. Fuck she looked so beautiful like that.
“Ohmygod.. m’cumming i’m cummin Ellie!” Your orgasm hit hard it had you seeing stars for a minute.
“God you should see your pretty little fucked out face doll.” She chuckled wiping her chin with the back of her hand, a cocky smirk smacked onto her face.

who you are / csb
Tumblr media
word count: 3,180
genre: soft angst, fluff, slice-of-life
warnings: not much happens in this and it’s almost a vent piece so you probably wont love this — mentions of nervousness, family issues, mc has a big family
synopsis: when soobin finally meets your family, he learns something about you (and he can’t help but love you more)
soundtrack: lovelovelove by baek yerin and can’t you see (acoustic) by matthew and the atlas
Tumblr media
soobin is never home on weekdays in the mornings because of work, happily assisting the newbies at his barista job, since he’s been working there for three years now. he didn’t remember what nine am’s in his home looked like until now. he paces his hallway, awaiting your text message to let him know you’re outside to pick him up. it’s the big day after all, the one where he meets your family.
it’s been roughly eleven months since you both started dating and you’d just been introduced to soobin’s family a week earlier from now at a brunch. his sister and brother had finally decided to both visit his family home at the same time. despite the great harrowing pill of trepidation taken at meeting your boyfriend’s family, they had been so graciously welcoming and accepting of you. their questions were mere softballs, compliments and genuine interest in you that didn’t at all feel too much. you and soobin are familiar with the weight of stares, certain tones, and body language.
you had understood that floods of words could be conveyed through touch. being held by his family, a gripping hug, tearful thank you’s told you everything. it just meant a lot of love. soobin’s parents had embraced you so tightly that night, his mom more than kind and thankful when she held your hands and told you how special her son was to her, how dear you were to him and for that, she thought of you that much as well.
it all made sense that night on the drive home — it made you comfortable, knowing and seeing how soobin was raised well and so loved. he’s his own guy, but he is definitely a fragment of all those around him: infinitely precious.
so, when time allowed for him to meet your own family, despite the fear of jumping off your comfortable cloud into oblivion, you and he felt it was time. sure, he was beyond nervous when you both agreed to today as he’s currently anxious out of his mind, but you are, too. eye twitches, shivers, and that swirling pit in your stomach are all little footprints of this feeling.
really, as long as you have each other, just the knowing of it, that’s what matters.
he feels his phone vibrate and your contact name and picture pop up from a message that lets him know you’re outside. a small grin sprouts between his dimples at the sight of that photo. in it, you’re wearing his hoodie with the hood over your head so only your mouth is showing, a big smile worn. of course he had to set his contact photo as that. your contact name has your name with a single white heart.
just by seeing it, thinking of you… this warm feeling washes over his freezing shivers that wrack him from anxiety. you melt it away. you make a typo in your message as he’s already exiting his place, meeting you, stepping in your car, greeting you with a gentle but wide hug, kissing your cheek and thumbing the ends of your pretty eyelashes.
so, even if he’s nervous, you were able to do it, and it is about time, after all. he can do it. he holds your hand the entire way.
amazingly enough, the drive draws his anxieties away, your hand in his, and far too distracted by your chatter and the way his legs must bend to fit in your passenger seat. you chat about work or school, or something an online player from his game did that was funny, even jamming out to your shared playlist. but then when you start slowing down, pulling into a street, hitting stop signs, it gets quiet.
“we’re acting like we’re going to the police station…” you point out, sharing a little laugh with your boyfriend, whose eyes are bouncing around as they always do. there’s lots of cars down this specific street. it’s why you have to park just a little ways to your destination, beside the curb, soobin gaping at the environment and litter of cars that definitely signifies there’s a lot of people inside. the growing clamminess in his palms only intensifies.
“soobin, we don’t have to do this if you don’t want to, baby,” your small flame of reassurance has him turning back to you, a crease between his eyebrows and a pout on his cute lips. you have this effect; the world can start spinning far beyond a speed he can keep up with, but there you go, slowing things down. “what?” his question comes out a lot louder than intended, making you both laugh. “i wanna do this… i’m just nervous is all. that’s normal. i’ll be fine, babe.” you don’t seem satisfied with that, nodding and trying to smile it off. he sighs, deflating into the seat.
“i just… i don’t want to leave a bad impression on your family.” he mumbles, ears growing crimson. you coo and he scoffs a little, fake annoyance at your touched reaction. soobin’s legs are folded, knees pulled up high from his great height, but they also surround a gorgeous bouquet of flowers that sit in a timeless vase he bought. those familiar, luscious gardens are so full, you can even catch a glimpse of their edges and you’re down the street from them. all in all, it’s a very sweet gesture — you paid witness to him tracking down multiple florists and online shopping for a pretty vase.
“that’s how i felt about your family! and look what happened? i’m still alive and it’ll be the same for you!” you wrap your hands around his bicep in an effort to warm him up. your cheek presses on his shoulder. his head angles down and your eyes lock. oh he’s a very weak man when it comes to you.
“that’s not fair!”
“what is?”
he exhales, eyes dropping to your steering wheel.
“no one could hate you. you’re basically perfect!”
and if you’d been an anime character, your nose would’ve for sure bled. it’s silly how he thinks this way of you when he’s got it flipped. he doesn’t even know how special and loved and wonderful he is. to you, at the very least.
after giving soobin a few more moments to prepare, you both unload your car once he feels ready to enter.
he watches with rapture at the way you look around at what he is seeing for the first time. it’s different the way you do it. you look at things with familiarity and this far away look that can’t decide itself between nostalgia or simple history. soobin’s heart thumps something harder because he’s about to see who you came from and how you came to be.
the door opens once you knock and there’s a few kids lingering in the hallway, waving at you, staring a little too long at soobin. you introduce them as your younger cousins, and all hell breaks loose once you tell them it’s your boyfriend. soobin’s eyes grow so big at their loud excited voices, all asking questions about his height, if he loves you, if he has a lot of money, et cetera — all silly questions that feel like practice runs for when it comes to the adults. he allows himself to be shy, to stutter and make mistakes, expecting harsh reactions for doing so but your girl cousins simply coo and call him cute. the boys ask if he plays any games and right when an interesting conversation is about to start, you hear your mom’s voice before she makes her way over to you, grinning ear to ear.
looking down at others physically-wise is not new to him. he’s just been tall since he could remember, shy, too, might he add, so standing out isn’t a new concept. however, now as he meets your mom and slowly the rest of your immediate family bleed into the living room, he feels so exposed and naked, watching from above, like he can’t control his real body. he finds himself particularly scared. what grounds him is the way you hold his hand or link arms with him, turning your head all the way to face him, smiling at him like you’re the only two here. the littlest contact does wonders for him.
all good?
your eyes deliver this message in the shadows. his dimples flex.
all good.
for the first hour or so, it’s just introductions and endless flow of compliments. all your relatives call him cute, handsome, charming, and oh so very tall. he hides his blushes as best he can despite towering over you. everyone’s having dinner by the time you and he arrive, so you just assume your plates and eat at your own little table, talking and fighting the nervous sweats. soobin finds that the new foods he’s trying seem to distract him with how good they taste.
then, it gets a little… soobin doesn’t know how to put it. nor did he think it was his place to have an opinion. well, at least at first. one by one, some cousins and relatives come by to your table to get to know more about soobin. he gets flustered easily, so it was expected that he wouldn’t be able to handle everything perfectly. but, he did, not that he had a choice. you would be speaking for him, but they would cut you off, demanding he answer instead. you’d seemed flustered, apologizing, squeezing his palm and looking at him expectantly.
it became more than that.
soobin might not know the ins and outs of girl talk and well, the inner workings of your family, but he senses the backhandedness of the constant surprise your family members show at seeing you together. they choose their words incisively. his heart aches for you when they do so. your mom even jovially points out your flaws to contrast his strong points he’s only revealed to answer their question.
you just fight it off with an embarrassed grin, gripping onto soobin’s big hand from under the table.
there’s no place to try to even talk about what’s going on. not without any prying eyes following you or him. he has no ill feelings — well, maybe a little — towards your family, but he doesn’t understand why it is the way it is.
it’s getting awfully late, the party definitely running on momentum to carry on past the dead hours of the night, and you know it’s more than ready to begin bidding goodbyes. you rise from your chair, sparing soobin a tight smile, excusing yourself from your parents first before making any moves with soobin.
