”Y/N! Hey are you, are you okay?” Reggie watches you as you pick at the food you’d ordered.
“Of course…”
“You worried about the town's secrets? It can be a lot I know; I could always just spill it, we can talk about it, it’s just not… Well people don’t usually last long once they find out, they either join up, like Veronica; or uh, leave..” He shrugs a little.
“Leave?”
“Die.”
“Die??!?!?!” You scream whisper into your burger and Reggie nods.
“Yeah we’re uh, we’re monsters Y/N.”
“Oh haha, yeah I get that half the town is in a gang or there’s like drugs involved but…”
“No, monsters. I’m a werewolf, a rarity for the Northside, the Southsider’s are almost always werewolves…”
“Almost always?” You decide it can’t hurt to play into the joke Reggie is playing on you.
“Sweet Pea is a vampire, most vampires are..”
“From the northside?” You finish and he nods.
“So you like change during a full moon? Isn’t that like next week?”
“Mhm, also change with strong emotion.” Reggie nods into his burger and you eat in silence for a moment before you just laugh and shake your head at him.
You scowl and Reggie just chuckles a bit.
“Why do you think this is so funny!!! Stop lying!!!”
“I’m not, we’re all monsters here, you must be some kind of one to have been able to move in and not be prey for us.”
“I’m not!” You snarl and he chuckles, but then you shove him back, trying to get out the door.
“Y/N, you can’t leave, it’s not safe out there….”
“Safer than in here with you!” You shout and he frowns.
“Y/N don’t, don’t be like… that..” He grimaces a little and you sneer.
“Oh sorry am I hurting your feelings, you're going to give me puppy dog eyes to win me back.” It’s stupid, you don’t really know what you’re saying but you know ever since Reggie had told you the town was filled with monsters, that you were only safe because both him and Sweet Pea liked you. And how smug he’d been when he’d explained how you’d chosen him and you must like him better cause he was actually alive, unlike Sweet Pea who was too cold to be obviously human.
You almost wanted to run to Sweet Pea’s trailer, to run out of the town line; you’re not sure why you’re so angry, what about Reggie is making you want to scream and bite and shout.
As it turns out Sweet Pea’s leaning in the doorway looking smug, far less smug than Reggie is.
“Sweet Pea, can you give me a ride home?” You turn away from Reggie who’s glaring.
“Course Y/N, finally realize you don’t want to flea collar your boyfriend?”
“Oh not you too..” You scowl and he frowns.
“Me too? I’m a vampire, see.” He grins and you can see the fangs, see the red in his eyes, you turn back to Reggie.
“Why can’t you show me your wolf side then?”
“I.. I can’t…”
“Oh like the full moon?”
“No, you’re, you’re blocking me…”
“Oh.” It’s Sweet Pea who steps forward and you can see the fangs vanishing, the red in his eyes bleeding back into his natural colour.
“Blocking both of us, you stop the curse…. You could free all of us…” Sweet Pea and Reggie cheer a little and you turn when Cheryl stomps out the door.
“Some of us like our powers.” She hisses.

✨Teaser: In Technicolor✨
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So some of you may know this, but my next fic that was set to release was originally called “Ballad of a Teenage Dream” and was a Wednesday x Skam crossover that showcased all the highs and lows of high school and the growing pains that come with the transition from teenager to young adult.
Well that story has been reworked, overhauled, and given new life.
I present to you my high school dramady, In Technicolor.
Set in Los Angeles, California, the story follows two groups of friends as their worlds collide. A modern spin on the social dynamics of Romeo and Juliet where two factions are warring but cannot remember why or why their bitter rivalry is so important to their identity, In Technicolor highlights the feuding of the wealthy and the everyday citizens to show the consequences that come from stripping culture and history from the city streets in the name of gentrification. It explores the complex relationships of families on either side of the fence to reveal that wealth does not always bring happiness. And finally, at the center of it all, the complicated friendships and relationships of the members of these two groups as they meld into one.
For our East LA champions, we follow the Addams siblings and their mismatched group of skateboarders, graffiti artists, musicians, and street racers.
For our Palisades elite, we focus on the Blossoms and Galpin’s—two families from extreme wealth that are not entirely honest about what they show the world.
.
.
.
Important Story Information: If the visuals were not enough to give it away, this story will be a crossover with a different fandom. Entering the mix is the ensemble from Riverdale. I do want to caution readers now, there will be crossover pairings, character retcon on both sides, ageing up, ageing down, and changes to character personalities.
One such example is that Wednesday isn’t allergic to color and isn’t entirely unapproachable. She smiles and laughs but only when around those she trusts like her family and friends. Pugsley has been aged up and is Wednesday’s twin brother. My face claim for this version of Pugsley is Xolo Mariduẽna and I have made Pugsley (who also will be going by “Lee”) more confident and hotheaded with some snark and sass. Second to that, my face claim for Pubert “Bertie” Addams is Malachi Barton and Pubert/Bertie will be one year younger than his siblings—the twins Wednesday and Pugsley age 17 and in their senior year and Bertie age 16 entering his junior year.
On the Riverdale side of the crossover, I have made certain changes that I don’t want to reveal just yet for Archie’s character. That surprise will come soon enough because next I will be posting moodboards for specific couples that will be at the center of this story. But one change I will discuss now to get it out there to avoid hate comments and harassment is the issue of is Cheryl bi or is she a lesbian. In my story, she’s bi and will be paired with a male lead. I understand that the actress for her character went back and forth on Cheryl’s orientation but, to me, Cheryl reads like a chaotic bisexual that goes back and forth on her identity because being bi is confusing enough. And as someone who is bi, I would like to see more representation and fiction for people like myself because fandoms are so quick to erase bisexuality and pansexuality and criticize us when we speak up about it. So in this story, Cheryl is bi and she has broken up with her most recent girlfriend before meeting her next partner who is a man. And it’s fine.
If this upsets you, just swipe off of this post. Don’t leave mean comments or take digs at me because I’m not for any of this fandom infighting nonsense. It’s fiction and these characters can be whatever you want them to be in your stories.
However, if you don’t mind Cheryl liking both men and women, you don’t have an opinion either way, or your curious to see how this’ll pan out, stay tuned. I’d love to share this story with you. All are welcome so long as things stay civil and breezy.
So with that, I look forward to updating with the couple’s board and then the first chapter titlecard along with the chapter itself. Until then, stay lovely and stay groovy.💜

Three's A Crowd - Chp 1/?

Betty isn't usually one to believe in cliche romance tropes, but how can she not start to believe in them, when she's crushing on not just one, but both of her male roommates.
Read it here!

Northsiders refusing to welcome Southsiders isn’t an unfamiliar matter in the northside of Riverdale. Nearly everyone was the same; prejudice littered across the town with judgmental stares and narrow-mindedness that serves as immaturity, their lack of human decency evident with the way they’d rather spread hatred and negativity than actually get to know the Southsiders.
It’s gotten a lot boring, if the Southside Serpents were being honest.
Being constantly picked on by Reggie Mantle and the Bulldogs while the others watched, it was getting too old and unamusing for the gang. There’s nothing new to the way Reggie spits insults after insults that doesn’t even offend them in the slightest, the lack of creativity just making him seem like an unloved child. His mouth continuously moved despite the Serpents displaying a bored look on their faces, his superiority complex getting the best of him and causing him to be blind to his surroundings.
It was supposed to be the same; get picked on, everyone ignores, the Bulldogs get tired and leave, just like that. However, a new unfamiliar presence disrupted the routine that everyone seemingly fell into.
Adorned in an indie outfit of white button down, brown vest and khaki trousers that’s almost out of place in Riverdale High from its simplicity, you hurriedly walked towards the commotion and separated the Bulldogs from the Serpents by shoving Reggie back. The jock stumbled back from the force before glaring at you, who didn’t hesitate to stand tall in front of the Southsiders without much thought.
The Serpents who were in front, Sweet Pea, Toni and Fangs seemed taken aback by your protective stance, how you stood as if you were shielding them from the stupid jocks. They stared at the back of your head as you stared at Reggie, deeply unimpressed.
“Won’t there be a day where I don’t hear you making a fuss?” You asked rhetorically, sighing and adjusting the files you were holding in one arm. “It’s about time you grow up and act like your age, Mantle.”
Reggie sarcastically smiled, ignoring your remarks. “If it isn’t the nicest guy in Riverdale.” He tilted his head, “You would get nothing out of defending these fuckers, Mr. President. It’s only pointless, so get out of my way.”
