you met jamie first, he was a little prick you weren’t very fond of, but when he transferred to afc richmond, he changed. he also met roy

jamie introduced you to roy and he fell for you immediately - you didn’t

it took you a while to like both of them

but you did like jamie first

it made roy furious - he started to treat jamie like some sort of slut

that’s when you talked to roy and you felt something when he looked at you with those eyes

your stomach churned and your heart fluttered- you didn’t do anything though

what you did do, was tell jamie

he was shocked at first, but he kind of understood your feelings

because he kind of felt those feelings for roy too

you mastered a plan to tell roy, but he crashed it, when he just pulled you aside one day and kissed you

he told you, that he couldn’t stop thinking of you and that he would tolerate the prick

you were so happy, both boys or men as roy would say, now happy and yours

at first you tried to hide your relationship- the team knew you were dating jamie, so the relationship between you and roy and jamie and roy had to be kept a secret

the relationship between roy and jamie was anyway a bit different- they weren’t like a couple couple (at least they thought they weren’t)

it was more like a bromance rather than a romance

hugging and showing love in the way of saying it or light touches was normal between the two, but kissing or even sex, wasn’t happening between the two ballers

as non intimate the relation between those two were, yours with them was even more intimate

jamie is definitely the soft one, he treats you like a princess. does everything for you and wants you all the time

roy had his arm around his waist

you were whispering sweet nothings, told him about your day and how much you missed your boys

jamie is such a softie, but you loved it

Summary: Things just aren’t the way they used to be, a reminder she has waking up.

Notes: Angst. Reader uses she/her pronouns. 0.4k words.

She sits, content, watching her boys argue over something. Soft light fills the space, casting a warm glow over everything. Only half paying attention to what they’re saying in favor of soaking in the scene. She feels oddly peaceful.

“Well, what do you think, doll?” They turn to her, eagerly awaiting another opinion, her opinion.

She hums. “I think you’re both idiots.”

“Well, we’re your idiots and you love us.” The two approach her.

“That, I can agree with.”

Jason wraps his arms around her from behind while Roy lays his forehead on her shoulder.

“What do you want for breakfast?” Jason looks down at his two lovers.

“Crepes and eggs?” She runs her hand through Roy’s hair as the two talk.

“I think we have the fruit for that.”

“We should at least have strawberries.” She chimes in. Their voices are soft, a juxtaposition to what it was like a mere moment ago.

“You going to do some work later?” Roy asks. She thinks of papers and pencils, a laptop screen full of creations of her own. They turn into bags and containers, gloves and coats, before it fades away. Suddenly she’s very aware of the necklace around her neck.

“Yeah, but movies tonight?”

“Movies.” Roy agrees.

“And you���ll still read with me later?”

“Wouldn’t miss it, Jay.” She says, leaning back into him.

Jason places a kiss on her head before moving away. The necklace feels heavy. She grabs his wrist before he can fully leave.

“Stay. Please. Just for a bit longer.”

“I gotta go do stuff, doll.”

“Please.” She tugs him back. “Stay.” Her voice is shaky yet firm, traces of desperation in it and her face.

Jason and Roy both sigh, sad and heavy. The redhead moves off her shoulder. Her necklace is burning.

He places his hand on her cheek, the other resting on her hip brushing against Jason’s wrist. “You need to wake up, sweetheart.”

The hand not holding Jason’s wrist goes over Roy’s. The tears in her eyes glisten. Pleads and desperation on the tip of her tongue, the fight to stay burning in her.

Jason places a kiss on the top of her head as Roy places one on her forehead.

Slowly her eyes open, the sunlight slipping through the curtains. Gently wiping away her tears, still basking in the dream. The feeling fades as she curls up, hand gripping the necklace around her neck.

“I miss you two. So much.”

The bed is too big.
