one more thing (started to put this on the previous post but realized it applies to CR too) but between CR and D20 discourse, why are so many people surprised when US-based actual play shows are coming out with the message of "being angry and resentful and using your pain as an excuse makes you prone to radicalization into a violent cult with little regard for the lives of others, and that is not good of you" and what does it say about them that they keep trying to argue against this.

Was looking at stuff about the Mario movie and whatnot and seeing people in notes go "Stoppp bullying Chris Pratt !"

And then I was reminded that the exact moment I quit liking the MCU and stopped being involved with a majority of its actors, is when Chris Pratt was voted 'Worst Chris' and a bunch of MCU actors came out of the woodwork (Mark Ruffalo's fake woke ass especially), crying about how mean people were being to this poor, innocent, white man and that we needed to stop hurting his feelings

When I've never seen any of the hoes who cried for Chris Pratt, come out and defend Brie Larson, Tessa Thompson, Anthony Mackie or Chadwick Boseman, for the all of the violent racist, sexist and misogynistic attacks they faced online. Not once did they open up their Twitters and condemn how awful people were being towards these people.

But this man gets voted "worst chris" and suddenly it's the end of humanity.

So yeah, fuck him and fuck them.

I get that people love the rat grinders

and want to see them redeemed because they were being misled by their teachers

And maybe I would have been on that side if it hadn't been for KLCK. If it wasn't the slashing her own AP member's throat, it would the complaining about Riz having a hard life as if that somehow gave him advantage. If it wasn't the endangering students at the party, it would be the trying to bring about the apocalypse. I have as much sympathy for her as I have for Penelope, Biz and Dayne in freshman year.

In conclusion:

I don't really care much about the rest of TRG. Except maybe hating Ivy for being a fantasy racist. I even thought Oisin and Adaine would be cute together before it turned out there was nothing there at all. Ruben is insufferable but what teen boy isn't. I just don't think that him being a teenager makes him a wooby whose actions need to be ignored or justified.

I'm not saying it's bad to care about TRG or whatever. i just don't get why people are acting like TBK are awful for killing TRG when TRG have been making their lives miserable. And are also actively trying to bring about the apocalypse. Or worse that BLeeM and IH are horrible for not shifting the story from mystery solving to focusing on redeeming TRG

An unintentional but very welcome side effect to doing my best to get rid of Gender Assumptions in my brain is that it is now far easier to run with rpg voice acting and the like. Saw someone say how they headcanon Eugene from drawtectives as transmasc because he’s voiced by Julia, and it’s wonderful that that person could find a character they relate to, but that never even crossed my brain. Same thing with Becky from blood in the bayou. My brain doesn’t even go, ‘oh, she’s voiced by a guy but I get that she’s probably meant to have a higher voice in-universe’ or anything, nah. If you show me a character and then that character starts talking? That’s their voice now, I won’t even come up for a reason for it. That’s just What They Sound Like.

i think the reagan movie can pretty much be summed up by this scene. probably the funniest bit in the entire movie followed by the worst line delivery from dennis quiad