“Picking on them is also pointless, what are you exactly trying to prove?” You retort, raising one of your eyebrows and shoving your empty hand in the pocket of your trousers. “This childish and immature actions must be definitely coming from being spoiled like a brat by your parents, but I assure you, you look nothing like but a pathetic attention-seeking bitch for going after people that couldn’t even give a single penny to care about you.”
A snicker erupts from behind you, undoubtedly from a couple of the Serpents, as Reggie clenched his jaw and stepped forward with a harsh glare.
“The fuck did you just say?”
“I’m sure you’re not deaf.” You fiercely met his eyes, unbothered by how he looks like he could punch you any moment. “I’m also sure what I said was true, but you’ll only prove me right if you attack me right now.” Your eyes cunningly glinted under the school lights.
Reggie grits his teeth, glares at the Serpents for a few moments before turning around to walk away, his teammates following behind.
A deep sigh escapes your lips as soon as he was out of sight, pinching the bridge of your nose under your round spectacles and turning around in your place to see the Serpents still standing there, observing you. They all plastered a curiosity on their faces since you were a new sight to them, someone who had never caught their eyes before. It’s also intriguing how you seem much more… nonchalant and mature than the other students, your atmosphere holding calmness that’s rare to find in people they’ve encountered.
“I apologize on their behalf. I know you could’ve handled it by yourselves, but settling things down is my job around here.” You formed an apologetic smile, which surprised them, along with the friendliness in your tone. No one had ever talked or looked at them like that. It was strange to interact with someone who had no malice or negativity in the atmosphere.
“Don’t be sorry!” Toni grinned, holding her hand out. “I’m Toni. These are Fangs and Sweet Pea.”
You shook her hand and introduced yourself before looking at the two guys on both of her sides, Sweet Pea’s eyes lingering on you causing you to flash him a shy smile and look back at Toni, gesturing to her pink hair. “I really like your hair, it’s pretty.”
“Thanks,” She happily fluffed her hair with her hands.
“This is probably your first time seeing me here, I’m actually the school president although Cheryl likes to act more like it.” You explained with a chuckle.
Sweet Pea raised his brows, “How come you’re not around?”
“I’ve been doing charity work for my family’s business,” You shrugged. “Teaching kids basic lessons, serving foods and drinks to people in need, visiting nursing homes, taking care of people with disability, something like that. My family’s business provide help to all community that needs a helping hand.”
Your explanation left them impressed as their eyes fell on the files in your arm, some posters and documents sticking out from it. There were also sticky notes and note tabs that shows your effort to the project, which revealed your genuineness to help people. Perhaps, Reggie Mantle was really telling the truth when he said you’re the nicest guy in Riverdale. The way you smiled was genuine and warm, as if it came from the bottom of your heart, looking at them with nothing but kindness and friendliness behind your bright eyes that sparkles in excitement.
Toni found you adorable, your softness coming off as unexpected from your sophisticated attitude. Fangs found you cool, your lack of hesitation in calling out other’s bullshit even when people were just muttering among themselves making him laugh and want to befriend you more.
Sweet Pea, on the other hand, found you endearing. You were like a bright soul that got lost in a jungle full of animals, the only sane and more human person in this town. Your soothing laugh tugs at the strings on his heart as warmth spreads across his chest, an unfamiliar feeling building up in his stomach. He admires the way you push your glasses up with one finger when it slides down, the way you furrow your brows when concentrating, the way your fingers flip the page of the files you’ve made by yourself.
You had enthusiastically joined them in class when you found out they shared the same one as you, choosing to sit near them so you’ll be able to have hushed conversations while the teacher discussed some nonsense.
Everyday, you would spend time with them despite the amount of students wanting to converse with you, becoming some sort of an unofficial member of their little circle as you share them some accomplishments you’ve achieved. Getting taught by you in their studies proved to be so much effective than listening to boring professors when Sweet Pea discovered he actually excelled at mathematics while Toni at history and Fangs at science, with Jughead not being surprised at the outcome. He did expect it since you were one of the most excellent students.
The four of them occupied the seats on the corner of the classroom, Jughead and Toni on the last row with Sweet Pea and Fangs on the front, unbothered by the subtle looks being thrown their way as you sat in front of them concentrated on a paper. You were seemingly working on another project for your family business.
Sweet Pea couldn’t help but stare at you, admiring how your structured features shift each time you come up with ideas. He wanted to ask you on something about the paperwork he was doing, but admiring you first seemed ideal in his head.
Feeling someone drill a hole on the side of your face, you turned to meet Sweet Pea’s eyes and your features softened, a warm smile spreading across your lips. He made sure to engrave it in his eyes.
“What’s up, Pea? You’re staring.” You chuckled, sounding like a soothing melody in Sweet Pea’s ears as his face also softens.
“I kinda need help with this,” He says, voice uncharacteristically quiet and warm, scooting closer to show you his notebook. “You okay with me bothering you for a bit?”
“Sure, I wouldn’t mind.” You shrugged and settled your pen on top of the desk, fully facing him to start explaining where he didn’t understand. Sweet Pea kept nodding each time you explained, his gaze never leaving your face yet still understanding everything you say, a subtle almost peaceful smile across his lips.
Both of you had failed to notice the three of your friends burning holes into the two of you.
“Are they…?” Jughead trailed off, pointing at you.
Both Toni and Fangs shook their heads, “Not yet, unfortunately.” They replied in sync before Fangs adds, “Though I think it’s a matter of time before Sweets make a move.”
“Bet,” Jughead smirks.
They weren’t wrong.
Tumblr media
The Serpents and the Corefour with Kevin and Cheryl gathered in the cafeteria, unbothered by looks shot by Northsiders as they conversed among one another, light meals in front of each of them with the exception of Sweet Pea who was restlessly drumming on the table with his hands. He keeps looking back at the entrance, as if he expects someone to barge in any moment.
Toni and Fangs exchanged a glance with smirks before Jughead nudged Sweet Pea lightly to catch his attention. “Where’s your lunch?”
“Didn’t get any,” The tall serpent shrugged, but failing to hide his excitement despite his attempt.
“Right, ‘cause your boyfriend’s making you one.” Toni snickers, wiggling her eyebrows teasingly. Sweet Pea scoffed and rolled his eyes, but couldn’t resist the smile spreading across his lips.
The cafeteria doors opened as you finally enter with a lunch box and box of cupcakes in both hands, your eyes scanning across the room before falling on your boyfriend. A smile easily crossing Sweet Pea’s face when you waved enthusiastically and started rushing towards their table.
He immediately pulls you to sit on his lap and you peck him on the lips as a greeting, making your friends let out awes. You giggled after pulling away, making him smile. “What’s up, baby?”
“I made a lunch for you,” You showed him the round metallic lunch box with an excited grin. “It’s really not much, but I’m confident with my cooking skills so I promise it’s not poisonous. I also baked cupcakes!” Placing the lunch box in front of Sweet Pea on the table, you set the box of cupcakes down in the middle to ensure it wasn’t just for your lover.
Sweet Pea’s eyes sparkled in joy, his atmosphere radiating happiness that the Serpents had almost never seen him with. His anger issues tend to be the most noticeable trait of him, but ever since he got with you, they feel like it calmed down a bit. He kisses you on the cheek as a sign of gratitude before opening the lunch box and coming across his favourite foods, making his smile widen if that was possible. It made you smile softly, ruffling the back of his hair.
“Aww, aren’t there any for us?” Fangs asked, his arm thrown around Kevin’s shoulders.
“I want some too,” Toni whines beside Cheryl, attempting to reach her hand into the lunch box but being swatted lightly by Sweet Pea with a glare.
“Don’t you fucking dare.”
You laughed at their interaction and gestured to the thick and big box of cupcakes, “I couldn’t make lunch so I over-baked some cupcakes. Sorry pals, maybe next time.”
Everyone letting out cheers and noises of excitement, Cheryl stands up to open the big package and distribute each, the delicious sweet scent of baked goods making them sniff it. Awing at the sight of different flavoured cupcakes, Fangs couldn’t help but take a bite of his chocolate flavoured one, letting out satisfied noises before holding it out for Kevin to have a taste.
You also picked a banana flavoured cupcake for yourself after observing their reactions, pleased at the satisfaction and pleasant surprise coating their faces. Having a mother who opened her own bakery by your house had its perks; you were able to learn how to bake and cook many things through helping her, making it your new hobby. It also helped greatly in terms of charity work — you can share foods to people who aren’t financially capable and give them the opportunity to taste what they’ve never tasted before. Your father became even more proud that you’ve found more ways than one to help the people in need.
