"it'd be so unfair and unethical of me to bring a child into this evil dying world" said jessica from the suburbs of maine
listen if you don't personally want kids that's cool that's fair that's totally fine and no ifs and about about that but please miss me with the ideological anti-natalism like
our ancestors and contemporaries have chosen to persist and believe in humanity in the face of chattel slavery and famine and genocide and abject poverty so stop condemning procreation there is really no justifiable reason to say "hey let's totally give up on the world"
#you sound stupid#being fundamentally anti-kid and anti-future#because the woRLd iS So bAd#the world has actually never been better than now#what gives you the right to hopelessness???#people who have suffered a billion times worse than you regardless of religion and ideology and chosen to press on#anti natalism#antinatalism#humanity#genocide#dystopia#extinctionism#procreation#having kids#childfree#children#parenthood

If MC had children with the RO's would they be half hel spawn or human?.
Generally, they'd be mostly human but with abilities similar to their inhuman parent—though not quite as powerful. That said, it can vary from child to child; some might be born with more pronounced monstrous traits/stronger abilities, whilst others might appear almost entirely human, showing only very minor helspawn traits.
It's worth noting however that the chances of a helvling being able to produce offspring are... extremely slim. It's also something that will not come up in game (at least, not in relation to the main character).

Can't believe the shoes trick actually works
"Don't take off the shoes when you get home if you need to do stuff or else it's over"
I started organized my room right away, I was stopped in the middle for lunch and now I'm back and I actually continue to organize the room? Adhd Procrastination and being tired take thatt
Another tip is if you don't understand time and you can't be "I'm gonna clean up for 20 minutes" and then never start
Put on an album, a musical, a podcast, a YouTube video assay, a something you kinda know what time it takes and start doing stuff, if you finish early you get the rest of the media to hear/watch and if it's done and you're not you can either stop, take a break, or finish with the thing untill next time, any progress is better then no progress
#real actual tips#yeo#i want to stop wearing shoes but my desk is horrible full of misplaced stuff#i will not turn in the computer I'm strong I'm strong i will finish this first#aa#adhd#procreation#cleaning your room#organizing#it's not easy to start#so make it a continuation#adhd tips#or sm#idk how u make people find ur post#it's working first time sooo

Note: Vecna, the body horror... husband. Nothing tentacular happens, but it’s mentioned. That and breeding.
Imagine Vecna feeling a special connection to you.
A visceral wasteland should have been terrifying. Voracious looking fauna and flora. Decidedly un-mammalian beasts attempting mimicry anyway. Prehensile tendrils that needed to be quickly side-stepped. Everything viscid.
Nothing seemed to have eyes. They didn’t need them to sense your warm body. It was intriguing. You didn’t just stumble into an alternate dimension. No, you fell through the rabbit hole into a one-of-a-kind biome.
Not quite fell. Ascended.
It almost felt like a higher plane of existence. Where did that feeling come from? You were the only sapient being in the Upside Down.
Right?
Some of these things were parasitic. They infested brains. If not dewormed, hosts melted and melded into abominations that put the Thing to shame. Well, maybe not. The Thing from Another World’s remake was horrifying. Made the Upside Down feel almost homey. Or fantastical. Or fantastically horrifying. Like an album cover from some band Eddie Munson was into.
You shook your head. Maybe the air here wasn’t doing you any favors.
An undercurrent of… resignation? No, determination. Determination to continue. By myself. A party of one. An undercurrent- Nothing’s current here. It’s apocalyptic. Post-apocalyptic. A billion years from the destruction of Hawkin-
Either way, it was good you were wearing a similar color scheme to the landscape. Land-of-the-deadscape. Made you feel safer. Made you look like you belonged. Even when you reached the elevated figure.
Unsure how to proceed, neither of you moved.
Now, this guy actually had eyes. You assumed he was dead. (After first wondering if he was an idol. Chiseled by some doomsday cult.) Punctured by tentacles. When Vecna’s lids moved, you sighed.
No red irises. No all-black peepers. No hollowed sockets. His baby blues were the most normal thing in the Upside Down. Was he flayed? A member of the Flayed? The sole survivor of the Mind Flayer’s liquidation?
“Hi, I’m ______,” slipped out.
You couldn’t help it. You were just so relieved to see another human. Even one so corpse-like. He wasn’t half-dead. Or, at least, didn’t seem to be. Then again, maybe he wasn’t in control of his body.
Maybe his skin wasn’t always that way, your mind whispered. What was up with his body, anyway? Your gaze slid down. No nipples, no navel, no genitalia. Probably no finger- or toeprints. A mental image of him on a throne, like the Horned King, holding out a hand made you bite the corner of your mouth. He probably wouldn’t hold hands, let alone want your lips on his.
You looked at him the same way he looked at spiders. More or less. Too fascinated to be scared. If anything, you looked concerned. Like you knew what he’d once been. You seemed to be having trouble figuring out whether he belonged here or not. Vecna’s expression didn’t soften, but his heart did.
One flitted to his last conversation with Eleven. His fraternal behavior. All for naught. That’s what he thought after she shoved him into the Upside Down. Now she wouldn’t get to have you as a sister-in-law.
…humans are a unique type of pest. Multiplying…
Well, he could make you something better than human. Make you make something better than human. Of course, he’d need to utilize tentacles for insemination. At first. Then maybe try it out with more Flayed.
If his favorite arthropods were insects, particularly social insects, he might’ve called you his queen. Too bad female spiders were just called that, female spiders. Not a cute name like doe, jill, or vixen. And baby animal names sounded too saccharine. At least ones for mammals. Spiderling, maybe. Unless that’s what a term of endearment you wanted to save for your offspring.
“Henry,” he rasped. Peter Ballard stayed in the lab. Unless maybe you had orderly fantasies. Or were just curious about what he looked like post-banishment.
Wet dreams would be even more fun to infest a brain with than premortem nightmares.

