it was a fic abt captain john price & the plot was abt how Lawswell hired a new fem!reader to take care of their paperwork & Price had taken quite some time warming up to reader & reader has some daddy issues & tries to hold back her crush for price **it had some hints of daddy/dom** its a slow burn & i fell asleep right at the good juicy stuff (bummer ik 😭)

& when she accidentally unloads all her issues onto Price cus he keeps dismissing her— poor woman jus needed to update their records & just needed some updated pics/info for their file— some things were said by reader & the reader got embarrassed & had walked away & took a few days off & when she came back from her lil self-care vaca, things were different; ppl from Prices team actually acknowledged her & started to go to her due to Price’s request

& i got to the part where they were talking thru it & the reader had made the ‘joke’ abt “you sound like you wanna be my daddy” & Price had flushed so so hard & reader was like ‘hehe what? why did i say that?’ lalala & was like nah bruh i meant that !

I was rereading flavovitta’s amazing urban fantasy AU fic, Of Covens and Magicians / ocam (if you haven’t read it, what are you doing????) and when I read this scene, I decided i HAD to draw it. I love this bit so much, just the whole chapter. I wish there was an OCAM manga or anime or anything! It’s such an incredible piece of writing, I’d recommend it even if you aren’t into A3!. This was quite a while ago, so the style is a little different to what I normally do these days, but I’m still super proud of it! I wanted to give it a dark, dramatic, cinematic feel to it. How did I do?

for all my complaints of dai, i will still give it that the opening is it's strongest point, and that's main problem in my eyes is that it does not let you have much room to make different personalities through out the game you play. while i think it would have been nice imo to have been able to see the conclave before it was destroyed, the fact the game is both so listless and limiting past the destruction of haven is the part it really falls flat. for me.

OH STARS WAIT I GOT IT! I nearly forgot but also thank goodness I have it written down. But like, Alec's backstory had been giving me the biggest headache of How Can I Make That Work?! cuz the original plan was that: Wrong place, wrong time, he gets kidnapped at age 15.

But then after inspecting it some more I'm like-- that literally doesn't work too well cuz the one that kidnaps him are people from an ORGANIZATION so like-- they can't just pluck random kids they see on the street all willy nilly.

BUT I FINALLY GOT IT! And... the solution was just pretty simple actually. Still a, wrong timing kind of thing but also not quite. Basically, Alec found the people While they were targetting homeless children. And Alec being Alec, stepped in to save them but that resulted in him getting taken instead. It works! I'M FREED!!! (Alec, not so much. Well, in the past. He's free now in the present).
