Psalm 10: God’s Response to the Wicked Now. Psalm 10 begins on a rather negative note, “Why, O Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?” This may seem negative, but it is also a very human reaction. At times, when we face trials and crisis, the Lord does seen to be far off and impersonal. This is especially true when we have to deal with those that reject the Lord. Verses 2 through 11 vividly describe a person who has no thought of the Lord, or his responsibilities to God. “His ways are always prosperous; he is haughty and your laws are far from him; he sneers at all his enemies. He says to himself, ‘Nothing will shake me I’ll always be happy and never have trouble.’ He says to himself, ‘God has forgotten; he covers his face and never sees.’” How many of us know people that reflect that attitude in their lives? When we look at unbelief and the evil actions that come from it, we may wonder why God allows this to happen. Why does He seem to stand off and watch?
Psalm 10: God’s Response to the Wicked Now
Today, it seems like the forces arrayed against the Lord’s people – the Church – are growing stronger. The doomsday prophets see the church in retreat. People challenge the fact that God is involved in the world of man today. “Look at the evil that exists. Look at how unfair things seem to be. Look at the people that seem to be doing just fine that never once thought about God or Jesus Christ.” These statements may be correct. There is a great deal of evil in the world. In fact, considering the nature of the world, it would be surprising if it was otherwise. However, the apparent strength of the opposition to Christ has nothing to do with the reality of God and His authority. What is David’s response to such thoughts? Verse 16 states, “The Lord is King for ever and ever….” Appearances are deceiving. Regardless how the world sees the present order, the Lord is King forever and ever. Simply because people may ignore that truth does not make it less real and true.
Psalm 10: God’s Response to the Wicked Now
One of the reasons why the Lord seems to stand back is His desire that all come to Him, and the Lord will give each person as many chances as possible to accept the offer of salvation. Peter wrote, “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends. With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” God is love, and He does love all people. That is why the offer of salvation is open to all. When we think that God does not seem to care, it may be that he is giving a person another chance to repent. As for us, we know that the Lord is King, and we know that we have an inheritance of eternal life. What can happen to us in this world that will change that? Can it be taken away or destroyed? No. There is nothing in this world that can affect our relationship with the Lord except ourselves. We can reject the offer that has been made; but other than that, our treasure is secure. Yes, as we have to face the day to day problems of life, we may echo the thoughts of David – “Why, O Lord, do you stand far off?” But as we consider the entire picture, we know better.
Psalm 10: God’s Response to the Wicked Now
God doesn’t stand far off. He is right here with us. Yes, we will have to face problems and trials. Yes, we will see injustice and tragedy in the world. God never promised to place us in a vacuum. But as we place our lives in the hands of our Lord, He will strengthen us and guide us to a more Christ-like life. The first verse of Psalm 10 began very negatively, but the last is a message of hope. “You hear, O Lord, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.” A final thought concerns verse 6 again. The wicked say, “Nothing will shake me; I’ll always be happy and never have trouble.” We know better. Such people are fooling themselves. Sooner or later, the sharp bite of despair will be felt. The words said with such arrogance in verse 6 are the words of youth and health. Everything in this life will surely pass away. Only the Lord stands forever. Only those that are joined to Him in Jesus Christ can say, “I will never be shaken!” That is a blessing that we need to remember.

I think my entire life for the past two or three years can be summed up like this:
Me: I don’t understand.
God:
Me: Explain please?
God:
Me: Okay but can You please say something - anything - to me?
God: Yeah sure. Just kick back and relax. I got this.
Me: …Excuse?!

Demons of the Hebrew Bible
Since today is also the day for Lord of Spiritsposting, I've decided to make a post I considered yesterday - the demons of the Hebrew Bible. This will be a long post, so I'm inserting a "Keep Reading".
Azazel: Appears only once in Leviticus 16, as the being in the wilderness to whom the goat with the people's sins laid on it in the Day of Atonement ritual is given (this isn't sacrifice, because the animal isn't killed or offered on an altar, among other things). Becomes a Devil figure in some later Jewish literature like the Book of Enoch, and is associated with deserts, sin and goats - the name literally means "the goat that goes away" (an archaic translation gives us the word "scapegoat"), and the seemingly-random reference to goat demons in Leviticus 17:7 comes just after Azazel's appearance.
Deber: The most prominent of the gang, appearing (usually in conjunction with other figures on this list) in Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Amos, Habakkuk and the Pentateuch a total of 49 times, usually unleashed as punishment for some sin by Israel (compare "handing people over to Satan" in St. Paul's letters - 1 Corinthians 5:5, 1 Timothy 1:20). A nocturnal demon of pestilence and destruction associated with the underworld in Canaanite mythology.
Hereb: Rendered as "the sword" in English; the next most prominent one, appearing 29 times and, like Deber, in conjunction with the others. A demon of violence and destruction associated with blood-drinking (Isaiah 34:5, Jeremiah 46:10) and flesh-eating (Deuteronomy 32:42, Jeremiah 12:12) and probably the rider on a red horse from Revelation 6:3-4.