leaving seems a lost cause when you keep getting pulled aside by a relative or two. right when each conversation is done, your mom is calling you over to the kitchen to take leftovers. as you should.
it’s when he’s briefly alone, a few family members turn to him, simple questions on their tongue. his heart beats so fast and irregularly, but he somehow finds the strength to ask a few questions.
all he gets is one in, and somehow it is enough to answer a lot.
what were you like as a child?
he is met with inconsistencies or things that seem to be the opposite of you. they fumble softball questions, so obviously unaware of your hobbies, your favorite color, your passions, drawing assumptions of your character on the way they treated you as a kid. soobin smiles and nods, internally confirming his previous thoughts, though it makes his stomach ache at the thought of it.
sunshine comes around the corner in the form of you, speeding over with a large tupperware of food, nearly tripping with the bustling kids running around without care. your smile is stretched so big and he knows more than anything that it’s because you can’t wait to get out of there.
instead of excusing yourself individually from everyone with soobin like you’re supposed to, you both just get up and head to the door, waving and giving one big verbal goodbye. soobin holds the tupperware for you in one hand and he has your purse hanging over his shoulder, bowing his head a few times and smiling while you wave and keep saying bye until the door shuts behind you. you deflate with relief once it does that.
the walk to the car is quiet. both of your stomachs are turning with anxiety because you kinda do have to talk about it.
soobin opens the passenger car door, setting the bins down on the seat before closing, turning to face you as you lean on the car next to him. he moves away so, you can lean on where he was standing.
he can’t really let it go. they don’t even know you. maybe you gave them the opportunity to, while you grew up, maybe you didn’t. but, you just now are old enough, their lack of empathy and familiarity a result of their own carelessness. you were just a kid.
soobin turns on his heel to face you. his shoe twists the gravel beneath, dull against the incoherent beats of crickets chirping and cicadas buzzing. the streetlight above attracts a few fluttering moths, dim in its function, enough for fireflies to float around in the air. the world moves around you both, never pausing for either of you to try and catch your breath. literally. it spins on its axis at 1,000 miles per hour.
it is pretty baffling when he thinks about it. the way you do so much for him, calming down his faint heart, and his chest clenches at the annoyed urge that he can’t have the same or a better reciprocation of providing shelter, happiness, and love.
your eyes are still stuck on your dress shoes, head hanging low and back slumped against the passenger door of the car.
“sorry, you had to see all that.” you finally manage, moving upwards to look at him with a humorous smile.
the world moves fast regardless of what happens. soobin doesn’t know why he gets so hung up on the mountains he can’t move.
he blinks down at you, watching the way your curtain of eyelashes reflect a shine from the lamp post near you, fingers twiddling in real time at the speed of your thoughts. you are everything to soobin. he loves you and declares himself the happiest person ever being with you. isn’t that enough?
there’s a lot he knows he can’t do. but one thing is sure, he loves you endlessly.
“don’t be sorry, babe,” he takes another step closer to you, smile widening and at that, your mouth follows his expression. like magic, lighting a flame in his heart and tummy, your hands reach up towards his, and without sparing another moment, he takes them in his hands. you intertwine your fingers, moving your wrists a little, hands playing around.
there’s a part of him, wide and conquering, that has him unsure of what to say, no room to figure out the best thing to open up with or explain what unfolded. you yourself look overwhelmed with this very burden. even if your smiles say otherwise.
he makes a little noise that is somewhere between a gasp and a hum before sealing the proximity. soobin slides next to you against the car and gently rounds his arms over you, pulling you in for a hug that knows no end to comfort. he curls his hand in your hair. his fingers stroke softly through the area closest to your temple and your own hand fists into his clothes. a kiss is pressed to your crown and your eyes sting.
the crickets chirp so loudly around you. the bass of the muffled music booms from the inside, but it doesn’t reach your ears. he kisses again this time with an audible pucker, making you snicker into his bicep. your hand shifts up to drift over it. you wrap up in each other like two snakes on a caduceus.
soobin is so thankful you let him in to your little world, even if it meant you nicked yourself while opening the door to your background. it adds up as to why you’re so resilient and strong, characteristics he could only dream of being able to call himself. he thanks you for allowing him the honor to knowing you, understanding you, and loving you. the people you consider family don’t know you one bit, but he feels lucky because you let him know you. and you are so beautiful. he has to blink aggressively so as to will the stinging tears away.
“do you think your parents liked me?” he murmurs and you snort, angling your head to now face up at him.
“soob,” your tone is in warning, but he knows you’re joking. “you know they loved you.” with that answer, you reach up and stretch to peck the corner of his lips.
“and your family, too?”
“especially my family.” you chuckle, feeling the fabric of his sleeve. soobin holds back a sigh. guilt and a sort of odd tension bubbles in his gut.
“thank you for letting me meet them,” he mumbles against your hair. you hum out a response, but it mainly comes out as an acknowledgment. “now, i know we have tupperwares of food, but what if…?” you can hear his smile.
“what if we go get mcdonald’s and watch a show while we snuggle?” at the last word, soobin brings you closer in his chest, laughing at your muffled yelp and own laughter.
you angle your head to peck a kiss to his wrist, looking up at him and he is already gazing down at you, eyes full of love.
your heart races just a bit at the excitement but also because you know you are due to talk about how you felt during the dinner. the drive home is going to be filled with your favorite songs, you and your boyfriend singing along to the lyrics while the other one talks or comments on tonight. soobin drives this time, ordering and picking up the food, your order memorized. you feed him some ice cream while practically downing your own. once the show is on, food is settled, you and him are wrapped up in blankets. you bring it up on your own accord, talking about how your family made you feel and how you already would rather spend heaps of more time with soobin’s than your own. soobin will stay quiet for a bit, hand rubbing your back in circles until he tears up, making you tear up, leaving you two to have quite a heart to heart. the forecast has already played out, but it doesn’t matter; none of it does since you have soobin and he makes you so happy. so, you pull away, giving him a big smile, which makes him light up like a star, and say,
“i’d want nothing more.”

I haven’t got the time to actually commit to making a custom follower mod.
But I’ve had an idea of a friendly Dremora or Xivilai follower. The player would meet him by an old shack and a stack of stones marking a grave. He’d be injured and cornered by a few vigilants of stendarr trying to banish him back to oblivion and failing, all the while wondering why he’s not attacking them or fighting back in anyway.
The player kills them and heals him. He explains he’s lived here for 200 some years with his high elf wife before she passed away. He can’t return to oblivion because he pledged his heart and soul to her and now spends his days tending to her decaying home and keeping her graveside company. He’ll ask if the player has need of him and if you say yes he’ll remark how his wife would want him to help others as he did her.
He’s very soft spoken despite his rough exterior and inherent nature and will tell the player about how he was made for the oblivion crisis and was taken in by his wife when he was severely injured. She taught him how to see his existence as more than just pain and bloodshed.
He likes flowers and would remark about what ones she’d grow to make medicine. Hed have a surprisingly witty and yet silly sense of humour too. Openly giggling as he remembers the stories of the whoopie cushion on molag bals throne incident.
Over all he’s very sweet until it comes time to charge into battle, that’s when he’d scream something like “ILL GUT YOU ALIVE!”
After which the player can tell him it was surprising to hear him scream so aggressively after seeing how gentle he truely is. To which hed reply something like “I’m a daedra made for war. I may have been out of commission for some 200 years, but I still know how to intimidate my enemies with a good battle cry. Im hardly going to run at them and yell ‘come give me a hug’… though, actually that might be scarier than openly threatening them.”
After said interaction he’d occasionally charge into battle screaming “COME GIVE ME A HUG!” To which one of the enemies would run away screaming in terror.

Chapter Two
Well, Chris. That was certainly a disappointing start to the season for Richmond.
Indeed, Arlo. Arsenal were all over them. It seems that new coach Ted Lasso’s tactics aren’t cutting it just yet.
I think that’s probably unsurprising, especially from him being a NFL coach in the States before this. Have Richmond bitten off more than they can chew, do you think, Chris?
I don’t know, Arlo. But without Jamie Tartt the team wouldn’t have clinched even one goal, so I hope Lasso knows to utilise the young striker a lot more.
