Also, all the “lesbians” who say they’re just flirting with men for free drinks.
Never done that.
WHAT? bi women who larp as lesbians say they flirt with men for drinks?? they're insufferably annoying. lol bi women on here lost their shit when some of us feel they're worse than het women but the list never ends. no lesbian flirts with men eww. if a man spends money on a woman at all he always thinks you owe him sex, touch, or attention yuck. I would never want anything from a man but for him to leave me the fuck alone and die

How Stargate SG-1 would react to your they/them pronouns
Jack O'Neill: he's a little confused but he's got the spirit LMAO. I can easily see him trying to refer to you in conversation with you in the room and being like "so thEy... *side eyes you for confirmation and nods when you approve* and Carter were able to figure it out" (just an example). I should preface this post by saying I don't think anyone in SG command is bigoted or transphobic/enbyphobic and the only people who mIGHT give you a hard time would be the characters no one likes (like Maybourne or senator whatshisface I'm v new to this show lol only 3 seasons in soo) so fuck them lmfao. I give Jack a 8/10 ally score (an ally but still learning lol). (Also if anyone wants to see how SG-1 would react to a pride festival or other identities, please lmk!!)
Sam Carter: she's so sweet ahhhh I love her so much!!! 🥹🥹 Would 14/10 be so happy to support you and might even hold your hands in hers when you come out to her. She wants you to know she absolutely supports you no matter what. She might accidentally slip up and use the wrong pronouns so pls be kind to her, she'll feel so bad and she'll punish herself for messing up (someone protect this sweet soul 🥺🥺) Sam would do ANYTHING to show you that you are valued and respected at the SGC and she absolutely will smack down with a bigot who misgenders you on purpose (hold her back, Colonel!!) I give Sam 10/10 ally score and she most definitely would go to your first pride with you if you were nervous!
Daniel Jackson: dude this would not be a new concept to him whatsoever lmfao. His knee-jerk reaction to you coming out is probably to start rambling (he thinks he sounds more sensical than he does lol) about genderqueer/nonbinary/cisn't figures in history and mythology, which is his way of saying "you're not alone !!" but it can be,, a lot lol. He goes out of his way to make sure you know it is normal and not "unnatural" to go by they/them too 🥺 He would make the adjustment super easily and rarely ever slips up. (I can also see him in the past researching a historical figure, realizing they were trans, and that's where he got the smoothness of switching from. (it probably happened more than once, let’s be real.)) He definitely would get into heated verbal arguments with bigots about how normal trans/nonbinary-ness is in his eyes (as he should) and Col. O'Neill would have to hold him back from it becoming a physical altercation LOL. Side note: now that you came out to him, expect random ! bouts ! of queer ! trivia !! because he probably doesn't get to talk about it that often and he's just like !! ahhh!! a queerio to geek out with!! Overall a 9.5/10 ally score, just docking 0.5 points for anthropology-splaining queer history to you LMAO. I can definitely see him and Sam becoming your gender euphoria team and helping you feel comfy too!
Teal'c: I honestly don't know what to say except he gets it. It is done. He makes the change with a snap. He might even tell you the story of a transgender Jaffa warrior too if there is one! I think he definitely would say something like “I see no problem with this set of pronouns. If Y/N Y/L/N identifies as such, there should be no reason to deny them respect for their identity." (Teal'c is so nice 🥹🥹) I think if anyone purposefully disrespected you or misgendered you, he would go 0 to 100 and be like "In my culture, it would be well within my rights to kill you where you stand” and then Jack would show up again and be like "okay calm down" LOL. I can see Teal'c teaching you how to appear more masc if you're transmasc as well, like workouts and mannerisms and such, too! Teal'c is an 11/10 ally for me, and I would love to see him surrounded by drag queens at pride LMFAO.
Janet Fraiser: oh look, another amazing ally! She would have no problem referring to you as they and would hardly ever slip up! She's a 99.9% kinda girly LOL (get it,, germ killers,, she's a doctor,, hahahah...). Honestly the only time I can see her slipping up is if,, this is very specific,, if she's saving your life and needs to open up your shirt for the defibrillator LMAO yknow?? Which I think we can all excuse if she's literally in crisis mode saving your life!! Her brain isn't focused on pronouns right now!! Also! I think if you wanted to transition, she would refer you to her doctor friends who know about medical transition, and she would even help you with your hormone doses while you're on the base 🥹🥹 Even with checkups after off-world missions, she'd make sure you're super comfortable and feeling respected 😌 Janet is so sweet and I love her so much, I give her a 12/10 not bc I love her so much!! BUT bc she goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable in her care and in your body!! I can totally see Janet getting decked out in rainbows to go to pride with you too, don't ask why, I just can lol.
General Hammond: he tries!! Just forgive him, he's old LOL. No but he'd really try really hard even though he's not used to it and even though he slips up occasionally, there will be times where he goes out of his way to give you a heads up about when it might not be safe to be out as a they/them bby with certain people, like if a debriefing meeting involves someone who is vEry bigoted, he'll just kind of take you aside and be like "Y/N, I know your preferred pronouns are they/them (he absolutely would say "preferred" but he knows it's not optional 😌), but I would recommend not being out to the board we're meeting with today; they might not treat you as kindly as the rest of SG Command" (bless him for looking out for you 🥺🥺). He also kind of reminds me of my grandma in the sense that she sees me for who I am, but occasionally uses the wrong pronouns, but she’s a killer at getting it right through texts LOL. I give him a 8.5/10 because he's a real one and has proven it time and time again, and the effort is what counts 🥺 He might even put a little pride flag on a stick in his office pencil cup during June to show his solidarity 🥹🥰

