One thing I want as an involuntary, impure regressor, who also regresses in public, is to be able to bring my most favorite stuffie with me in case I need his help to feel safe... But the bad part is, one, I don't have anything big enough to carry him in. And two, no one around me knows I regress, so I can't do it anyway without them questioning me...

There's hardly anything worse as an involuntary and impure regressor than to be struggling while feeling like the smallest thing on the planet and not having your favorite stuffie, blankie, paci, or favorite anything at hand to help make you feel safe... 😭

So, had a thought about stick world—does Dark know about the Cycle when it and Chosen first escape? I, uh, don't think that would go over well when it becomes relevant. Specifically because I know Chosen would attempt to protect it at any cost.

i don't think that they worry too much about it at first; for almost all creatures i imagine the cycle is just some fact of life, and if you don't think about it too hard, it'd really just be iterators bothered by it--

but of course... then it Isn't

and with every cycle dark's rot gets worse, and they say it's fine, they can conquer anything including this stupid rot. but they keep getting worse. and they think it'll be better once they discover they can use spitter spider venom to help anesthetize the rot and the sharper weapons; they make ways to fix it, chosen learns from the scavengers when dark isn't terrorizing the local populous

but it's not just growing, it's contaminating Dark on the inside, too. it comes and goes, but when it's at its worst, Chosen can't stop thinking about it.

What happens when they completely turn to rot? will they keep living? will they die forever? will the rot be all that's left? or will dark be inside, suffering?

they bring up the thought of ascension but dark doesn't want to. and even though chosen thinks about it dark prefers to ignore it, they don't want to think about that inevitable end result

of course, the hunger of the rot doesn't let them sleep soundly sometimes.

especially when they think about turning on chosen. another slugcat could provide easy food.

obsessed with simon meeting jake and finn's recantations in the future that's literally the coolest shit EVER, he doesn't know it's them, he just thinks it's another reality cause he's been to so many with fionna and cake, and this is the closest finn and jake's recarnations can meet A simon in their current time, mostly beth cause she's the one to interact with simon the most!!! and i love how this is basically just simon and jake meeting one last time, even if he doesn't know this IS jake but recarnated, and it's cute that simon get's advice from beth before he understands about how much betty sacrificed for him, it's like jake's soul giving him one last thing of advice to keep with him for the rest of his life as a last goodbye, even if they both don't know who they are <'333

Wyvern the pup fully fell asleep on us this morning. Very cuddly boy. He’s been progressing well with Sit and Down, he’s got a pretty good handle on Wait, and Out. Still working on name recognition and Come, so his recall is pretty spotty but he’s a puppy.

He definitely knows the word Potty and has a preferred place outside, but I’m not gonna be putting too much faith in him without supervision any time soon. He’s progressing with Heel but as we’re in a townhome complex there’s no distraction free zones to practice which does make it harder.

We took him on two longer walks over the weekend, making sure to steer clear of other dogs but loudly asking passerby, “Please, can you pet our puppy?” He’s been slightly wary of strangers and I want him to learn that other people have delicious treats and nice things. He warmed up a lot over the two days. He’s been somewhat more hesitant about men so we make sure to give guys treats to offer. He did run up to a big neighbor man today to get love so, progress there.

He’s both terrified and fascinated by kiddos still, he’ll take treats from them and eagerly sniff them all over but darts away if they go in for a pet. He gets lots of positive reinforcement each nice interaction and we’ll keep working on it.

Thank goodness for the guild mod in Skyrim. My lone wanderer character can recruit Meeko (or the stray dog), put up the guild HQ marker, and leave him in a safe, warm place.

Meeko now lives with Faida and is the official greeter at the Four Shields Tavern in Dragon Bridge.

He's currently lounging on the fur rug near the fire opposite the counter.
