Dan Heng knows what it's like. He knows what it's like to be locked up, forced away from the outside world. He knows what it's like to be alone and scared. He knows what it's like to have someone watch your every move. Dan Heng knows what it would be like for you. Yet, he can't shake the thoughts and desires to take you.

Dan Heng knows it's wrong. He can sympathize, which is probably why he tried to deny it all in the first place. However, he's been so selfless. He accepted punishment without complaint. He helps around the Astral Express so much. It's hard for Dan Heng to not be selfish this once and indulge in his love.

That is if he can even call it love. Dan Heng tried to deny his feelings for you first. He knew how hard it would be, even without expecting the obsession to come along with it. His draconic heritage makes him more possessive than the average lover. They hoard what they love, and it includes their mates as well.

Dan Heng can't avoid it entirely, though. Being without you feels like an even worse punishment than his banishment. With you, he feels something he has never felt before. Dan Heng can no longer deny his love for you, even if it may be more than that.

You might notice him giving extra attention to you. It is never anything big, but rather small things. Dan Heng looks at you a bit longer. He smiles slightly when you talk. He stands closer to you. He won't flinch away when you grab his hand. He'll let you into the Archives. Dan Heng will treat you differently.

He is still silent as ever, but he is more relaxed around you. At the same time, he feels more tense, though. Dan Heng doesn't want to push you away. He'll take his time with you.

In his dragon form, his thoughts are even worse. It is harder to suppress his desire for you. Especially when he already begins to subconsciously think of you as his mate. This is when things get a bit more severe. He's less controlled.

Dan Heng's tail might loosely wrap around your ankle as if you'd run. He'll glare at people he thinks are too close. He'll only go where you go. He'll favor you and always find a way to defend you. Things like this are much more noticeable as his love grows.

The Archives have a lot more entries about you. Your physical description, personality, hobbies, interests, and moods all have their own extensive pages. When he can't be with you, he'll simply write or read about you. Dan Heng will find himself reading over your information if he can't go to sleep.

At this point, Dan Heng knows it is more than love. He knows he is obsessed with you. But he doesn't care all that much. He feels something, something that isn't cold. Something that feels good and warm in his heart, even if it is terribly wrong in his brain. He's given up on trying to suppress it. He simply can't, so Dan Heng embraces it. He embraces you. If you do end up loving Dan Heng as well, he will be overjoyed. You can't see it on his face, but the way his tail tightly coils around your waist tells you otherwise. He isn't too big on physical touch normally, but he will always have some kind of touch on you.

He'll get a bit overbearing. He doesn't want to see you hurt. It's dangerous trailblazing. Dan Heng needs you.

If you find out the extent of his love, he might finally lose the rest of his self-restraint. You'd probably run. He doesn't want that. He won't let that happen. You're his now.

Dan Heng gently ran his fingers through your hair, playing with it. You sat down in front of him with his tail securely wrapped around your waist. Your back snugly pressed against his chest. Both of you breathed slowly, enjoying the moment.

"Dan Heng?" You asked. He did not respond. He only continued to mess with your hair. You couldn't see his expression, how he looked at you with utter love in his eyes. He was thinking.

"Dan Heng..?" You question softly. This time, Dan Heng seems to have heard your words. His fingers stop for a moment as he blinks.

"Yes, what is it?" His fingers resume once he speaks. They softly pull through any tangles, Dan Heng paying extra attention to make sure he doesn't hurt you. His tail lightly twitched around your waist.

"I was thinking about going on the Luofu with March and..." You didn't get to finish your sentence as Dan Heng's grip on your hair tightened. It hurt a bit, as his fist pulled on your hair unknowingly. Dan Heng's voice came next.

"No," he said. Dan Heng's voice was far colder than it usually was. He sounded angry and disappointed and upset. It was impossible for you to turn to see his expression with his hand holding your head straight. Dan Heng repeated, "No. It's too dangerous. The.. Stellaron Hunters are there. He is there. If something happens to you, you will never be able to best him in a fight. You need to stay here, where it's safe. Besides, March and the others don't need you. They can do this alone."