Why do people have an issue agreeing with the fact that parents have chosen so that their children suffer and die? If we assume they weren't forced to have children, but chosen to, and if we assume they were aware of the consequences, which everyone old enough to procreate has to be, then they have chosen suffering and death for their children. Don't shy away from this fact.

"The tribe Euglossini, in the subfamily Apinae, commonly known as orchid bees or euglossine bees, are the only group of corbiculate bees whose non-parasitic members do not all possess eusocial behavior."
Wikipedia
"The perfume that male orchid bees create by collecting scents from the flowers they visit is designed to make females choose them rather than another mate.
Male orchid bees collect raw materials from multiple sources, including the orchid flowers they pollinate. These are used to concoct perfume mixtures that are stored in specialised hind-leg pouches (...)."
"The composite odour created by combining different molecules allows communication of more integrated information, such as how suitable a male is to be a father (...)."

I think it's optimal if we start off in this world with two parents. A mother(female) and a father(male) who love and RESPECT each other and whose number one mission when creating you, is to devote themselves to your wellbeing. To bring you into the world because they want to love you with all their heart. Not to continue a family line, or as an act of rebellion or resilience, or as a means to acquire money, or a status symbol, nor as an accident or a result of violence.
Anything else besides unconditional love and respect as a reason for creating life is, imo, going to be creating the struggle issues, that the child will carry, often for the rest of their lives (which is where most of us are lol)

HOMILY for 6th Thu per annum (I)
Gen 9:1-13; Ps 102; Mark 8:27-33
The reading from Genesis is full of little nuggets of truth, intriguing details which might distract us from the basic truth that is being conveyed, which is that God is the Lord of Life. He is the Giver of all life, and as such, life and the lifeblood of creatures is sacred. In particular God gives life to men and women who are made in his image precisely so that they can mirror his activity, and give life and perpetuate the human race. Hence, we’re called to be fruitful and multiply, to spread life. And because human beings are made in God’s own image, so we’re made to enjoy life from God not just for our current lifetime in this world but, moreover, through our immortal souls conjoined to our bodies raised up at the resurrection of the dead, we are meant to enjoy being alive in God eternally. God, then, is the Life, and as such he is the God of the living, giving life and sustaining life and protecting life, especially the eternal life of the human person.
The sign of the bow in the sky is a beautiful reminder of this fact, that God gives life to all living creatures, and he promises to sustain and not destroy life. After all, who, after a storm, is not uplifted by the sight of the rainbow? The rainbow, then, is the ensign of God’s promise of life and a reminder for us to be fruitful; a sign of hope and a reminder that God is faithful to his promises even when we are unfaithful and fall into sin. Never, then, should the rainbow be appropriated as the ensign of sinful behaviour contrary to God’s design, nor should it become a sign celebrating those whose actions would be inherently contrary to human fruitfulness, or thus lead one away from life.
Yet, even when humankind turned away from God, and even when we rejected God’s designs and were in our sins, God sent his Son to redeem us. So the Gospel tells of the costliness of the life promised to us. The rainbow, some scholars have said, is in fact the warrior’s bow which God places in the sky, but it is now pointing towards the heavens, to himself, so that God’s response to sin is not to send floods to destroy the earth but rather to find the remedy to sin in himself. God is Life, and so when Man chooses death, he sends the One who is the Life and who alone can defeat death and sin.
Thus “the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.” God in the person of Jesus Christ, dies in the flesh, gives his life so that we sinners can be saved from eternal death and truly live. So Christ sheds his lifeblood for our sake, and under sacramental form gives us his blood to drink so as to restore the image of God in us which had been defaced by sin. For “the life is in the blood”, Scripture says, and so Christ our God, willing to give us a share in his divine life, says: “Take this, all of you, and drink: for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant”. For “unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.” (Jn 6:53b)

You cant be "gender atheist" or whatever by further enforcing social distinction on the basis of sex, that's "gender theocracy"
We can't get rid of the social distinction until we stop socializing boys and girls differently. Until there is no patriarchy at all.
I'd love for there not to be an important social distinction one day. But I can't pretend there isn't, and that we don't currently need words to describe it. That's like pretending Christianity doesn't exist because I don't subscribe to Christianity. It still has an effect on society and the way people behave in general. Refusing to acknowledge it doesn't make it go away.
#plus#acknowledging biological differences will always be important#for healthcare#sexuality#procreation#etc#biological differences are sex not gender