Lilit: Appears just once, Isaiah 34:14, where she's dwelling in some ruins. Usually translated as "screech owl" or "night bird", but some use "Lilith". In Mesopotamian mythology, the lili are a class of nocturnal female demons associated who kill babies and are associated with owls, so the translation as "screech owl" is acceptable. The Songs of the Sage from the Dead Sea Scrolls refer to liliyot (feminine plural) as a class of demons: "And I, the Instructor, proclaim His glorious splendour so as to frighten and to te[rrify] all the spirits of the destroying angels, spirits of the bastards, demons, liliths, howlers...
Livyatan: Usually anglicised as Leviathan, and appears five times: Job 3:8 and chapter 41, Psalms 74:12-14 and 104:26 and Isaiah 27:1. Based on those appearances, he's a multi-headed fire-breathing sea serpent immune to weapons who battles with Yahweh and (of course) always loses. The myth of a god fighting a sea serpent is a staple of world mythology. Likely correlates to the beast from the sea of Revelation 13:1-10, since Leviathan is paired with a beast from the earth (Behemoth; Job 40:15-24) - also compare Revelation 13:4 ("Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”) to Job 41:33-34 ("On earth there is not his like, a creature without fear. He sees everything that is high; he is king over all the sons of pride").
Nephilim: Famously appear in Genesis 6:1-4 as the warriors born of the sons of God and the daughters of men, understood in Second Temple Jewish texts such as the Book of Enoch and the Septuagint to be giants born of fallen angels and human women. They appear by the name Anakim or Rephaim in Genesis 14:5, 15:20, Deuteronomy 1:28, 2:10-11, 2:20-21, 3:11, 3;13, 9:2 and Joshua 11:21-22, 12:4, 13:12, 14:12, 14:15 and 15:8 and war with giants appears in 2 Samuel 21:16-22, 1 Chronicles 20:4-8 and, of course, 1 Samuel 17 (the David and Goliath story).
Qeteb: Appears just 4 times (Deuteronomy 32:24; Psalm 91:6; Isaiah 28:2; Hosea 13:14), together with Deber in the Psalms and Hosea appearances and together with Resheph in Deuteronomy; if there's any lesson from this post so far, it's that plague demons hunt in packs. A diurnal plague demon whose name is rendered in English as "destruction"; nothing more to be said.
Ra'av: The third most prominent one, appearing 35 times; a famine demon whose name is rendered in English as "famine" or "hunger" who is unleashed on Israel as punishment together with (surprise!) Hereb and either Deber or Resheph. Probably the rider on a black horse from Revelation 6:5-6.
Rephaim: The spirits of dead kings who dwell in the underworld not doing much, translated in the ESV as shades and appearing in Isaiah 14:9 and 26:14; the same imagery and concept is being used by Ezekiel 32:20-30.
Resheph: A demon of plague and conquest worshipped as a god in Canaanite and Egyptian culture, depicted as a bearded archer on a white horse. Appears just 6 times in the Hebrew Bible (Deuteronomy 32:24; Habakkuk 3:5 Psalm 78:48; Job 5:7, Song of Songs 8:6); the name is rendered as "plague" or "pestilence" or occasionally "fire" or "sparks" because the name literally means "burning". Probably the rider on a white horse from Revelation 6:2.

ABADDON(APOLLYON)
Enn:Es na ayer Abaddon avage
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Other names:Appolyon, Apollyon, Appolion, Abbadan, Abbaton, Abadon
Originally, Abaddon was a place and not an angel or being. In rabbinic writings and the Old Testament, Abaddon is primarily a place of destruction and a name for one of the regions of Gehenna (see Hell). The term occurs six times in the Old Testament. In Proverbs 15:11 and 27:20, it is named with Sheol as a region of the underworld. In Psalm 88:11, Abaddon is associated with the grave and the underworld.
Abaddon (Apollyon) is the angel of death, destruction, and the netherworld. The name Abaddon is derived from the Hebrew term for “to destroy” and means “place of destruction.” Apollyon is the Greek name.
In magic Abaddon is often equated with Satan and Samael. His name is evoked in conjuring spells for malicious deeds. Abaddon is the prince who rules the seventh hierarchy of demons, the Erinyes, or Furies, who govern powers of, discord, war, and devastation.
In Job 26:6, Abaddon is associated with Sheol. Later, Job 28:22 names Abaddon and Death together, implying personified beings. In Revelation 9:10, Abaddon is personified as the king of the abyss, the bottomless pit of hell. Revelation also cites the Greek version of the name, Apollyon, probably a reference to Apollo, Greek god of pestilence and destruction.
Abaddon destroys false illusions and masks, however once the truth is revealed the foundation of truth is planted. He transforms the energy and core power can rise from the depth of our soul. Abaddon reveals the practitioners core power just as he crushes and destroys. The practitioners courage comes out a destroys the illusions. He is a powerful guide and imitates the journey through the depth of darkness. The journey of the abyss is one of countless trials and lessons. Abaddon is one is an incredible teacher and Advisor and reveals the truth of the dark depth within.
Call upon Abaddon for
⬩Courage
⬩Destroy false illusions
⬩Destroy masks
⬩Transformation
⬩Truth within even ones we don't wish to hear
⬩Ask him what else he will work with you on⬩

⬩It is important to learn protections before trying to work with any spirits. You can get tricksters and parasites if you don't.
Cleansings- cleaning your space of negative energies. You can burn herbs or incense for this.