Dan Heng's words came out harsher than he was meaning to, but he was too busy worrying about you to realize. He shuddered slightly, imagining what it would be like if you were Blade's next victim. It wasn't hard to figure out Dan Heng is attached to you, so perhaps he would go for you to get to Dan Heng. The thought sickened him. He never wanted to see you in pain like he had to be. Slowly, his grip loosened as he went back to playing with your hair.

However, you were also a bit uneasy. Dan Heng's tone was off, and he had been acting weird recently. You spoke after a few minutes of silence, "I'm feeling tired... I'm going to go to sleep in my room now, Heng."

"Hm," Dan Heng hums, "No. I think you will sleep in here from now on."

NEUVILLETTE ★

Neuvillette also knows it's wrong. What he stays up at night thinking of is illegal. It goes against everything he does in life. Yet, he would never think it would feel so good.

Neuvillette has never been a selfish man. For hundreds of years, he upheld justice for others. He was always fair and righteous, even when it hurt. However, Neuvillette has never really wanted anything specific in the first place. Yes, he yearns to understand himself and others, but he has never felt that carnal desire to own something.

That is, until he met you of course. Suddenly, he felt something he'd never felt before. It was weird, bubbling in his chest sweetly. It made his heart ache with yearning. It almost felt a bit painful, but it was also so enjoyable. He wanted more of it.

You made him feel something he has yet to grasp. He may not understand emotions well, but he knows what certain ones are. But this, he does not know. You made Neuvillette feel something new. Something that made him feel a bit more alive. As if you were the purpose, the reason he was born.

Neuvillette tries to dismiss these thoughts, but it's hard. He must focus on his duties, but he often thinks of you in the moments between work. He knows it's wrong. But it doesn't feel bad. It feels good. So, is it really that wrong?

Neuvillette is still very busy, though. He will get the melusines to spy on you, which they happily accept. Neuvillette often tells them about you since he doesn't have anyone else he can tell. It's gotten to the point where alongside seeing Neuvillette as their father of sorts, they see you as a parent as well. Of course, they think, you must be the monsieur's spouse. They certainly have no issue with simply ensuring their 'parent's' safety, after all.

Neuvillette never corrects them. After all, it makes him feel warm inside. Marriage sounds nice. A legal contract, bounding you to each other forever. Suddenly, Neuvillette seems to pay more attention to marriage documents and trials related to it.

He will never say anything first. Ever. Even though Neuvillette wants you badly, he will not break his moral code and risk doing something irrational. He likely wouldn't either way, but he worries. Especially when it comes to you.

Neuvillette is very protective of you. He wasn't very big on touch, but now he likes to have some sort of contact with you. Holding your hand, arm, waist, finger, whatever it may be. It helps him make sure you're okay. It's been so long since he's felt affection like that, and he tries to get you to spoil him with it sometimes.

He loves it so much when you treat the melusines like they are your children. Maybe one day you can have children together. Whether it's biological or adoption, he doesn't care. Neuvillette wants to be with you however he can.

And once the prophecy kicks off entirely, you're never leaving his sight again. Even if you're not from Fontaine, there's still a risk and uncertainty. Neuvillette won't let you slip away. He can't. He'll pamper you, do whatever you ask of him (besides letting you go), but he just needs you to stay where he knows you're safe.

If you try to leave, then good luck. It'll be raining. Hard. You can barely even walk without getting soaked. It's never been this bad in Fontaine before.. but as soon as Neuvillette sees you again, it's unbearably sunny. The weather is quite extreme.

You're his mate after all. Why are you even trying to leave him, if you are? This is your home now. Neuvillette sighs, perhaps you're just nervous. It's okay, though. He figures you need to adjust.

He won't care if you find out how much he loves you. Why does it matter? Of course, he loves his mate.

"I forbid you," Neuvillette stares you down, "My dear, please, come back over here. I'd hate to request a guard to block the door."

You stop in your tracks, not doubting Neuvillette's words. You could feel his gaze burning into your skull. It scared you. He was incredibly powerful, and it would be best to comply with him, no?

