DOUG STEALS KONG'S LUNCH LOL. He's even so smug about it when Kong relents and lets him have it.

Mothra is so much fluffier this time around! Love how when she breaks up Godzilla and Kong's fight she's almost SCOLDING Goji lol. "Goji! Stop bullying the poor monkey!" "S..sorry, dear..." Jia seems to be her main priestess now tho? Whatever happened to the twin scientists from KOTM? I hope they aren't entirely forgotten and replaced. Maybe they can return as Jia's guides.

Shimo is adorable. I'm glad she got a happy ending and some neck scratches from Kong. Big huggable lizard-horse-kitty.

Suko saves the day by retrieving Kong's axe? Huh. That lil kid pulled his weight a lot more than I'd expected to. Also love his mean streak at the start, he and Kong bickered a lot at first.

And of course, Skar King's very very karmic and brutal demise. I can only imagine the state of him (and Rio de Janeiro's streets) when those ice chunks finally thaw out. Good luck with the cleanup, Monarch.

I think Mothra suddenly becoming an Iwi protector is because supposedly there was going to be another Original MonsterVerse Monster called Phosphora or some-such, but it wasn't well received by test audiences or something so it got reworked into Mothra. I could be misremembering, but that's what I remember hearing. Which is funny, because if memory serves correctly the KOTM end credits hinted at Mothra having already laid an egg before the Boston battle, so... retcon?

I'm really glad Shimo survived the movie, I felt so bad for her being under Skar King's pain control and how she visibly resists him throughout. Even her roars sounded pained. It was really sweet seeing the look in her eyes when the surface world sky is being cleared up, like if she's the source of the last Ice Age then it's been literally thousands upon thousands of years since she's last seen a sky like ours. Hoping we see her again in another movie!

Holy shit, Suko's introduction scene got SO MUCH FUNNIER when he goes from "i'm baby" to biting Kong's finger to being used as a BLUDGEONING WEAPON BY KONG. Suko really chugged that character development juice.

I feel vindicated for not once underestimating Skar King, because he is the most vile MonsterVerse... uh, monster villain we've gotten so far. Ghidorah was a sadistic son of a bitch and Mechagodzilla was a crazy Titan Terminator On Blue Rock Steroids, but Skar King has the heads of fellow Kongs stuck on pikes (presumably to set an example for anyone looking to challenge him), when he mocks Kong's new tooth most of the apes and especially Suko seem to laugh along out of fear, he straight up KICKS an ape into lava, and has actual sex slaves holding babies in his throne room, and you just KNOW they don't consent to what he does to them. On top of him controlling Shimo with pain and his attempts on Suko's life - and considering the number of red/orange-furred babies in the throne room, we can surmise that Suko is one of his own children - Skar King may not have the spectacle or scale Ghidorah had, but my god did it feel good seeing him go down.

Just watched godzilla x kong and whoo boy, it sure was a movie

Good one tho, i had a blast, it was so much fun

I did not expect the movie to be so violent though, like WHAT

We just have kong casually ripping apart a dog thingy, i forgot their names but mam are they ugly.

And then in skar kings lair, there were just 3 severed heads on spikes, like bro, chill, we know you're evil

Personally i always loved goji's new evolved or rather half-evolved form because that shit is done. Bro is literally malnourished so he will get his roundnesd back. I'm pretty sure his dorsal plates are also just straight up missing a layer of skin, like deer antlers probably, you could literally see veins in there, that shit's seethrough.

I absolutely ship berny and trapper, they were lovely. Obviously the humans are just plot devices but they were still character enough for me to enjoy. A lot actually, i really don't have anything bad to say here. A bit more of them would've probably even helped the movie because it kinda just rushes past you at a million miles an hour. That probably my only real critique point here, i just had so much fun :3

Another obvious plot device was mothra but just like the humans i did not care what so ever, i loved mothra, fucking slaayyyy QUEEN, HELL YEAH. She so pretty uwu

This whole thing was really a kong movie with godzilla just kind of there being fucking awsome and it was glorious!!!

