I’ve read the comments on my post abt soulsborne sleep token thing! Here’s some concept art I tried. More is on the way just… HW ew. Tagging people who were interested/encouraging this idea: @sleep-token @wingedinsect @moonchild-in-blue @foundationsofdecay @madsthenightowl @a-s-levynn
Undercut is me mindlessly rambling about what’s going on in my brain about this. Don’t read unless you like torturing yourself with reading.
I guess to start, I have only played Elden Ring (crucible knight more like crucible kill yours-IM JOKING), I’ve watched some lore videos on Elden Ring Bloodborne and DS1, haven’t played DS1 yet, and have all the art books except DS2 (cause nobody likes DS2). I’ve played very limited DND games. I’ve read lots of weaponry wiki pages but I have bad memory. If any information I say below is incorrect (like I say this sword is two-handed but it’s not or I misspell spauldor… spalder? Spauldron?) please correct me. I’m just using information I know and I’m always open to suggestions and feedback!
Random Lore Bits: Sleep and the Whale lived in peace but Sleep was always the higher deity. It created all that lives on the land and the TMBTE creatures. Sleep had many worhsippers but Vessel and the rest stood out. They were appointed as the highest knights of sleep. Vessel always had Sleep’s favor and therefore became Sleep’s vessel. Confusing I’m aware lmao. Sleep and Whale became enemies somehow and Sleep injured the whale, causing it to die. This time period before the Whale’s death was called Eden. NPCs speak of Eden all the time about how, “Peace and day has never been restored since Eden” “Eden is over” “If the whale were here, Eden would still be here”. All followers of Sleep become corrupt.
Bosses: Once killed, all bosses turn into statues and have branches grow out of them. They aren’t dead, just dormant. You can fight them again but returning to their fight area and making an offering of a certain amount of tokens. Once defeated again they return to being dormant. If you defeat all resurrected bosses (fought each one twice) you get smth called a Talisman of Blood (important later).
Regular enemies: Idk skeletons???? Giant birds??? Snakes???? Giant insectoids Idk bro???
Location: Like Elden Ring lands between, it’s called Fields of Elation. The capital city is either Nazareth or Jericho. I’ll try to incorporate Calcutta somehow. Geography is a mix of frigid coast, deep dark forest, large cavernous cave strictures, old ruined castles with mysterious rusty machinery inside, sparatic temples to sleep (all whale temples were destroyed), and the remnants of towns. Large trade road that goes through the entirety of the land is called the Path of Reason??? Idk bro I’m spitballing.
Currency: Tokens. Killing enemies and bosses earns you large amounts of tokens and like how runes work, you can level up you and your armaments with them.
Waypoints: Sites of grace, bonfires, more like RITUALS (I am not funny). I think calling waypoints rituals makes sense.
Flasks HP/FP: Estus Flask, Flask of Crimson/Cruelean Tears…. How about Flssk of H I G H W A T E R. Nah I’m kidding. No idea! Suggestions are open! I’m reading lyrics and nothings jumping out.
Incantations/Spells: Can be equipped to magic armaments and weapons! Kinda like you can choose between spell sword or just being a wizard.
Player Character: Tarnished, undead, hunter…. No idea what to call them. Robes and garments Very inspired by TPWBYT. Thinking the whale was an ancient god defeated by Sleep. Player Character is gifted with a certain power of the whale and was resurrected to defeat Sleep. Game opens with epic cutscene and player charter emerges from a cavern (TLYW) and goes through it before finding themselves on the coast of a freezing raging sea and an inviting forest. There’s probably one class you play as cause I’m lazy and you just collect armor and new weapons on the journey. TLYW style robes with greaves, hood, and gauntlets. Basic longsword.
Vessel: I’ve read the feedback and I agree that staff needs to stay. Live laugh staff. I’ve seen a few Elden ring builds where it’s right armament is staff for casting the long range stuff and left armament is a short sword, miséricorde (mercy dagger), scimitar(?), or other various short weapons. I like the image of this because I imagine him having somewhat light armor so if you’re far away, he spell. If you’re close, he stab. Spells are gonna be red. Change my mind. I like the Elden Ring boss Maliketh’s magic attacks so I imagine something like that. I imagine his boss fight starts with epic cut scene with him kneeled in a big arching cathedral temple type place and he’s like, “you seek to defeat the vessel of Sleep, foolish warrior? I have not known defeat against those of the sea nor those of Sleep” or some crazy bs like that. Half health, hands of Sleep show up and swipe and grab and Player Character. Just giant spindly hands that appear and float around. Attempts to break away form Sleep control but fails so that why he evil >:}
II: Dual wielding… what? No idea. I want him to dual wild some sort of straight weapon cause like drumsticks but honestly… sickles are so badass… Med. to light armor so he can move around a lot. Some sort of helmet with feather Mohawk. Boss area is probably in a fort outside of the main city. Just you and this guy. Get ready for a stamina check.