You turned around. He smiled gently, "Good. Now come, sit back down, mon ange (my angel)."

You listen to him, slowly walking back towards him. You sit on the couch next to his desk before he sighs. The rain gets a bit harder.

"You know that's not your seat," he murmurs. And you know exactly what he means. Neuvillette waits for you to return to him, and sit on his lap—your seat. You do.

"There," Neuvillette breathes out on your neck. He wraps his arms around your waist and buries his face into your neck. The rain alleviates, slowing. You shake a bit in his grasp, either from his breathing or your possible fear.

"Shh.. it's okay, mon cœur (my heart), is it that you're cold..?" Neuvillette asks sweetly, before holding you tighter. "I'll warm you up, my love. Just stay with me.."

His hands begin to rub circles into your back as he flips you over. Neuvillette isn't manhandling you roughly, but he does it with such ease. It may not be purposeful, but it's a reminder of just how much stronger he is than you. After all, he is a dragon. He uses his glove hand to gently push you against his chest. Neuvillette effectively trapped you in his warm grasp.

"Neuvillette.." You say softly, "There is no need to hold me like a lifeline."

He smiles but doesn't loosen his grip. "I beg to differ. After all, I don't think I could live without you, so you are my lifeline, no? My lifeline and my mate.."

Neuvillette's voice is longing. You won't be able to get out of this any time soon. The rain disappears alongside your smile (or frown).

The best part of these people is that they are all up in your face when angry unless they got Mars aspecting Neptune. They wont pretend to be fine and later plan your revenge like a Scorpio Mars, no these people are straight and honest. They might also be easily angered but they also forget it just as fast. Physically they might look athletic even if they dont work out and they usually have the most amazing eyebrows and gorgeous lips. The headshape is usually very beautiful and prominent and especially the hairline. They can have a very angry walk so people might mistake them for being in a mood. Most Aries Mars people ive met had a love for animals. This is a cardinal Mars and cardinals value respect. Aries Mars have a hard time being patient with people they dont respect.

MARS IN TAURUS

These are the little kids who tell their parents they want to sell some of their toys for money. Super good with money. From a young age. Probably started saving early. Ive noticed that these people are very picky with their appearance. AND others. But Im a virgo so I understand. These people do not like conflict and confrontation which is why they can be very passive aggressive. The kind of person to quietly say something rude and then be like ”oh no nothing” when you asked them what they said. Some people with this placement can start to hate this quality about themselves and start acting all overly aggressive to not be seen as scared but it only looks worse honestly. This placement is just not made for aggression and beef at all unless aspecting pluto. These people tend to have a beautiful and social aura that makes them well liked. But these people can be very vengeful and very aggressive when angered, remember that the sign is literally holding a freaking longbow ready to shoot. These people love a good debate, they are very intelligent and they love to show it. If afflicted or conjunct Mercury they can be a real besserwisser. They have a very striking appearance. And can have a very penetrating look to the eyes.

MARS IN PISCES

These people can be very shy which is one of their cutest qualities. They do have a tendency to lose themselves in a dream and focus too much of that willpower into something that wont happen. Tsukki's teasing actually depends on how much you can handle.

He didn't pay attention to how he teases you in the beginning of your romantic relationship and soon regretted it if you reacted negatively to it.

Tsukishima toned it down after that.

Tsukishima has never had any intention of you meeting his team besides Yamaguchi.

He tells you that he plays for Karasuno and that's about it if you ask him.

If you push, he says that he's a middle blocker.

Yamaguchi gets you the good information tho and even tells you the times the team practices if you ever wanna watch

Because both you and Yamaguchi know that Tsukki doesn't really mind you watching him practice

He just doesn't want you to meet the rest of his team.

What Yamaguchi fails to tell you though is what the rest of the Karasuno volleyball team is like.

Everyone on the team notices that someone is watching them practice pretty quickly as that doesn't happen too often.

So of course you get introduced to the team.

Yamaguchi insists that Tsukishima is the one who introduces you officially.

So Tsukki simply says your name and that you're his partner.