I love kong so much, i wanna hug my baby. I also wanna pet shimo but that's besides the point. I really don't mind the beast glove, it's just a glorified bandage that just happens to Also boots his strength a little, it is not here to stay for long. He's probably gonna get rid of it by the time of the next movie and someone better call him King kong because my boy is now King now, hell yeah!!! He's gonna be so good for those poor apes down there, they suffered so much abuse at the hands of skar.

I heard some things that the next movie in the probably wingard trilogy will be more godzilla focused which, yes please, baby needs some characterization goddamn it. I'm not saying i don't like monsterverse goji, far from it, i love this overgrown lizard but his character is not explored as thoroughly as kong's was. He's got so much potential and i can't wait to see that and his finished evolution. See you guys in 2 or 3 years then for next one >^w^<

Lazy Mermaid's are scary to handle.

Imagining Grandmamah informing Ruby never under any circumstances approach a mermaid lazing around. Unfortunately Ruby would encounter a Mermaid somewhere in coastal beaches and would immediately coo at how mermaid was just casually snoozing.

When it wakes up it has this tired eyebag look in its eyes as it does that memorable seal meme of it saying "egg" or "n'gehh!" And looks at Ruby. Ruby tilts her head and immediately is attacked by the Mermaid who lunges at her and bites onto her.

Tho the Mermaid does not let go for a half hour before deciding to let go and go back to being lazy.

Oh and I saw anon's Mermaid nesting headcanon and thought how would Agatha and Grandmamah would react to this. Arthur and Brill are off trying to get Godzilla obviously.

Also, instead of the area fifty-something organisation... What about Monarch arriving to see the gillman's? Like do they help them with their situation in finding a place to live?

Also little mermaid's would give zero pineapples about the dangers of a Kraken possesses and would immediately use Ruby as a huge playground to swim Around.

I guess some of the Mermaid parents could trust this Kraken. She looks nice as she looks very scared to move in fear of hurting them due to her sheer size.

Oh and one last thing... who's the one who wears the pants in the relationship between Gojira and Grandmamah? And who's mostly the big spoon.

Monarch would probably be leagues better because for them the Gillmans are both intelligent beings and two of them can interact with titans unlike Monarch themselves. They wouldn't at all get the same treatment compared to Area Fifty-Something.

A;ljkasf Giant Ruby is just covered in lil mermaids who are exploring and playing around on her arms and legs and she's trying to be super duper careful not to hurt any of them by accident. Adorable.

I think they would wear it equally. Both of them can get the other to do something, back down, take charge. It just depends entirely on the situation at hand. I think Grandmamah would be the big spoon despite being shorter. Plus, it's only in the comfort of just him and Grandmamah where he allows himself to be the little spoon. Otherwise you'd never know it based on how they interact in public with both showing their command and taking charge equally.

I’ve just discovered that we Italians have a version of the first Godzilla that is a mix and match of the original Gojira, the American one and some real WWII footage (with real victims …)

It is also colorised in a VERY shitty way because the director Luigi Cozzi thought that people wouldn’t enjoy the film in b/w, so they recoloured the footage in a really poor way.

What a strange thing… They could’ve just dubbed one of the versions available, tho it’s really interesting what they did…

I’m really curious, I’m gonna watch it, there is a really bad version of it on YouTube (subbed in Eng) and a restored version (that looks much better and is not that bad) on the InternetArchive, which is only in Italian (but I think that it has a download with the Eng subs)

Reunion

You guys knew this was coming...

Gigan and Megalon! They really were best friends, even if Megalon wanted to be more than friends. Can Gigan tell? Megalon hopes not. They go on space-pirate adventures together through the cosmos; it’s a lot of fun! 

One day, when Megalon was feeling homesick, Gigan came to him and tried to convince him NOT to go back to Earth or his people. Not through force, but by revealing to Megalon that Gigan knew about his feelings and they could be together, forever as mates, if he stayed and continued working for him. 