Banishings- forcing negative energies out of your space. The lesser banishing ritual is one of the most commonly used.
Warding- wards keep negative energy out of your space. Amulets, sigils and talismans do this.
Set up a your space and do a cleanse and banishing. Have wards up in your home. Meditation is to calm yourself and get your mind ready. The sigil (symbol) is what you draw on paper. The enn is what you chant or say to call forth the spirit.⬩

The Three Angels Messages Lesson 02: No Sympathy for the Devil
Revelation 14:8 - And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
The second angel’s message seems very complicated at first.  It definitely deals with a lot of symbols.  In order to understand this Bible verse, let’s take a closer look at the following keywords:
Babylon
Fallen
Wine
Wrath
Fornication
Let’s read together Genesis 9:7-17; Genesis 10:10; Genesis 11:1-4; Isaiah 14:13-14; and Daniel 1:2.
If we are to talk about Babylon, we need to also discuss Babel. Both kingdoms were founded in the land of Shinar.  Babel can be considered the archetype for all the worldly kingdoms that followed it.
The story of the Tower of Babel is one of the most famous stories in the Bible.  Have you ever considered the builders’ motivations for building the tower in the first place?
The builders did not trust God’s promise to never destroy the world again with a flood.  They wanted to survive another flood on their own power.
The builders also did not want to follow God’s command to be fruitful and multiply across the earth.  Rather, they wanted to build a tower whose “top is in the heavens”  and make a name for themselves.  The builders seem to be motivated by pride and perhaps to even take the worship of God for themselves.
Let’s read together Exodus 20:2-6; 1 Chronicles 9:1; Jeremiah 16:18; Jeremiah 50:38; and Daniel 3:1-7.
The story of Daniel’s three friends and the fiery furnace is another well-known Bible story.  Have you considered what was Nebuchadnezzar’s motivation for setting up the golden image in the first place?  He wanted everyone in his empire to acknowledge Babylon as supreme, even over any god his subjects might be worshiping.  If anyone refused to bow before Nebuchadnezzar’s golden idol, they were to be killed by being tossed into a fiery furnace.
Nebuchadnezzar had essentially set up a false religious system of worship enforced by civil authority.   This system forced people to choose between dying for their religious faith or to compromise that faith in order to live.
Let’s read together 2 Samuel 1:27; Isaiah 21:9; Jeremiah 51:8-9, 47; Daniel 5:25-30; and Revelation 18:2.
“Babylon is fallen, is fallen.”  God ultimately judged Babylon for its idolatry and persecution of God’s people.  Babylon was conquered by the Medo-Persians in 539 BC.
Let’s read together Proverbs 20:1; 23:29-35; 31:3-5; and Jeremiah 51:7.
Alcoholic wine in the Bible is always viewed in a negative light.  Alcoholic wine clouds and even perverts judgment.   Note that the Bible does talk about unfermented non-alcoholic wine more positively, but that is a Bible study for another time.
Let’s read Psalm 75:8; Jeremiah 23:15; and Hosea 4:11-12
Prophetically speaking, wine also represents God’s judgment against wickedness and  idolatry.  You definitely do not want to drink this wine!
Let’s read together Exodus 15:6-7; 32:9-12; Numbers 11:33; 16:46; Deuteronomy 9:7-8; 2 Kings 22:13-17; Ezra 5:12; Jeremiah 44:7-9; and Romans 1:18.
What is wrath?  The Merriam-Webster Dictionary offers two definitions that are relevant to our Bible study today.  Wrath can be defined as a “strong vengeful anger or indignation (anger aroused by something unjust, unworthy, or mean).”  Wrath can also be defined as “retributory punishment for an offense or a crime; divine punishment.”
God’s wrath is His response to sin.  In the Old Testament, God’s wrath consumed the Egyptian army chasing the children of Israel.  God’s wrath was also aroused when the children of Israel committed sins or fell into idolatry.  God’s wrath led to the destruction of the temple of Jerusalem and the Babylonian captivity.
Let’s read together Psalm 21:8-9; Zephaniah 1:1-18; Matthew 3:7; Luke 3:7; Romans 2:5; Ephesians 5:6; and Colossians 3:6.
God’s wrath is also associated with judgment.  God’s wrath will be poured in full on the unrighteous at Judgment Day.
Let’s read together Numbers 16:46; 2 Chronicles 12:6-9; 32:25-26; Psalms 78:32-39: 85:2-4; and 106:23.
Despite what many people believe, God does not want to pour His wrath on people.  In the Old Testament, Aaron and Moses both interceded on behalf of the children of Israel to avert God’s wrath.  God is willing to spare sinners from His wrath when they humble themselves before Him.  Whether it was the people of Israel or a king like Hezekiah, God was willing to grant mercy to all who came to Him earnestly and asked forgiveness of their sins.
Let’s read together Isaiah 53:4-6, 10; John 3:16, 36; Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; and 1 John 4:10.
God has done everything He could to shield us from His wrath.  God loves us so much that He gave His only son Jesus to die for our sins.  Jesus is our ultimate intercessor.  We only have to confess and repent of our sins and call upon Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
Let’s read together Ezekiel 23:16-18; Hosea 4:11-12; Isaiah 23:17; and  John 8:41.