Daichi is impressed and Suga is so happy that one of his children found a partner

Tanaka and Nishinoya are shocked and jealous. They probably will try and mess with Tsukki by trying to take you away from him jokingly.

Kageyama and Hinata is like why Tsukki out of all people.

That's all before Coach Ukai gets them all to refocus

Takeda offers you to sit by him and Kiyoko.

So congrats you are accepted by the Karasuno High School Boys Volleyball team.

Tsukishima gets nervous if you come to an actual game

He loves hearing you cheer in the crowd for him

Just don't say anything embarrassing or he will turn and glare at you or straight up ignore you.

When Karasuno wins the first time you're at a game, Tsukki hugs you in public, surprising you greatly.

He hates public affection a lot but he will hug you full on or give you a side hug after winning

One thing Tsukki doesn't mind to much is if you run to him and hug his torso.

He finds it a little endearing but it still isn't enough for him to hug you back.

If you're around friends, he'll maybe put a hand one of your shoulders.

If you're with someone like Yamaguchi, Tsukki will actually pat your head and rest his hand on the top of your head

That reminds me, Tsukishima definitely leans on you if you're alone and you're shorter than him, even if it's a small height difference, he does it to mess with you.

All in all, Tsukishima's a good boyfriend who really cares for you and really loves you. You just have to see past the tough walls he's placed up.

I HC Sirius as the most skilled duelist amongst the marauders.

He spent 12 yrs in azkaban, an yr in a cave on the run and another one cooped up in his house and was still skilful enough to duel Bellatrix ( yes she was in azkaban too but tht barely counts as azkaban doesn't affect death eaters as much as it affects normal ppl, which is y DEs can't produce and don't need a patronus around dementors). The only reason he lost was because he got arrogant and reckless, not because he wasn't skillful enough. Bellatrix was trained by voldemort himself, but we have no canon proof of Sirius being officially trained by anyone. Kingsley, who was a trained auror and who could duel 2 DEs at the same time, was thrown back after duelling her for lyk 2 secs( tho he was probably upset abt Sirius dying so I ll give him a pass).

Now, ik tht james and lily deceived voldemort 3 times n tht he wanted to recruit them (which doesn't make sense coz lily was a muggleborn n this is never explained or brought up in the series again but sure), but i still think Sirius is more powerful in this sense coz he's ready to inflict pain on his enemies in a way James isn't. This dynamic is laid out by how Sirius is the one to send Snape to the whomping willow and James is the one who risks everything to save him, essentially doing damage control here. In a fight against voldemort's followers, Sirius's actions would count as beneficial for the greater good rather than prompting a moral analysis of his character.

Compared to lily.... yeah I don't think she's gonna triumph on a fighting level. Unlike Sirius, she's essentially a plot device and her character revolves around what's needed to move the story at tht moment. So if the plot required her to be better, she would be, but lily is portrayed as some sort of saint with a moral high ground, I have a hard time imagining her to be better

Remus imo doesn't even count. Thts not to say he wasn't skilled, but I don't think he can be compared with Sirius at all. A few months of inactivity cost him his life at the hands of dolohov, while Sirius still didn't hv a skill issue even after everything mentioned in the beginning.

Now Peter..... there's a lot of unexplored potential with peter. He's the most cunning of the lot, even Dumbledore didn't suspect him being a spy for a whole yr. But idk if that can attest to his combat skills. He frames Sirius and escapes because of sheer cunning and not skill( he draws his wand quicker than Sirius but Sirius had just lost james and realised tht his best friend, someone he would hv died for, was a traitor, so imo tht doesn't count). In general tho I don't see him as a combat guy, he seems to be more of a spy than a soldier

the first thing i want to be clear about is that i like c!drunz. they’re a very important duo (they were explicitly paralleled with c!CLINGYDUO for god’s sake) and the point of this isn’t to diminish their importance to each other. i ALSO want to say that the point of this isn’t to be like, super aggressively /neg towards any one character (even tho i am, admittedly, a self-proclaimed c!drolo) or to demonize them. and finally, that this is just the way i see them, not necessarily the views of anyone else (though i’ve very much been inspired by talking to certain friends abt the Blorbos (tm) for obvious reasons.)