It was the happiest night of Megalon’s life.

But their partnership doesn’t last long. They’re ambushed by a powerful space-police force and Gigan abandons Megalon to his fate.

While Megalon ultimately escaped capture by barricading himself underground, he has been trapped on this unknown planet for many, MANY years. He counted the days, each night spent watching the skies and wishing Gigan would return for him. But he never did. 

But one fateful night, a blue stranger approaches him.

He doesn’t recognize this stranger and goes on the defensive. But a scythe stops his blow and pushes his drill off to the side with surprising strength.

“Easy, Megalon,” Wait, they know his name? He stares frozen in shock as the stranger chuckled. “I come back for you and this is how you greet me?” He felt another touch on his cheek, surprisingly gentle.

“Who...?” The confusion was real. But...

“Take a wild guess, babe.”

Babe? Only one person ever called him that, and that was....

“Gigan?” Megalon asks tentatively, not wanting to get his hopes up only to have them crushed. The vague resemblance to his old friend, his old beloved, was there, but everything else looks so... He almost shivered, not from feeling a claw on his wing-cases, no. But from seeing the other kaiju nod in confirmation. “You... look different.”

“Is that a problem?” Gigan asked with a slight edge to his voice. Megalon would smile if he could.

“No. You look good.” 

But there was still an edge of doubt in Megalon’s mind. Was this really Gigan, coming back after who knows how many decades, centuries even, trapped on this unknown alien world, far from home?

He stepped closer, feeling those claws embrace him. His antennae touched this other kaiju’s shoulder and neck, picked up the scent. A very familiar scent.

This WAS Gigan. He came back for him after all! He just about burst into tears; he can finally get out of here, be with his beloved, and go back home! 

As he stayed embraced to the cyborg, rambling his happiness in words that might as well be gibberish, he doesn’t notice the dark smirk growing on Gigan’s beak.

You mentioned how Dagon, Gojira and the others reacted to Gamera, but how did they all react to other titans that was made by the humans? Such a Biollante, who was made with human, rose and titan DNA, and it's implied that the human and titan soul is battling each other in there (Biollante was actually the most peaceful foes of Gojira until she lost her rose/soul when she transformed or when she was attacked.), or what about Jet Jaguar, Kiryu, Moguera, Frankenstein, Kongzilla, and so on?

Well, in general? These guys would appear after the events of Atlantis Days' version of KOTM since well, their origins are set in the modern world. Anyway, the titans are more distrustful now as their numbers are dangerously low so I'm pretty sure they're not getting warm receptions, especially if some of them started out violently. Though, to be fair, once they prove themselves to not be a threat, or in Kiryu's case, someone familiar, they would be welcomed into the community though, I can't guarantee that everyone's gonna be accepting of them.

With specific titans, I'll list the ones I'm more familiar with:

Biollante

Honestly? Biollante just gets more pity and curiosity than distrust. Well, more curiosity, really but still. She's mostly accepted in since Goji and Mothra adopted her. Biollante's very happy with her new family now but she's still getting used to being a titan and she does miss her old life.

Kiryu

Okay, at first, Kiryu was greeted with hostility for attacking either Gojira or Ghidorah but once they found out who he really is? Well, how would you feel if someone brought your dad/father figure/friend back to life and he's not exactly have a good time as a robot? Yeah, that's what everyone felt. Rage, Fear and Grief. Pretty sure someone had to restrain someone from beating some humans up for it coughlikelyrodancough. Hell, the titans wanted to put Kiryu/Dagon out of his misery because of the weird techno-necromancy thing. Though, I haven't decided if Kiryu dies here or lives but I do know is that this isn't fun for everyone both emotionally and psychologically.

Jet Jaguar

Again, didn't get much of a warm reception, especially since at this point, the titans have a bad history with mechas. However, after helping Goji with fight against Gigan and Megalon? He managed to get some of Goji's trust and kinda Mothra's by extension. Though, JJ also helped the other titans out, even Ghidorah, who are very confused at the fact that a size shifting robot is helping them. Since then, he's more or less part of the community or at least, an honorary member of sorts. Whatever the case, he gets along with at least a good number of the titans there.

