Hey webfishing players (Me included, Hi) If you have a user by the name of; "Grincher" brute force his way into your offline lobby that you wanna solo or you just started up a code only lobby for friends The best way to keep him out, is to set your game to "Friends Only", when you go to start up a server. This way, the hijacker would have to actually friend you on steam, just to access your lobby. This works great for soloing Webfishing, or inviting friends that you know personally without a code, and without a unwanted visitor joining and causing harm to your save file. Stay safe out there!, and remember, when you do catch the dude's steam account, please report it for exploiting. as even if this is a harmless exploit, it's very much causing inconveniences and stress to people, worried about their IP's being scraped. Even if he can't, still just only play "Friends Only" lobbies. for solo/inviting friends to your game from now on, until the dev figures out how to fix this headache of a exploit.

I don't know how anybody is surprised about 4chan. We always figured that's how it would crash and sink. When you're best known for hosting some of the most volatile communities on the Internet in what amounts to a roiling vat in cyberspace, eventually there's gonna be some nasty splashback.

My understanding is that security on 4chan hasn't been updated since somewhere around 2016. Mods appear to be getting completely hosed, but not any specific registered users. Yet.

Huge mess.