“This is so fucking good,” Sweet Pea remarks while munching on the lunch you gave him, oblivious to the loving gaze you had on him.
Everyone watches with soft smiles on their faces, how equally in love with each other you looked despite the obvious differences between your upbringing.
It came as a shock to everyone — except the Serpents — when the news spread that the nicest guy in Riverdale and the rage filled Serpent were dating. Some people placed a bet on how long it will last, some people showed their prejudice and disappointment, some people genuinely didn’t care.
Offhanded commentators were quickly shut off when the two of you displayed affection and love towards each other and ignored them entirely. No one could even tell you in person how much you let them down for associating with the worst one of Serpents because you always acted ignorant with too much happiness. If someone were to tell you that it was a terrible choice to date Sweet Pea, they were met with your passive-aggressive remarks on questionable choices they’ve made in the past that you somehow knew about. It got terrifying, to say the least.
The difference in your upbringing, status, or anything else didn’t matter at all. Neither of you judged each other for what you are.
Sweet Pea never questioned your unconditional kindness despite feeling upset when you let assholes slide, instead choosing to get angry at them for your sake. You never questioned his status as a gang member despite the several unpleasant rumours about Southside Serpents, instead choosing to learn what he does in their daily life and educate yourself.
The two of you fit together perfectly like a puzzle, as if you were each other’s missing piece. Arguments happen sometimes, but it’s quickly finished before the next day.
Really funny how the most healthy and non-toxic relationship in all of Riverdale is between a young Serpent and a young Humanitarian.
Unsurprisingly, the Serpents were quick to treat you as their own even before Sweet Pea had begun dating you. Your lack of judgment made every single one of them comfortable in your presence, often greeting you wherever you go and even helping you out when you need an extra hand, unafraid to be themselves knowing you wouldn’t think low of them. Your boyfriend’s friends were the most happiest at how their gang was being treated by you; all of them had nearly forgotten what it’s like to be seen as normal.
However, one question always remained in the back of their heads.
Could you get violent if pushed hard enough?
You never were.
There’s always an angelic halo floating above your head no matter where you go and no matter how aggressive your mouth gets. Sure, you spit out impressive insults sometimes when you get truly irritated by some idiotic behaviour, but that never really changed anyone’s perspective that you couldn’t hurt a fucking fly.
You were still soft, still kind. It’s impossible to even think about you having violent outbursts, it just seems too uncharacteristic of you.
Sweet Pea was always the one to throw fists when someone insults you knowing you’d never defend yourself. He’s the hot-headed while you were the cool-headed. It’s always been like that, and everyone refused to believe otherwise. After all, how can a Humanitarian go against what they usually do — helping people?
The obnoxious sound of Bulldogs’ laughter causes your smile to vanish in an instant as they approach with Reggie in front, leading them like a pack of filthy dogs as usual. Your friends stopped as well, each displaying a look of annoyance.
“What a bunch of losers sharing lil’ cupcakes,” Reggie mocks, earning snickers from his teammates.
Veronica rolled her eyes at their childishness, “Oh my god, just leave.”
“Shut up, bitch.” Reggie spat and Veronica was quick to hold her boyfriend Archie back, shaking her head to tell him it isn’t worth it. The Bulldogs laughed when the ginger sat back down, cockiness evident on their body language.
You caught Reggie eyeing the remaining cupcakes that were left on the box and quickly pulled it away before he could even reach a hand out, not noticing the way Sweet Pea was quieter than usual despite his nemesis’ arrival. “This isn’t yours, kid. Don’t even try taking one.” You sternly scolded, moving off of Sweet Pea’s lap to sit beside him closer to Reggie.
“Don’t fucking call me kid, I ain’t one.” The jock hissed, sharply glaring at you.
“Then quit acting like one.” You retort without missing a beat.
Letting out a scoff, Reggie’s lips twist up in a sneer. “At least I’m not acting like a pathetic little fag hanging out with other fags.”
“Reginald!” Cheryl shouts with disbelief, standing up abruptly at the same time Sweet Pea slammed his fist on the table while shooting Reggie a death glare. You quickly hold his bicep to calm him down, not wanting him to get in trouble. Everyone held unpleasant looks towards the nasty slur he just uttered, disgusted by his nerve.
“Fucking asshole,” Toni spat distastefully.
The Bulldogs laughed her off to themselves like a bunch of hyenas before Reggie’s gaze fell on Sweet Pea that didn’t seem to let his fist talk this time, a knowing smirk crossing his face. “What’s up, bro? You’re too quiet, we hit you too hard last time or something?”
You scowled and looked back at your boyfriend to see him glaring threateningly at Reggie, as if he was avoiding your gaze. “What is he talking about, Pea?” You question with a stern tone, then repeated it to the jock when he doesn’t answer, “What are you talking about?”
Reggie raised his brows, “You know nothing?”
“What are you talking about, Mantle.” You emphasised through gritted teeth.
Seeming amused by your slight impatience, Reggie tilts his head and mockingly chuckles under his breath. “Your little boyfriend here seems like he doesn’t know his place, so we taught him a lesson is all. You should put a tight leash on your dog if you don’t want dudes to jump him.”
Disbelief and anger morphed on your face, about to stand up from your seat to confront him more, only to feel Sweet Pea’s arm wrap around your torso to keep you in place. “Baby, don’t.” He whispered.
“What the hell, Reggie?” Betty gives him an incredulous look.
“Unfortunate that he didn’t fight back. Would’ve long been kicked out and thrown in jail if he did.” Reggie snickered along with his teammates before walking away, flipping the box of cupcakes in the process.
You glared after them with a clenched jaw and turned to Sweet Pea, your bright eyes piercing right through him that forced him to make eye contact with you despite his urge to avoid it. “Where are you hurt?” Your tone soft yet an edge to it, a suppressed anger only noticeable by Sweet Pea.
“I’m fine,” He tries to reassure you, turning to continue with his lunch.
“No, he said they jumped you.” You shake your head sternly and grabbed his shoulder to forcefully turn his body back, freezing when he yelped in pain and flinched. Sweet Pea swallowed, cursing himself internally for proving you right on accident, and looked up at you slowly. Your face was unreadable, which brought more nervousness on him.
Everyone watched as Sweet Pea sighs defeatedly and pull down his shirt to reveal the large bruises on his collarbone, your eyes widening and getting closer to inspect if it was shattered. Luckily it didn’t seem so, but your guts told you this wasn’t the only injury he got. Glancing up at Sweet Pea, you pulled up his shirt as gently as possible. Your breath hitched; a large, purple and yellow bruises littering his ribs and stomach.
“Motherfucker,” Fangs cursed in anger as rage filled him, Toni, and Jughead— however, before anyone could react, a chair loudly slammed against the floor from the sheer force of someone abruptly standing up.
A figure was sprinting towards Reggie in a flash, forcefully turning him around by the jacket before a strong fist collided with his face and he was tackled down to the floor. Gasps erupted all over the place as everyone in the cafeteria stood up in shock upon realising it was you, fearfulness appearing on their faces when you began punching him repeatedly without remorse.
Trapping Reggie under your body, you pulled him by his jacket only to punch him square on the jaw and slam his head on the concrete floor, pained noises leaving his mouth as he attempted to protect his head and face. Two Bulldogs scrambling closer to help Reggie while one of the others rushed off to call the Principal, you grabbed the arm of the guy who tried pulling you off of their leader and twisted it before kneeing his gut, making him fall to the floor on his knees. You used it as your opportunity to pull his arm to his back and dislocate him, a scream erupting from his mouth. The other guy swings his fist in your direction, which you dodged and kicked him towards a table, quickly grabbing his head to repeatedly slam his face on the hard surface.
Speechless was an understatement to describe what they felt witnessing the horrors of your rage with some trembling, some covering their eyes, and some unable to look away.
All you saw was red.
There’s nothing in your mind but to hurt the people that hurt the love of your life, dark and bloodthirsty eyes glinting dangerously as you look at Reggie’s bloodied state again. Blood pooled beneath his head as he coughed from the pain on his abdomen and head.
No one could recognise you — the gentle and soft atmosphere you usually surrounded yourself with being replaced by cold and lethal one. Rage is supposed to be foreign for someone as nice as you, but seemed fitting in this moment, as if you’ve been building it up within yourself until it exploded. The only ever push you needed was Sweet Pea being hurt to take everything out.
You were about to walk up to Reggie again before the sound of Sweet Pea’s voice calling your name reached you through the blood boiling in your head, and you stopped. Principal Weatherbee hurriedly rushed to the commotion, a look of terror spreading across his face after seeing you standing over Reggie’s beaten up state.
