A North Korean ship was spotted dead in the water outside the New York City harbor. The first two teams sent out to investigate disappeared without word, and eventually the Coast Guard towed the ship to shore. The moment that she landed, the outbreak started – hoards of the undead flooding from the rusted depths of the dead ship and spilling over onto the docks. Within a week the entire city had been overrun, forcing survivors into hiding inside and on top of buildings. Now, two weeks since the infection started, the power has finally gone out for the last time, fresh water is no longer being pumped through the pipes beneath the city, and the only movement in the streets are from the thousands of zombies that mill around waiting for something fresh and living to devour.
Trapped inside the historical twelve story apartment affectionately named “The Wexley”, known for it’s mishmash of architectural styles that somehow make it charmingly ugly, it’s residents are doing what they can to survive until help comes. Or until they’re forced to leave their fortress of glass and stone. All they know is that sooner or later it’s going to be time to say Goodbye to New York City
There's an official Fallout ttrpg. I've read it. It's okay!
There's also, completely fanmade, After The Bomb.
And I want to put After The Bomb on your radar, because it's very, very good.
ATB uses a simple d20 + stat system, with bonuses from gear and perks factored in. You have a HP track, which burns at both ends from radiation and damage, and also a survival track that breaks pieces of your equipment whenever it depletes. Rolls are player-made, and the system spends a lot of time in that osr headspace where it cares more about the choices the players make than how they built their character. The game's currency is Junk, and you spend it repairing your gear and crafting consumables.
Levelling up is surprisingly rich with choice, and fights and obstacles are tense and deadly. Again, the core mechanics are simple, but they use this simplicity to push complex choices towards the players. You see a piece of valuable Junk floating in a bog. Do you go in and take a point of radiation? Risk coming back later? Waste your own Junk fashioning a contraption to try and get it out?
After The Bomb comes with its own sandbox campaign set in Minnesota, plus a *lot* of GM support for stuff like factions, monsters, and basebuilding.
It's a gem in our current pre-apocalypse, and I strongly recommend giving it a look.

You walk through the magic-lit streets of Ravenport, the evening air crackling with unseen energy. The city buzzes with life: street vendors selling enchanted trinkets, sky-high buildings pulsing with magical light in apartments and offices, and citizens of all kinds mingling in the shadow of ancient, rune-covered monuments. You hear an exchange of dwarfish, and then an elemental making a deal with an owl in demonspeak.
The energy of Ravenport is a palpable, living thing that whispers in your ear, promising secrets and wonders. As you gaze upon the rune-covered skyline of Ravenport, you spend a moment in reflection.
What brought you to Ravenport?
Reblog to answer. Things like "I came seeking knowledge of the arcane arts." to "I was born here, the city's rhythm is in my blood." Include a little more, a story to establish you -- maybe even a name. The next time I look at this blog, I will pick some, make a roll and tell you all what happens next.
Trivia time, he’s based off a portrait from wasteland remastere, you can find it quickly if you look up for the character of ace on the Wasteland wiki.
War... war never changes. It is a bitter refrain that resounds through the hallowed ruins of The Holy City. In this scarred land of Charleston, where once there was grace and prosperity, now lies a wasteland teetering on the edge of oblivion. Many simply call this wasteland The Deep.
You've been thrust into the wastes of The Deep. The only life you ever knew was underground. Now you hold the key to the key to reawakening a dormant giant. A giant that everyone wants to control.
Fight to survive as you navigate treacherous alliances, fight mutated monstrosities and make weighty choices that ripple across the irradiated landscape.

We here at Wealwright studios, long ago decided that the tabletop games that were available to us at the time were too restrictive. So, we decided to make our own.
We worked all the way up from base principles like "What makes a tabletop game fun?", to bring to everyone (Us Included) the best game that we make.
Now I'm delight to say that we can share our game with everyone out there!

So I am a huge Earthbound fan Everytime I get a Lapris in Pokemon I name it Tessie, I do the bones line, I listen to the music some times when I just need it.
And one day while watching someone play the game I had an idea. So Buzz Buzz is from the future, he says 10 years in the future where Giygas has taken over and we need to stop it, What if instead of the kids saving the word in game, What if its 10 years later and they do it as 20 somethings? I wrote a long detailed idea concept on Tumblr and on my AO3 if you wanna read it.
This was also a Let's see if I can draw characters aged up, which is a massive challenge for some especially established iconic kids, the balance between clearly adult but still recognizable, I think I did well here. I also added some post apocalypses goodness aka battle scars wear and tear etc.
And when it comes to coloring…oh boy complex shading ahoy! complex for me, its one point of light from behind more or less which means…hard for me at least. Also dirtied up the outfits and other things hope you like it.