III: I’m torn between frenzied flame/black flame style magic user or spell sword. If magic, light armor. If spell sword, med. armor. Boss fight in a large old temple, candlelit and torn tapestries everywhere. Better have some fire immunity talismans on you.
IV: Halbert. All the way. Heavy armor my guy. Idk not much to say. Thinking banished knight ornstein inspo?? Boss fight Outside the gates to Vessel/Sleep’s castle. Vigor check time!!!
Chokehold: large dark cavern with webs strung about. It appears from above like, “A traitor to Sleep, hm? Pity. You seemed like you would be a good asset to the Vessel’s artillery.” Big axe time. High HP high strength boss. Vulnerable spot is probably its stomach area. Gives you armor, weapon, talisman, and incantation “Branches in a Flood” (roots sprout from the ground and entangle enemy).
The Summoning: Player probably stumbles upon the fight after meeting Aqua Regia and Granite. Mean killing machine. Idk what else to say erm… maybe player interacts with a sleep token symbol on a pillar with runes and it summons (pun intended) the summoning creature??? Stonehenge lookin boss area. Armor, weapons, talisman, and incantations are dropped.
Granite: Relatively peaceful NPC. Dialogue options are cool and it probably raises stats and alters your armaments. Quest line ends with Granite maybe just becoming dormant or it becomes a member of sleep again and sad boss fight initiates. Drops its armor, axes, root/weed talisman that increases stamina and immunity.
Aqua Regia: Chill and never ends in boss fight. Probably lets you summon them during other boss fights. Spear and sword. Gifts you new armor and talismans. Quest line maybe ends with them becoming too weak to keep battling and becomes dormsnt. You get their armor, spear, sword, rose talisman that raises FP, and a spell/incantation that shoots gold acid rays called Gold Rush or smth similar (Like Aqua Regia? Get it?)
Vore: Awesome boss. Inflicts poison damage for sure. I think we can all imagine how fighting Vore would be. In a poison lake haha it wants you to suffer. Armor, weapons, talisman, and incantations are dropped.
Ascensionism: Swords swords swords. Pulls a Starscourge Radahn and turns a meteor and player has to dodge lmao (cause yk ascending). Boss area is probably in a giant colosseum that’s old and crumbling. Armor, weapons, talisman, and incantations are dropped.
Are You Really Okay?: Player character pulls a stupid and decides to touch and inspect the strange incubator with a fetus inside and AYRO appears and is like “DONT TOUCH MY CHILD” initiate boss fight. Small castle is the boss fight area. Armor, weapons, talisman, and incantations are dropped.
The Apparition: Big guy, big hammer. Boss fight is somewhere in a forest clearing. No other ideas for it. Drops weapons, armor, talisman, incantations like everyone else.
DYWTYLM: Chokehold but with tiny dagger and looks like a giant engine. Probably shoots fire from the pipes on its body? Chokehold is PISSED if you defeat this guy first. Brothers fr fr. Boss fight in an old building filled with machinery. Speed is low but HP is super high. Drops armor, weapons, incantations, and talisman.
Rain: Your magic immunity better be HIGH. Renala style fight: Crazy hits, bad defense. Probably drops some crazy cool incantations, armor (really bad armor), and a talisman of fire immunity and raises your FP. Boss fight area is in a shiny crystaly forest area surrounded by weeping willow/wisteria like trees.
Take Me Back To Eden: The last boss before Vessel. Killer fight. Armor is also fire??? Difficult but probably super dope. Boss fight is in a SUPER large hallway in the castle of Sleep. Drops weapons, armor, talisman of resistance against airborne attacks.
Euclid: NPC that’s probably cranky and hesitant to befriend you at first. Still a follower of Sleep but respects the players fate to defeat the sleepmiester (I’m so tired bro—). Might fight you idk.Once dormant, drops and old mask of Vessel, a few incantations, and armor.