all of that out of the way, onto the c!dream and c!punzisms . i have no plan for this post it’s probably gonna be messy as fuck . but i think first and foremost it’s important to acknowledge that c!dream and c!punz, each are characters with their own goals. a lot of the finale is about c!dream’s side of this, especially in terms of how much he lost sight of what he actually wanted (and i still have to do a rewatch of the 3rd finale stream just to parse through ALL THE SHIT HE SAID bc jfc man . what.) and how a lot of what he wanted were a lot simpler than he allowed himself to realize. 

but on the flip side of this, obviously, is c!punz. who also has his own motivations, and as is shown in the finale ... these motivations exist in a space that is . in a lot of ways. directly incompatible with what c!dream actually wants. c!punz is representative of The Plan. he calls the desires that c!dream and c!tommy share “simple-minded.” he wants to unlock the secrets of the universe just because he can. 

(and it’s worth recognizing that c!dream’s initial reaction to the existence of supernatural powers beyond his understanding on the server was to freak the fuck out, to the point of the prison’s construction being EXPLICITLY as a result of said discovery. Does c!dream want to understand things in order to Fix Them? Certainly. but i would hardly characterize his initial response to the supenatural as being, uh, impassioned curiosity of the unknown, so to speak.) 

c!punz has motivations that aren’t c!dream’s motivations. that’s ,, kind of the point of a lot of what was going on in that last finale stream! c!punz wants to Know Shit. he wants to elevate himself above simple-minded desires. he really,,, wasn’t convinced or swayed the same way dream was when tommy tried to get him to have a heart to heart, and actively discouraged him from continuing to talk about what he actually wanted. and again this isn’t to say that c!punz didn’t care or that he was trying to hurt c!dream or otherwise was trying to act in a way that was malicious towards him but all that still happened you know and speaks to a fundamental difference in the driving forces between these two characters. c!dream and c!punz are each characters with DESIRES and MOTIVES and they’re,, not always on the same page w/ regards to what said desires and motives actually are. 

and, yk, it’s not to say that two characters with different motivations can’t work together or have a relationship that’s rendered completely impossible by their differing desires. but a lot of what defines c!dream and c!punz has a lot to do with c!punz As The Plan, which is significant when you consider how much of The Plan is about both outward and self-destruction for c!dream. this in itself doesn’t completely throw their relationship over a cliff, even if it’s a huge disparity that has a lot of implications when we consider how unaddressed it was by the characters until the last stream of the finale, where c!dream and c!punz are markedly NOT on the same page about what they want. but that kind of brings me to my other point of what’s...really important to c!drunz, at least to me. which is how it’s so often defined by inaction. 

because, yeah, c!punz was always on c!dream’s side (except for that period of time in Pogtopia where he wasn’t, lol.) and yeah, c!punz was the one person he trusted with a lot of the details about his plan to Save The World and whatever. but also the separation between the two was so important that it was quite literally the cornerstone that ended up ensuring their joint survival; it was crucial post-staged finale that no one knew they were working together. c!punz started on c!dream’s side because he was a mercenary for hire. a degree of alienation has always been a part of their dynamic down to the finale, and is also an extremely IMPORTANT part of their dynamic if we consider c!dream’s silence to c!punz calling them friends. 

i find the post-prison era to be most damning about this point in particular, but just look at staged finale in itself: one one hand, c!punz and c!dream were in on a plan to fool the entire server, which spoke a lot to the level of trust involved there. on the other hand, c!punz took a very active and physical role in literally locking c!dream up in his personal hell. c!ranboo took a more significant role after he was locked up than c!punz (which, like, again makes SENSE re. security. but. like. that absence still speaks volumes)--like c!punz as an enabler, c!punz as someone physically cut off from c!dream...that’s a pattern. 