Aaaand, that's what I have for now. I might make some changes, especially once I do some more research. Meh, let's see.

Oh boy! Yeah, I can!

DRUNK ANAKIN:

Everyone can have whatever headcanons they want ok, I won't stop you, but this is mine lol

He is the LIGHTEST of lightweights

Look it's just something about being the Chosen One that makes him feel things Really Strongly, and said things include being super drawn to Weird Objects You Should Not Fucking Touch Ahhnakin, animal emotions and they feel his in return which causes him to nearly get his face bitten off way more than he likes, and ALCOHOLIC CONTENT. Goes to his head SUPER quickly

So yeah no matter how much he tries to build up a tolerance, Anakin can and will get drunk like, super easily, so he needs to watch himself

Of course, this is Anakin Skywalker, and we know he and impulse control don't exactly mix

So yeah he tends to get at least tipsy whenever he gets a drink

Now, Anakin doesn't drink too often, but if he's offered some on a mission, or if he sees Obi Wan doing it like, at all lmao, or the clones are going out to the bar, or if Padmé has some liquor to try, then yeah, he's gonna drink too

Generally the results depend on who he's with and how good they are at cutting him off if he decides he's not gonna watch himself

Anakin has like three stages of drunkenness

First stage is right when the drink starts kicking in. Then he's usually still Anakin, just Anakin in slow-motion. It takes him longer to register words that have been spoken to him, his words are drawn out ever so slightly, and there's a lot of slow blinking like a lazy cat who's been woken up from a sunbath. Don't try to get the drop on him though, somehow his reflexes are STILL sharp as ever

Then, that's when the second stage hits: the limited filter he possesses DISAPPEARS. Everything is pure and brutal honesty. You better not have a funny-looking face or he Will tell you so. He will mother hen poor Rex who looks like he doesn't eat enough apparently, and Obi Wan is subject to LOTS of pets and informing rants about how shiny his hair is, did you notice Obi Wan? Did you? It GLOWS. He'll tell shittier jokes than usual because in all honestly he thinks they're funny, and yeah, it's Anakin but Unfiltered

And then he gets quieter, finally, and you think he wants to sleep, but no, that's just stage three kicking in, and that is the melancholy. The depression. He REALLY should stop drinking now because now acknowledging the honesty means acknowledging all the hard truths (truths from his point of view, anyway) that he buries and hides from every day, and at this point he's too fuckin' lazy and wasted to get angry over them, so now he's just gonna lie there and let the entire angst wagon run him over and then mope about it

He's still talking though, and it is definitely at this point that whoever he's with will finally cut him off and figure out a way to get him back to a bed to sleep because this is sad and sad Anakin is like a kicked puppy if the puppy was the size of Godzilla and still had atomic breath

At this point he very much does prefer to be carried places-- when he's gone and gotten himself drunk for stupid reasons Padmé can and will create a makeshift sled out of fabric and drag his whiny ass off because unlike Obi Wan or one of the clones or even Ahsoka who can all pick him up, she unfortunately cannot --and Obi Wan always makes sure to rest his head over his shoulder-- firstly because in this position his stomach is less likely to expel its contents and secondly because it makes both of them feel some kind of safety and security when Anakin leans in and tucks his head against Obi Wan's soft shoulder

Once Anakin finally gets to sleep off the drunkenness, the ONE recompense from the universe for the curse of being an utter lightweight kicks in:

Anakin Skywalker never, never, NEVER, gets a hangover

It doesn't matter how wasted he was the night before, no matter WHAT he drank, he will wake up the next day with a clear head, bright eyes, and completely, perfectly fine

Everyone else who drinks with him wants to absolutely Murder him over it

Unfortunately, he also has a record for not quite remembering what happened the night before tho lol

Soooo… Let‘s talk about my Kaijustars AU

Godzilla‘s family! To be more specific his dad and siblings.