Endings: Endings one: You defeat vessel, sleep becomes dormant and no gods rule over the land. Retires and vessels are resurrected. Endings 2: You defeat vessel and become the new Vessel of Sleep. No difference from first ending, you just chose if ya wanna be evil or not. Endings 3: If you acquire the Talisman of Blood, Sleep sees you worthy to fight them without using a vessel. Radagon Elden Beast situation. When you defeat sleep, the whale is resurrected.

“Oh, nothing, nothing. Someone in Uberwald seems to be taking an interest in him lately. And now he’s dead. I would not dream of telling the Watch their job, of course.” He watched Colon carefully to see if this had sunk in.
“I said that it is entirely up to you to choose what to investigate in this bustling city,” he prompted.
Colon was lost in unfamiliar country without a map.
“Thank you, sah!” he barked.
Vetinari sighed. “And now, Acting Captain, I’m sure there’s much that needs your attention.”
“Sah! I’ve got plans to—”
“I meant, do not let me detain you.”
“Oh, that’s all right, sir, I’ve got plenty of time—”
“Goodbye, Acting Captain Colon.”

I had a great week. The downloader overhaul is in its last act, and I've fixed and added some other neat stuff. There's also a neat hydrus-related project for advanced users to try out.
Late breaking edit: Looks like I have broken e621 queries that include the '/' character this week, like 'male/female'! Hold off on updating if you have these, or pause them and wait a week for me to fix it!
misc
I fixed an issue introduced in last week's new pipeline with new subs sometimes not parsing the first page of results properly. If you missed files you wanted in the first sync, please reset the affected subs' caches.
Due to an oversight, a mappings cache that I now take advantage of to speed up tag searches was missing an index that would speed it up even further. I've now added these indices--and your clients will spend a minute generating them on update--and most tag searches are now superfast! My IRL client was taking 1.6s to do the first step of finding 5000-file tag results, and now it does it in under 5ms! Indices!
The hyperlinks on the media viewer now use any custom browser launch path in options->files and trash.
downloader overhaul (easy)
I have now added gallery parsers for all the default sites hydrus supports out the box. Any regular download now entirely parses in the new system. With luck, you won't notice any difference, but let me know if you get any searches that terminate early or any other problems.
I have also written the new Gallery URL Generator (GUG) objects for everything, but I have not yet plugged these in. I am now on the precipice of switching this final legacy step over to the new system. This will be a big shift that will finally allow us to have new gallery 'seachers' for all kinds of new sites. I expect to do this next week.
When I do the GUG switch, anything that is supported by default in the client should switch over silently and automatically, but if you have added any new custom boorus, a small amount of additional work will be required on your end to get them working again. I will work with the other parser-creators in the community to make this as painless as possible, and there will be instructions in next week's release post. In any case, I expect to roll out nicer downloaders for the popular desired boorus (derpibooru, FA, etc...) as part of the normal upcoming update process, along with some other new additions like artstation and hopefully twitter username lookup.
In any case, watch this space! It's almost happening!
downloader overhaul (advanced)
So, all the GUGs are in place, and the dialog now saves. If you are interested in making some of your own, check what I've done. I'm going to swap out the legacy 'gallery identifier' object with GUGs this coming week, and fingers-crossed, it will mostly all just swap out no prob. I can update existing gallery identifiers to my new GUGs, which will automatically inherit the url classes and parsers I've already got in place, but custom boorus are too complicated for me to update completely automatically. I will try to auto-generate gallery and post url parsers, but users will need GUGs and url classes to get working again. I think the best solution is if we direct medium-level users to the parser github and have them link things together manually, and then follow-up with whatever 'easy import' object I come up with to bundle downloader-capability into a single object. And as I say above, I'll also fold in the more popular downloaders into some regular updates. I am open to discuss this more if you have ideas!
Furthermore, I've extended url classes this week to allow 'default' values for path components and query parameters. If that component or parameter is missing from a given URL, it will still be recognised as the URL class, but it will gain the default value during import normalisation. e.g. The kind of URL safebooru gives your browser when you type in a query:
https://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=list&tags=contrapposto
Will be automatically populated with an initialising pid=0 parameter:
https://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&pid=0&s=list&tags=contrapposto
This helps us with several "the site gives a blank page/index value for the first page, which I can't match to a paged URL that will then increment via the url class"-kind of problems. It will particularly help when I add drag-and-drop search--we want it so a user can type in a query in their browser, check it is good, and then DnD the URL the site gave them straight into hydrus and the page stuff will all get sorted behind the scenes without them having to think about it.