“Stop, stop, stop!” Weatherbee shouts, kneeling beside Reggie, who had passed out from the pain and shock.
Sweet Pea was the only one brave and courageous enough to approach you without hesitation, calling your name first to catch your attention as he gently pulled you by your forearm. “Stop, baby. That’s enough,” He whispered.
You stared Weatherbee down with calm rage and coldness that made fear dance across his face. “You teach your students to fight square and fair if they don’t want any more worse than this,” You muttered loud enough for him to hear, voice emotionless and non-remorseful.
Shifting your glare to the remaining Bulldogs that were frozen in their spot, they flinched when you stepped forward. “Gang up on my boyfriend again and I’ll fucking kill every single one of you,” You threatened with a murderous tone which told the graveness of it, making them nod their heads vigorously and care for their leader.
Weatherbee instructed them to bring Reggie and the two injured Bulldogs to the infirmary, then looked back at you with disbelief still on his expression. “Do you know what you have done? You could get expelled.”
“You think I care?” You challenged him, tilting your head. “They should’ve been expelled for what they did to Sweet Pea, but it wouldn’t matter because he’s a Southside Serpent, right? So I did exactly what they did to make them feel what it’s like, except it was just me alone. It’s a fair fight, Mr. Weatherbee. I don’t think I should be punished for making things equal between us.” You smiled, shrugging your shoulders nonchalantly before rolling your eyes and walking away with Sweet Pea’s hand in yours.
Sweet Pea pulled you down to sit with him and began inspecting your bloody, busted knuckles. You look up to see not only your friends but everyone else staring, causing you to scowl. “What?” You snarled and they all looked away in fear.
Sweet Pea shushes you with a look as you returned your gaze on him, flashing him an innocent smile. Rolling his eyes with a shake of his head, he takes out a midnight blue handkerchief from his jacket pocket to gently wipe off the blood from your knuckles. “You’re lucky you didn’t break any bones on your fist.”
You chuckled, “Babe, I literally learn martial arts. And they were the ones who got their bones broken.”
“Still, shouldn’t have done that.” He replied. “Let’s go to the infirmary, you need this disinfected.”
“If you want me to actually end up killing Reginald Mantle, then I’m down.” You smirked, earning a disapproving look from him.
Sweet Pea takes your glasses that you had removed before the fight with the Bulldogs and gently places it on the bridge of your nose, adjusting it so you’ll be able to see properly. “Babe, I really don’t think you should. I love you for it, I’ll fucking watch you beat the shit out of him over again, but it wouldn’t be good news for your family business if rumours spread you have violent tendencies.” He gave you a pointed look.
You scrunched your nose, “Only when someone messes with my Sweet Pea.”
“Being violent’s my job, baby.” He chuckles.
“Not really,” You pushed up your glasses with the tip of your middle finger before leaning on the table on your elbow. “Being constantly nice isn’t my job, sweetheart. I can’t really show humanity to someone who hurts you, and I promise this wouldn’t be the last time you’ll see me take revenge for you.”
Sweet Pea sighed.
He doesn’t want your reputation to be tainted; being the bad guy is not unfamiliar for him and he was going to keep it that way if it meant nobody thought of you negatively. You’ve worked hard to build trust among the community and proved yourself a kind and helping soul, Sweet Pea didn’t want people’s perspective of you to change. But it’s actually true how people misunderstood you; all you have is basic human decency, something which some people lack, you weren’t the divine only-do-good they perceived you to be.
You’re still human despite being more helpful and nice than average, so you obviously have imperfections — that is, not being able to contain your anger when the one you love is unfairly treated. You were intelligent, but sometimes, your fists speak for yourself when assholes tests your patience too many times. Sweet Pea knew that and always tried his best to prevent you from losing your temper, although it couldn’t be helped in this case.
“You were pretty badass there, dude.” Jughead remarks after seeing you’ve calmed down, getting over the initiate shock.
Fangs agreed, “Yeah, it was dope. We didn’t know you could fight.”
“And break bones.” Kevin added, astonished.
“Fucking lit,” Toni chimes in with a box of emergency kit in her hand that she placed on the table. You raised your brows, wondering when she got out the cafeteria to get it, but smiled nonetheless.
“But wait, you said you learn martial arts.” Archie spoke next with curiosity in his expression. “Where do you learn it? Since when?”
You chuckle at their excitement and eagerness, feeling happy for the lack of judgment. Sweet Pea starts tending to your busted knuckles as you reply to the ginger head, “My father’s a professional. He’s been training me and other kids who wants to learn self defence techniques. It’s part of the business.”
“So, you’ve always known how to beat up people but never did it before?” Fangs asked.
“Yeah,” You shrug. “It’s unnecessary to result to violence all the time. No one tested my patience as far as Mantle did, he really deserved that to shut up for once. It’s absolutely effective to people who can’t mind their own damn business.” Grinning almost childishly, the gang chuckles at your new side while Sweet Pea, unamused, presses the cotton ball a little too hard on your injury causing a hiss to erupt from your mouth.
He had a glare in his eyes. “Don’t fucking do that again, you’ll get hurt. You know those scumbags would get back at you.”
Your face softened at the concerned look in his eyes, how the hands that treats you trembled slightly. “Darling,” You softly called and intertwined your fingers with his. “You know I had to. They can’t gang up on you like that, it’s not right. I couldn’t see you hurt and just let it slide.”
Sweet Pea nibbled on his lower lip nervously, still a little upset.
“I know you’re worried about my reputation and all, but I’m your boyfriend, Sweets. You come first before that.” You ruffled his hair affectionately with your uninjured hand and smiled. “I don’t care about what other people think of me, I’m still going to defend you.”
Sweet Pea stared into your sincere eyes before sighing in defeat, looking down at your injured knuckles. “Fine. But promise me you wouldn’t take any hits, I fucking hate seeing you injured.”
You chuckled at the sternness in his voice and saluted jokingly, “Copy that, boss. That can be arranged.” He rolled his eyes with a smile.
Betty raised her brows, “Okay… Has this ever happened before?” Gesturing to you.
“Uh… kind of?” You grimaced, scratching your head, as everyone gave you a questioning look. “I didn’t really beat up anyone at that time, but I might have… punched a hole through the wall.”
They widened their eyes in surprise as Cheryl drops her jaw, “The science classroom!”
You winced and nodded.
Toni laughs with a shake of her head, somehow finding the situation funny. “Who knew the nicest boy had the beast within him?” She jokes. “I’m glad to see this more human side of you. You were always so nice it was almost unsettling.”
Smiling at her, you nodded in acknowledgement. That’s a comment you always heard from people, that you were unnatural for being too kind. You were taught since childhood how to be a decent human being but to never let anyone take advantage of you, so you were just balancing it out — no one ever saw this side of yours before because they weren’t being unreasonable. You only lose your patience when pushed hard enough.
You looked at Sweet Pea to see him already getting back on treating your wound, dabbing the cotton ball gently on the cuts, making you admire his every features. It was adorable how he cared for your reputation. Made you want to make out with him right then and there, but it wasn’t appropriate for a dining place.
Everyone looks at Toni when your attention focused on Sweet Pea, shaking their heads slightly. Not certain if they were glad or scared to learn new things about you that’s been unknown for a long time.
“You don’t have to worry,” Your boyfriend speaks up without averting his gaze. “He’s not easy to piss off unless you push the wrong buttons all at once.”
“Sweet Pea’s the wrong button,” You immediately added with a grin that resembled a Golden Retriever, except it seems actually threatening. “Couldn’t care less about my haters.”
Of course, none of them disagreed to that.

The next day, Reggie walks in with his tail tucked between his legs after seeing you leaned back on your locker with Sweet Pea and the entire gang. Your mouth chewing on a bubblegum, that stupid glasses of yours resting on the bridge of your nose as usual with an outfit that reminds everyone of an elite nerd student.
Bruises and cuts littered around Reggie’s face with a prominent black eye, busted lip and swollen cheek. His steps slow to not add pressure on his injured leg and bruised torso. The students stared at him as if he was something else, probably gossiping among themselves about how he’s the one who caused the nicest boy in Riverdale seem like a completely different person.
He scoffs. You’re not the nicest boy at all.
You can’t hold that title anymore after the incident, but Reggie knew he didn’t have the guts to mock you about it when your presence alone made him cower and feel small.
As he carefully walked through the hallway, your eyes finally catches his figure and darkens almost in an instant, bright expression dropping to a blank look. Your friends were quick to become nervous seeing your almost deadly look, although Sweet Pea found it fun and amusing. Reggie looked at you as he stopped, afraid that if he walked past you’re just going to swing at him.