What is fornication?  The Merriam-Webster Dictionary gives the definition as “sexual intercourse between two persons who are not married to each other.”
The Bible likened God’s people (the church) to a woman (Jeremiah 6:2).  Paul the Apostle described the church as the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:22-33).  Therefore, spiritual fornication would be the church embracing someone or something other than Christ.  In the Old Testament times, the people of Israel strayed from God and worshiped various idols and other false gods.
Let’s read together Matthew 24:24; John 4:24; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; 1 John 2:15-23; Revelation 17:1-6; and Revelation 18:3, 9.
The book of the Bible describes a harlot woman who represents a false worship of Christ. This church outwardly seems Christian, but in actuality, it does not follow Jesus in spirit and truth.  Many people will be deceived and fall into Babylon.
Let’s read together Deuteronomy 31:19 and Revelation 18:1-8.
What does the second angel’s message mean?
All false systems of worship will be judged.  Salvation by works, the idea you can make it to heaven on your own merits, cannot save you.  Salvation in sin, the idea that once you are saved, you are always saved, will lead you to be lost.  All these forms of worship will lead you to Babylon.
Even if you are worshiping at the “right” church the “right” way, you can have Babylon in your heart.  If you harbor pride in your heart or you esteem anything in the world more than God, then you are in spiritual Babylon.
If you find yourself in Babylon, what are you to do?  God wants you to leave Babylon right now!  Jesus is calling you to worship Him in spirit and in truth.  He does not want you to face God’s wrath.  Repent and turn to Christ your Savior!
Friend, will you share the second angel’s message with others?

Lessons from the Beatitudes Part 3
Blessed are the Meek
Tumblr media
Matt. 5:3 “Blessed are those who recognise they are spiritually helpless.
The kingdom of heaven belongs to them.
4 Blessed are those who mourn.
They will be comforted.
5 Blessed are those who are gentle (meek). They will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for God’s approval.
They will be satisfied.
7 Blessed are those who show mercy.
They will be treated mercifully.
8 Blessed are those whose thoughts are pure.
They will see God.
9 Blessed are those who make peace.
They will be called God’s children.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for doing what God approves of.
The kingdom of heaven belongs to them.
- God’s Word Translation
The Blessing of God
The Beatitudes or ‘Blessed Sayings’ means ‘blessed is’ or ‘happy is’. Happy unfortunately has lost its meaning in modern times and is now used for a superficial moment of contentment. Someone has said that if would mean much more if we could qualify it by saying. “Oh how incredibly happy!” It means supremely blessed or fortunate. The One who is doing the blessing has our absolute good as his highest interest.
When God blessed Adam in Genesis 1:22 and Abraham in Genesis 12:2-3 he meant that everything else around them would be working together to bring about God’s favour.
We should live in a favourable and prosperous state that is not based on worldly circumstances but on divine conditions. These conditional blessings are frequent in Hebrew scriptures, including the wisdom literature, especially the Psalms (Job 5:17; Ps. 1:1; 32:1-2; 33:12; 41:1; 106:3; Prov. 8:34; 28:14).
The Beatitudes contrast Jesus' values with the values of the world
Jesus’ Values vs World’s Values
Poor in spirit Self confident, complete
Mourning Pleasure seeking, hedonistic
Meek Proud, self importance
Hunger for God Self made, self reliant
Merciful Assertive, forceful
Pure in heart Hidden, secretive
Peacemakers Competitive, aggressive
Persecuted Popular, crowd pleasing
Like most of Jesus’ teaching the beatitudes are contrary to the values that the world offers [1]. Leaders must serve if they want to rule; if they want to live they must first die; if they want to receive then they must to give away; if they want to be made worthy they should first recognise their unworthiness; if they want to be happy they first need make others happy.
Blessed are the Meek
In the church today there is little emphasis on humility or self-emptying. There are many Christian books on how to be happy, how to be successful, how to overcome problems, and so on. But sadly there are very few books in print on how to empty ourselves, how to deny ourselves, or how to take up our cross.
There are numerous commands about humbling ourselves (Matt. 18:4; 23:12; James 4:10; 1 Pet. 5:5).
The first step in experiencing humility is to turn our eyes away from ourselves and to look to God. It is the vision of an infinitely Holy God in all His sinless purity and perfection that enables us to see ourselves as sinners. To seek humility, we do not look at ourselves to find our faults, but to the perfection of God. Jesus invites the weary and overburdened of this world to take upon themselves his yoke and discover that he is “gentle and humble in heart.”[2]
People are increasingly aggressive and unkind (including Christians) to each other. There is a real need to nurture a gentle and kind spirit.
Ephesians 4:2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Titus 3:1 Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, 2 to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men.
๏ Meekness is learning to be kind
๏ Meekness is learning to not take offence
๏ Meekness is is not being angry or aggressive
๏ Meekness is not allowing people to affect our mood
Meekness should not be confused with weakness. Jesus didn’t let people control him. He was quite willing to confront and challenge. He wouldn't let them ‘make him king’, he overturned the tables when His Father’s house was being desecrated, he strongly denounced the Pharisees because of their hypocrisy.
Meekness does not mean that we fail to challenge, correct, rebuke or speak the truth in love.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction.