Very right, Chris.
I’m always right, Arlo.
That’s debatable, Chris. Remember the prediction of 2004?
We don’t talk about the prediction of 2004, Arlo. I told you that in confidence.
Defeat settled around the stadium. As far as first ever football games went, yours had gone to shit. The guys had played to oblivion, but Arsenal had been better. You sat in the box next to Keeley, feeling the commiserations from the home crowd. They would go home in a sulk, for sure, and you didn’t blame them. You were feeling it yourself, even, despite all that you didn’t know about the sport.
You and Keeley left the owner’s box together, heading down the stairs. You went to take a left, heading for the car park, when Keeley stopped you gently. “What, going home already?”
“Is that not a normal thing to do after a game is over?” you asked.
Keeley snorted. “Not today. It’s Sam’s birthday, you wally. I’m driving Jamie home, too. So come on! Don’t be another debbie-downer from the crowd.”
You followed her down another set of stairs, headed for the locker room. As you approached, you could hear Coach Lasso. He blasted an optimistic pep talk to his guys, but if you’d been sitting in that room after a 3-1 loss, you wouldn’t want to hear it personally.
Keeley turned the corner first, as you whispered behind her not to interrupt. She rolled her eyes at you, entering the locker room and leaving you outside. You let out an annoyed sigh, bobbing on the spot with anxiety, before you finally plucked up the courage to show yourself.
“Hard luck, boys,” Keeley said first, going to sit upon Jamie’s lap.
You emerged in the doorway, arms crossed. To your surprise, the sunken faces of a few players perked up at your arrival. Isaac sat up straighter when he saw you, as did Sam. They both sent you small smiles through their frowns of defeat.
“Well, hey!” Ted said. “Good of you to join us.” He gently squeezed your shoulder, showing you it was okay to come in.
You sent a look of sympathy around the room as you entered, before your gaze fell upon that of a dishevelled Roy Kent. “Sorry about the loss, guys,” you said, not knowing what else to add.
“It’s a shame,” Sam began. “This was your first football match, was it not?”
A collective groan went around the room, only making you feel worse. You raised your hands defensively, widening your eyes. “No, no, don’t feel bad!” you let out, panicking. “Listen, it’s taken me my whole life to watch a football game, alright? And despite the outcome of this one, I wouldn’t change it for the world.” Your gaze skimmed Roy’s again, and you pooled all your genuine feelings within that one look. He sighed heavily, but some tension was relieved from his shoulders.
“Well said,” Ted spoke up. “I know this isn’t the outcome we all wanted, but we take it in our stride, and we move on. Besides, we have a cake to eat for Sam’s birthday here!” he exclaimed. Isaac clapped Sam on the back, and a few smiles trickled around the locker room. “So, grab a slice, get some sugar back in your systems, and let’s do better next time.”
You stayed with the guys in celebration, as Coach Beard pumped some tunes into the locker room. Jamie was the only one who stayed visibly pissed off. Keeley jumped off his lap as he grabbed his bag, leaving the room with her on his tail closely.
You watched them leave, but couldn’t stay on them for long. Ted shoved a plate of cake into your hands, taking you by surprise. The guys milled around too, coming up to ask about the match and what you made of it. You hated to admit it, but this was nice. This was the first time you felt properly involved with the team, despite Isaac’s birthday the week before. That hadn’t felt as familiar, but this did. These were people you knew now, in all their boyish glory.
You sat down in the middle of the room, on the central island. You listened to Colin’s jokes, and Richard’s stories from back home in France. Sam opened a few stray presents that had appeared in his cubby over the course of the day. What had you constantly turning your head, however, was Roy Kent.
He sat by his cubby, sorting through his things silently, a plate of cake untouched by his side. You had the urge to go and sit next to him, but you didn’t know the reason for it. There was a huge sense of respect for Roy within the walls of this stadium, but when it came to socialising, Roy usually sat out. You set down your own slice of cake, standing up abruptly in the middle of a story by Bumbercatch. You headed for Roy, and sat down next to him before he could protest. You crossed your legs and leaned back into the cubby next to him, crossing your arms comfortably. Roy stopped sorting his things, just to look at you for a moment, before he continued.
“Can I help you?” he asked.
“No,” you said, leaving it vague. “Was just wondering why you had an aversion to your teammates being social, is all.”
Roy rolled his eyes and let out a sound between a groan and a growl. It was like a mid-ground. “I don’t have a fucking– aversion– to social events with the team.”
You shrugged. “Okay.”
Roy froze. “I don’t.”
You shrugged again, more aggressively. “I agreed with you.”
“Yeah, but you’re fucking lying. You think I avoid them.”
“I don’t think you do. You do avoid them.”
“Oh,” he looked at you like he’d just stood in dogshit. “Just– fuck off– with your assumptions, and your–” he waved his hand in front of his face, then in front of yours. “Your fucking face.”
You scoffed. “My face?”
“You always look like you know something about me,” he said. “It creeps me the fuck out.”
You raised your hands defensively. “Sorry,” you said. “I can’t help the way my face looks, unfortunately.”
Roy dropped his gaze to the floor. “You know that’s also not what I fucking meant.”
“Was it?” you said, but by this point you were fully fucking with him. You found it enjoyable, especially since you’d squashed your beef, to play with him more. He nibbled on every joke, every dig, that it was impossible to stop making them.
“I– fucking hell–” Roy looked back at you, and you let out a proper laugh.
“I’m fucking with you, Roy. Jesus, don’t worry,” you said, gently resting your hand upon his thigh without thinking. You only noticed when he stopped to look down at your knuckles; that’s when you realised his bare skin was practically burning a hole through your palm.
You took your hand off him, placing it in your lap quickly. “Sorry, sorry. I’ll leave you be,” you said, genuinely, before you stood. “I know it’s shit, by the way. Losing,” you said, with your back turned to him, before you twisted yourself to peer down at him. “But I meant it. I wouldn’t change this being my first football match for the world.”
Roy took in your words, letting out a soft sigh through his nose. He nodded. “Thank you,” he let out softly. You smiled at him, before you finally left him alone.
Days became more routine. You’d walk to work, grab a coffee on the way, say hello to the boys upon your arrival, before settling into your office. When you weren’t working on articles or website updates, you were looking up football facts, or writing your own novel. Your days at the Dogtrack had become something you were fond of, especially now that you weren’t strangers with anyone there anymore.
Sometimes, Sam would pop his head around the door of your office, and you’d have a catch up about books. You’d been recommending reads to one another for a few weeks now, each of you bringing in books from your own personal libraries for the other to read. It was like a mini book-club of sorts. That, and you just enjoyed the company of Sam Obisanya. He was younger than you, but felt wise beyond his years. You think you latched onto one another from how foreign everything felt– he was in a completely new country, while you were in an utterly new industry. Both of you felt like fishes out of water, sometimes.
You’d become closer with Ted, too, for that very same reason. Between you, your combined knowledge of football was practically comical. God forbid anyone asked either of you to explain the off-side rule, or a handball violation. Beard was an enigma of a man, and someone you didn’t mean to avoid, but just ended up doing. But, with more matches being played and lost, team morale was at an all time fucking low. You could sense it every time you entered the locker room after a long day of training, or decided to join the guys after their Saturday match days. You could never do what they did– all that losing would kill you off before you’d even make it to a win. That was why you took it upon yourself to try and cheer them up in the ways that you could.
You didn’t pity them or stroke their egos. You sat with them, and you listened. Sure, you had no fucking clue what they were saying when they mentioned 4-4-2 layouts, or a football kicking manoeuvre, but still you listened. Sometimes, that was all they needed. It seemed to be helping, and you didn’t mind spending more time with the guys when they simply needed it.
That’s what led you to join them after training one Tuesday, but morale was certainly higher than you’d been expecting. You entered the locker room with a smile, giving Colin a high five upon your arrival. Sam and four others were talking enthusiastically in the corner, and you perked your brow.
“What are they talking about, Colin?” you asked, as Colin pulled on one of his trainers.
“The charity ball. They’re talking about their plus ones, I think.”
“A charity ball?” you asked, peering down at him.
“You don’t know about the ball?” Colin asked back, and you shook your head. He stood abruptly then, clapping the boys to attention. “Guys! This one doesn’t know about the charity ball!”
