A massive challenge for us was finding a balance between being really faithful to the original film, which we all love, but also breathing some new life into it, letting it evolve, and bringing our own version to a new generation. And that’s a real fine line because you want to bring something new and exciting, but you also need to be really respectful of what came before. So that was one of our director Rob Marshall’s big jobs. He guided us on that really beautifully.

[ sharpe's background of being a pickpocket, a burglar, and a thief should definitely have been used more for comedy and less for tragedy in the sharpe series because can you imagine

you're an officer in the mess hall. you watch a 6'1" 95th Rifles officer walk in, pickpocket a colonel, hide an entire bottle of wine in his jacket, and stuff a handful of silverware into his shako. He has made eye contact with you the entire time. He throws up a two-finger salute in your direction on his way out. You go to say something, but one of the "exploring officers" stops you and starts rambling about this man's skills. He does this at least twice a week. He's the most efficient soldier in Wellington's army. He calls you a bastard to your face and steals your watch.

Honestly same. But for me it depends whose panel (and the fan’s questions tbh). Like for example every cockles panel is fun to watch because they themselves can’t be normal so no matter what, they find a way to do something stupid/chaotic. To me also Jensen’s solo panels are really good to watch because he does give good answers and thinks about the questions and he’s just as fun and funny alone as when he is with someone else. And obviously certain Misha panels are also easy to watch. I think it kind of depends on the con/fans if my brain can care enough to focus on it hdksks.