Gojira (old man Goji) – the dad. He was in the original movie, but refused to take part in the sequels. He’s a cranky old man and not a very good father (or grandfather for that matter). Also he’s really bad at names – literally all of his sons have the name “Godzilla”. His daughters did get their own names however.

Godzilla (Goji) – I mean… it’s Godzilla. He was the star of the showa series, heisei series and even the millennium movies (yeah, I know that millennium Godzillas canonically look very different, but I didn’t wanna make this au more complicated than it needs to be, so it’s just him – canons don’t matter). He is a friendly and likable (just a little narcissistic) middle-aged dude. He’s a proud father of two (Minilla and Junior) and a loving grandpa (Shin aka Kamata-kun). Btw Minilla is now all grown up and Shin is his baby.

SpaceGodzilla (Space) – he is basically Goji’s twin brother. To be exact, they are not twins – they have different moms and Space hatched about a week earlier. That being said, they grew up together and consider each other the closest siblings (so yeah, basically twins). Space is kind of a mess. He’s still nice and quite likable, but definitely less sociable. He is still a great uncle tho.

Mechagodzilla I – two moods: dad jokes 24/7 or tired to death. He’s a single father of a little baby boy (Machagodzilla IV aka City). Poor MG1 barely gets any sleep or free time. But it’s okay – he loves his kid too much to be mad.

Mechagodzilla II – oh boy. This is a guy who knows his own worth for sure. Always keeps himself in a good shape, always surrounded by women, very popular and loved by everyone. He might seem like an asshole to you, but actually he’s a pretty charismatic and lovable dude. Is his lifestyle hedonistic? Yes, kinda. But it’s not as bad as you think. He still thinks of others and tries to help whenever he can. In other words, MG2 is an ok guy after you get to know him.

Mechagodzilla III (Kiryu) – Gojira’s youngest kid. He’s just sweet and likable. A little shy. Has a pretty normal lifestyle. Kinda wants to start a family, but not sure if he’s ready yet. Too scared to start a relationship with a fangirl, due to previous bad experiences.

Jirahs – she’s an ultra kaiju. You know, Godzilla couldn’t really appear on the Ultraman show, so they asked his younger sister. They look pretty similar, so why not? As a result most of her friends are other ultra kaijus and you rarely see her spending time with the Toho guys. That being said… she hangs out with Zedus a lot - people suspect they might be a couple (or you know, just frill friends).

Biollante (Bio) – what an absolute Goddess! Look at her! She is big, strong, and stoic. She’s the oldest child in the family. As a kid she had to take care of all those bullies who were picking on her little brothers. Now she is a beautiful plant lady. She’s loving, caring and supportive, has a good sense of humor. Bio is a person you would wanna hang out with (but don’t you dare talk shit about her family or friends). She is also old man’s favorite kid – yes Gojira is that type of parent who would play favorites.

So, from oldest to youngest: Biollante, SpaceGodzilla, Godzilla, Jirahs, Mechagodzilla I, Mechagodzilla II, Mechagodzilla III. All from different moms. I guess that says a lot about old man Goji.

who insists on going to see the newest movies? aerith. DATE! NIGHT! you'd expect it to be romcoms but it's virtually everything. she probably dragged them both to godzilla vs kong opening night. which zack might have been interested in but he's not as good at checking when do movies open.

who cries when the abused animal commercials come on? neither cause they change the damn channel.

who’s the lighter sleeper? zack. but he has a sleepy girl on top of him so he better not get up.

who believes in ghosts? aerith. who also believes in leaving them alone, poor things are just confused, give them a moment and they'll be nice to you.

who does the grocery shopping? both. and both of them will sneak in weird stuff that wasn't in the grocery list.

who updates their facebook status more often? I'd say they're both pretty private with their life and not up for sharing every little detail with other people so facebook is mostly for professional stuff. aerith is big on sharing the photos her wonderful bf takes of her on instagram tho, even if she regularly "forgets" to tag him.