His alert led the guys to erupt in several different conversations. It was far too much for you to take in, so you raised your hands and let out a chuckle. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, one at a fucking time.”
The room dulled to a stable level. Sam took the lead. “The charity ball is Richmond’s event of the season. Celebrities, cameras, lights, a special performance from a musical artist, all for charity.”
“Musical artist?” you said.
“This year it’s Robbie Williams!” Colin exclaimed, prompting the room to go back to roaring.
You looked to your right and hit Roy’s wandering gaze. He winced at the volume in the room, before he inhaled deeply. “Hey!” he yelled suddenly, shutting the guys down. “I can’t hear myself not think. Also, I fucking hate Robbie Williams.”
“Are you going this year, Roy?” Colin asked.
“‘Course, I’m going. There’s booze, isn’t there?” he said, and all of the guys nodded in agreement.
“We’re just talking about our plus ones,” Sam spoke to you again. “Richard just landed himself a Victoria Secret model.”
“Fucking hell,” you let out, suddenly feeling the smallest bit insecure. It was like you forgot the guys were big name footballers, and when you were reminded of that fact it hit you like a suckerpunch, sometimes. “Good on you, Richard.”
Richard nodded, sat on the bench by his cubby. “She has a kind heart. And, she is smoking hot.”
You smiled awkwardly. “Brilliant,” you muttered.
“Are you not coming?” Sam asked, strolling towards you. “You are part of Richmond now, are you not?”
“Well, considering I didn’t know about it until now, I guess Rebecca hasn’t factored me in. When is it?”
“On Friday,” Colin said.
You winced. “Yeah. I’ve definitely been left off this guestlist.”
Almost immediately, the boys started groaning. They slapped their hands on their thighs and stood up with annoyance. They wanted you to come, and it made your heart warm, definitely, but there was probably nothing you could do.
“I think we all have plus ones now, sadly,” Sam said. He placed his hand over his heart. “Otherwise, I would have taken you as my date in a heartbeat.”
“No, no, I would’ve, bruv.” Isaac chimed in. As if on cue, all of the boys went around the room and reassured you that they would have taken you.
You inhaled deeply and smiled so genuinely that you had to tell yourself to stop. They did this to you often, made you feel special, and welcome, and all of the things that you thought you wouldn’t feel on your placement here. They were kind.
You raised your hands again, trying to calm them down. “Guys, guys! Thank you, all of you. I appreciate you all saying you’d bring me, but it’s fine. I’m grateful for the gesture, anyway.” They nodded at you, all smiling their winning grins, before they went back to packing their bags. “Well, I’ll be off then. See you all tomorrow!” you announced.
“Wait a fucking minute,” Roy said, and the room dropped to silence once more. You halted immediately, turning back to meet his eye. “I don’t have a plus one.”
In the corner of your eye, Sam’s eyes widened. Isaac’s jaw dropped open. Colin’s eyes darted between you and Roy like a tennis match.
You held onto the strap of your tote bag tightly, until your knuckles turned white. “Oh.” You tried to say it nonchalantly, but it came out statically, timidly. You hated the sound you just made so bad that it was a miracle you didn’t melt from your own embarrassment.
“So?” Roy asked.
“So…?” you repeated awkwardly.
“Do you want to be my fucking date or what?” he let out. “They’re right. You’re part of this club. You should get to join us.”
You looked around the room for approval, but it was then that you realised, if he’d only asked you in a different setting, you wouldn’t have hesitated to say yes. It was the pressure of all the guys around you that made it all the more worse. You knew Roy meant it as a kind gesture, not as anything more, but it was still easy for your heart to start pulsing harder beneath your ribcage.
You smiled bashfully, trying to play it off as nothing more. “Yeah. Yeah, I’d like that.”
“Great,” Roy boomed, picking up his gym bag and slinging it over his shoulder. “I’ll pick you up.” He stepped towards you, headed for the door.
You scoffed. “You don’t have to do that. I can meet you there, or something.”
Roy peered down at you sternly. “I’ll pick you up,” he repeated.
“Okay,” you said timidly, giving in fast.
Roy left without another word, leaving you in the locker room. The guys stood around you with gobsmacked expressions, but one glance at them unlocked them from being statues. They went back to their prior conversations, with an underlying hubbub of gossip about what they’d just witnessed.
You left the stadium with two thoughts littering your mind. One, you had no idea what to fucking wear, and two– Roy fucking Kent had just asked you to be his date to the Richmond charity ball.
On the walk home, you called Keeley.
She picked up fast. “Hey babes, you okay?”
“Hey. Yeah, I’m okay. I do have a favour to ask of you, though,” you said.
“Okay, fire away!”
“I need an outfit for the Richmond charity ball,” you announced.
“I was wondering if you were coming! Leaving it pretty close, though, babe.”
“Yeah, well.” You sighed, knowing that Keeley would take the news the wrong way, but still you persisted. “I wasn’t invited explicitly, but Roy just asked me to come as his plus one.”
Keeley squealed like a crying baby. You held your phone away from your face, wincing in pain, until her shrill screams stopped. “Are you finished?” you asked.
“What the actual fuck!” she exclaimed. “This is just like that trope that everyone loves on Twitter.” She clicked her fingers impatiently, trying to remember. “Enemies to lovers!”
You scoffed immediately. “Please, Keeley, you’re making me feel a bit ill. It’s nothing like that. And besides…” You fiddled with your fingernails. “Roy and I would definitely be enemies to friends to lovers, first,” you added quickly. Keeley squealed again, and you winced once more. “Okay, okay!” you yelled. “Back on track. I need an outfit, and I desperately need your help.”
“Lunch break, tomorrow. I’ll pick you up,” she said, and you couldn’t help but smile. “This one’s on me, too, babes. I know MA students aren’t exactly dripping in gold.”
You sighed, but you couldn’t help the warm pang that raced through your chest. You really had some great people around you. A month into this placement and it had already exceeded your expectations. Even Rebecca had started warming to you, of all people.
“Thanks, Keeley,” you said genuinely. You could practically feel her golden smile radiating through the phone.
You worked non-stop the next morning, too anxious to stop for even a second. Right before lunch, Rebecca made an unexpected visit to your office. You were mid sip of a cup of tea, and almost choked on it when she knocked on your door and popped her head around the frame.
“Oh, sorry, have I caught you at a bad time?” she said, and you forced yourself to swallow.
You shook your head quickly, panicking. “No,” you croaked, then cleared your throat. “No,” you said, normally. “What can I do for you, Rebecca?”
“Well, I assume you read Trent Crimm’s article about Ted in the Independent,” she said, stepping inside and sitting opposite you. She crossed her legs, and for a moment you were mesmerised at how long her legs actually were.
“Yes, yes I did,” you said, looking at her face, finally. “It was a great article, one that showed off Ted’s true colours, I felt.”
Rebecca’s face flattened slightly. “Yes. Brilliant, wasn’t it. Anyway– I was wondering if you could write something about me.”
You froze, overcome by the overexcited beat of your heart. “Oh?” you managed to get out.
“Nothing major,” Rebecca said, waving at you with reassurance. “Just something for the website, nothing for the tabloids, you know. We all know what they write about me, already.” She fiddled with her perfectly done manicure as she spoke, before she cleared her throat and looked back up at you. “I just thought it might be a nice idea, since my name has been in every paper for months now, having something to do with the club instead of my failed marriage, is all.”
You sighed at her warmly, relaxing finally. “I’d love to write something for you, Rebecca,” you said with a smile. “Though, I’m not really an article writer, just as a warning. More fiction, more novels.”
“I thought your player profiles on the website were incredibly well written,” she said plainly.
Your eyes widened, and she mimicked you, but with a smile on her face all the same. “Oh, thank you,” you let out. “I’ll do it, then!” you agreed.
Rebecca smiled. “Fantastic!” She matched your energy. You shared a few peaceful moments together, which you latched onto after her aversion to you in the very beginning, but you were cut off when you looked at the time.
“Oh, fuck,” you muttered, grabbing your bag quicky. “Sorry, Rebecca. I actually have lunch plans for once.”
Rebecca followed you in standing. “Oh? A date?”
You scoffed. “No, no. Keeley is taking me shopping before the charity ball.”
“Oh, fuck!” Rebecca exclaimed abruptly, making you jump. “I didn’t invite you, did I? Oh, fucking hell, I’m so sorry, darling.”
