I talked about this a bit in my stream on Monday but I really like viktors cane as a prop. I think it’s a very strong example of a prop that is attached to a character that grows and evolves with the character as the story progresses. In season 1 part 1, we see it as a basic cane, that Viktor uses for some support but doesn’t completely rely on. Then, in part 2 as his illness progresses, the same cane has been modified to be a full crutch that can support more of his weight. Briefly in part 3 he is without it as he runs for the first time, but quickly once he resolves to destroy the hexcore it returns, and we see him holding onto it even when he’s sitting down. Then, in season 2 parts 1 & 2, the hexcore has changed the crutch into a shepherds crook. Viktor, despite possibly having stronger legs at this point, still uses it to walk. Personally I think the hexcore learned from the end of last season that the cane was a comfort to Viktor and adapted it on purpose for him to have and feel more steady in its mission, but I don’t have enough coherent thought right now to say more on that. And finally, even once the arcane has fully changed viktors physical form, he still has the same cane! It’s entirely physically different now, but much like him as a character, at its core it’s still the same prop that we started with at the beginning.

Okay so this episode has put all my killer predictions into question.

Levi was my main suspect (followed shortly by Hu who seemingly has an alibi now) but with Levis confession at the end of the episode he seems significantly less suspicious to me.

Everyone is going to blame him whether or not he committed the murder which would be the exact opposite of what he would want if he was the culprit

It's got me thinking about why the hell he even admitted his secret at all. I don't think it was an impulsive decision made from guilt or something; The secret flat out says he didn't feel remorse from the murder and on top of that he was apologizing for derailing the conversation again. So why would he do it?

Before Levi confessed he was apologizing for not being more useful in the trial, and when he did confess the cast was at a point where there were no more clues to narrow down the who the culprit is.

SO my guess is that he knows something important that can only make sense if the rest of the cast knows his secret; Like maybe there are some parallels between this case and his own murder or about death in general?

Idk I'm just throwing ideas out there.

Beyond this I can't think of a reason for him to confess his secret unless it's absolutely necessary for him to do so.
