Hi hello, and welcome to my little writing corner!

You can call me Flora (she/her), and I’m hoping to carve out a place for myself in the writing community here on tumblr and follow along with new writing projects, as well as hopefully garner some interest in my own!

I hate the idea of creating this thing and asking for interaction without doing so myself; I am a huge believer of the idea of community, of bettering and bolstering other content creators, and participating in something bigger than myself. Ashaveth, a once devout woman, finds themselves dragged back into the throes of their old beliefs when they stumble upon a creature spoken of only in aeon old hymns and textbooks lost to dust; a creature that bears the symbol of a Goddess they had abandoned so long ago.

Donning a mask that burns with a holy light, all consuming, all radiating - this, was a Faceless One.

If legend was to be believed, they were servants of Vigil, molded and shaped by Her to be the perfect protectors of peace and divine will - they had no name for they had no identity, they had no tongue for they had no voice, they had no blood for they did not bleed.

Had the Goddess she fled finally tracked her down?

The Couriers are a ragtag group who are the proud owners of the delivery service Parcels & Papercuts - a wandering delivery service who will deliver anything to anyone.

This is going to be an anthology series following the characters of this group and their various escapades - from delivering baked goods to a homesick grandaughter, to handing over a love letter to a scorned god. No job is too big and certainly never too small.

This is the type of series that you can jump in whenever, and you won't miss any major plot beats or anything like that.

Hi everyone!

An updated intro post, because I promised, and stuff has changed.

First of all, I am still not a robot. I am, as a matter of fact, still definitely a human.

You can call me Starfish, or Ash! Starfish is my nickname/drawing name, and Ash is the pseudonym I usually use, including for writing stuff.

Thats my writer-sona!

About me:

I am 16 years old and a cis female (she/her pronouns). Also, I'm an August Virgo!

I am an asexual, and very romantic, but not am in (or looking for) a relationship. (Also closeted irl, but brushing past that).

Currently studying in high school, and preparing for med school.

I am from, and live in India. I am also a spiritual Hindu, and love and respect all religious beliefs (including atheism and agnostic people).

My true love lies in history, mythology, and literature. Like interested to the point of obsession with them.

Probably have some sort of undiagnosed neuro divergence (but that's unimportant. maybe).

I have been writing poetry and short stories since elementary school (under my real name), and reading for as long as I can remember.

wip intro/masterpost - the raedoran cycle

hi hello here it is. my baby.

genre: fantasy

pov: third person limited, with various narrators throughout

status: a series of 4 novels/stories, in various states of drafting

summary: in one night, Raedora is thrown into chaos. the royal librarian murders the queen and her youngest daughter with magic and flees, leaving behind the king and the crown princess to pick up the pieces. the princess spirals slowly into madness as her sworn shield tries to save her, terrified of her dead sister's prophecy.

two thieves in the capital set their sights on the crown jewels after attending the queen's coronation. but when one gets a little too reckless and catches the attention of the Mad Dog of Morbhard, their plans quickly go off the rails.

when their parents are killed in the Dragon Purges, two shapeshifters must hide amongst their killers to survive. one, a talented healer, tries to build a life that will be safe for them, but her little brother has his sights set on avenging their parents by murdering the queen that ordered their deaths.

a young witch is raised alone by her father, always in hiding, with strange dreams and visions of the future. when he dies of an illness even her magic can't heal, she must strike out on her own, searching for answers to the prophecy that has followed her for her whole life.

so originally this was one novel following multiple characters, but thanks to a minor plot bunny that greatly spiraled out of control (lacuna) it has become something much more. many of the four novels' events occur simultaneously, with their stories overlapping and intertwining as the character's lives do the same.

Keelan: baby boy war criminal. he narrates the story as he tries to save Maura from herself.

Maura: the golden queen of Raedora. she lost half her family in 1 night and handed it incredibly well all things considered (no she didn't)

status: first draft finished(!!), shelved while it marinates and i work on the rest of the cycle. likely going to come back and edit it at some point but for now it is what it is

Arthur: master lockpick and ball of anxiety. he narrates his attempts to get Jack to notice him while also trying to steal the crown jewels.

Jack: cursed damned street rat. born on the night of the triple new moon and condemned to a life on the streets, he's got his sights set on stealing enough to get both him and Arthur out of Morbhard for good.

status: just barely starting to draft. fully outlined.

Emilia: the only voice of reason around here. a talented healer fighting to protect her baby brother from both the persecution they face in their homeland and the Purges that killed their parents.

Fabin: teenage ball of rage. his parents died in front of him when he was 13 and he has been supremely chill about it since then and doesn't everybody sleep with their sword under their bed?

status: outlining with the occasional scene.

Birdie: a talented witch born under and blessed by the full silver moon. raised by her father in the woods after fleeing the witch trials, she is determined to understand and fulfill her prophecy. her strange dreams of dragons, thieves, and knights lead her to a search for the people who she believes will help her in her journey.

status: it's complicated. this where all the original material lives for the most part so it's outlined(sort of??) and i've been writing scenes for it but idk what the actual timeline of events is and i've changed a LOT since i started. so it's a frankendraft mess. we'll get there eventually.

single dad touya (est wc 14-16k) - a phone call in the middle of the nigh unveils another one of touyas various fuck-ups in the form of a tiny baby girl at risk of total abandonment. last minute agreements lead to needing a nanny who he absolutely shouldn't be in love with but is anyways.

best friend bkg (est wc 15k+)- you make an attempt to confess to bakugou and it goes completely awry. instead of him thinking you like him, he assumes you like someone else and offers to teach you how to date. a messy fucked up no boundaries fake relationship begins

alpha deku (est wc 14k) - your childhood friend bites your nap and bonds you in the middle of your first heat, creating a painful rift in your relationship that needs to be mended before there are long term consequences. angst w a happy ending.

office worker hawks (est wc 17k) - keigo has been brilliant in popular in every aspect of his life to the point everything is boring and inconsequential. he's fucked when the you who works at the convience store catch him smoking and being a huge prick - immediately shattering his image in your eyes forever. mess ensues as visits become more frequent and hawks develops serious feelings for you against his will

This was created mostly so I can rb MCSR stuff off main.

So, yeah. MCSR. Got into it, like, end of summer last year?

Yeah, cool, no problem. I'm usually into fandoms for like a couple months, tops.

Wrote a fic. Actually finished and posted it. Sure, rare, but that's happened before. It'll go away now that I got that out of my system clueless