‘For They will Inherit the Earth’
Psalm 37:11 But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace.
To inherit the land has a twofold application, present and future.
Those that are at peace with themselves will be at peace with their surroundings. The world will be enjoyed and appreciated so much more when we have a tranquil spirit.
Romans 8:6 The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
His kingdom principles define and shape us. This is the meekness to which Jesus calls his followers. It is the meek who will “inherit the land and enjoy great peace”. It is those of a ‘gentle spirit’ (NEB), not the grasping or the greedy, who will receive from life its most satisfying rewards. The aggressive are unable to enjoy their ill–gotten gains. Only the meek have the capacity to enjoy in life all those things that provide genuine and lasting satisfaction.[3]
One day the earth will be transformed where the children of God will live. Those who are transformed by Christ will inherit the earth.
Amen

I was thinking more about the coffee theory, particularly the symbolism of the coffee. Three big things that stand out.
The coffee order: oat milk latte with dash of almond.
2. The phrase: “Give me Coffee or Give me Death”
3. Metaton saying: “Does anyone ever choose Death?” “So Predictable” and Crowley saying: “He’s unpredictable”
With the coffee order two theological references stand out to me, the lesson of the almond tree and Psalms 25:7-17. First of the hebrew of the word “almond” can also be read as “to watch” and throughout the story god is assuring Jeremiah that he is always watching and intends to keep his word. “I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.” (Jeremiah 1:9-10) This is very ominous in the context of the story as he seeks to uproot and bring calamity upon Israel for a better tomorrow. Just like how God wanted to bring about armageddon in season one. Then later on it says, “the Lord watched (shaked) upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all His works which He does: for we obeyed not His voice.” (Daniel 9:14). Metaton is God’s voice, rejection of hin his “almond branch” is a rejection of gods will.
Then the Psalms passage distinctly reminds me of Aziraphale. In the beginning its begs forgiveness for “sowed wild oats” then says “plan only the best for me, god. God is fair and just; he corrects the misdirected, sends them in the misdirected”. At this point in good omens Aziraphale is largely seen traitor and Metaton is quite literally leading him to heaven in accordance to his plans. (I’m willing to admit this part may be a bit of a stretch though)
It’s the last three lines that stand out to me in particular. “If I keep my eyes on god, I won’t trip over my own feet. Look at me and help me! I’m all alone and in big trouble. My heart and kidneys are fighting each other; Call a truce to this civil war”
For reference heart and kidneys are often used in conjunction to one another in the bible. The heart often representing one’s spirit and psyche whereas the kidney representing one’s turmoil, temperament, and sometimes moral discernment. So take that information as you wish.
Then theres the phrase “Give me Coffee or Give me Death” a play on the phrase “Give me Liberty or give me Death.” Aziraphale is presented two positions in the situation, accept the coffee (god’s will) or go against it and receive death. As Metaton predicted he chooses coffee, almost hinting at Aziraphale following a path that’s already been planned out in front of him.
then of course theres the “so predictable” “he’s unpredictable” quotes which I think are pretty straight forward. There’s more to Metaton than meets the eye and distrust is being placed upon him.
I don’t know if this all completely makes sense but it’s been on my mind and I had to tell someone. 🤧

Gift Ideas For Your Gemini - December 🛵 2023:
What they want: 10 Wands & Judgement rev
What they need: The High Priestess & Ace of Swords
The thought behind it: Temperance rev & The World
Main Energy: King of Wands & 5 Wands rev
Gift ideas for Gemini:
On brand for Gemini, I’m getting two whole personalities of people here. One set of Geminis need spirituality in order to realize things about themselves, they feel like it’s them against the whole world - but it’s all in their head. The other set of Geminis have already come a long way, have spiritually awakened, and only don’t want to repeat old lessons, patterns of behaviors, they don’t want to be seen in “the old way” & they want it to end for good. Same goal I guess, but some are much further along and others are just beginning. Some are pissed off by an ending of some kind, and others are embracing it. Gemini wants to shed their skin, permanently, or is fighting this every step of the way and doesn’t have a choice. I keep hearing “there’s no competition”, and there never has been. Like they’re a winner all by themselves, or they *are* winning, *are* seen as the thing they want to be seen as…realizing there’s nothing to compete over & releasing some inner conflict. That has to be something personal, The High Priestess, unless you would know what that is, or what that has to do with gifts 🤷🏻‍♀️
1. An inspirational book, quotes (pretty sure I said the exact same thing last year 💯), something related to Psalms or spiritual practices, chakras, astrology, tarot, world religions, the whole variety of religious texts from all over the world (collector’s edition box set), even philosophy and “predictions” or prophecies relating to ancient religions, something meaningful that helps them wake up to things they already intuitively know to be true but could secretly need validation about. The deeper truth. What does it all mean? Depends who you ask. Being Gemini, they’d probably ask everyone.
2. Something to build up their confidence & make them feel powerful, attractive, charming & ready to lead. Something that says “I’m not bossy, I’m the boss”, that’s what came to mind. Things that say “Boss” or “Boss Bitch” on them. Rather than feeling like everyone is against them & reacting from that emotional stance. I’m getting leather jackets, a new tattoo, piercings, LASIK or some kind of cosmetic work (if they’re into that), an update to their style in some way, that represents not only how they’ve changed but how they want to continue changing, the outside matching the inside, rather than the same old thing - aesthetically.