I've updated a bunch of the gallery url classes this week with these new defaults, so again, if you are interested, please check them out. The Hentai Foundry ones are interesting.
I've also improved some of the logic behind download sites' 'source url' pre-import file status checking. Now, if URL X at Site A provides a Source URL Y to Site B, and the file Y is mapped to also has a URL Z that fits the same url class as X, Y is now distrusted as a source (wew). This stops false positive source url recognition when the booru gives the same 'original' source url for multiple files (including alternate/edited files). e621 has particularly had several of these issues, and I am sure several others do as well. I've been tracking this issue with several people, so if you have been hit by this, please let me if and know this change fixes anything, particularly for new files going forward, which have yet to be 'tainted' by multiple incorrect known url mappings. I'll also be adding some 'just download the damned file' checkboxes to file import options as I have previously discussed.
A user on the discord helpfully submitted some code that adds an 'import cookies.txt' button to the review session cookies panels. This could be a real neat way to effect fake logins, where you just copy your browser's cookies, so please play with this and let me know how you get on. I had mixed success getting different styles of cookies.txt to import, so I would be interested in more information, and to know which sites work great at logging in this way, and which are bad, and which cookies.txt browser add-ons are best!
a web interface to the server
I have been talking for a bit with a user who has written a web interface to the hydrus server. He is a clever dude who has done some neat work, and his project is now ready for people to try out. If you are fairly experienced in hydrus and would like to experiment with a nice-looking computer- and phone-compatible web interface to the general file/tag mapping system hydrus uses, please check this out:
https://github.com/mserajnik/hydrusrvue
https://github.com/mserajnik/hydrusrv
https://github.com/mserajnik/hydrusrv-docker
In particular, check out the live demo and screenshots here:
https://github.com/mserajnik/hydrusrvue/#demo
Let him know how you like it! I expect to write proper, easier APIs in the coming years, which will allow projects like this to do all sorts of new and neat things.
full list
clients should now have objects for all default downloaders. everything should be prepped for the big switchover:
wrote gallery url generators for all the default downloaders and a couple more as well
wrote a gallery parser for deviant art--it also comes with an update to the DA url class because the meta 'next page' link on DA gallery pages is invalid wew!
wrote a gallery parser for hentai foundry, inkbunny, rule34hentai, moebooru (konachan, sakugabooru, yande.re), artstation, newgrounds, and pixiv artist galleries (static html)
added a gallery parser for sankaku
the artstation post url parser no longer fetches cover images
url classes can now support 'default' values for path components and query parameters! so, if your url might be missing a page=1 initialsation value due to user drag-and-drop, you can auto-add it in the normalisation step!
if the entered default does not match the rules of the component or parameter, it will be cleared back to none!
all appropriate default gallery url classes (which is most) now have these default values. all default gallery url classes will be overwritten on db update
three test 'search initialisation' url classes that attempted to fix this problem a different way will be deleted on update, if present
updated some other url classes
when checking source urls during the pre-download import status check, the client will now distrust parsed source urls if the files they seem to refer to also have other urls of the same url class as the file import object being actioned (basically, this is some logic that tries to detect bad source url attribution, where multiple files on a booru (typically including alternate edits) are all source-url'd back to a single original)
gallery page parsing now discounts parsed 'next page' urls that are the same as the page that fetched them (some gallery end-points link themselves as the next page, wew)
json parsing formulae that are set to parse all 'list' items will now also parse all dictionary entries if faced with a dict instead!
added new stop-gap 'stop checking' logic in subscription syncing for certain low-gallery-count edge-cases
fixed an issue where (typically new) subscriptions were bugging out trying to figure a default stop_reason on certain page results
fixed an unusual listctrl delete item index-tracking error that would sometimes cause exceptions on the 'try to link url stuff together' button press and maybe some other places
thanks to a submission from user prkc on the discord, we now have 'import cookies.txt' buttons on the review sessions panels! if you are interested in 'manual' logins through browser-cookie-copying, please give this a go and let me know which kinds of cookies.txt do and do not work, and how your different site cookie-copy-login tests work in hydrus.