Group B Round 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[image ID: the first image is of Pappy, an anthropomorphized brown poodle. he's wearing glasses and walking with a cane. the second image is of Cockroach Boy. he has dark hair, antennae, and has a mask covering his mouth. he's also wearing a scarf. end ID]
Pappy
for a while he was the ONLY nintendo character with zero search results. there’s an entire video about it on youtube, it’s really interesting
Cockroach Boy
He is a silly guy!! I'm not completely sure of his lore since I haven't played the games in a bit + we might not have actually gotten lore since the game isn't exactly lore heavy lol. But I think he's half human and half cockroach. He wears a little face mask to hide his cockroach mouth which is kinda sad :(. His role is basically to help the character you play as (Johnny) by eating these various giant cockroach characters throughout the games lol. It sounds gross cause the whole game series is very weird and creepy, but that's why I love it!! Also I 100% headcanon that Cockroach Boy and Johnny are Gay for each other, so, bonus points for the queerios lmao

@ previous anon how are TRAs defending black women when they say (literally, I’ve seen the tweets) “if trans women aren’t women neither are black women”? They don’t defend black women, they just try to equate transphobia to racism bc they know racism is taken more seriously and 90% of all “transphobia” is people pointing out the homophobia and misogyny within TRA circles.
(This is the anon)
"They just try to equate transphobia to racism" is right and it's insulting lol and I'm sick of being told I should lick the boots of genderists who are trying to rewrite and queerwash hundreds of years of black women's language and history to describe ourselves. Calling us "birthing people" (a step away from "breeders" to me) and insisting I call misogynoir "transphobia" because some males will never be able to become female and some of them desperately want to relate to me for some reason. What does that have to do with me? Misogynoir is a perectly acceptable word for my life experience including "being judged according to white beauty standards" (as that anon claims is "transphobia") as well as being called manly or masculine for various reasons. Black women are called "manly" today in part because of the history of women who look like me being considered chattel or breeders or "birthing people" if you will who could be "worked like men" and raped to make more slaves. They always knew we were female and they still know it when they claim we're not.
Black feminists have come up with our own terminology to describe our experience as black females for centuries and I'm not about to let queerios who've only been around for a decade or two at best twist that history around and further bastardize Kimberle Crenshaw's intersectionality. Yes, it's true that "black women are seen like men too!" by society, and you as a queerio may even virtue signal from the rooftops that this is wrong and gets us killed by white supremacy, but by then equating that experience to that of a literal male's, by trying to claim they're the same and forcing us to use the same word, you're admitting that on some level if not entirely you agree with society. Black women are seen as males so they might as well just accept that instead of arguing it so that males (including many white males) can claim that they're "just as female" as us? For reasons like "I have ladybrain" and "I like lipstick and want a BBL and fake boobs" and "I'm homosexual"?
Nah instead I'm going to continue arguing that I'm just as female as other women from other ethnicities and that gender is a farce that is no good for anyone and especially not black people. It's so backwards what TRAs are asking "cis" black women to do, claim to be against misogynoir but when pressed you must simultaneously tell this broken clock of a society that it's right twice a day when it says that you'll never "really be female." Like if TRAs really believe that's not true why are they talking about it constantly? They need it to be true so that their sex denial fantasy can exist.

Someone I knew once linked me a Twitter thread claiming the f @ g word (I'm only censoring for fear tumblr will flag my ask) and d key but out the Y in front of the K (again afraid of being flagged as cyber bully) were aave and could not be said or reclaimed by white queerios. I just want you to know that horrible take in particular
twitter is such a scary place we're so lucky it's not real