“It’s okay!” you reassured her, as the two of you left your office. “Roy’s taking me as his plus one, so it’s no trouble anyway.”
Rebecca stopped in the hallway. “Roy’s taking you as his plus one?”
You stared at her bluntly, overly annoyed about the reaction that that simple sentence had garnered over the past few days. You fucking wished Roy had asked you in private, for fucks sake.
“Yes,” you said plainly, annoyed.
Rebecca was taken aback by your bluntness. “Oh. Well, how lovely,” she said.
“I desperately need an outfit, and Keeley is my only hope,” you continued, heading up the stairs to the second floor together.
“Oh, well, now that you’ve said it actually, could I join you?” Rebecca asked. You flicked your gaze onto her, noting the soft way her brows were furrowed in question. You weren’t used to her being so adamant to actually hang out with you, but you weren’t about to exclude her.
“Of course!” you said. “I’m meeting Keeley in the car park, I’ll tell her to wait for you.”
Rebecca nodded in thanks, as the two of you parted ways on the final step. You headed towards the car park to the right, while she sped in her heels to the left, all the way down the corridor and up the stairs, to grab her bag from her office.
Your lunch break turned into a lunch day, but Rebecca didn’t seem to give a shit. The three of you went into several different fashion establishments, none of which you’d fucking heard of. Keeley asked you what you wanted, and what ‘vibe’ fit you, but you had no fucking clue. You’d been in the football world for a month, and you’d already had to branch out and act like someone from a much higher tax bracket. It was exhausting.
As you changed in a dressing room for the thousandth time, Keeley and Rebecca poured all of you a glass of complimentary champagne. You struggled with the straps of this latest number– some sci-fi looking dress where you looked more like a Dalek than a princess.
“How are you getting on in there?” Rebecca yelled from behind the curtain.
“I’m–” You struggled to zip yourself up, feeling like nothing but a sack of tomatoes under some tarp than someone remotely attractive. “I’m… trying. But, this one doesn’t feel like it’s for me!” you yelled back.
“Hmm.” Keeley hummed, standing up and downing her drink. She placed the glass down and headed towards a new rack, full of black jumpsuits. “What’s Roy’s favourite colour?”
“Black!” you and Rebecca yelled simultaneously. “But, we’re not matching or anything,” you added. “He just got me an invite to the ball itself, it’s not a date situation.”
“Isn’t he picking you up?” Rebecca asked.
You shoved your head out of the dressing room, flustered. “That was his idea. It wasn’t up to me.”
“So, maybe he thinks it’s a date, but you don’t,” Rebecca suggested.
You let out a frustrated huff. “God, can we just– not– talk about Roy for once? It’s been constant today, ever since he announced it in the locker room. It’s deeply annoying.”
Keeley grabbed a jumpsuit off the rack, bringing it over to the dressing room. “I don’t know, babe. Seems to me like you’re the one who’s pissed about it all. It’s just a bit fun, ain’t it?”
“Exactly!” you yelled, sticking your hand out to grab the garment from her. “Which is why I hate how much everyone is overreacting about it.”
“Who’s overreacting about it?” Keeley asked.
You stuck your head out of the curtain again, red in the face. “You squealed at me down the phone, Keeley! And Rebecca, you yelled in the hallway! I called my mother last night and she started crying when I told her.”
Rebecca and Keeley winced at you. “Sorry,” Keeley said.
“Apologies,” Rebecca added. “It’s just that, well, I don’t think anyone ever expects Roy to actually be a gentleman.”
You slipped on the jumpsuit that Keeley handed you, and looked at yourself in the mirror afterwards. To your surprise, it was good. It reminded you of the jumpsuit from Fleabag, a bit of cleavage shown off, just to make it sweet.
“I don’t get that,” you started, ruffling up your hair into something semi-presentable. “Roy is a bit of a gentleman. He went to my lecturer and explained that he’d been an arsehole, and ultimately got me the grade I deserved. He drove me home a few weeks ago, too. And, yeah, he gave up his plus one spot for me which was… sort of sweet, I suppose” You twisted yourself in the mirror, happy with the reflection you saw.
You pulled open the curtain and stepped out of the dressing room. “So, yeah, I’d say he is a gentleman.” You turned to Keeley and Rebecca, and both of them were frozen to their spots. You were taken aback by their wide-eyed and open mouthed expressions. “What… is it too much?” you asked, peering down at your body.
“It’s perfect,” Rebecca said, in awe of you.
“I think Roy fancies you,” Keeley said, biting at her fake nails.
You let out a colossal sigh, turning around to look at yourself in the mirror again. You couldn’t be bothered to keep looking, not when you felt great in something you’d tried on, finally. You had Rebecca’s seal of approval, too, which was absolutely good enough for you.
“This is the one,” you said, turning to the retail worker. “I’ll take it.”
By Friday, things had settled down. If it weren’t for your stern glares at the guys when they teased you, then they would have only continued, but you made yourself clear. You didn’t want to be hassled about this, and you definitely knew that Roy wouldn’t want it, either. You suspected he was already regretting his choice to bring you along with him.
Despite your clear annoyance over the past few days, the atmosphere at the Dogtrack was nothing but great. Training had gone well, with Ted and Beard finally making progress with the team. Rebecca had eased up even more, actually inviting you to join her for lunch the day after she helped you pick your ball attire. On Thursday, you played Cluedo with Higgins, and on Friday, you walked in on the coaches during one of their… special meetings.
You were alerted to them from the abrupt barking, but the noises were unmistakably coming from humans instead of dogs. Hearing the noise all the way from your office, you made your way down the corridor to the locker room. You kept close to the wall as you entered, knowing that Ted and Beard were in the manager’s office, but they weren’t alone. Higgins and Nate were with them, too, and it seemed that all of them had contributed towards the various barks.
“Well, gentlemen, it seems all of us have our wits about us this time around,” Ted announced, in his classic southern drawl.
“Ah, ah, ah, wait,” Higgins added. “I know we formed this group for the balance of men having each other’s backs emotionally, but does that stop us from expanding?”
“Expanding?” Nate asked.
“Further afield,” Higgins said. “You know, like gossiping.”
Ted and Beard gasped. “Well, Higgins, that might just stir a pot that doesn’t need stirring. The kind that your mom stands over the stove with for hours, you know? And as soon as she takes a break, and tells you not to touch it, what do you do? You touch it. And whatever custard or queso or sauce she’s making curdles.”
Higgins deflated a little. “I guess you’re right.”
There was a moment of silence, before Ted perked up again. “But, just because of the unhelped curiosity of man, what was it that you wanted to expand upon?”
You leaned against the wall outside, right next to the manager’s door. You knew it was wrong, but you couldn’t stop listening. It was infectious and impossible not to want more. Slowly, you leaned even closer.
Higgins cleared his throat. “There is a rumour circulating these halls…” You held your breath, wondering what tea was about to be spilled. “Roy Kent’s plus one for the charity ball has been filled.”
Ted, Beard and Nate all gasped. All semblance of cool that you had turned red immediately.
Without hesitation, you stomped your boots upon the ground like a spoiled child. “Fucks sake!” you yelled suddenly, before you quickly revealed yourself in the manager’s office doorway. The men inside looked immediately shaken, clutching onto their hearts like they were scared they’d jump out of their chests. You huffed from frustration. “It’s not a big deal!”
“Oh, hey!” Ted exclaimed, taking his hand away from his heart. “God, you gave us one heck of a fright.”
“Are you Roy’s plus one?” Higgins returned to the conversation at hand.
You leaned against the doorway, defeated. “Yes. And at this point, I wish I fucking wasn’t.”
“Hey now,” Ted said gently. “Is this what this rumour is, huh? That you’re Roy’s date to the charity ball?”
You shrugged. “It’s been constant this week. I’m surprised you all didn’t hear about it sooner, to be honest.”
“I did,” Beard chimed in. All eyes in the room fell on him, but he didn’t elaborate.
“Great,” you said plainly, before you turned back to the others. “It’s not like it’s a huge thing, or something so out there that it should be discussed. I feel like everyone’s been, I don’t know, whispering about it over the past few days. Keeley squealed at me. Rebecca yelled in my face. My own mother cried.”
All the men in the room winced in unison.
