Last year I made a post headcanoning that Chuuya was the one to bring Kajii into the mafia after the Laughing Lemon incident and now I am back with evidence.

It's tradition in the Port Mafia to give a new recruit an article of your own clothing when inviting them into the mafia. Famous example being Mori gives Dazai his coat, and Dazai gives Akutagawa his coat in turn.

So with that in mind, if Chuuya brought Kajii in, he would have given him something as well. Only Kajii 5'11" and Chuuya is 5'2", so Chuuya's clothes wouldn't exactly fit Kajii.

But do you know what they both wear?

That's right! Stupid fashion belts that serve no actual purpose!

I rest my case!

About Chuuya, after his reunion with Dazai, never calling him Mackerel seriously.

About Dazai, trying to provoke him into doing so and failing repeatedly, till the question "why?" slips out in frustration.

And Chuuya, replying by giving a reminiscent gaze towards Dazai's eyes for almost a full minute, before shrugging and saying, "Eh, that stupid nickname just doesn't roll off the tongue anymore..."

To which Dazai goes "????"

hc that when they were teens and went to the arcade, Dazai would ~begrudgingly~ keep the plushies Chuuya won from crane games. he'd make up the MOST convoluted excuses as to why he needed to save the plushies from being dumpstered because they're just dumb stuffed animals, who cares, but also he felt like he was winning by snatching them from Chuuya's hands and threatening to hold them hostage

Dazai would bring them back to his shipping container and sometimes punch them or stare at them and talk to them when he wanted to complain about what a long day he had having to deal with Chuuya, yet again.

sometimes they'd sit on his desk, and sometimes they'd be next to him in bed.

he still keeps at least one plushie Chuuya won when they were younger. they would definitely be well-loved at that point. maybe missing a button or an eye or stuffing pouring out, but now he refuses to get rid of them

lippmann: wears a sleeping robe. the others bought him one of those dramatic feather robes (meant for women) as a joke — well, jokes on them, he wears it all the time!

chuuya: wears a regular t-shirt and baggy sweatpants. sometimes, he’ll steal albatross’ shirts. whenever he does that, the whole outfit ends up looking oversized.

albatross: wears joggers and those men’s tank tops with open sides.

iceman: he sleeps without a shirt because he gets hot easily, but he’ll wear joggers.

doc: he runs cold and it's even worse at night, so he wears sweaters to bed and sleep pants that aren’t tight but aren’t super loose either.

piano man: definitely one of those people who wear matching (satin) pajama sets.

I've been wondering what Dazai would be like if he had a daughter. I imagine him as the carefree (irresponsible) father of the world, but who somehow watches his little girl from the shadows. It's like writing an skk au with that topic, I don't know. (?)

Mori should have more anatomy models in his office. He's a doctor, where is the random skeleton in the corner? The eye model on the desk? The heart on the shelf? The half open body where the organs always fall out when you look at it? The skull where everyone wants to ask if it is real, bc dude is a mafia boss, you never know?

Cats like Dazai. That fact remained true before he joined the mafia, throughout his time there, and after he left.

One or two would follow him to the shipping container, and they would make their displeasure about the place very known. They yowl and hiss and glare at Dazai, and he just sighs in response. He wants to sleep, thank you very much. If they don't like it, they can leave. When he opens the container, a cat slips inside and claims territory over the bed, and he resigns himself to sharing the bed for the rest of the night.

Chuuya finds the whole thing funny and pets them whenever they follow Dazai to headquarters, although they never go inside. He takes photos too. For blackmail obviously. Totally.

Elise demands Chuuya share the photos and she squeals and giggles over the cute kittens.

Meanwhile, Dazai is sulking in the corner.

New headcanon that Atsushi isn't actually a fan of his birthdays. Especially right after he leaves the orphanage. I feel like on his b-days there things would get extra bad. The only good thing is that the other kids would avoid him instead of joining in on the harassment from the staff, and even then they'd avoid him like the plague, giving him glances that screamed they were disgusted and scared of him. The staff would double down instead. Because of this Atsushi probably didn't mention his birthday to anyone, and was hesitant about it when any of the other ADA members asked. Ranpo ofc knew, and the first time Atsushis b-day passed Atsushi walked in to see a piece of candy from Ranpos stash on his desk. Now everyone knows when it is because of that, but the most they do is take a bit of the workload off of him (AKA get Dazai to do his own work, which he doesn't argue against aside from some complaining that day), and put something on his desk, because they know celebrations make him uncomfortable.

Random Bram headcanons (except not so random this time and also Lovecraft is included)

I feel like I don't have to explicitly say this, but I will anyway: I absolutely headcanon Bram to be a vampire, not 'just' a human with an ability that mimics vampirism.

Don't get me wrong, it's never explicitly stated, but I do 100% believe that he was a human at one point, awakend his ability (mayhaps after he 'died'?) and it slowly transformed him over time. It'd make sense since he has scars that the vampirism would've healed otherwise (post here)

Likewise, although it has been more or less stated by Dazai, Lovecraft isn't human either. The 'human' Lovecraft is his disguise, his true form is absolutely that Cuthulu looking thing.

-atsushi loves playing with fumi’s hair

-fumi got over her fear of touching people with atsushi’s help

-when atsushi plays with fumi’s hair she always gets sleepy and it calms her down if she’s anxious or stressed

-atsushi loves staring into fumi’s eyes, he thinks they’re so beautiful

-atsushi loves the sound of fumi’s voice, he could listen to her talk all day

-fumi absolutely adores atsushi! to her, he’s just the most amazing and wonderful man out there

-atsushi is hyper protective of fumi, anytime he finds her hurt or anything of the sort, he has to really work to keep his cool while around fumi since he doesn’t want to scare her

-fumi loves making atsushi laugh

-if atsushi had a bad day, seeing fumi instantly helps him feel better

i headcanon that tecchou is actually a really good artist. like he doesn’t talk about it at all but sometimes when he’s thinking or finished work he will just sketch something on a random piece of paper and everyone is shocked when they see it because they had absolutely no clue he could draw