You cocked your head slightly, eyes burning deep into his soul as you stared at him from head to toe and circled around him like a predator watching its prey. Reggie felt uneasiness cloud his chest. He would’ve never done something like that if he knew the consequences to it.
Bumping on his shoulder that made him hiss in slight pain due to the injury on his shoulder, you returned to your place and sneered. “Where did the big bad dog go? He afraid of the faggot now or somethin’?” You laughed mockingly.
Reggie licked his lips nervously, not meeting your gaze.
You leaned your head down to forcefully look at him in the eye, grinning at the fear there. “All of this is merely a warning, Mantle. You go after my boyfriend like that again and I promise it’ll be much worse.”
Gulping, he nods his head vigorously and scrambles away when you finally decided to let him go.
Sweet Pea snickers under his breath after Reggie’s gone, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and pulling you close. “Really cool, baby. He was so fucking scared!” Smirking smugly at his laughter, you wrapped an arm back around his waist securely.
“After what happened, you probably can’t hold the nicest guy reputation anymore.” Archie remarked which causes you to laugh in agreement.
“Yeah. Besides, I don’t even know who gave me that nickname.”
“For a quick information, it was Chuck and he actually did it to mock you but it backfired.” Cheryl stated and everyone hums, finding it makes sense.
You feel a little bit glad for lashing out, knowing not everyone will perceive you as this perfectly nice guy who could do no wrong. Having that kind of expectations are truly heavy on your shoulders when you’re not even half of what they expect. Your kindness isn’t infinity nor unconditional; it wears off like any human beings, you didn’t know why people thought otherwise when it came to you. It’s impossible to keep being nice when some assholes just ganged up on your boyfriend who’s never done anything wrong.
Sweet Pea’s always been precious to you. He’s the love of your life that brightens up your day, a ray of sunshine even though he’s got anger issues and you would do anything to prevent that brightness from wearing off. Now they know not to mess with him if they don’t want to get their asses beaten.
“Hey, Sweets?”
He hummed, turning to you. “Yeah?”
You peck his lips and smile, “I love you.”
Sweet Pea smiled back, pecking your cheek. “Love you too, baby.”
Beware of the nicest guy; no one’s ever allowed to hurt your boyfriend without the consequences of getting your fist on their face.

Sweet Pea  knows that everything is supposed to stay the way it is; he shouldn’t hunger for human blood; he shouldn’t egg on Reggie until he transforms because Sweet Pea found out how much better werewolf blood tastes.
He doesn’t steal bites from Reggie’s arm or shoulder. He’s a good vampire and follows Dr. Curdle’s pre-packaged blood bags for the rest of his life. He tries to play as much of it off as teenage rebellion as possible; but when they merge the schools; stating budget cuts and magic issues with the southside. Well no one is surprised when the southside pack go on a rampage; or when a couple of rent a cops show up to the hospital bleeding from puncture marks that some strange bullet made; an easy lie everyone knows to repeat.
Reggie knows he shouldn’t be playing with Sweet Pea like this. He knows being around a vampire isn’t safe; that he has to disguise it as a want to be around other werewolves; around the Serpents; not the only vampire from the southside who’s already in the center of a pack of werewolves. Why would he want another one; least of all one from the Northside who doesn’t know anything to do with being a werewolf.
Reggies stomach sinks; he can smell it on you; he knows Sweet Pea can too. Human. He knows that the Lodge’s hadn’t been hunting so there shouldn’t be any new prey in the area.
“Hi! Sorry my family just moved in; we live next door to you... the uh...”
“Mantles; I’m Reggie; this is Sweet Pea; he’s just my friend...” You arch your eyebrows; neither of them look far enough apart to be just friends, but maybe they’re the stereotypical small town bestie’s who grew close despite being on different sides of the track. you chuckle to yourself about that and try your best not to ruin your first impression with your new neighbors especially if they were so attractive.
“You’ll be at Riverdale High right?” Reggie asks and you nod back; they seemed friendly and don’t seem wrapped up in each other the way the other couples you’d heard about were.
“Mhm; starting tomorrow; middle of the week, middle of the year; such a fun time having to try to invade all the clique’s and premade friend groups...”
“Oh we don’t have many of those...” He nods towards you and you grin relieved he wants to know your name.
“Y/N.”
“Pleasure to meet you Y/N. I'm Sweet Pea, I know he said it already but just in case.” He winks and you laugh. You’re surprised that both of them seem to be flirting with you. You weren’t considered anything but average before but maybe it's just the novelty of being the new girl. You internally grimace hoping the rest of the school isn't like that.
"One of the things you need to keep in mind is that while there aren't clique's; there's uh, other friend groups…." Sweet Pea seems nervous and you're confused until you realize he and a whole group of other students are wearing the same jacket.
"A gang? You're in a gang?? Are you in one too?" You gesture to Reggie's letterman jacket and he laughs a little shaking his head.
"They're not a real gang, well they don't have a rival and they're not like running the town or anything.." you can't help but notice the nervous glances and laughter at Reggie's comment.
"Hey Y/N you been to Pop's yet?" he asks as if nothing has happened and maybe it hasn't, maybe you're just reading too far into everything.
You shake your head and Reggie beams, you swear you can see fangs.
"Would you let me take you? It's like everyone's local hangout, well one of the only hang outs.."
"Oh my god Reggie stop with the puppy dog eyes, we can go, I was going to say yes anyways.." you playfully grumble and he laughs far too much at your protest. You guess it's another inside joke as some of the people in Sweet Pea's gang chuckle as well.
Pop's is somehow better than anything Reggie had attempted to describe and you can't wait to go back, the food was heavenly and the atmosphere was just as wonderful, while it was clear there were groups that came regularly none of them felt like they were closed off or excluding anyone.
"So the town seems pretty close, no dark secrets keeping lovers apart or anything, or have I not been here long enough?" You tease Reggie who snorts and shakes his head.
"Basically the whole town is the secret." You're surprised that he does actually get dirty looks this time, proper glares and you'd swear a few snarls as well.
“Oh well I have secrets of my own.” You manage to say it playfully; not choking it out like you used to in the town you left. It seemed wherever you moved to always got it out of you eventually. Something was following you; pushing you away from everyone who you tried to make friends with; you were waiting for the nightmares and eventual rejection from Riverdale; but for now you were just going to try to enjoy the possible date with Reggie.

Regpea? Reggie+SweetPea
oh god I hope you like this!
3. “I’m cold, can you cuddle with me?” “No.”
Reggie was sitting on his couch when Sweet Pea walked in to his home. Pea let out a sigh of relief as the heat from the home hit his wind chilled face. He removed his coat and went to the living room, where Reggie normally liked to reside. “Hi Reg.”
“Hey,” Reggie greeted him, barely looking up from his phone where he was writing down some ideas he wanted to show Ronnie about the speakeasy. Pea took a seat on the couch beside Reggie, pulling one of his feet into the couch and grabbing the blanket from the back in an attempt to warm up.
“Whatcha doin?” Pea asked.
“Research. Veronica asked me to come up with some theme nights for the speakeasy since the Casino night was such a success…” was Reggie’s answer.
“Oh.” Sweet Pea said not wanting to bother him while he was focussed. Pea instead grabbed the remote to the television, and flipped aimlessly through the channels before settling on Freeform just in time for the hot chocolate scene of The Polar Express.
40 minutes later, even with the blanket, Sweet Pea had not yet warmed up to his liking. He thought about going to get his coat, but then realized that Reggie was a space heater. A space heater who was still working. Five more minutes passed before Sweet Pea got antsy.
“Reggieeeeeee?” He drawled to get the other’s attention.
“Yeah Sweets?”
“I’m cold.”
“There’s more blankets in the closet over there.” Reggie gestured towards the closet near the kitchen.
“But I don’t want artificial heat. Can you cuddle with me?”
Reggie looks up and makes eye contact before replying with a curt “No.”
Sweet Pea feigned a hurt face, and scoffed. Turning back to the television, he started planning how he was gonna make sure he wasn’t cold anymore. First, he positioned his body so that his upper body was in the middle of the couch while his feet were laid out on the end. A couple minutes passed, and Sweet Pea decided he could scoot closer to Reggie, not quite putting his head on Reggie’s shoulder but on the shoulder adjacent pillow.
“What are you doing Sweets?” Reggie asked, trying to not to laugh and keep a straight face.