and again, when we look at the state of them after the prison, the absence is even more damning. c!punz specifically (even when considering c!dream’s obvious role in the planning) gets c!dream killed twice in staged finale and then you know, has him metaphorically killed when he’s put in the prison. and then AFTER the prison, we have three specific cases at the very least: c!punz’s signal in the scrapped lore is what ends with c!dream being trapped by both of his torturers, c!punz’s involvement in the Las Nevadas revenge plan nearly gets c!dream killed either by the slime army or if he was in c!purpled’s position at the top of that tower, and his running away from Las Nevadas is explicitly what allowed c!tommy to stalk him for weeks and end up breaking in and killing him. Not to mention how that ends up leading up to both of them getting trapped in the prison with a nuke about to come down over the server. 

and obviously c!dream almost dying/literally dying in all of these post-prison scenarios isn’t Part Of The Plan or something that c!punz actually wants, right, but also...where was he? what did he do to prevent this from happening? c!dream was stalked for literal MONTHS after las nevadas and we see no mention of c!punz being around,,, at all? (we KNOW he wasn’t visibly around in any way considering c!tommy thought that c!punz was still on his side, even.) c!dream didn’t LEAVE the prison for weeks after LN and c!punz wasn’t around? this is with c!punz obviously knowing that c!dream was going to confront his TORTURER. and he wasn’t watching from the sidelines? like, forget c!tommy, c!sapnap found about c!dream’s place of residence IN JANUARY and was apparently still harassing him outside IN JUNE. people broke into that prison to threaten dream multiple times !! like ? 

and god it’s not to say that c!punz didn’t care--his anger speaks for itself--but it’s important to acknowledge that that distance existed and was actively detrimental to c!dream’s safety. fuck, the ANGER in itself was detrimental to c!dream. c!punz’s defining characteristic according to the cc is his anger, when he’s not putting on a persona for the rest of the server,,, and this anger was doing c!dream no favors. we could see that in the finale. we could see that as he literally spent months upon months wasting away in the prison AFTER RECLAIMING THE KEYCARDS and apparently just spent all his fucking time in that place. we can see that when c!punz’s anger leads to c!dream confronting LN which ends up with him staying in the prison without moving for weeks on end, when c!punz’s anger leads to him reviving c!dream minutes after he dies in front of c!clingyduo which ends up leading to the events that prompt them to nuke the fucking server. 

like, ultimately, c!dream and c!punz are characters that had each other and only each other in terms of people who knew the truth abt each other’s plans. they care about each other’s safety. they also have inherently incompatible individual motivations and were severely alienated from each other in ways that carried out throughout their relationship into the finale, and these differences are what defined finale c!dream and c!punz the way they ended up being. and yes, a lot of these decisions were exacerbated by the hostility of the environment they lived in and how being c!dream’s ally was a death sentence. yes, a lot of this has to do with the logical benefits of standing apart so that they could revive each other in case something went wrong. and yes, this has to do with c!dream’s being extremely fucking mentally ill and delusional from the beginning of when their partnership became more defined, after c!dream received the revive book, lost every other ally, and went on a paranoid spiral that ended up with him in pandora. but it’s the differences and the isolation that to me, make this pair in particular so compelling and IMPORTANT in canon.

I realized I never posted my design for mona in rottmnt and her only appearance so far has been the banner I use. Note that this was made back in June lol, but I still like her design and it probably won't change much in the future. I really like her muted colors and love her eye shape, tho the one thing I will change in the future is her feet because they don't really match her lol. But she would keep her lil socks :]

Her basic premise is like a lot of other takes by making Mona as a champion/contestant in the Battle Nexus/ worker for Big Mama. And Mona Lisa is her false name (hench why it says alias) and her real name would be her 2012 name Y'Gythgba. I might say more if anyone's interested or if I just get bored lol, I still haven't been able to draw digitally yet (which sucks because I want to engage in the Risetober prompts but I'll have to make do and wait and do them all late). But I wanted to post something still and not be as inactive..

Dabi is going to die and Iida will risk his life to save Shoto.

First of all, I have to point out that Dabi is essentially unforgivable (don't come at me, I have a point). I don't mean this from a moral standpoint, but a narrative one. This to say I don't think Dabi is beyond redemption and deserves to suffer for his actions, what I'm saying here is that I don't think his character can be redeemed within the BNHA narrative. So, he either lives and some sort of redemption arc is hinted to signify that no one is beyond hope in this new society our young heroes are building (if this is the case he will be part of the Tordoroki dinning scene in some capacity), or he will die. Lately I believe he's not going to make it, tbh.

