Arthur: “We’re supposed to be hunting. It requires speed, strength, and an agile mind!” Merlin: "So you're able to get by on two of the three then?"

Uther: “If this were a time of war, I’d have you flogged.” Merlin: “But since it’s not we’ll let it go just this once?”

"One day you'll transform into a beautiful prince. But magic's outlawed in Camelot so that'll probably never happen."                                      

Merlin: "She likes you?" Gaius: nods head Merlin:"Oh, that is disgusting." "Imagine...imagine if she kissed you! UGH"

Arthur: "Take some advice from someone who knows about women-” Merlin: “If such a person existed maybe I would”

Arthur: "You have the mind of a child" Merlin: "Yet I'm still more intelligent than you" 

"I take it you haven't come all this way JUST TO SMASH MY FAVORITE POT"

Leon: "Whats the job, exactly?" Merlin: "To kill Arthur" Leon: "Driving you mad isn't he?" Merlin: "Not for much longer!"

Gaius: “Sometimes two heads are better than one.” Merlin: “Yes but not when one of them is yours.” 

"PERCIVAL, that is a sword, it DOES hurt"

"Will it be hot? Will it be cold? Will it be wet? Will it be dry?" 

Merlin: "I wouldn't do that if I were you because if you do that....you'll never learn of my plan." Arthur: "... What plan?" Merlin: "EXACTLY! That's why you can't run me through!"

"Don't think too hard, I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself"

"Are you threatening me with a SPOON?"

Morgana: "You’re just my imagination" Merlin: "That’s right. I’m not really here. Just pretend i’m not really here!"

"The belt is one hole shy of perfection!"

"Do you want us to help you?.... Or do you want to do this alOoOone"

I like how even when Arthur's life is literally being threatened, he's still being a brat about it. The all-powerful keeper of the unicorns tells him the rules to a test that could make or break his entire kingdom and he's all "What kind of a ridiculous test is that!?!? What does that prove" and then makes this face

“You didn’t tell me your name,” Arthur said, enjoying the way the man jumped as he was pulled from his thoughts.

The sorcerer blinked owlishly, then focused his bright blue gaze on the prince. “You again? I didn’t realize princes read.”

Arthur gestured to the towering shelf of books, “I didn’t realize Geoffrey of Monmouth was stupid enough to let a Druid in here. Did they make you take the oaths?”

The sorcerer tsked, “I’m not going to steal anything.”

“Ah, nothing useful then?”

“You’re awfully talkative for a sublunary from Camelot.” The sorcerer eyed Arthur’s red vest disdainfully. “Didn’t your father tell you all about the scary magical Druids? Don’t all the little boys and girls in Camelot know that looking at a Druid for too long will turn your teeth green or make your hair fall out or something?” The man waved one long hand dismissively, “Alakazam, boo, go away little prince, before I turn you into a frog for being annoying.”

Arthur laughed, enjoying the sorcerer’s irritation immensely. “Alakazam? Seriously?”

So, like, I’ve been noticing that I have adopted certain traits from both Sawyer AND Juliet (specifically/mostly the Season 5 versions of them).

It’s as if my OTP is just my second set of parents I guess??? Like I have absorbed them into myself.

Previously, when I was a child, that was Obi-Wan and Satine’s job (Star Wars), but now that I’m older, the sassiness, calm, strong-willedness and chaos has just evolved into a Sawyer and Juliet type beat.

A lot of other people tend to be like a combination of their favorite OTPs as well, like I know someone who’s an Arthur/Merlin guy and an Aziraphale/Crowley guy. I can definitely tell which parts of his personality are from each character. Mans is interesting.

So, anyway, what’s y’all’s favorite ships and do you think you at some point became blends of the characters in those ships?
