I was playing with my 4 year old lil brother and he, in simplistic terms, pitched a world where, due to the flooding resulting from a meteorite strike, cowboys were forced improvise sailing ships and turn into western-aestheticed pirates and I am now obsessed

I believe in immortal scully in the sense that scully doesn’t die. However I also believe in immortal mulder in the sense that every time he dies (and it happens fairly often), he just resurrects. RIP to everyone else but he’s different. presumably because he doesn’t know how to leave scully alone for any extended period of time

I was made aware of this through a reddit post: we can nominate movies to be preserved in the National Film Registry, and we should nominate some Dreamworks movies. Shrek is already in it. The criteria is that the nominations must be at least 10 years old and an American film. With this in mind, I think we should nominate the following movies to be preserved in the registry:

I took the retro train to go to Gagra (Abkhazia) yesterday. It's 60 km to the south from where I'm staying, but it takes 3 hours because of border control. The train is really nice, the dining car is made to look like 1980s and there's an open carriage! Apparently, there are only three carriages like that in Russia (others are in Karelia and somewhere in Siberia).

The view from the window is amazing the whole time because the route goes along the coastline.