It all comes down to the one capital sin for BNHA: inaction in the face of suffering.

So let's start from the beginning. Izuku might still be trying to become the greatest, but he became a hero since episode one. Because when he saw someone suffering he didn't even think about it, his body simply moved on it's own. Our protagonist can't stand still just witnessing someone else's pain, he moves instinctively, he acts.

This isn't simply a facet of Izuku's character, it's his very essence. The first time we see him he's defending a weeping kid, when he first tapped into OFA consciousness he didn't even have a body, but watching Tenko cry made him charge forward. He wants to help the crying little boy every time, he can't help it.

Sometimes that behavior is self-destructive, reckless and even irresponsible. People around him have tried to make him stop and give him a hard time of jumping without thinking. But the only time he didn't act the narrative chastised him for it. He let Eri go with Chisaki, and even tho his teacher told him he did the right thing and his inaction was understandable, logical even, it was latter framed as a terrible mistake.

Mirio, following Nighteye's instructions, convinced him to let her go. By the end of the arc one lost his quirk and the other his life. Izuku only survived himself because he succeeded in saving Eri, if he would've failed to save her a second time, he would've died. Mirio only got his quirk back after he helped Eri recover and smile again.

All this to say, inaction, even when logical on even justifiable, is unacceptable in BNHA.

Regardless of what could be said about that particular brand of heroism, that's what the story is selling. Heroism is (among other things) sacrificing yourself for the sake of others. And it's not exclusive to "heroes" either, villains too have sacrificed themselves to save others, Mr. Compress and Twice being the most memorable examples.

Enter Dabi. Going a mile a minute in the opposite direction.

After waking up from his coma he goes back home and he sees for himself Endeavor's continuous and relentless abuse.

We know Shoto's probably crying there, he might've thrown up at this point, we've seen it happen before from his memories, but here we don't get a close up. Shoto is part of the background because Dabi didn't spare him a second thought, he didn't care for his brother's suffering, only his own. Shoto is in pain, but Dabi's obsession with Endeavor is so great that he can only see the eyes of the abuser and never turns to see his own brother how's hurting right before him.

A lot of characters have failed to save someone in the series, but they've failed because they either couldn't reach them in time, they weren't strong/fast enough, they were so terrified they froze, or the laws/their superiors prevented them from intervening. Dabi didn't have any of this barriers, he had the table set for becoming a hero himself. He was standing right there in the door frame, unafraid, but so incredibly angry and self absorbed that he couldn't look beyond how that scene affected him.

He saw someone in pain and did absolutely nothing to help, what's more, he didn't even notice. In that moment he could've stepped in (literally), he could've become his brother's hero, but instead he decided to turn his back. He focused solely on his hatred for the abuser and completely disregarded the victim. And that goes fundamentally against the entire premise of BNHA

Enter Iida. Because… well, he did all that too, didn't he?

In Hosu City he ditched his internship during an emergency and went after the Hero Killer instead. He was right there in the alleyway, and he did absolutely nothing to help the injured hero, what's more, he didn't even notice him. He focused on his hatred for Stain, and in doing so disregarded the victim completely. It wasn't until Stain pointed it out and he saw Izuku and Shoto risking their lives to save them both that he finally snapped out of it.

He was injured and ashamed and still he admitted he was in the wrong, he took a stand, he got stabbed twice saving Shoto, he stopped Stain (with Izuku's help), he accepted the consequences without complaint, he asked for forgiveness and still the narrative punished him for what he did. He got permanent damage on his left hand and refused to get treatment until he makes up for his faults. Until he becomes a hero.

So... they're two sides of the same coin. The only difference is that Iida recognized what he did as a mistake and wants to do better. I think the story is about to give him the chance to become the hero he wants to be. The only question is what price will he pay for it.