3. Video equipment, microphone, ring light, makeup or musical instruments, I’m hearing they want to “conquer” something, that gets them a lot of *positive* attention. They could be turning to social media for that, with The World here, maybe starting a TikTok or some channel to showcase what they’re good at or enjoy. If you know what that is, supplies for that would fit here, it could be anything. I’m getting writing what they know, or writing a script. Could be a book, I heard script. They’re probably keeping a lot to themselves, realizing truths about themselves and what they know they want. Supporting their dreams is the best option 💚

This morning was so much fun! Julien and I went biking with our grandparents on one of the bike trails in a nearby park. I haven't been biking in so long, and I really enjoyed it! I usually ride my bike to the park behind our house when I play to go on a nature walk or something, but it had been a while since I used the actual bike trail. I was surprised my grandparents were still up for biking and when my grandpa suggested it, I thought he was joking. He told me, "I'm not old yet." My grandparents are in their late 60s, but they are very active. I shouldn't have been surprised.
I still cannot believe that I will start school work again in two days! How does time go by so quickly? I will try to do a goal review tomorrow for my summer goals and then set new ones on Monday for the first half of my school year.

The Coming of the Son of Man
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The Lesson of the Fig Tree
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. — Matthew 24:29-35 | Authorized King James Version (AKJV) The Holy Bible: Authorized King James Version; Cambridge University Press, the Crown’s patentee in the UK. Genesis 8:1-10:32, Matthew 4:12-25, Psalm 4:1-8, Proverbs 1:20-23
Today, is the fourth day of January, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is wonderful to gather around the Global Campfire together, today. There's room for everybody. Let’s just kind of cozy up, settle-in and take the next step forward. Our fourth step together, which will allow us to talk about the book of Proverbs, when we get there today. And then we’ll kind of be moved into what we are reading right now. So, let's…let’s dive into the book of Genesis. We’re reading from the New Living Translation this week, and today, Genesis chapters 8, 9 and 10.
Introduction to the Book of Proverbs:
Okay, this brings us to the book of Proverbs. And this will be the last time until we reach another book that we’ll kind of dive in and talk. We normally just kind of take the next step forward and reflect back at the end. But we began four books on the same day, January 1st, just a few days ago. And so, we’re just moving in and so we've come to Proverbs. And we've spent some time in Proverbs over the last couple of days and we’re probably familiar with Proverbs as a book, and Proverbs as pieces of wisdom, which is largely what Proverbs contains, practical wisdom that has stood the test of time and lasted for thousands of years. The book of Proverbs, contained in the Old Testament of the Bible, is a part of a grouping of books in the Old Testament known as wisdom literature. So, like other books in the wisdom literature genre would be like Ecclesiastes, the book of Job, part of the book of Psalms. They're called wisdom literature because they're intended to speak a direct lesson, rather than a like a narrative story or allegory. So, like if we’re reading narrative, we’re listening to the story and gleaning meaning from what happens in the story. If we’re reading allegory than we’re looking for the symbolism that's going on and how things are connected and sort of what's…what's underneath the surface. Proverbs is speaking directly what has proven to be true, what wisdom has stood the test of time. And so, it speaks directly what it's trying to teach, for the most part. As far as who wrote these Proverbs, most are attributed to the wise man known as Solomon, who soon enough, we will learn is the son of King David, who…who ascended to the throne after his father. He was the king of Israel. Although, there are other voices in the book of Proverbs. It seems like something like Proverbs, things that would've been passed around like through oral tradition, like we do today. Like, if we have a saying that brings wisdom and it's like a proverb then we say it. I mean, we probably can remember Proverbs being recited to us all the way from children. Like, I don't know, haste makes waste. It’s a proverb, that’s not in the Bible, but it's a piece of wisdom that gets handed down through time and so, it's likely that these Proverbs came over time. Many scholars believe that they may not have been put all into a collection until around the time of King Hezekiah, who we will meet later in the year. Most scholars think that some of these Proverbs certainly didn't originate with Solomon, they predated Solomon, were passed down and collected by Solomon. But Proverbs is a book contained within the book of the Bible. And so, it's wisdom as it relates to God, is obviously primary and center. And I'm just telling you now, there are…there are times where there's one sentence that we read in the book of Proverbs, and it is saying pages of things into our lives. Proverbs, the Proverbs are not to be ignored. They are us. They are a rescue and immersing ourselves in the wisdom of the ages. Like, how much harm are we talking about? How much harm can we do by pouring unfiltered wisdom into our hearts every day. We’re only gonna do ourselves good by getting that inside of us, so that when we face situations, we can recall that the voice of wisdom is available and speaks to this. In fact, the book of Proverbs itself tells us whatever you do, get wisdom, because wisdom is more valuable than anything else. And so, I’ll just mention right here, there is a sister program to the Daily Audio Bible that you're listening to right now, called the Daily Audio Proverb. There are 31 chapters in the book of Proverbs and Daily Audio Bible, Proverbs, the Daily Audio Proverb, goes through the book of Proverbs in its entirety, each month. So, that's like less than five minutes a day. It’s like a vitamin before bed or something, we’re moving through the entire Bible here together as a community, but having that little vitamin, having that little five minutes to pour wisdom into our lives, is a valuable resource to have, and so, be aware of that. But we will be going through the entire book of Proverbs through the Daily Audio Bible this year. So, will be plenty of things to talk about along the way. So, that's Proverbs. Let's read from the book of Proverbs now, for our reading today, Proverbs chapter 1 verses 20 through 23.
