Yes my child it is still a sin. It is unfortunate, but it is the way we operate here. Please cooperate with the task force that has been dispatched to your location. They may be forceful but they mean only to help. Thoughts and Prayers.

For the rest of you whose souls may still be salvageable, remember my words well. Any act that is a desire of the flesh is a sin, no matter how it happens or who did it to you. Sins are still sins, which is why you must protect yourself.

Praying friends, I'm requesting your assistance! This ministry is where I began to understand God's unconditional love for me, and I've seen that be true for countless kiddos in the near-decade since I first started going. The idea of all these boys being turned away breaks my heart! Please pray and if you feel led, share this with the young Christian men in your lives. The summer I was blessed to spend counseling here was legitimately the most incredible time in my life so far and I've been all but begging God to let me go back. It's a chance to share the love of Christ with these precious kids, and also a condensed growing period that yields results you wouldn't believe.

Prayer

I’ve started a new habit. I make a list before I pray.

Notice how only those things that are important to us make it into most of our prayers?

I think Prayer is our personal daily (or periodic) reminder of things that matter and that we care about.

I am growing and constantly curating my prayer list. I check it twice or more and then I pray as much as I can and as deeply as I can for those things that make my list.

I find that the more I pray about things, the more I practice deliberate and intentional action in regular life, towards the betterment and improvement(within my powers) of those things I prayed about. And with God’s grace, I am starting to notice a gradual but consistent shift.

So join me…

Pray for your dreams

Pray for your tomorrow

Pray for your family and friends

Pray even for your foes

May the prayers we utter, be thoughtful and kind

And May all our prayers be answered.

One of my goals this year is to pray more for the people in my life. I don’t think I do it unless they ask me to or they’re going through something specific. But if God and I are going to have this close, intimate relationship, I think we should be talking about the people I love more often and definitely about the things I care about.

It feels a bit overwhelming though to end up praying about everyone I’ve ever met on a daily basis. So I think breaking them up into categories might be a good way to start.

Remember to pray for the people you follow (or who follow you) on social media who just vanished one day. God willing, they're just taking a break or have a new account or quit the site. But there's a very real possibility that something could have happened to them. Maybe they're extremely ill, maybe they're now homeless, or maybe they passed away. And God willing, if something were to ever happen to you, that people would be praying for you because they noticed you haven't been online for some time.

When I first began to pray, things were... less than optimal between my husband and me. One of the first things on my prayer list, long before it even turned into a list, was to pray for the two of us. That we'd grow close to each other again.

Just now, that item turned into thanks for the fact that we are close. That we trust each other again and like to spend time together again.

Maybe one day other "please God fix this" items will turn into "thank you"s? Maybe those friends I've been begging God to help... will get helped? Maybe my prayers are more than just a duty and a ritual? Maybe it's not hopeless after all?

druids can NOT speak in people’s minds. when they are before a high priestess, they can pray to her directly and she can hear them (hence the scene between morgana and mordred when he spoke in her mind).

merlin who constantly has this buzzing in the back of his head that he can never understand besides the occasional odd word which makes no sense. but when he’s closer to a druid or when their prayer is super strong, then he can make out what they’re saying.

merlin who brings up the fact that druids can speak into peoples minds to gaius who casually unfurls a scroll containing his ongoing list of reasons why merlin is/evidence of merlin being a god of the old religion.

Hello again! I have an update about my sister.

I think trying to hold a sincere conversation uh... Frightened her somehow? She didn't take to it well. She always did get nervous about uh. Real feelings...

Extremely recently, she filmed an indecent video showing off her undergarments and posted it online, specifically asking that it be spread around so she could get lots of attention. Then when she inevitably got disgusting messages from a dangerous seeming person, I had to hide said undergarments so she wouldn't sell them to this person!

Also recently I saw her sending a different dangerous seeming person a weird message revealing her real name and address, calling them a "walking red flag" and herself something like a "helpless deer with red-green colour blindness"????

Sydney is usually able to mellow her out without doing much, which is reassuring, but in no possible universe could I even consider just... Walking up to them and saying "Hello Sydney! Lovely weather we are having! Please babysit my younger twin sister for me. She is very self destructive and I am worthless! Thank you!" For uh... Many reasons! At least she's peaceful and harmless and not being harmed when she's asleep haha...

Oh gosh, I went completely off the rails here... I'm so sorry. I only meant to give you an update like you asked, but I think I got a little worked up...

Hello there young Edin! Thank you very much for the update, I was rather worried about both of you.

I am sorry to hear that things did not work out well between you and your sister Esmee. I had hoped my advice would have served you well, and I am sad to hear that it seems to have made things worse. Please know that was never my intention.

In terms of Esmee's behaviour, this is all very concerning, I am tempted to say that she may be possessed by something malevolent, but I am worried that making an incorrect call in that area may cause more harm than good.

You mentioned that young Sydney seemed to have a positive effect on her, yes? But that you feel bad asking them to watch over her, which is understandable. You do not want to appear incapable of caring for someone who you care for and who should be relying on you. Perhaps I shall assign young Sydney to take watch over her, and inform me if more direct action is needed.

That way you would not lose face with anyone, and Esmee can maybe achieve the help she needs.

I do worry about you in all of this, young Edin. It cannot be easy seeing one so dear to you change and struggle like this. Know that if you ever need me, even if just to vent your frustrations, I am always here for you. And I know that this decision may be a long ways off, but if you ever become more comfortable with your relationship with your sister, know that there is always room for the both of you here. We would love to have you be a member of the church.

do you think Kaneki might ever pray with Amon despite not being catholic himself? just sitting next to him mumbling the words as Amon says it because he likes to be with him

speaking of religion, what kind of faith do you think Kaneki would follow? I hc him as an atheist :) but I think you know more about religions than me lol

also this is just a sidenote but i know some people may be uncomfortable with religious discussion, so if you are lmk and i'll start tagging it :thumbsup:

I feel like Amon hasn't prayed often in a while because of his past, but he may still on occasion (habit), and may get back into it properly after actually resolving his feelings with the past. At some point Kaneki starts to join him. He doesn't really know How to pray, especially since a lot of it is in silence, he probably just kneels there and silently wishes for safety for his friends, for strength and resolve, etc. etc. But when Amon starts saying the actual prayers out loud he just sits there and listens to him quietly saying them.

At some point Kaneki might start mumbling along with them, he vaguely knows some of the prayers and has heard Amon say them enough times to kind of know them. Amon is surprised when Kaneki starts doing that and it just kind of becomes a Thing; maybe Kaneki even asks Amon to tell him how to pray the rosary since he sees him doing that often as well (when the rosary is prayed in a group there's one person leading that says the first half of most of the prayers and the rest say the other half, and I think it would be interesting with them alternating like that)

While Kaneki isn't catholic himself he finds it reassuring, while it's unlikely to him that there's someone out there that'll actually grant his prayers it's a nice thought, y'know? It's also just very relaxing there, even if it was kind of awkward at first

I think he also finds the sound of Amon praying very relaxing *cough*

I also think Kaneki would be atheist, while he wouldn't completely deny the possibility of there being a god of some sort he also isn't really a follower of any particular belief system (note: ive actually been informed that there is a better term for this, agnostic, which is essentially being neutral lol). I think Amon would know this, and therefore doesn't really know why Kaneki chooses to pray with him despite this, but he figures that Kaneki does have a lot of things he would want to pray for, things he would want to seek forgiveness for, too, and he appreciates that Kaneki is willing to spend time with him like this anyway.