“Can I be completely honest with you all?” you asked suddenly, and as if on cue all the guys stood up straight. Immediately, they started making barking noises and whimpering like dogs, as if they were a gaggle of drama students. “Jesus fucking Christ,” you muttered in response.
“This is a safe space. Speak your mind as much as you wish,” Ted explained.
“Well,” you started, letting out a stress filled sigh. “First of all, he asked me in front of the entire locker room. From the get-go it’s been made out to be a bigger thing than it needed to be, you know? And after that, everyone started acting like it was huge! Like it was so out there that Roy fucking Kent asked the bloody social placement, of all people, to go with him to the charity ball. Rebecca said that it’s because no one expects Roy to be a gentleman, but I know he is one, so that doesn’t exactly make sense to me.”
“So, what you’re saying is, it makes it seem like it’s a huge deal because it’s you and him, instead of just him?” Nate offered.
You widened your eyes at him, nodding in agreement. “Exactly that. It just… makes me feel a bit shit. Like I wasn’t an option that anyone would expect him to pick. Which is fucking stupid because, God, it’s really not a big deal.”
“It’s been blown out of proportion, you mean?” Higgins asked.
You nodded again. “Massively.”
“And that’s frustrating you because it makes you feel judged?” Ted joined in.
You nodded again. “Yep.”
The room fell silent for a moment. It was almost suffocating, alongside the stares of four pairs of eyes landing on you all at once. You felt like a child, it was true, but you couldn’t deny how much this entire ordeal had got to you. You wished people would leave it, wished they’d stop fucking talking about it like it was some huge revelation.
Beard cleared his throat. “You need to fucking own it.”
You snapped your stare onto him instantly. “Excuse me?”
“Own it!” he exclaimed again. “If this is really bothering you, don’t let people know that you care. Stomping your feet about it and getting flustered will only perpetuate their reactions.”
“Are you really saying that my mother crying to me is my fault?”
Ted took the reins. “Not that.” He shook his head. “That’s all on her.”
“When you show up tonight next to Roy, act like you belong there,” Beard continued, leaning forward in his chair to look at you fully. “Because you do belong. You’re part of this club, and the guys all wanted you at the ball in the first place. Don’t let them rattle you.”
You furrowed your brows at him. “How do you know all this?”
Beard leaned back, propping his legs up on the desk casually. “I was in here when Roy asked you to be his date.”
“Ahaaa, so it is a date,” Higgins said, but was promptly shut down by all sets of eyes glaring at him to oblivion. “Sorry. Gossiping is an addiction that I cannot seem to shake, no matter how hard I try.”
“So, I should own it?” You kept the conversation on track. Beard, Ted and Nate all nodded in agreement. “Okay, yeah. You’re right. Fuck it all, right? I’m part of this team, and I deserve Roy Kent’s plus one the same as anyone else.”
“That’s it!” Ted exclaimed, before turning to the rest of the guys. “Well, that was another successful visitor pass discussion. Diamond Dogs, out!” The four of them all went back to barking like dogs, only made worse by Ted and Nate sticking out their tongues, as if they were lapping up water.
“Okay, I’m leaving,” you said quickly, immediately turning on your heels to get the fuck out of there.
As you walked back to your office, you took their advice on board. Was it really that simple, just to own it? Act like you belonged, act like it was just another normal fucking day at AFC Richmond? You sighed when you reached your door, knocking your knuckles against the wood of the door frame. It was sturdy, same as the rest of the stadium walls and floors, and you would be, too.
You wouldn’t let this ball phase you, wouldn’t freak out about the guys’ reactions, about Keeley and Rebecca’s, and certainly not your fucking mother’s. You’d be hard as nails when you got into Roy Kent’s Jeep, as the two of you pulled up to the venue. You’d smile for the cameras, be comfortable on Roy’s arm as you walked in, and have a brilliant fucking night.
Nothing would go wrong. Nothing.
Roy pulled up outside your door and honked his horn once, twice, three times. He figured that would be enough to get your attention. He fiddled with his tie as he sat behind the wheel, tapping his car's leather interior as he waited for you to open your front door and jump into the passenger seat next to him.
Little did he know, but you’d made the unwise decision to Google the Richmond charity ball while you were getting ready, only to see the prestigious guestlist. It was celebrities galore, millionaires, billionaires, but no MA students who’d been shoved into the club as a last resort. You took back everything you’d said about feeling bad about being Roy’s plus one– you weren’t one of these people, and that was fucking adament by the hoards of paparazzi, and thousands of pounds donated.
Roy honked his horn again, and you flinched on the floor of your bathroom. You leaned against the door, trying and failing to calm down the anxiety that raced within your bones. Roy honked again, and you found yourself groaning. “I can hear you, Roy!” you yelled, knowing that he couldn’t hear you back. “Fucks sake.” You fumbled as you grabbed your phone from beside the sink.
You unlocked it and went to texts, putting in Roy’s name at the top. Your eyes skimmed the last message you sent– the one about your assignment. You still had no idea if he had you blocked, or if other circumstances had kept him away from his phone at that time, but that didn’t stop you from texting him now.
Having a fucking nervy-b. Two minutes.
Roy’s phone pinged suddenly, and he shuffled it out of his inside jacket pocket. It was an unsaved number, but he knew it was you as soon as he opened the message up. Not just from the timings, but from the previous message that he didn’t recall getting at all.
This was for my degree, my first assignment is due on Sunday. It’ll be incomplete without you.
Roy’s eyes widened. “Fuuuuuuck,” he let out coarsely. He reread both messages, over and over again, before he made the decision to kill his engine.
He jumped out of his Jeep, slamming the driver’s side door shut behind him. He hopped onto the pavement and climbed the steps to your front door. He didn’t hesitate knocking with his knuckles, loudly. The banging reverberated throughout your ground floor flat, startling you as you sat in the bathroom. When the banging didn’t stop, you let out another frustrated groan. You had no choice but to let him in, and get over this small mishap that had got you so inside your own head.
You shuffled your way to your front door and clicked the intercom that came with it. “Can I help you?”
“What the fuck is a nervy-b?” Roy replied through the static.
You bonked your head down against your front door, hating yourself for ever writing a message without thinking. “I’m– it’s–” you stuttered, but there was no good way to say it. “Just come in. I’ll be ready soon.” You buzzed him in, and Roy entered through the main door into your building. From there, you unlatched the lock on your front door and kicked it open for him, before retreating to the comfort of your kitchen.
Roy closed the door behind him, breathing in deeply as he took in his surroundings. Your flat was dainty, but oddly comforting. It reminded him of the flat he had when he first joined Chelsea, all those years before. Albeit, yours was certainly cleaner and tidier, but it still left him with a fond feeling. He stepped further inside, catching a glimpse of you in the kitchen to the right.
“Hey,” he let out, crossing the threshold to approach you. “You alright?” he asked.
You leaned against the counter top, shoulders high and tense, with your back turned to him. “I’m good.” You lied.
Roy arched his brow at you. “I’m not quite sure I believe you.”
“It’s fine!” you exclaimed, before you finally turned to him. “Beard said to own it, so that’s exactly what I’m going to fucking do. None of it fucking matters anyway!”
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Roy took a step closer.
“This! I mean, I’m not a celebrity, I know fuck all about football, and had to get Keeley to help me pick out this fucking outfit, but I’m still going to own it.” You wondered, if you kept lying to yourself, would it finally stick? “Right?” you asked Roy.
He raised his hands slowly, gently. “I finally understand the meaning of nervy-b,” he said lowly.
You furrowed your brows at him in gentle pleading, before you dropped your head into your hands. “I fucking hate Google,” you said, your voice muffled through your fingers.
Roy took a moment to regard you, finally understanding what it was that was getting to you. He could understand why. As a professional footballer himself, a showboater, a performer, he hated being in the public eye when he didn’t have to be. He preferred to be left alone, staying far away from PR deals and interviews. He could relate to what you were feeling, despite all the years he’d had to get used to it.
Slowly, he stepped towards you. He brought his hands forward and grabbed your wrists gently, pulling them away from your face. When you peered up at him, it was like a chunk of his lung fell into the depths of his stomach. You were terrified, and Roy had no fucking clue how to make it better.
“If Beard said to own it, then own it,” Roy said gently. “If it makes you feel any better, I fucking hate events like this.”
