Didn't understand a thing in Programming class as it was based on last lecture and I didn't attend last lecture.... And it seems like it's getting less and less students in that class.... No wonder 😅

Felt so tired for most of the day, so I stayed in bed during the lecture...

First snack of the day: Camembert something sticks?? I still haven't figured out what it is exactly, but it's delicious

Then cooked lunch. Tried out new noodles that I got a while ago, cooked them in mozzarella water, with some onion. Was actually very soft, juicy, and delicious! Together with some leftover karaage from yesterday

Sociology class about society and culture, and a discussion about cultural appropriation

Trying these chocolate cookie sandwich for the first time. It's chocolatey and with oats, and not sweet at all, the taste is amazing, and nicely crunchy, 5/5 also for the simplicity. But- why is every single sandwich wrapped again in plastic?? This is so typical Japanese...

Coming home, working on sociology report (about symbolic interactionism) - deadline being tonight midnight; only had half of the minimum words yet when starting working on it

Sugar and butter bread chips were delicious too. Not healthy at all but they feel nice to munch on while doing assignments, 4/5

hyperfixated on this game so hard i tried to recreate ac syndicate's animus database using html css and js👍

i will make this responsive though, i've only started doing the frontend but i'll also start doing the backend as soon as i finish this

basically this is gonna be a website that will allow you to create a database of your assassin's creed OCs (btw this was inspired by @gwen-the-assassin's idea <33) and help you with worldbuilding and making AUs (i know the ac fanon wiki already exists for that but i wanted to make the experience of keeping a database more immersive u know....)

this might take a while to be completed, but I'll try to post updates on it as much as possible! if there are any programmers/web developers in the ac fandom that want to contribute to this project plsplspls DM me!!

I don’t usually talk about coding on main, but I really think people would enjoy it more if they were taught what they could do as well as how to code. Like you can build anything. Anything at all you could possibly want. Programming can be a creative medium for the logically minded, and coding classes almost never actually embrace that.

I’ve built so many projects just from silly jokes. Made a whole joke text adventure game about being trapped in an elevator with some game characters. The discord bots I maintain to this day started as “haha what if [Game NPC] was in our server”. If an idea strikes me as fun I’ll code it, the same way an artist will draw a silly doodle or a writer will write a funny joke fic. It’s not just a get a job skill, you actively create things with code. So create! And have fun doing it!

I really think that’s the secret to truly enjoying programming. I love it, it’s a passion of mine. And it’s all because my first teacher set me free to create with it. He would let me expand on assignments however I wanted when I finished early and encouraged exploring what else I could do. If more people taught coding like that, I think there would be so many more who shared my passion for it.

Thursday, 31 Oct, FallA Week 5

Overslept and missed my Programming class completely -.- For my defense, the alarm didn't even ring because of battery saving mode. Which is weird, because I didn't have problems like this before, but oh well...

Sociology class about different concepts: Symbolic interactions (1), functionalism (2), rational choices (3), and postmodern (4). 1 had to debate with 3, and 2 with 4. Was in group 2. Basically just discussing what idea is better/makes more sense.

First everyone in the group is discussing their topic, then one note taker and one speaker get determined within the group. The speaker is the main presenter during the debate but the other group members are allowed to argue too.

Reminder for Sociology assignment (report) until 14th November.

Wanted to write and submit a homework (summary for Renewable energy class) in the evening. Only to realise apparently I mistook the deadline - which was yesterday. Never happened to me before that I missed a deadline. Guess it meant less work for me though...........

Instead started writing the summary for Food safety class. Very bad progress but at least I started doing it.

Also still two other big assignments until next Wednesday....
