The way they mesh, the way their views on mortality clash and both soothe & bruise… He doesn’t have much time left even in best case scenario (which Mr I won’t eat well I’ll drink and smoke a lot I’ll stress all day every day is determined to not make happen) which makes it all the more meaningful for Marcille’s arc when she learns from him to finally enjoy the present moments… It’ll only be a fraction of her life, but to him he’s giving her the rest of his life. What are some decades of love worth? Worth it, surely, if nothing else

Unstable yelled out on the radio before he saw you and you swore you saw his eyes sparkled. "[IDENTITY] [NAME]!! MY [SAVIOR]!!" Unstable cried out in happiness as he crawled towards you as best as he can, you then carried him bridal style as you got near him while a bot is on your tail. "How did you even get downed?" You asked the operative as you run zig zag, hearing a nextbot's sound coming closer. "WAS CHASING RANDOM [CIVILIAN] BECAUSE HE [T-BAGGED] ME. >:(" Unstable let out angry noises as you put him down to revive him, he was about to say his gratitude until he saw the nextbot coming to where you guys are. "WAIT RUN RUN RUN!! [DON'T] STOP!!" He yelled out.. ouch, as you carried him again in hurry.

Not too long you finally got into a safe spot to revive him. "THANK!" Unstable said as he sat down waiting for the round to end, you check the timer as it shows 10 seconds. "HEY.. [IDENTITY] [Name]..." Unstable called out to you as you look back at him letting out a 'hm?' as he giggled slightly before standing up.

The fics that have Feyd Rautha simp for Paul not because of a competency kink (which is arguably canon to the film - isn't that the reason why y'all say he looks turned on in the film?) but because of a misplaced adherence to the Bene Gesserit prophecy/plans (that Paul was meant to be Feyd's match in marital affairs) is not as inspired as you might think it is. It's not brave to say oh this boy was promised a gf and now he's pussywhipped for the boy he got in her stead. You've just reinvented a trans chaser with extra steps.

Also, the idea that Feyd Rautha would put that much faith in a prophecy feels reductive for a character that is already not a major-major player in the plot. I still need to read the book to get a better gauge on his character, but I've heard that he appears for a grand total of 4 scenes, which is kind of more or less the extent of his appearance in the films too. I would hope expanding on his characterisation meant giving him more agency (or at least a drive towards emancipation and agency) and more ambition amidst all the plans that have been made for him long before he was born. If he's truly as power hungry as Part Two seems to suggest - he has the will to assassinate his uncle Baron Harkonnen until he was appeased by the appointment of stewardship on Arrakis and the prospect of marrying Irulan for the throne - then what makes you think he would settle for doing as the Bene Gesserit expects of him? If he pursues Paul as a partner it would be through his own means and for reasons that defy the BG's chokehold on the imperium.

something something i have many thoughts on the deliciousness of jyn and cassian’s relationship being specifically about the... ambiguity, or if not the ambiguity, the places where it shirks and twists away from the modern hollywood play-by-numbers Movie Romance into something... earthier, messier, more human and intimate. like i don’t personally feel like we needed the kiss, or the infamous deleted wedding ending, as much as i would love to see it in the cut scenes, because i feel like what the movie provided us felt so much more true to character. because there is no kiss, no hollywood declaration of love, the audience has to look at the text as is and the body language and acting decisions and those are simply more insane than almost any other live action star wars couple

I had a lot of fun trying to get the right vibes for this, even if actually deciding what Aria would look like at this point in time was.. somewhat of an ordeal, haha