You sniffed. “You do?”
Roy nodded. “But, it’s a necessary part of the job. By now, though, paparazzi know that I don’t give a fuck about them. They piss me off, so I know how it feels.” His eyes flicked over your face, trying to seek out the right words to say. “About the celebrities, though. Well, I’m a fucking celebrity, aren’t I?”
You scoffed abruptly, taking yourself and Roy by surprise. “Sorry,” you said quickly.
“See? It’s funny when I say it, right? Because we work together, and you thought I was the fcuking caretaker last month.”
“I’m still sorry about that,” you whispered.
“This is what I mean. The word celebrity makes it all the more scary and shit,” Roy continued. “You know all the guys at the club, and they fucking worship you. It’s a bit fucking weird sometimes.”
You laughed properly then, as Roy’s words started to sink into your skull. “Yeah. Yeah, you’re right,” you said, breathing in deeply, and exhaling slowly.
Roy removed his grasp from you and took a step back. “Fucking own it.” He settled on, giving you a once over with his dark eyes.
You let out a shaky breath, expelling as much of your anxiety from your body as you possibly could. You stood up straight, shaking out your limbs. “Okay,” you muttered to yourself, before you headed off towards the bathroom, again.
You worked fast, calmly, to clean yourself up. Roy let himself out and leaned against the hood of his car, the same way you had in the car park a few weeks prior. When you walked out of your flat, shutting the door behind you, you were like a completely different person. No longer were the nerves and anxiety eating you alive. You’d been replaced by someone that knew her worth, someone who stood up tall and proud in her pair of platforms. Someone who, certainly, was going to get cold by the evening, but didn’t factor in a jacket of any kind when picking out this fucking outfit, so she had nothing.
Roy tugged open the passenger side door for you. You muttered a thank you at him, before you both got comfortable in his Jeep. Roy stuck the keys in the ignition, but turned to you before he switched on the engine.
“Ready?” he asked, just double checking.
You nodded. “Let’s fucking get this over with.”
“That’s the fucking spirit.” Roy started the engine, and you were off.

Russian-speaking sites steal my Skyrim plugins.❗❗❗ Without specifying my authorship, without reference to the source, without my permission. It's just a fact of the brazen behavior of people for whom there is no such thing as copyright.

I'm not going to keep quiet about such things. For those who do not understand, creating a plugin is a hard work that requires skills, imagination and inspiration. PART 1: OBLIVION
" I never walk about after dark, It's my point of view
'Cause someone could break your neck, coming up behind you
Always coming and you'd never have a clue"

“UNIVERSITY OF KYOTO TAKES THE WIN FROM UTOKYO, 54-22!”
The stadium sighs in unison. Few UKyoto fans who are scattered around the stands cheer loudly. Another lost basketball game for the University of Tokyo. The exits start flooding with students, disappointed in the outcome and wanting to leave as quickly as possible.
Yn stayed in her seat at the back of the stands and finished her report. She drags her pen across the paper, trying to fabricate some interesting way to say the UTokyo basketball team absolutely sucks, and are 0-8 for the season so far. She hates being assigned to sports. But its much better than reporting on the meal schedule. Her journalism class assignments are mundane to say the least. Losing sports, knocked over trash cans around campus, and late buses are all things she knows very well.
Yn takes her attention off of her notebook and onto the moping players. They huddle together at the end of the court, getting yelled at by their coach. She cringes at the insults coming out of his mouth. It is his job on the line, after all. Her focus shifts to one specific player being shunned by the rest of the team, number 11. Throughout the game he had been missing shots and overshooting passes. His green eyes gazed down at the wood gym floor, in what she thought would be shame, but instead it was something else. She couldn't quite place it, but he looked like he wasn't even there. Not in the moment, everything being shouted at him seemed to be going in one ear and out the other. Yn tries to find out his name, but fails and just settles for writing down his jersey number. She jots down a few notes about his appearance before shoving her notebook in her backpack and leaving the gym.
Yn steps outside to be met with an ill omen, the sunset. A warning to hurry home, she quickens her pace as she heads to her dorm. Although her university campus is deemed as protected, she can't help but be skeptical. A few months ago, a guy she slightly knew from one of her classes went missing on campus. He just vanished from school without a trace. Some people thought he was kidnapped, but police never really entertained the idea. Everyone just assumed he must have dropped out. Nobody ever heard from him again. She shudders at the eerie reminder of her exposure. It reminds her of the stories her older brother used to scare her with. How sinister things happen at night, people wander in the subways and look at you strange, and if you ever walk alone you'll go missing. She followed his directions blindly as a child, but as she got older she realized they were dramatized tales. Now though, she wonders if there was any truth to it. Yn shakes her head, not wanting to think about this kind of thing as she's traveling in the dark. Almost to her dorm, she takes a left and passes a utility pole scattered with advertisements and stickers. School clubs, basement shows, missing people, campus elections…
Missing people.
Yn backtracks to the pole to check what her eyes were telling her. She in fact finds a missing person poster, pinned front and center. A girl about her age is staring right into her eyes. Something about it makes her feel sick to her stomach. The girl's smile is innocent and unknowing. She's frozen in time and has no idea what's happened to her. Yn studies the page closer.
Tumblr media
Alisa Haiba. Her eyes are green and her hair is a muted shade of blonde. She's pretty. Too pretty to be missing. Yn notices at the bottom of the page a phone number of someone named Lev Haiba, and to call them with any information of Alisa’s whereabouts.
‘Odd,’ she thinks to herself, ‘wouldn't you call the police with something like this?’.
Although thousands of people go missing in Japan every year, something feels different about her. Yn can almost feel her asking for help. An unsettling feeling is creeping up her shoulders and neck as she stares at the printed page. The sun is no longer visible and there is only a tint of brightness in the night sky. Torn, yn decides to rip the poster down and shove it in her notebook. She doesn't really know what she's supposed to do, but she feels obligated to do something.
She whips her head around to check if anyone is nearby, and books it for her dorm. She makes sure the blinds are closed and the door is locked before slumping on her bed and pulling out her phone.

Mariona had the opportunity to leave like a Barça legend and instead she chose to not say anything condemning her to "oblivion". You had Paños' example and decided to do so wrong.
i'm sorry, but that's bullshit and you sound like all the toxic twitter culers who are talking crap about mariona now. mind you, they are the same twitter users who said bad things about engen when she was renewed and threw shade at alexia for the last year too. 🙄
paños is at the end of her career and she's going to mexico because she's lost her place at barça and on the national team. mario is at a much different place in her career, and obviously the negotiations have been ongoing and not confirmed. paños was always going to leave, but mariona's position was more in flux, and you don't announce you are leaving until the ink is dry, just like why alexia waited so long herself.

absolutely. she's given 10 years of her life to this club and has won everything imaginable. so then your mind has to turn to then personal aspect of her life.
her best friends at the club have left/are leaving the club or have their own families (amc, paños, irene)
her partner lives in a different country and she's tired of the long distance thing, especially hard when almost all of her teammates are dating other teammates or locals in bcn as significant others
she's at the point of her career when she needs to think about financial security and planning. she's not the marketable player like alexia and aitana and isn't getting the same number of brand deals and sponsorships. it's common knowledge that she will make more money in wsl (and other leagues tbh) and may have access to more deals that way too. nothing wrong with that.

psa: call me a cranky millennial but that bird app brings out the worst takes, and you are right to delete it. it's a bunch of hypocrites who speak nicely about a player one day, only to be rude and disgusting to the same player the next month. i have muted or blocked so many of them, and only keep it to access the journalists and fcb official accounts.
i have spoken at length about the lieke situation, which was completely different, to the point that cgh even said her leaving was fake news. not the same by any stretch because we have known that mario may be leaving for months.
what paños did was a great move by her, but it's not the norm and you can't expect all players to act the same! and we complain about how the barça management treat legends but some fans are no better. and yes, the season is NOT OVER. there is still a home match on 9 june.
listen, i love my culer fanbase but some of them need to stfu!

Okay midnight thots.
What if you married an old rich man because you had to pay your mother's medical bills and that was the only and quickest way. He's arrogant, not hot and the sex is😒 but he thrives in showing you off, because you're his trophy wife.