the mappings cache tables now have some new indices that speed up certain kinds of tag search significantly. db update will spend a minute or two generating these indices for existing users
advanced mode users will discover a fun new entry on the help menu
the hyperlinks on the media viewer hover window and a couple of other places are now a custom control that uses any custom browser launch path in options->files and trash
fixed an issue where certain canvas edge-case media clearing events could be caught incorrectly by the manage tags dialog and its subsidiary panels
think I fixed an issue where a client left with a dialog open could sometimes run into trouble later trying to show an idle time maintenance modal popup and give a 'C++ assertion IsRunning()' exception and end up locking the client's ui
manage parsers dialog will now autosort after an add event
the gug panels now normalise example urls
improved some misc service error handling
rewrote some url parsing to stop forcing '+'->' ' in our urls' query texts
fixed some bad error handling for matplotlib import
misc fixes
next week
The big GUG overhaul is the main thing. The button where you select which site to download from will seem only to get some slightly different labels, but in truth a whole big pipeline behind that button needs to be shifted over to the new system. GUGs are actually pretty simple, so I hope this will only take one week, but we'll see!

For Carlito: 5) What is their sexual orientation? 6)What is their alignment? 7)What is your character’s goal(s)? 53)Give us an in-game interaction between your character and Zenyatta. 76)What are your character’s hobbies? 77)If they played d&d what class and race would they pick? 80)What do they look for in a partner? 83)Do they have any (other) pets or companions? 90) in-game interaction between your character and Emma + Visor.
5) What is their sexual orientation?
Bi, though when he’ in between relationships and looking for some one night action, he leans way more towards guys.
6) What is their alignment?
I’d say Neutral Good, He’s not really chaotic at all, but he joined a bunch of Vigilantes way too quickly to be lawful, and he has a well defined moral compass and believes in bettering the world, so Neutral good is a solid fit.
7) What is your character’s goal(s)?
For a long time he wanted to be a vet, after he gave up on that he’d hoped for nurse, then vet again once he quit the military… but after a taste of being a vet he found that loving animals and wanting to spend the rest of your life covered in cat sick were… not mutually exclusive? Now he’s doing this vigilante thing, but honestly he doesn’t know, he’s just going with whatever feels right at this point. I think his goal is to find a goal.
53) Give us an in-game interaction between your character and Zenyatta.
Zenyatta: “Are the breathing exercises we discussed helping at all?”
Carlito: “Oh yes, they work wonders, I even slept last night!”
or
(Gibraltar specific with either Zenyatta or Genji present)
Carlito: “Will we be meditating on the cliffs again? The view was beautiful”
If Zenyatta: “It was indeed, but there are many such views to discover still”
if Genji: “I did not appreciate this place’s beauty when I was first here. I’m glad for another chance”
(I headcanon Zen as an all purpose guru; spiritual advice, breathing exercises and even some Yoga classes all rolled into one. Also Carlito has some PTS from his military time mostly manifesting as anxiety leading up to missions, robot mode during mission, and if a shoot out happened, trouble sleeping/even trouble breathing the following night)
76) What are your character’s hobbies?
Carlito fancies himself to be pretty sporty, but truth be told he hasn’t done anything more than jogging in months, so his hobbies are mostly jogging, watching football/talking about it like he still plays regularly, saying “I’d love to go swimming again soon” and swearing he’ll hit the gym more but then getting busy with Desperate Housewives reruns. Also buying more dog toys than Diego will EVER use, anyone whose ever met him would list that as a hobby… or obsession.
77) If they played d&d what class and race would they pick?
His first session he’d be deeply confused, and roll a Human Paladin which he would play very rigidly, then Visor would talk to him about it and an all nighter of the two talking DnD stuff later He’d rock up to session two with a new character sheet to be a custom-race Werewolf Rogue with one level multiclassed into sorcerer. Winston(Obviously he’s the DM, keep up) let’s him get away with a few below average rolls and a couple crazy ideas and suddenly he’s Mister DnD and will not shut up about it, even discussing the campaign mid mission, trying to stress Winston into spilling future plot points.  Addendum to the hobbies question: He plays DnD religiously.
80) What do they look for in a partner?
Between Diego and his own love of animals, Dog-Lover is a hard minimum, if you don’t like dogs, Carlito don’t like you (As a partner). Otherwise? He likes people who are open and honest, not one for people who hide their feelings or intentions, or who play games with people. He prefers people on his level, intellectually and class wise, he could never date someone super wealthy or way-way smarter than him.  (In regards to that last one though, the persons type of smarts has a big effect on how much smarter they can be than him before it’s a problem. Someone who corrects his maths a bunch? fine. Calls out his poor grammar/spelling/incorrect word use? kicked to the curb. Talks over him in conversation to correct him about something minor because they just HAVE to show off their smarts? literally fed to Diego)
83) Do they have any (other) pets or companions?