Commentary:
Okay so, we we're just talking about Proverbs, then we read through Proverbs but now let’s just take some practical wisdom that applies to our lives, spoken in the book of Psalms today and allow it to wash into our lives. We were told, don't sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. If we obeyed that piece of wisdom, advice given to us from the Scriptures, right here, right now in our everyday lives, how would that change things? Because what we’re ultimately being told is, don't react. Imagine if, brothers and sisters all over the world just took this simple advice from the Bible and were able to observe themselves being captured and controlled by anger and then reacting in a way that they wouldn't normally react or saying things that they wouldn't normally say and that cannot be taken back. They’ve been given birth through our mouth into the world and there out there doing their business and it's not good. What if we took the advice and realized, anger is arising me and what I want to do is lash out, but instead I'm not going to be slave to this. I am not going to be controlled by this. I'm gonna take a deep breath. I’m gonna go for a walk, I’m gonna take 10, I’m gonna catch my breath. I’m gonna get some perspective, I'm going to calm down and invite God and the wisdom of the spirit into my life, as I move forward. That's a game changer. Like, it actually, like that being a game changer is a great euphemism, but it's that…that was an understatement. This is a life changing piece of advice, like it will change our whole year, if we can catch ourselves when we’re getting mad, before we do something that’s more harmful. So, let's just take that very simple thing, something we already know, but something that we really have to be intentional about, if we’re going to live it, and place that in our lives today and practice. Practice this today, not reacting when anger is emerging but rather think about it. Take some time. Be silent. Get perspective.
Prayer:
And so, Father, we invite You into that. We all can relate to that. And so, we thank You for that. We all understand what's being said here, we all understand the path forward and we need your Holy Spirit because we live reacting to things an awful lot. And as we begin to pay attention to how much that is pulling our lives in all kinds of directions because we’re just reacting to things, like…like life is just coming at us, instead of the fact that we are living this life. It's not happening to us. We are happening to it. And we have Your spirits guidance in our lives to show us the way that we should go. So, come, Holy Spirit, help us pay attention today, we ask in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
Announcements:
dailyaudiobible.com is home base and that is the website, that is where you find out what's going on around here. The Daily Audio Bible app is available to put all that in the palm of your hand. You can find that at the App Store that works with your device, just look for Daily Audio Bible. And a lot of benefits with the app, you can keep track of…of the days, check off the days as we move to the different sections of the Bible, as we cross them, we get these badges that tell us we’ve completed a certain portion of the Bible. There’s a lot of features there so, check that out. And while you’re checking out, check out the Daily Audio Bible Shop. Whether on the web or in the app, there are resources there for the journey that we are on, made for the journey, made for the rhythm of life, centered around being in the Scriptures every day, so check it out. A lot of different resources there, check out the Wind Farm coffee. We have well, coffee is a friend of mine. I love coffee pretty well and there’s pretty much not a day that I don't have a steaming cup of Wind Farm coffee to my left. I drink tea, usually at night though, if I’m gonna drink tea, the Wind Farm Tea. But we have Wind Farm coffee and tea, and this just goes back, way, way, way back to the earlier years of the Daily Audio Bible. And I just realized this part of part of my rhythm but this is kind of the rhythm of most people, not everybody but a lot of people go through a drive through every day, get a couple coffee or tea or whatever, make it at home or whatever, it's part of a life ritual, but it also works so well that I have that morning cup of coffee as we center ourselves in the Scriptures, or that steamy aroma of a nice cup of hot tea. And so, over time, all these years ago, we developed our own brand, Wind Farm. Which really comes from the book of Ezekiel and the 37th chapter, the valley of the dry bones. Where the prophet is invited to call from the four winds, the breath of life. And in so many ways, as we come around the Global Campfire, we are centering ourselves in the Scriptures and being transformed by them and we go back into our day. We all have this opportunity to bring life, to call forth life, to be the light in the darkness. And in some ways that makes us a Wind Farm, where we are continually praying for one another, where we are continually being challenged in our lives to look more and more like Jesus. And so, we called it Wind Farm. And we roast it fresh at altitude in the Rocky Mountains and send it to you fresh so that it lands, fresh, way fresher than anything nearby in a grocery store, where there are long distribution channels. This just comes right to you, and you can have it sent every month to you. And there are many different varieties that we have. Like if you're getting it every month, you’ll get something new every month. You can look at them all and see what might tickle your fancy. So, check that out in the Daily Audio Bible Shop.
If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible. First of all, thank you, humbly. We wouldn't be here. We wouldn't be here if we weren't in this together, and so thank you for your partnership. There is a link on the homepage at dailyaudiobible.com. If you're using the app, you can press the Give button in the upper right-hand corner or the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996 Springhill, Tennessee 37174.
And as always, if you have a prayer request or encouragement, you can hit the Hotline button in the app, that's little red button up at the top or you can dial 877-942-4253.
And that's it for today, I'm Brian, I love you and I'll be waiting for you here, tomorrow.
Prayer and Encouragements:
This is Marissa from southern Ohio just calling for Jonathan, I think, from Denver said he was struggling not feeling…not really feeling like he's being made new and everything. I just wanted to tell you I heard a really great analogy. If, let's just say there's an off-duty police officer and he goes into a gas station and there's a robbery occurring. Does the robbery stop just because the police officer is there. No. The police officer has to exercise the authority he's been given and do something. And I just wanted to encourage you. Christ has given us authority to trample on the works of the enemy. So, use the authority you have. Don't allow the enemy to make you feel these ways. Don't believe and go along with the lies of the enemy. You can just say in the name of Jesus I renounce the enemy that's, you know, making me believe whatever it is. I no longer agree with or will continue to behave in ways if these things are true. I've really found that to be helpful in just taking back…you know…I mean we have the authority. Christ gave it to us to be able to rebuke the enemy. And so, just really exercising that authority. I think it's great that you called in for prayer because I think that other people praying for you helps you…it's like emboldens your Spirit. It gives it gives you that in our motivation. So, anyways hope that makes sense. I've prayed for you, and I will again as soon as I hang up. So anyway. Blessings. See ya.
Hey, my Daily Audio Bible family this is Mary from Virginia and I just wanted to call and just remind you all to share the Daily Audio Bible with family, friends, those you know that may just benefit from this…this app. I've shared it with my family and I'm just praying that…that they will take the time to download the app and listen to it. I've been listening for a few years now, since 2020, and it's had a really positive impact on my life. And, so, just praying that my family…I've been sharing it with them for a few years now. So, hopefully just one of them will listen to it. But just remember, especially starting the new year to just share it with…with…yeah with everybody that you can, family, friends, coworkers whoever you can that you think will, you know, just benefit from it. Alright. With that, happy new year. Bye. Good evening, DABers this is Donna from Pennsylvania. I'm calling to thank Brian for the wonderful sleep album. I've been listening every night. It's just beautiful and helps me. I've had sleep issues for years and it helps me go right __ when my head hits the pillow. And thank you Diane Olive Braun for the beautiful analogy of the sensitive massage horse. And isn't that just how we are supposed to be, sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit just as the horse responds to the lightest touch of the hand communicated from the reign to the mouth and to thighs knees and heel. And also, to Marilyn who was riding motorcycles with her husband and would be separated by cars getting between them so she couldn't see him and would become anxious and isn't that what Jesus does just as your husband does. He waits for us and he will turn around and seek us. What…how blessed we are. And I've got a story of my own. When I was praying, I noticed that the twinkling Christmas lights were on my window some of them were off but some of them were brighter than ever and that was because it was morning, and the sun was shining by lighting them up so much brighter than they ever could sign on their own battery power. And isn't that just what the Holy Spirit does with us. He works and shines through us so that we can light up way brighter than ever we could under our own power. So, blessings to you all. Happy new year. Love you. Donna from Pennsylvania.
Good morning DAB family this is burning Bush that will not be devoured for the glory of our God and king. Today I listened to the DAB. Just before the years end, I heard a lady call in for her son Darian I think, Dorian, who got into drugs and then got arrested for that. My sister, I want you to know that my heart goes out to you and I'm praying for your child. I'm praying that God will protect him in the name of Jesus and heal him, deliver him from addictions. I pray for all parents right now that are dealing with kids who are struggling with addictions or behavioral problems. Father God, I pray that You give us the strength O Lord to parent like You parent us Father to love O God to not give up on our kids but Father God to be strong Father. Help us O Lord. Give us wisdom as we move forward. I pray for these kids as they are moving forward under foreign management. Father, I pray that in the name of Jesus You will deliver them by the name of Jesus, Father God. Protect them Father while they're away, while they're prodigal. God give them grace. I prefer deliverance in the year of 2023 in the name of Jesus. And until then Father, give the parents wisdom O Lord to trust You Father. These are Your children first and foremost. We didn't cause anything to happen, we can't change, we can't control, but we…we trust You Father. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Hi Daily Audio Bible this is Riptide currently in Ohio. I just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year and although it's cloudy outside, God we know that above the clouds the sun is always shining God. So, we just thank You. I just ask for wisdom and mercy to be over us in the new year, that we would seek You in all of our ways. You know how they say Matthew 33. Seek the Lord in all Your heart in all these things. That means all. Underline. All these things will be given unto You. And that saying that people say at Christmas time a lot, that wise men still seek him. So, we thank You God. We are wise. We are wise sons and daughters and under Your name God the living God we plead Your blood over our family God and our nation. We thank You in Yeshua's name Amen. Blessings. Happy new year.
Hello DABes, this is Tom from West/Central Indiana. I have been a listener since August of 2006 and have never called in. I have a prayer request on the Prayer Wall before, but never called in. I have friend of mine whose wife has been diagnosed with lymphoma and I was hoping I could get the prayers of the thousands of DABers out there. Her name is Anna. She is also a friend of my wife. She’s an amazing woman, a good Christian and I just pray Lord, you will give the doctors the wisdom to have a cure for her disease.
