If you were to ask me what is the most fucked up out there cdrama I have ever watched, the huge hit that was Sealed with a Kiss would be it.

It was made in 2011 and would never ever pass censorship now in any way. Our heroine is an innocent young woman who is blackmailed into sexual slavery by a fucked up married businessman who does it for vengeance on her (dead) parents but then develops feelings.

It’s FWSC at her most unhinged (stuff that is sort-of ok in period setting looks truly unhinged in a modern) and I loathed the ML but oh god was this drama addictive!

It’s frankly dizzying how quickly and how throughly censorship screws got tightened in China. Regardless what one thinks of this type of narrative, the fact that it was released with no issues and was a big hit a decade ago and now it is literally unthinkable in every way (and this drama has NO political message or implication, it’s pure melo) is…well.

'A Hag, a Hex, a Tale of Redemption' presents an organic and fun execution of a familiar premise. 'Time and too much don't belong together' is a clever deconstruction of magical bonding spells and their implications, with Ron and Draco as the bonded party. However, it is still very much a Drarry story and a fun one at that. So, enjoy!