One day you go to a party and the CEO is there Steve Rogers and you catch his eyes. He trys to ask you out on a date but your sucky husbands appears and Steve is seething that such a pretty girl like you is married to that old hag.
He silently glares at your husband for the entirety of the party but a plan forms in his mind.
He intoxicates your husband to the point of oblivion and makes him bet you as in a game of poker and of course, your husband loose you to Steve. Your husband doesn't remember anything but Steve does and he comes to collect his prize next morning and you open the door in nothing but a towel wrapped around you.
Ahh, I'm pmsing and horny.
What if we raise the stakes and have your husband sober. Because Steve isn't just some CEO, hes very influential, very powerful and your husband is a greedy man who craves to have at least one ten of that power - hence having a trophy wife like you, going to such parties, spending money on things he can't really afford fully.
So when Steve Rogers, THE Steve Rogers, invites your husband and you to join him at the private poker table where only the biggest sharks or elites sit with him, of course your husband agrees. You simply hope he loses quick and you get to go home, after enjoying some free drinks.
Steve seemingly focuses solely on the game, but there are moments when you feel his gaze upon you. It flatters you, it tempts you, but whenever you look up at him his eyes are cast at his cards.
At first your husband manages fine, he starts to preen when the other players (few levels above him in any sense) politely chit chat with him about his business and so on. But then he starts losing. Right when the stakes start getting really high. You recognize the hard set in his jaw, knowing he's getting annoyed and close to that stupid, immature outburst of wanting something even if it kills him. He keeps betting and raising, and you're starting to get nervous, because you know that as wealthy as he is there are still limits to what he can offer at this table.
He loses big time. And now you're really worried too.
Your husband starts stuttering about assets he will move from his other account first thing next morning, making promises of deals he can offer to give Steve future profit. Steve glares at him very much unimpressed and uninterested in lame excuses.
"How about you?" His gaze now settles on you. "How much did the old prick pay for gaining you inclusively?"
Your husband tries to chime in, but Steve sends him one look that shuts him up.
Embarrassed now that it was brought to public, you swallow hard and say how much all the bills for your mother's treatment cost and her current place in a very nice care home.
"That's still less than what he owes me now. And you are far more worthy." Steve's eyes rake up and down your body then swiftly return to your husband.
"You will sign divorce papers first thing tomorrow morning and send off any of her personal belongings to the address my people will provide you." He declares. "Then I will consider your debt paid."

GET TO KNOW THE MUN. respond to the prompts out of character !
what made you pick up the current muse(s) you have? oh, where do i even begin?  well, i suppose i should start with how long sw has been in my life.  ANH was the first movie my mother ever saw when she visited the USA; she saw it with my grandmother ( and subsequently developed a massive crush on harrison, so indiana jones became a huge part of my childhood too lol ).  for this reason, my mother introduced my brother and I to sw when we were actual babies.  then, when the prequels came out, it’s all me and my brother consumed.  from the movies themselves to the original clone wars cartoon to the PS2 games to the novels/book series.  we watched it on a tiny portable player for every trip, and every time my relatives needed us to go away to let the adults talk lol.  it also helped our comprehension of english so much. i can’t recall a time in which sw hasn’t been present in my life! before i joined the tumblr swrpc, i kept to myself in the prequels community, wrote fanfic, and rped anakin on skype.  he’s always been a character that hit a little too close to home in one too many ways.  the main parallel i have with him (that doesn’t relate to his mental issues haha) is his love/devotion/attachment to his mother.  it’s difficult for me to explain without getting into the aspects of my culture (孝順 / filial piety), but in short, i am cantonese; if my mother asked me for my thumb tomorrow, i would give her my arm today.  anakin’s love for his mother, his determination to free her from slavery at an early age, was very touching.  EPII has been memed to oblivion, yes, but the pain i feel when anakin doesn’t get to hear his mother tell him she loves him one last time before she dies, and knowing that it haunts him for the rest of his life (eu), makes me want to throw myself out a window lmao  i have an extremely close relationship with my parents; this sort of pain is absolutely gutting for someone like me. anyway, when i joined the tumblr swrpc, writing han solo was never the plan.  i originally wanted to write luke but ended up changing my mind at the last second.  I’d written well over a dozen fics with han at that point, but was nowhere near confident, so i thought of it as more of an experiment. guess that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things, because if you really think about it, since the day i started writing him in fics, he hasn’t stopped butting into my brain.  in fact, he’s been harassing me ever since—to the point that i even switched from writing luke to him… lol given my upbringing and my mother’s love for him, han has always been my childhood hero, as well as my brother’s.  our dad was our han solo.  the nostalgic and familial associations run so deep, it’s difficult to articulate.  we share many traits, right down to his universally agreed-upon zodiac sign (sagittarius); i know han solo like the back of my hand—and it’s probably because i wanted to be just like him when i grew up.
is there anything you don’t like to write? character death.  if i have to say another, it’s when people conflate harrison with the character he plays and then decides to address that in a thread.  harrison was a ladies man back in the 80s, and that’s fine, but that doesn’t mean the same for han.  i hate seeing the conflation between the two.  not sure if this happens as often anymore, but there was a time when fics/threads/even han rpers would lean into it, by default, thus totally destroying his character in my eyes.  i mean, write it as a storyline, that’s cool and fine, but infidelity has never been inherently part of his character.  i will die on this fucking hill.
is there anything you really enjoy writing? most unpopular opinion ever: action sequences.  critical situations, fast paced action, thriller scenes featuring immediate, life-threatening circumstances.  i love writing that which exhibits a sense of urgency and tension, with sprinklings of emotional depth and contemplative introspective moments.  scenes with internal conflict combined with aforementioned external events.  even evading enemy forces, sustaining minor/major injuries, dressing wounds.  dunno why those are always the most fun to me.  aside from that?  romance/romantic angst.  i’ve had many writing partners over the years, and each one thought they could outdo me in writing romantic angst.  sometimes, the psychosomatic pain of heartbreak isn’t far from feeling like you’ve lost a limb in battle.
how do you come up with headcanons? by being the most annoying, meticulous person ever.  i’m extremely detail oriented; when i see incongruities in my own work, i perish.  so, when i come up with headcanons, i have to consider all factors that may affect the outcome of whatever question i’ve posed in my mind and feel the need to justify my choices, for whatever reason, by tying it back to XYZ.  my headcanons must align with my muse’s personality, their environment from childhood to adulthood, their current circumstances, and if it’s an AU, how it mirrors canon events.  canon/eu is everything imo, because they are their own choices; it’s what shaped them into the character we know them as.  ofc, this is my process and opinion, so make of that what you will.
do you write in silence or do you play music? no music, no tv.  sometimes people talking is too much for me.  i have adhd and my medication only helps so much.  i will absolutely start writing down the conversation or lyrics playing in the background lol
do you plan your replies or wing them? plotting vs planning replies is different to me.  plotting gives me a foundation, but it can’t be too confining.  to plan a reply is to block out each moment.  if you trap me, i will always deviate; so i wing everything, even when i have a foundation.
do you enjoy shipping? yes, absolutely!  i’m not sure why people tend to assume otherwise, but i’m more open to it than people think.  i’ve never cared about who you write, if they’re in the sw franchise, or even what era of sw etc etc  never given a shit about what people think; if our muses click, they click.  honestly, some of the best ships i’ve had with han, as in the most enjoyable and enlightening of his character, have been ‘crack ships’.
what’s your alias/name? vin, vince, vincent.  vincent van hoe.  trash bin vin.
age? 27!
birthday? dec 2!
favorite color? silver.  if that’s not a color to you, then blue.
favorite song? you can’t expect me to… well, ‘in your eyes’ by the weeknd has been up there for a long time.
last movie you watched? star wars: the clone wars (2008)
last show you watched? … the clone wars lol
last song you listened to? billie jean - MJ.
favorite food? my mother’s 番茄炒蛋 ( egg and tomato stir fry ), unagi, freshly baked breads, fresh fruit …
favorite season? i get mostly tropical weather, but i love a cold winter.
do you have a tumblr best friend? unfortunately, so many people have left the site over the years, but i'm grateful to call these people some of the closest friends i have in the rpc: @techniiciian @desiccation @vibraea @rcvanchist @sgterso @voxcrystallis
tagged : @debelltio thank you for thinking of me!! tagging : if you're still reading this, i tag you!