Hi! resident Queerio here.
Let's go through this then.
point 1. queer people (I'm assuming, but if a straight cis person asked for this, that would be so weird) have asked you to, so technically, from their free reign. You've been given a pass. handed the trust.
Point 2. Coming out is a very individual experience with a huge variety of feelings and things that go on, so having someone who's not done that write it can be good or bad because you've never been through it yourself, but with research, it's likely you'd be able to write a far more relatable general experience that more people can relate to than the usually highly individual personal experience of coming out.
point 3. internalised biases? maybe. but also queer people have those. a lot of them, which is why so many of us hate each other. So, tbf, you'd probably do no worse than a queer person. especially because you would be researching in an unbiased way. Just maybe have someone proofread it.
point 4. A lot of queer people don't like writing that stuff because it's hard, either for personal reasons or because they just don't write. So you would be doing a service to those who would like such a story but lack the means or ability to write it themselves.
point 5: normalising queer people in the media. If it were only done by queer people, it wouldn't be normalized. Non-queer people writing that stuff (appropriately) is really important in normalising the idea outside of exclusively queer spaces. Also, straight people tend to get it more that way.
Overall, I think since you've been asked by queer people, that's permission in a way. Theres nothing overtly unethical with you writing it; you just would need to be careful (which I have no doubt you would be) and maybe have a queer person go over it to make sure you haven't accidentally missed something or been phobic (surprisingly easy to do because of how common it is in public consciousness without even realising it).
OMG AMBROSE 🥰 I BOW DOWN TO YOU WITH GRATITUDE FOR BEING SO GENEROUS!!!!
Seriously, thanks for taking the time to go through and offer your input on this! and you're absolutely right. It is helpful to keep in mind that queer people's experiences are as varied as they are and there isn't really a scheme or something. see? I haven't even started researching yet and i'm already learning.
THANKS FOR THE REASSUREANCE!!! means a lot, for real!

thinking about how i ended up back in dc comics hell this summer while it’s in arguably one of its worst eras and it’s like:
i see bartkon trutherisms with associated panels >>> i flashback to my dc glory days of the mid-2000s when smallville, yj98, and bart allen were my primary hyperfixations >>> i decide to finally read injustice 2 since the injustice series was the last dc comic run i actually enjoyed >>> i learn about the Gay Agenda in dc >>> i read an old dc pride anthology and find out not only is clark’s son a queerio, but so his timbobothy drake himself >>> i pick up the jon kent comics bc i love superman content and i miss him >>> jon kent is now my son >>> everyone hates jon so by virtue of being a rebel, i must now love jon 5ever >>> bendis implied jon/lor zod in the worst LOSH run i’ve read in eons>>> timbobothy being queer was not a joke, and bernbear beat all the side-side-side character allegations so i will read them eventually >>> tom taylor has too much power so i will keep getting jon kent content even if nobody else cares about him except me, three other fans, my cat, and allah >>> i still have not read the bartkon comic book that inspired this summer’s clownery >>> i am rewatching smallville again even though i’ve watched it like a hundred times >>> sdcc 2023 rumors abound that jonno’s getting another book in 2024 so i guess im not going anywhere 🧕🏽✨

im so gay i don’t know what to do with myself
y’all watching aloto and getting back into fandom is a fuckin blast
i'm having so much fun it’s like right as i was at a lowlowlow point where i really needed something to keep me going this beautiful show fell outta the sky and there’s this beautiful fandom that’s everything i’ve ever wanted in a fandom like actual beautiful real life lesbian shenanigans that really freakin align with what i’ve always wanted and i like
didn’t expect it to give me so many feels
and it’s good it’s really good like i genuinely feel like this show and fandom have been helping me start to find my footing in terms of my identity and what i want romantically/sexually and that’s fucking amazing and beautiful and while there’s obviously some ~jsafkldjdsfl if only i’d had this kind of actual quality queer representation in high school~ feelings i’m just fucking grateful to have it now and grateful that young queerios have it now like squeeeee af about that
but also like
i'm 2 and a half months sober right now and i’m very intentionally not dating bc i know that would be a B.A.D. bad idea for me rn
but it’s liKe I fiNALLY feel like i have some semblance of a sense of what i would want to look for if i were dating people (jesslupe vibes just like all the jesslupe vibes lmfao) and i knowwwwwwwww that on so many levels the smart move rn is just to take this time to come into being the butch i’ve always wanted to be and explore that in a nonsexual context until i’m ready to do that in a way that feels healthy for me but
this
show
just
makes
me
horny
as
fuck
and
i
want
to
date
girls
so
bad

I am bi, and I do fully accept that lesbians prob have it harder. But I get what anon is saying about bisexual being associated with “alphabet soup nonsense”, it’s really fucking annoying. All the queerios (straights) pushing demisexual and pansexual and genderqueer etc etc have made it so that quite a lot of the time when I say I’m bi I get an eye roll or somebody telling me I’m an idiot and this identity crap has gone too far. I’m just attracted to both sexes ffs. We’ve always been here.
yeah i can imagine that :/ tbh as a lesbian i think we’re often either associated with it or othered by our own “alphabet soup” community bc of assumptions that we’re hateful for being homosexual… so it just feels like we aren’t accepted anywhere to me. and im sure bis who speak against that stuff feel similarly.. luckily no one says “this identity crap has gone too far” over me saying im a lesbian tho. i guess that’s a consequence specifically of bisexuality having only become more known around the 80s

[Gender]Queerios,
I have a start up about biohacking the menstrual cycle--we're the only people in the field talking about periods from a gender neutral perspective and we're making a podcast. Keeping that genderqueer inclusivity is v important to us so I'm asking as many outlets (and people) as I can:
