I watch it because I miss Jared and because I want to support the sea-change he’s encouraging within the industry in re working conditions. I feel like the entire fandom has been trying to gaslight me into thinking that the show is somehow ~incredible television~ for the past three years and uhhhhhhhhhhh. Let's just discuss this for a moment.

First of all, this is one of my favorite GIFs even if I didn't like the scene that much. I want to discuss the acting of this very specific moment.

Sometimes I forget that Misha is the man whore of the cast until he shows it. What did the director tell him, anyway? "Act like you're in pain"? Well, uh, that's kind of the wrong kind of pain there... He looks like he likes it (in an erotic manner). This just goes to show that Misha will fuck anyone willing to fuck him. Castiel, of course, was trying to hold back the pain because Heaven forbid a Demon actually have the ability to hurt an Angel. It still looks slutty as AF either way.

I don't know what to say about Jared except he looks like he's taking a rather painful shit (since I'm going for comedy here). Misha looks like he's getting up the ass and Jared just looks... Anyway-

Then you have Parise who made this scene badass. Full macho mode and A+ acting on his part. Not going to lie, I liked this bit here a little too much. Then again, I had been mad at TFW for over two Seasons sk I felt this was perfect karma. I know I'm probably going to get gunned down for saying that. But that's what they get for going nuts slaughtering a man's family. Like what did they expect? Asmodeus to be like "Oh, yeah, that's fine. I hated those bitches, anyway." No, that man is known for his rage and he's loyal to his family. small rant about separating characters from their actors

watching recordings of old panels and seeing the way the crowds acted, and the way they failed to seperate Misha from Cass and Jensen from Dean, makes me very uncomfortable. The Spn fandom is probably one of the worst when it comes to this. Even now, years after these panels happened, I still get such visceral second hand embarrassment. Like we all know teenage girls are at the top of the pyramid when it comes to having obsessive crushes on actors, but the way some of these fans acted about Jensen, Jared and Misha, and the way they bulled and harassed the wives/girlfriends of the actors (and some still do) is insane to me.

on top of that, the way the fandom worships the actors? You don’t know Jensen Ackles. You don’t know Misha Collins. You don’t know Jared Padalecki. The fandom sees them and assumes they’re like their characters. These are actors. They lie for a living. They could be horrible people in real life, but you look at them and you see Sam, Dean and Cass, so obviously they can “do no wrong”. I’m not saying they’ve done anything wrong, but if it came out that Jensen was pro-Israel, or that Misha was a raging homophobe, could you really say you’d make a mature decision and stop liking them? Or would you go “but Dean/Cass would never do that!”

it’s like with Mark Hamill. I love Star Wars, and I like Luke Skywalker, but Mark openly supported Biden and was indirectly pro-Israel. Instead of people going “this person has done a bad thing”, the fandom erupted with “Luke skywalker would never do this” like yes obviously the leader of a rebellion against an oppressive empire run by an old wrinkly white guy would never do this, but this is Mark fucking Hamill, not Luke Skywalker. You’re comparing a real person to a fictional character.

You don’t look at the Joker and go “Heath Ledger would never kill someone!” Because it’s obvious that the Joker is a fictional character and that the things the character says and does is not reflected by the actor. So why is it so hard to flip it around? Why are so many people unable to look at a good character and think “these words and actions aren’t the actors real beliefs”??

I love it when Paris shows up on Rory's door step, she always looks like an abandoned puppy looking for a home for the night. And she sort of is. P: I tried to stay home and study by myself! But I can't! There is this aching in my heart that I just cannot ignore! It grows louder and louder by the minute! Rory Gilmore, I love you! Will you marry me? Okay, so I made up everything past the first line, but you know she was thinking it.

At the last (? at least a recent) convention in Texas a fan who was cosplaying as endverse Dean was approached by an older man who complimented the fan on her “open carry” (the fake gun she was wearing in a thigh holster.) The fan had to explain to this is man that it was part of her costume and not a real gun. The old man turned out to be Jared Padalecki’s father. I think this was the same con where Jared first showed off his pro-gun tattoo? So, yeah, NOT super thrilled at the idea of the psycho going THERE to stalk Misha. Texas gun culture plus Creation’s shitty (non-existent) security plus an insane stalker with a grudge against fans seems like a recipe for disaster.