“I told you I was cold. And you literally run hot. Like it’s so much warmer over here and I’m not even touching you. I’m not stupid, why would I pass that up?” Sweet Pea was slightly exasperated at Reggie for making him work this hard.
“So I’m supposed to just cuddle because you want me to?” Now, Reggie was full out smiling, cheeks dimpling, teeth showing.
“You say that like it’s a bad thing….” Sweet Pea’s own dimples were now showing, because he knew he had won this one.
Reggie put his phone on the side table, and stood up “Okay, lay the other way.”
Sweet Pea looked at him quizzically, “What?”
“Just trust me Sweets.”
So, Sweet Pea lay in his original position, but Reggie stretched his legs to where he previously been sitting.
Reggie decided to lay his body on Sweet Pea, like a human blanket.
“Oof, not what I meant Reg.”
“But it’s what you get, sorry Sweets.” His eyes twinkled with mischief.
Sweet Pea went to make another snide remark but he had to admit, he was no longer cold. They stayed like this, until Reggie accidentally fell asleep, making himself dead weight on top of Sweet Pea.
“Wait, Reg you can’t fall asleep! Reggie!” Sweet Pea tried to wriggle out for under him, but couldn’t because Reggie was solid like a block. Barely opening his eyes, Reggie positioned his body behind Sweet Pea, wrapped his arms around his waist, and pulled Pea into his chest.
“That better?” Reggie grumbled.
“Much, I can breathe now.”
“Shut up. I can very easily move completely.” Reggie bluffed, he liked that Sweet Pea needed him and wouldn’t think to move from this position.
“No, no it’s fine.” Pea conceded quickly, he’d just gotten what he wanted he wouldn’t let it go that fast.
“Okay, so shhh… I’m trying to sleep.”
The two boys stayed on the couch like this, sometimes sleeping or sometimes talking, for much of the afternoon, until Sweet Pea got a call asking him to come home.

Waldo Weatherbee walked calmly into the class. The buzz of chatter quieted as he scanned the room, the class waiting to see who was going to be snatched up by the latest of Riverdale’s dramas. After a few moments he pointed at Reggie. “Mr Mantle. With me. Now.” Reggie sighed as he stood up. He headed out of the class room with curious eyes fixed on him.
“What did he do?” Archie whispered as a new buzz of chatter took over the class.
“I heard he broke something in the library. Weatherbee is making him show the new student around that’d transferring today.” Kevin whispered back.
“New student? Only one? Maybe it’s Jug?” Betty said. Veronica reached over to give her arm a sympathetic squeeze.
“He would have said.” Archie pointed out.
“No need to worry my dear chums. I imagine I’ll have all the deets by second period and can fill you in.” Cheryl said from behind the small group. She smiled sarcastically as they all looked at her.
Out in the hallway Reggie was being filled in on his new duties. He was to babysit the new transfer student. He tried to object but Weatherbee pointed out that after the stunt he’d pulled recently, that resulted in the school hall being trashed, he would either show the new student around or be kicked off the football team. Reluctantly Reggie agreed and was led to Weatherbee’s office. He stayed by the door while Weatherbee stepped into the room.
“(Y/N). This is Reggie Mantle. He’ll be showing you around today. You have the same classes.” Weatherbee explained to you. When you looked over your shoulder to give Reggie a friendly but nervous smile you hesitated. Reggie was scowling at the floor. “You have everything you need? Time table, we’ve gone over everything… is there anything else you would like to talk about?”
“No Sir. Thank you. I’m all set.” You said politely. Reggie scoffed a little and rolled his eyes as you shook Weatherbee’s hand and turned to leave his office. You followed Reggie out into the hall. He didn’t wait or acknowledge you as you shuffled your backpack and plodded along after him.
“I’m (Y/N).” You said as you hurried to catch up with Reggie. He ignored you and continued to walk through the halls. Every now and then he would point to a room and say what it was. You tried to jot down a rough map with a notebook and pen once you realised that Reggie probably wouldn't help you again, once he felt he’d completed the task that had been forced on him. The tour was short and you felt that you managed to get to grips with the layout, though you would definitely end up getting mixed up with some of the corridors.
At one point he opened the door to a classroom. Several curious faces stared at you. Then he was off again, showing you the gym, auditorium and then finishing with the cafeteria as the bell for lunch rang. As soon as Reggie spotted someone across the room he left you. Clearly your efforts to make friends had failed. Sitting at a table by yourself you sighed and opened your backpack. When you closed it you found a red headed girl smiling at you from the other side of the table. You jumped a little, having not heard her sit down.
“You must be (Y/N). I’m Cheryl, the only name you’ll need to remember around these parts.” She said confidently.
“Oh. Yeah. I’m (Y/N).” You said awkwardly.
“Have you been living in our fair Riverdale long? Did you move from the city?” She pressed.
“Not… not long. My mom isn’t from here. I grew up in her hometown. But my Grandpa used to live across town but he bought a house not far from the school he rented it out until he was too old to take care of it. He passed away a while ago. My dad decided to move the two of us to town.” You explained. Cheryl’s smile tensed and she leant forwards.
“Across town? As in the southside?” She said the southside as if it was a dirty word. You frowned.
“Yeah. I guess… I didn’t realise it was such a big deal. We’re planning on fixing up the old house and renting it out. We’re moving into the house on Elm street.” You said hesitantly, unsure why Cheryl had tensed up.
“Oh. That’s where you live B!” Another girl said as she and a blond girl approached the table. “I’m Veronica. This is Betty and that hunk over there is Archie. You live on the same street as Archie and Betty.”
“Oh. I think your mom came over to greet us. She gave us potluck. I’m pretty sure that she implied that she thought my Dad murdered my Mom.” You laughed a little and Betty gave you a sheepish look.
“I’m so sorry! She gets these ideas and totally runs with them.” Betty said and laughed as she and Veronica sat down. “Did Reggie cover the school? With his tour.”
“Yeah. I’m pretty sure I’ve got everything down.” You said as you reached into your bag for your lunch box.
“Will you be trying out to be a vixen?” Cheryl asked suddenly.
“Excuse me?” You answered.
“A cheerleader. We’re all on the team.” Veronica explained.
“Oh. I’m not really into sports so I probably won't be.” You said, trying to be dismissive without being rude.
“Oh.” Was all Cheryl said.
Within a week everyone knew everything about you. At least that was how it felt. You fell in with Midge Klump and Ethel Muggs. The two of you had a study group that was so successful you managed to recruit a few people into joining. Cheryl, Betty and Veronica did little more than greet you if they passed by in the corridor. Occasionally you’d walk home with Betty and sometimes Archie as well but you did little more than wave to her across the road. In fact you spent more time with Archie’s father. Fred had been meeting with your dad to discuss the work that could be done on the two properties. They seemed to be familiar with each other. After pressing you found that he had gone to primary school with Fred and a few of his friends before your grandmother moved out of town with your dad.
Nothing much happened to you and your friend for a few months. There were whispers of drama that sounded so outlandish that you didn’t pay much attention.
On one morning Weatherbee interrupted the gathering in the study room. “(Y/N), could I have a word outside?” He didn’t sound irritated or upset but you nodded, gathering your things and leaving the room. Reggie watched carefully as you left the room. He often found himself looking out for you. Archie said he must have a crush on you but he always denied it.
“What can I help you with Sir?” You asked. Weatherbee’s face turned stern for a moment.
“I was wondering if I could assign you as a tour guide. You’ve not been here long and I thought you might be able to help the new students transition. I can give you a letter towards your college application.” He waited for you to take in what he said and smile slightly when you agreed.
“Of course Sir. Who will I be showing around?”
“We have several students from the southside school joining us in a matter of minutes. There are a few I thought you could help. Toni Topaz. Sweet Pea, Fangs Fogarty and Jughead Jones. Now Jughead used to go here so I imagine that he will fit back in.” Weatherbee excused himself as someone walked down the hall towards him. You went to wait at the front doors. Ethel waved at you as you hurried over.
“Have you heard the news?” She asked.
“Yeah. The other school has some students transferring.” You muttered as the two of you waited.
“No! The school was shut down. There was a drug ring under it. That guy Midge was hanging out with told her.” Ethel said excitedly. Both of you looked up to the speakers at the top of the wall as Weatherbee announced that the Southside school students would be joining the school. There was an explosion of activity. People shouted and argued about the news. Students suddenly flowed everywhere as you and Ethel waited. There was a lull as Veronica and Archie set up a table down the hall from the door.
“(Y/N)? Are you waiting for someone?” Veronica asked curiously. You showed her the slip of paper with the names of the new students on. She nodded and muttered something to Archie. “We’re setting up a welcome desk. If you want to help we can find the students you’re showing around in a moment.”