Nope, just Diego. Carlito wouldn’t want to split his time for care and affection between more pets, and Diego likes having Carlito to himself too.
90) in-game interaction between your character and Emma + Visor.
Emma: “Hey Carlito! Hey Diego! Ready to go?”
Carlito: “As we’ll ever be, right boy?” Diego: *Affirmative bark*
and
Carlito: “Say Visor, you up for a game after this? Be nice to unwind”
Visor: “Sounds great! Glad I brought my dice!”
or
Carlito: “Say Visor, you up for some ‘ball after this? Be nice to work up a sweat”
Visor: “Diyos ko(Oh God), uh yeah! Sounds great!”
(Visor is plenty athletic to play ball… he’s just not ready for Carlito’s running around sweaty and shirtless again… or for being up close to see it this time. Watching from Winston’s lab was one thing, but he just isn’t ready for it to be right there)

Novartis and DNDi to Collaborate on the Development of a New Oral Drug to Treat Visceral Leishmaniasis
Novartis and the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi), a not-for-profit research and development (R&D) organization, have signed a collaboration and licence agreement to jointly develop LXE408, as a potential new oral treatment for visceral leishmaniasis, one of the world’s leading parasitic killers.
LXE408 is a first-in-class compound, discovered at Novartis with financial support from the Wellcome Trust.  Within the scope of the agreement, Novartis is responsible for completing Phase I clinical trials. In addition, it will drive pharmaceutical development and regulatory submissions. Upon approval, Novartis has committed to distributing the drug on an affordable basis worldwide with a focus on maximizing access in endemic countries.
DNDi will lead Phase II and Phase III clinical development, with the first Phase II study scheduled to start in early 2021 in India. Additional trials are planned to take place in East Africa, which has the highest burden of visceral leishmaniasis.
“Existing treatments for visceral leishmaniasis are simply not good enough. They are too long, increasingly ineffective, and can be toxic, painful, and costly,” said Dr Bernard Pécoul, Executive Director of DNDi. “Our hope is to radically transform this by developing new oral drugs that are affordable, safe, effective, easy to take, and can also be adapted to meet the treatment needs of patients in different countries.”
Over one billion people worldwide are at risk of leishmaniasis, which is transmitted by the bite of a sand fly. Visceral leishmaniasis, also known as kala-azar, is the most serious form of leishmaniasis, causing fever, weight loss, spleen and liver enlargement, and if left untreated, death. There are an estimated 50 000 to 90 000 new cases per year. Treating the disease is complex as it is dependent on the species of infecting parasite and the country, as treatment responses differ from region to region.
“Novartis has a long-term commitment to neglected tropical diseases that spans several decades. Diseases caused by kinetoplastid parasites, such as leishmaniasis, are one of our strategic research priorities and, together with our partners, we have developed a promising portfolio of drug candidates,” said Dr Lutz Hegemann, Chief Operating Officer for Global Health at Novartis. “We are excited to collaborate with DNDi to reimagine treatment options for people with leishmaniasis around the world.”
Broader partnerships
The collaboration between DNDi and Novartis is aligned with a broader program with the Wellcome Trust and other partners to develop new combinations of entirely new, all-orally acting chemical entities, to treat visceral leishmaniasis and cutaneous leishmaniasis, another form of the disease.
The program brings together a strong consortium of R&D partners, including the University of Dundee, GSK, Pfizer, TB Alliance, and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited. These partners have built a portfolio of lead series, pre-clinical and clinical drug candidates, originating from different chemical classes with different mechanisms of action against leishmania parasites.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Novartis from drug development to delivering a promising new oral treatment for visceral leishmaniasis. Together, we can contribute to sustaining elimination efforts in India and altering the treatment landscape in East Africa,” said Dr Fabiana Alves, Head of Visceral Leishmaniasis Clinical Program at DNDi.

Cypher: How to get out of people killing you by using the power of rhyme!
Cypher: If you're about to get stabbed, say "I have too much swagger for the dagger". Your murderer should accept this as an excuse not to stab you.
Cypher: If you're about to be shot, say "I'm too pullet for the bullet". Your murderer will be too busy trying to figure out what the word pullet means to shoot you. In this instance, make your escape while making chicken noises.

Set, holding up a paper: We meant "stronger" here, right?
Chernobog: What's it say?
Set, reading: "I'm proud to report that our party is stranger than it was a year ago."
Chernobog: That's a typo.
Set: It could go either way.