When the teams got divided at the beginning of this final battle I was wondering why was Iida on team Nomus/Dabi. His power is not particularly well suited for withstanding extreme heat (or extreme cold, for that matter), it seams like Inasa would've been a better option to assist Shoto against Dabi's flames. Iida couldn't even provide support during the battle.

So why is he there?

Because there's a glowing spot in Dabi's chest and I don't think it's the beginning of some sort of regeneration. It's a bomb. Maybe it's one of OFA's fail-safes and he will ultimately survive, or it's Dabi's own power and he will die by his own hand like he wanted, but it will certainly go boom. And when it does, the only one fast enough to get injured Shoto out of there in time

The funny thing is I'll go on reblog sprees, so I actually hadn't listened to the audio when I reblogged it. I was only informed of what it said when I saw others freak out about it.

Daily Show with Craig Kilborn. Why it's my fav? Well, aside from being adorable and iconic, it landed my youtube channel in the lost media wiki! How I found it is actually quite easy, when you look up fansites on the web archive you can do specific search for the files the web archive has saved from it. Turns out sometimes quicktime files work! Four parts were in canniballovers and one in dtisfu if I remember correctly, I just edited them together and posted it. Still wish someone could find it in better quality though. 😔

As to how I come across anything... it's lots of free time. Like I'm talking hours daily just picking a random lead and following it. It may be a website you think hasn't been thoroughly searched (I've tried fb, ig, twitter, worthpoint, ebay, wordpress, tripod, weebly, various fansites on webarchive, footage.net, bilibili/baidu, vimeo, dailymotion, flickr, a load of sketchy other websites I don't remember anymore... basically trey parker has brought me to places I wouldn't go with a gun...) a combination of words, a new search engine that may give u different results (I've tried the ones listed in the lost media wiki guide, my favorite is startpage). Using targeted searching like "word" or site:x "word" or "word combo" before:year, basically trying to make google your bitch. I also use gettyimages like a visual wiki of events Trey's been to+the date, it's quite useful... ik you didn't ask the "how" part but aaaa I like talking about it 😭 I have a lot of fun. Even though sometimes I just come up empty handed even after hours of research. More often than not tbh. - not to be the astrology bitch but the Aries rising energy in her 🥴 she definitely at least has Aries in her big three there's no way I would be this attracted to her otherwise

- she's wayy more ready for a relationship then Na Hwajin. Like, she's not actively looking for it, she's confident in herself and can admit her faults and call out others-please just date me ma'am I'll go to therapy for you

- She really looks up to Na Hwajin and this extends to relationships-she would have doubts of the relationship if Na disapproved of them. (To be honest idk if she'd ever get into a relationship that Na would disapprove of since he's mentioned he trusts her conviction multiple times. She's a great judge of character.)

- that being said if her s.o was insecure in the relationship she'd be quick to shut that shit down. If it were her strength they were insecure about she'd find it childish, but resign herself to reassuring them that she doesn't want an s.o that can protect her from baddies- she's been trained to do so from her special forces days. I'm gonna be honest, I've got no damn clue.

I'm super flexible, so I think it depends on what you (or any person who wants to write with me) wants to do. I promise if I follow you I have intentions of writing, but I follow a lot of people (took a 20 minute break to unfollow inactive blogs while writing this lmao), so things get jumbled.

If you want to plot, I'm totally up for plotting. Obviously this involves messaging, and my IMs are always open, so feel free to jump in! I will say that I'm awful at responding to messages and have a habit of leaving things hanging, so don't get deterred/upset if I suddenly stop responding. It's not you, it's the ADHD. I get distracted easily, think about responding and then don't, or just forget. I struggle to string a sentence together in a single sitting most days and if you want to have a convo with me I'll probably need your help with keeping it going a little because it is NOT my forte.

I'm cool with turning asks into threads. I tend to try to leave them open so that they can be continued (if you're into that sort of thing). On the other end, if there's something you've answered from me that you want me to continue, feel free to ask me to to! (No guarantee, obviously, but if I know you want me to that's nice to hear).

I haven't reblogged any memes in a while because my inbox is overflowing a bit.