“Sure.” You said as you followed Archie to the copier room.
“You know Jug and I grew up together. We’re friends. He used to go here.” Archie said cheerfully.
“Oh so I won’t need to show him around?” You asked curiously.
“No. But he’ll probably let you, just to be nice. That’s Jug.” Archie said. He handed you a stack of class schedules and the two of you headed back to help Veronica finish up. The Southside students arrived shortly after that. Most were clad in the same leather jacket and some of them seemed impossibly tall. Veronica called them over to the welcome table and you tried to smile and look friendly. A few people in the corridors seemed to be staring or glaring their way.
Veronica welcomed the group and started to list what she had at the desk. Some looked uninterested at the things on the table while the one at front smiled slightly as if relieved at the welcome. Veronica was cut off by a sharp voice behind you. Turning you saw Cheryl, a group of Vixens and a gathering of the football players. Reggie was among them. As they got closer he made eye contact with you but glanced away rather quickly. The tension built quickly but you missed what was said as Reggie seemed to barge you away with the southside students and backwards in the crowd that had gathered. Jocie and Kevin, who had been quietly observing, were quick to help you find your feet as you stumbled backwards and tried to steady yourself. By the time you’d pushed your way back to the front of the crowd Archie had stepped in.
“That’s enough! Those of you that have assignments please help the new students get organised, everyone else to class.” Weatherbee said. People slowly started to disperse. Looking around you saw Ethel had found her group and was handing them sheets of paper from Veronica’s table. Archie said something to, who you assumed was, Jughead. He looked your way, nodded and grabbed a few sheets of paper from the table and said goodbye to Veronica before heading over.
“I’m Jughead.” He said as he held out his hand.
“(Y/N). I’m your assigned buddy.” You said cheerfully. It was hard to remain cheerful as the largest of the crowd had followed Jughead and was staring down at you.
“This is Sweet Pea.” Jughead added when he followed your gaze.
“I’m Toni, this is Fangs.” Toni introduced. She smiled when you looked down at your list and counted them.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you all. I’m showing you around this morning and then you have classes after lunch. We have the same classes so I’ll be around. Oh and my friends and I have a study class. We’re pretty full but Weatherbee said if we can get six more people to join we can move to a bigger class room. So, feel free to sign up.” You said with a cheerful smile. It was easier to be chipper with Sweet Pea glaring at Reggie. You hadn’t noticed that Reggie had been lurking down the hall. He beckoned you over. “Um. One second.”
The group stopped and watched you head over to Reggie.
“You don’t have to show them round.” Reggie said.
“Weatherbee asked…”
“Yeah, he can’t make you do that and Jones knows his way around. You don’t have to hang around with them.” Reggie insisted. You frowned at him then looked back at the others. Toni was scowling with her arms crossed. Jughead was watching you curiously while the other two did their best to look intimidating.
“Why wouldn’t I want to show them around?” You asked. Reggie sighed.
“Look. I’m just trying to keep an eye out for you. They’re from the Southside.” Reggie seemed irritated that you didn’t understand why that was a big deal and sighed, stomping off. You slowly headed back over to the group.
“People here are really weird… sorry. I mean it’s great here.” You said quickly.
“Yeah. They’re a little off. Some of them.” Jughead said with a grin.
“It’s kind of like the Stepford wives. Anyway let’s start the tour or Weatherbee will come back and send us to math class.” You said with a friendly gesture. You led the way through several corridors. The group seemed politely interested but like they would rather be anywhere else. Jughead even managed to show you a few places you hadn’t found. “Do you guys like snakes because of the grass snakes?” You asked as you started to wrap up the tour.
“Excuse me?” Sweet Pea said.
“Oh. Well my granddad used to live on the Southside and we’re fixing up his old house to rent and there’s grass snakes everywhere. I was just… I just assumed, you’re all wearing snake jackets and… well the grass snakes. I assumed you were big fans.” Your voice grew less and less confident as you spoke. Sweet Pea and Fangs laughed and nudged each other while Jughead and Toni tried to hide their smiles.
“We’re big snake fans.” Sweet Pea said.
“Oh that’s fun.” You said with a smile and headed towards the gym. Once you showed them around you headed to the cafeteria. The bell rang and you gestured to where you liked to sit. Jughead showed you a table that was tucked right out of the way that you hadn’t noticed before. They said goodbye to you and headed to Jughead’s table while you split off to catch up with Ethel and Midge.
The next few days you found that Sweet Pea, Fangs or Toni would come to you to help them find their way if they couldn’t find Jughead. Once they knew their way around they would wave if they saw you in the corridor. Even Sweet Pea would crack a smile as he saw you coming. They joined your study group, though you suspected that Toni was the only one studying. During a busy weekend working on the Southside house with your dad they showed up with a few friends to help out.
“Hey! (Y/N)!” Sweet Pea called. Reggie had been talking to you about giving the Bulldogs special treatment in your study group so that none of the players with low grades would be dropped from the team.
“We’re busy.” Reggie snapped.
“Oh. Really? Didn’t look like it.” Sweet Pea said with a snide smile. The smile turned gentle as he turned to you. “You have that basketball hoop on the side of your old house?”
“Yeah?” You asked suspiciously.
“Well, some of us were wondering. If we helped out at the house again. Maybe you could ask your dad if we could use it to practice. I was thinking of joining the basketball team.” Sweet Pea sounded smugly happy when he said he’d join the team.
“We don’t need you on the team. The team has me.” Reggie said. He glared at Sweet Pea who looked at him calmly.
“I don’t think he’d have a problem with it. As long as you don’t break anything. He’d be happy for the help too. I’ll ask him tonight and let you know.” You said quickly. Sweet Pea nodded and waved a little as he went back to where Fangs and Toni were waiting for him.
“He’s terrible. At playing basketball. You should come down to the practice tonight and see.” Reggie said irritably.
“Oh really? Maybe I will.” You said snidely. Reggie panicked for a moment but shrugged it off.
True to your word you showed up and sat with Toni as you watched the practise. Sweet Pea managed to barge Reggie off his feet a few times. You flinched as he grunted and collided with the floor.
“You know that they’re competing?” Toni asked.
“Well obviously they’re on different teams.” You said. When Toni didn’t say anything else you glanced at her and found her laughing quietly to herself.
“They’re competing over you. He wouldn’t admit it but Sweet Pea likes you. Reggie is always watching you and he gets really upset when you hang around us. It’s more than the whole Southside, Northside thing. They both like you.” Toni watched as your eyes went wide and then you let out a low, drawn out.
“Ooohhh.” You nodded and glanced back at the basketball court. “That explains a lot of stuff.” You both laughed and watched until the end of the game.
“You’re going to have to pick which one you want or they’re going to get in a fight!” Toni teased you as their practice came to an end.

Can you make a part 2 of the Unrequited Love ||Cheryl Blossom fic where the reader becomes depressed and closed off barely showing up at school or something
Unrequired Love | Cheryl Blossom | Part ii
Tumblr media
Summary: Y/N deals with the fall out of her actions on Monday.
Warning: None
Requested: Yes, Unfortunately(?) I have had this part already written and posted on my Wattpad account so it doesn't really fit the request but her is part II.
Monday morning you were prepared for the worst. Knowing there would be no way to fight back with the battalion of student that would be throwing you hateful looks, in fact you would be lucky if that's all they would throw. But what could you do you were in no way a victim to in this story, you were the villain.
You had sent a girl off to the slaughter for your own selfish reasons. Not knowing or even caring if the ones she loved and loved her would ever see her again. Not thinking of how devastated Cheryl would be to learn of the demise of her first real love.
The hour in a half of sitting in your car in front of the school building did nothing to calm the raging storm inside your chest or loosen the noose you felt righting around your throat.
With one final deep breath you grab the handle and swing the car door open, step out and start marching towards the double doors with a look of false confidence on your face. Your heart jumps as you felt the cold handle of the entrance but you ouch it back yanking the door open and stepping into the crowded halls.
Making your way quickly down the hall to your locker trying to go unnoticed by your fellow peers and you were doing a good job of it until you felt both your arms being hooked to other human beings.
Your eyes travel up your arm to the face of the person you were now linked to and find a river vixen, turning your head you find another on the other arm.
"We heard about what you did." The one on your right started. "Honestly it was genius." she beamed with one of the brightest smiles you had ever seen in your life.
"Genius?" You asked so shocked a what she had just said you were 75% sure you were hearing things.
"Why of course, its about time someone sent a message to those slimy snakes." The one on the left cut in. "I mean southsiders are killing each other any ways what's the harm in giving them a little push every once in a while?" She explained.
"Don't worry the northside has you covered. #RiverdaleStrong." She said just as the bell signaled for fist period.
Breaking the link and splitting ways you make your way to your first period.
Although you were relieved that you weren't being ran from town by and angry mob with torches and pitch forks their words didn't give you the comfort you were sure they had intended. In fact they made you feel the exact opposite. You never minded that the southside student had started to attend riverdale, you were one of the ones that was all for this change it never made much sense to you that there be two schools in a town as small as riverdale,
Things didn't get any better once you arrived to first period English class, for the second time that day if felt as though your heart was going to leap out of your throat and all to the floor in front of you. As usual Cheryl was sitting in her usual seat in the middle of the classroom the seat to her left was occupied by Toni and the seat to her right was empty as it always was before you arrived.
Noticing your presence Toni stopped whatever conversation it was that she and Cheryl was having, Cheryl not long after following her gaze. You eyes locked together for no longer than a second before you broke it quickly walking father into the class. As you neared closer the you usual desk Cheryl hesitantly opened her mouth, only yo have you keep your steady pace and walk swiftly by her and to a desk that until now he's remained empty that you would not make yours. You felt her strong gaze on you the whole time, even after you had taken your seat and prepared for the class to begin. Despite being under her unwavering surveillance you kept your eyes glued to your desk, making it seem as though you were suddenly interested in the different grain design of your new desk top. Thankfully she was forced to turn around when the teacher walked into the room starting the lesson.
By the end of first period you had come to the concussion the what ever higher power controlled the corse of your life had some kind of vendetta against you. Because not only did you have a big project to do but you have been partnered with non other than Cheryl, granted it might have been all those time in the past when you and Cheryl had tried to raise hell when you weren't selected to be together to the point where teachers would just partner you together in order to avoid an argument.
Unlike everyone else in the class you had bolted out instead of trying to work out a schedule with you partner. You headed to you locker, putting in the combination quickly before reaching in and pulling out a highlighter starting to mark up the outline the teacher had passed out. Moments later you felt a presence next to you knowing exactly who it was you didn't bother to look up.
"So Y/N/N," Cheryl started. "I was thinking we could knock this out tonight like usual and then maybe a  cheesy romcom marathon for the rest of the night." Cheryl suggested with one of her brightest smile that would normally have you weak in the knees, but now you needed to stay strong.
You glance up noticing Toni standing close behind before looking back to your paper.
"Or we could do a facial night I know how much you love when we do that." She tries again.
After a few more moments of silence you cap you highlighter and place it back in you locker. Taking your outline and putting it in Cheryl's hands and taking hers which was peaking out of her bag.
"We can meet after school to go over the details of the project the highlighted lines are your responsibility, I'll take of the rest. Well meet once a week until the due the due date." You said all while switching out your book is for your next class. " if you have any questions or anything you can relay them to me in class." Closing your locker you turn and start to walk in the opposite direction.
Most of he day went by smoothly.despite having multiple classes together you managed to avoid Cheryl and the rest of the serpents. Until now when you were approached by Toni, Jughead and Sweet Pea.
"What do you want?" You asked trying not to show how scared you actually were.
"We just wanna talk." Jughead answered.
"We'll I'm not really in the mood for this particular conversation, but when  I am you'll be the first to know, Okay?" You replied attempting to push past the trio.
You felt a hand grip your upper arm and look back to see Toni, hand firmly planted on you body.
"Look you put out a hit on me the least you could do is listen to what we have to say." She said removing her hand from your arm and taking a step back.
"Oh she could do a lot less." A slightly familiar voice cuts in, not far way from your gathering you see the two girl that you have 'talked' to this morning accompanied by some bulldog including their captain Reggie Mantle.
"We don't want any trouble we were just here to tell Y/N, that all is forgiven between us." Toni said now directed at you.
"Whatever message received little snake." A bulldog replied. "Now you can all slither away.
After a few moments of glaring at each other the serpents finally walked away.
"Don't worry we have you back." Reggie said walking up to you.
"Yeah thanks." You mumbled watching Toni until she turned the corner leaving your sight.

The Truth: A last resort
Character: Reggie Mantle x male reader, Sweet Pea x male reader
Universe: Riverdale
Warnings: Suicidal thoughts and a try. Major sadness. Reading on your own risk.
The pouring rain, which completely wet you trough and trough, prevented you from seeing anything in front of you. But the way back home, was engraved in your brain. Still you choose the completely opposite direction.
Your feet carried you without any hesitation. Thoughts were a past mistake, that did not to seem to appear again.
Even minutes later, the hard rain, did not stop. It seemed to get even worse. But you were almost at the place where everything would come to a close.
In the distance, you could see the roofed wooden bridge, that lead outside of the small town you called your home. As soon as the roof protected you from the rain, you breathed in. Finally be able to do it without getting water in your lungs.
You leaned against the wooden barrier. Fishing your phone out of your pocket. Which was wet too. But still worked just fine. Opening it, you immediately got confronted with a picture of you and Reggie, after one of his games. He was completely sweaty and still in his gear. You kissed him, after he had won and to rub salt in the wound. Veronica had made this picture of you two without your knowledge. When you found it, you made it your background.
The next thing were your messages. Reading trough them, ripped your heart in a million pieces. The „I love you“ and the messages that were full of „I miss you“, even when you two just had parted ways.
Everything seemed fake now. But the worst of all was the knowledge that you friends were aware of it happening. And did nothing. As if you were unimportant and could be easily replaced.
And you begin to think. With your body half over the barrier. Until you finally came to the conclusion, that the time finally came. You fought against these things in your head for years. Always finding a new reason to fight on. But now after everything, you finally lost all hope. Now standing over the river that began to fill up trough the immense rainfall. You had finally the courage to do it. One last time, you looked trough your picture roll. Seeing all the „happy“ moments you had. Now just like then, really feeling nothing about them.
You thought that you finally had it. But apparently, it was all a just imagination. At least no one, would see your final breath. Maybe your body would even never be discovered or far away from this place.
As you put your phone back in your pocket. You stepped up to the bring of the outer side of the bride. Breathing in and out. Slowly counting to three. On the last number, you opened your eyes again, to look at the beautiful sight of the forest one last time, before closing them again.
Slowly you let yourself fall forward. A feeling of freedom and relief washed over you, as you finally realized that this was truly the end. You arms away from your body. Your feet began to loose the gravitation feeling that hold you in place of the bridge.
Just as you finally was gone trough all of your memories inside of your head, something unexpected happened. The gravitation became stronger again. Your feet got their hold back and the falling feeling began to dwindle.
Until you fully stood on the side of the bridge again. Just this time with two long, strong arms around you. Slowly lifting you over the barrier on the bridge itself. Confused and slightly angry, you turned to the person around.
As you looked him in the eyes, you world began to fall apart again. His jet black hair and mysterious dark eyes, reminded you so much of Reggie. But he was taller and a serpent tattoo was prominent on his neck.
You could see the concern in his most likely otherwise cold face. Just as he began to ask you a question, you suddenly bolted away. Running as fast as your legs could carry you, back home.
Coming trough the door. Your parents, immediately came to you. Concerned on their own, trying to help you. But you brushed past them, with an expressionless face as always.
Finally back in your bedroom, you let yourself fall onto you bed. Letting everything that had happened reminisce once more. It stopped at the kind stranger, saving you. His eyes asking so many questions. And you running away from him and your problems, once again. You could only hope, to never see him again.

• You're both loners and writers.
• When he started dating Betty you were so happy for him.
•But when he started ditching you to go hangout with her you 2 got distant.
•When he became Serpent King, it felt like you lost him forever.
•So you decided to make some new friends who weren't the Serpents or from Riverdale high.
•Your new friends are from Greendale.
•When Jughead found out, he went to YN's house to ask her about them.
•"Why do you need new friends when you have some already especially me?."
•"Because you guys are so busy and I can't just wait around until you're all ready to hangout with me, it feels like we're drifting apart and so I need new friends. I'm sorry Jughead."
•Jughead sighs and pulls you into a hug and mumbles, "I'm sorry I've been so busy, I promise from now. I'll make time for my other girl."
•"It's not your fault Juggie, I promise."
•Jughead keeps holding you against his chest moving hair out of your face before he said. "Can I meet your new friends?"
•"Sure, I'll tell them to come over."
•After Jughead met YN's new friends, he made a note in his head to keep hanging out with YN.
